"The Bay Area is home to a large Burmese population, with some of the best Burmese restaurants in the country — including several located in the outer East Bay suburbs. Aung MayLiKa, a family-operated restaurant with locations in Benicia and Concord, is a great place to sample a variety of traditional Burmese dishes, including an exceptional pureed catfish chowder (mohinga), coconut chicken noodle soup, and chicken biryani. In addition to takeout and delivery, Aung MayLika now also offers outdoor patio dining." - Rebecca Shea

Google
My ratings is mainly targeting the flavours, it didn't really felt like a good burmese food. Briyani has over powering star anise taste, it is ok, but I won't say it is the nicest briyani I've had. We also ordered an appetizer and a pork dish, the appetizer was really good, nice flavors and beautifully cooked. Pork dish is overly salty for me.

Google
Generous portions, tasty dishes, reasonably priced! The pea shoots were on the salty side, but overall a great meal! Also friendly service and unusual wine list for a Burmese restaurant. Wonderful experience!

Google
Great lunch experience.. Beatrice was a great host and server. Got seated in the patio that could use some cooling. Interiors looks outdated and ready for a makeover.. service was great though would have like the burmese wings before the main course.. we ordered the tea leaf salad. Very flavorful and with crisp addons . Spicy noodles.. garlic eggplants.. pepper beef and burmese fried chicken.. cocktails were good. The spicy mescal.. tequla mule were ok but the bourbon cocktail made stiff was awesome..topped off with a crispy banana jackfruit springroll and tea ice cream.. fantastic! Great first experience and be back for more..

This restaurant is about a half mile from my home, but I never noticed it until my son took us there recently. It's easy to miss if you're not looking, which is too bad, as I enjoyed the food very much. My son has a good friend whose family owns a Burmese restaurant in Berkeley, so he introduced us to the cuisine, which we enjoyed. I thought this was also excellent. They also have a good selection of beer and bar drinks, if you like that.

Can you please make the inside look like a restaurant not like a storage of furnitures? Pandemic look make it depressing… Amazing food! I love the place but inside they need to make it like pre-pandemic. Tables and chairs stocked up by the wall is sort of depressing. Also you enter the side door is weird. The patio is really really weird it looks like chicken hatchery. But this look doesn’t bother me as much. We got compensated with the kindness of the waitress and the great food! The coconut rice is awesome and the mango tofu was delicious. We tried the luche sake. They also asked us if we have food allergies which is nice that they care!

Google
Outstanding! Tea Leaf Salad is definitely recommend. Will go there again and again, especially when they get their liquor license. Nicely decorated and very good service. Went there for lunch and prices are reasonable. You can get the spiciness set to your tolerance on each dish. Easy parking, but you will need to U-turn if coming from North on Contra Costa Blvd. Update: this place is still tops. If you've never done Burmese food, then please give this place a try. They got a full bar and the drinks are top notch. Looks like they also book out for parties, as the place is well decorated. Enjoy.

Google
This review is long overdue! We have been eaten here since it opened and their foods are all delicious!!! Lately I have tired out Burma II in Walnut Creek and it was good! However, if you are tired of expensive parking, crowds and wait time at Burma II. This place offered as amazing and maybe better experienced. Parking is easy and it may not be in a fancy Walnut Creek, I guaranteed, you won't be disappointed. I just feel the need to give them great review for how amazing their food and service is. We had takeouts during CoVid and the food quality remains constantly great! I personally loved their Chicken Bryani and Rainbow Salad more than Burma II. Service is also great here as well.

Google
I've never eaten Burmese cuisine before but my friend was insistent that we eat here so we did. She has celiac disease and has to stay away from gluten. They have tons of choices for her and they call it out all the gluten free choices on their menu which she loves. I had the shrimp blanket appetizer and the garlic noodles with shrimp. Both were delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
The first time I tried this place was through Doordash, but I don't remember what I had lol I just know it was tasty! This time we dined in. The staff was very welcoming, interior was large and can accommodate almost any sized party. Parking lot is kind of small though. Here's what we ordered: Burmese Chicken Wings ($10) -- great flavor on the wings mixed with peppers and onions. We really liked these! Mango Lassi ($5) -- seems like they just poured a bottled one into a cup. Can't complain lol Burmese Crispy Pork Belly ($10) -- I wish the portion on this was a little bit bigger, but this was such a unique and tasty appetizer! Comes with a yummy dipping sauce. Fiery Chicken ($15) -- we ordered the spicy and the spice level was really nice. Comes mixed with veggies. Beef Curry ($17) -- This was my favorite dish! Chunky beef cubes and potatoes in a delicious curry sauce. I got a side of coconut rice to put this over and it was the perfect pair!! Definitely recommend! BBQ Pork Fried Rice ($13) -- The presentation on this dish is quite nice compared to your typical fried rice. It's exactly what you would expect it to taste like and we really enjoyed it. Shrimp Eggplant ($18) -- this dish was also really good, but I do wish it came with more shrimp especially for the price. Overall, our whole dining experience was really nice. We all enjoyed the food and I don't regret getting any of the dishes we ordered. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Everything was so good!! We especially loved the red chicken curry and tea leaf salad Nasi lemak is always something I like to order at Burmese restaurant, and it was nice and light. The staff was very attentive and kind. Would recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Yelp
I cannot believe I haven't written a review for this restaurant! It's easily one of our favorite restaurants in the area! We usually like to try new restaurants, but we've been to this restaurant a ton of times and we've brought out-of-town friends here to try it too! Everyone has loved it. I absolutely adore their Samosas Soup which is a tangy tamarind soup! It has cabbage, onions, falafel, potatoes, and samosa in it, so it's chock full of deliciousness! Every bite is a little different and the sour tang from tamarind is divine! Usually, this dish is 10/10, but the last time we went, there wasn't enough tamarind. I'm going to assume that it was a one-off thing! It better be tangy next time like usual :) This dish is a must-order and I think about this soup regularly! I've tried it at two other Burmese restaurants and it hasn't been anywhere near as good as here! Everything we've ordered has been great. We usually order the Samosas Soup and something new varying from curries to beef dishes among other items when we go, and we've never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and service is prompt. They have outdoor dining as well plus their own private parking lot. We've ordered food to go from here plenty of time during the pandemic as well, and they always were super courteous with everything packaged up really well too! Truly a 5-star restaurant! We love this place!

Yelp
I prefer this location over the Todos Santos location. We had the palatha, the golden noodle salad and the tofu tower. The palatha was great, as usual. The golden noodle salad was a nice change. The tofu tower was amazing. Deep fried tofu with lots of veggies in a nice sauce. Overall, another great meal.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Tasty Burmese food, great service, nice ambiance, large round tables as well as smaller tables for couples and groups of 4.

Amy M.

Yelp
Overall, pleasant experience. The inside is very nicely decorated and spacious making for a comfortable meal. I have been to the Aung Maylika in Benicia and have the opportunity to slightly compare the locations. I will say the flavor transfers over for the most part but obviously it won't be exactly the same. I get the rainbow salad pretty often and typically they separate all the portions of the salad making for more adjustability but they mixed it when i went for dine in. Spicy noodles- Pretty good! I can say it tastes similar to the other location but maybe a little less flavorful. Still good otherwise Burmese style chicken biryani- i was pleasantly surprised, the chicken portion is quite generous and the meat is nice and tender. Flavor was great too Fiery Beef- i really wanted to like this one but it personally wasn't for me. The flavor was lacking and the portion was small and for that price point i definitely would not order again Rainbow salad- classic and popular dish but just wished they separated out the ingredients otherwise pretty good still The service was pretty good they checked in throughout the meal and were very nice and friendly. You have to really navigate through the dishes to find which flavors best suit you because there are lots of different choices to choose from but i think regardless you will find yourself having a pretty pleasant experience nonetheless!

Yelp
Food is yummy! Drinks are strong. Service was pleasant. Parking may be difficult if the restaurant is busy. But I didn't have a problem at 6pm on a Wednesday. Shrimp and eggplant is super good. The mango chicken was good, a little more mango-y than I expected. I envisioned slices of mango sautéed in but it was more mango puréed in, if that makes sense. But I still finished all the leftovers lol I forgot the fish dish, I'm sorry but it was good too! Enjoy!

Angie L.

Yelp
We have been DoorDash-ing from this restaurant forever.. and only recently we started going into the restaurant since we cancelled our DoorDash Pass. We haven't had anything that's not good. Service is fast and friendly. Food is yummy. They've got a full bar and serves yummy cocktails. We were here last night and honestly were surprised it's not more crowded for a Saturday night. Maybe because of the location that not too many people know this restaurant is here? It's such a cozy little neighborhood restaurant and right now they are playing Christmas music to the you but the mood for the holidays

Yelp
This was pretty much inedible, but the things we did eat gave us gastrointestinal... distress. The dishes came out extremely quickly - too quick, as if they had been microwaved. But a pre-made microwave dinner would have tasted better. This restaurant tarnishes the reputation of Burmese food.

Sara P.

Yelp
Located in a busy downtown area, there is a lot of parking and also a garage. Came in on a Friday night and we're seated right away. Waiters were friendly. Fiery beef - not as flavorful/spicy we hoped it would be and was lacking flavor, a bit bland but good meat:veggie ratio 2/5 Garlic noodles - the noodles themselves were still chewy and had good texture but really lacked any garlic flavor and flavor in general 1/5 Masala Lamb shank - meat was really tender and very strong masala taste. A little salty but flavorful 4/5 Palatha with curry dip - the only thing that was really good but the roti itself, though crispy and tasty, was pretty oily. The curry dip was super good and flavorful 4/5 Steamed ginger fish - the fish was super soft, almost questioned if it was fully cooked. The flavor of the fish was lacking and needed to douse in the sauce to taste anything at all 2/5 Overall, i would could back. The staff was welcoming, very spacious and bright lighting. The food wasn't the best but may just need to try other things.

Yelp
I grew up with homemade Burmese food since my parents are from Burma, so I tend to be more critical of Burmese food at restaurants. Came here for lunch with a few friends on a Sunday. We got there right when they opened, so we got seated right away. We each got a dish for ourselves, so I only got to try the garlic noodles I ordered. The other dishes looked good too though. The noodles were good, but I prefer a firmer texture for the noodles, and more garlicky. The wait staff was attentive. Since we were the only ones there, it was quiet, and my friends and I were able to converse comfortably. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend this place.

Dunia M.

Yelp
Our go to local restaurant! The food is amazing. Feels like price increased a bit recently main dish is now $17.99 each but the food tastes great. We usually take to go

Michele O.

Yelp
I love Burmese food and was really happy to see there's a place fairly close to us! We ordered takeout and the food was ready pretty quickly. There were a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu which is always appreciated. Portion sizes were great too! Tea leaf salad - 1000/10 I'm a sucker for a good tea leaf salad and theirs does not disappoint at all. They gave me a choice of lettuce, cabbage, or a combination of the 2 and I went for the cabbage. I think that's the right choice. Mint jalapeño chicken - 8/10 Great portion sizes and great flavor. Ordered it medium spicy and it wasn't spicy in any way, shape, or form. Next time we'll try hot or extreme hot and see how that is. Fiery tofu - 7/10 The tofu was cooked really well and the flavor was good, but it was maybe mildly spicy at best. The dish was advertised as being spicy and we ordered the "extreme hot" level to guarantee the heat, but it wasn't really there. I readily admit my spice tolerance is higher than most, so maybe their spice ratings are calibrated differently than mine are. Cucumber minted lemonade - 20/10 My husband ordered this and I didn't. Immediate regret. We probably could have drank a gallon of this. Super refreshing and not too sweet! Overall a really solid local spot for authentic Burmese cooking!

Heather M.

Yelp
One of our absolute most favorite places to go... we always say after- "why don't we come here more often!" Aung Maylika had the best Burmese food. I started with a lychee martini made the way i like- not too sweet! We also had the mango lassi (surprisingly light) and the honey mint tea. We started with the samosas- always light, crisp, and so flavorful. The chicken curry palatha is my daughters' favorite. We had the tea leaf salad, the garlic eggplant, garlic noodles with shrimp, and the burmese chicken. Everything is so flavorful! Service was very fast (almost too fast- might have liked dishes spaced a bit more). Dessert was the jackfruit lumpia with green tea ice cream. We love them for take-out too! It is a must try!!!

Rainbow W.

Yelp
Divinity every single dish. Palata, chicken noodle soup, samosas, tea leaf salads are a must. Would come back again and again.

Alex T.

Yelp
If you're craving Burmese food in the Walnut Creek/Concord area, look no further. They do simple Burmese dishes that taste like home. Growing up in Burma, tea leaf salads & chicken curries were everyday staples and the food here brings back core memories. Food was a way to connect with your community, make new friends back home and us Burmese people (like many other ethnicities ) use food as a love language to one another. We haven't taken a pic because we've been way too hungry every time we get food from here but next time, I promise I'll take a pic or two.

Emily F.

Yelp
Tucked away off Contra Costa Blvd, this is a great Burmese restaurant. The Tea Salad was delicious, the Maylika shrimp, amazing and so different from any other cuisine that we have tried before. Coconut rice was a great accompaniment and their medium "hot" is not too hot so ask for spicy if you like your Burmese hotter. great flavors throughout the meal. Thoughtful staff, and a fun cocktail menu. nice atmosphere and good lighting, not too bright and several options for seating. we will definitely be back to try other menu specials.

James R.

Yelp
Came here with my work team for dinner. We had one vegan in our party and this place was very able to accommodate. The restaurant was pretty big and the night we came in, it was pretty low key. The menu had a lot of options and you can tweak the spice level for anything. We ended up getting the palatha, the Burmese style chicken biryani, the maylika beef, the fiery shrimp, and some coconut rice. I loved all of it. All of it was great. The heat from the fiery shrimp was awesome. Not for those who can't stand the heat. Overall, this was a great meal and I would certainly return.

Sonja M.

Yelp
Do not order pickup. Portions are small. The sea bass was very small. Hardly enough for one. Filled with bones too.Sea bass was Definitely not worth $30.00

john j.

Yelp
Another amazing meal with family and friends. We loved the salt and pepper tofu and the samosas. Everything else was equally delicious.

Steven S.

Yelp
Food is excellent. Tea leaf salad is tasty but could be bigger with more lettuce and cabbage. Wings and lemongrass pork are excellent. We always take out or have delivered, so hard to comment on dining in. Whatever we've gotten though is wonderful.

Thuy Dan T.

Yelp
It's not too often I try Burmese food and now I want to go on a mission and find it everywhere. It's so flavorful and at Aung Maylika, very well cooked. We ordered delivery and still everything tasted fresh. Spices and ingredients are a mix of what I usually see at Thai and Indian restaurants. Coconut chicken noodle - broth was very flavorful with thin noodles and the chicken, although large pieces was very tender. Other great dish was the mint chicken! Spice level is on point too for spicy lovers out there. Coconut rice was a game changer. Sweet like coconut but the rice was still fluffy - paired so much with the protein entrees. Catfish stew had a very delicious broth but sadly no catfish (might have been an error), will get again when I dine in person. Overall I was very impressed by this spot and looking forward to eating Aung Maylika when I'm in the area!

Corey D.

Yelp
Love this place and no line like so many Burmese places with too much hype. Food and service is always on point. Spicy noodles is like a pad Thai super upgrade. Minted chicken is tasty. The lamb and pork dishes are bomb ! Rainbow salad/noodles always goes hard! I park at the furniture store in the back if you're coming west on sun valley. Much easier to get in and out of after hours.

Kim O.

Yelp
The best Burmese food in the East Bay! I have tried so many unique dishes here that have now become my favorite dishes! I absolutely love the Honey Chicken Wings; they have a good crunch with a spicy & sweet flavor. The Vegetarian Samosas with potatoes and peas are a great appetizer; I love the dipping sauce that comes with. The Crab Fried Rice and the Coconut Chicken Noodle Soup are also great options. Another favorite of mine is the Chicken Lettuce Wraps!

Elizabeth V.

Yelp
This place is great for Burmese food if you are in the Concord area. The dining area is spacious and they have a full bar as well. I've probably had everything on the menu now as I've been there a few times and have also ordered takeout from them. Happy hour is a great deal too! My favorites are the tea leaf salad (must get!!) and the catfish chowder as well as spicy noodles. But honestly everything on the menu is so flavorful with good portions and very affordable. Apps - palatha with any of the dipping sauces is so yummy Noodles - garlic noodles (different than other garlic noodles as is made with flat noodles); spicy noodles is delish and preferred (tastes like a pad thai but 10x better?!) Entrees - chicken biryani is classic; MayLika's shrimp or any meat is super good, shrimp or Swai red curry is a must also. Any specials they have with whole fish you have to order too! We had cat fish one night and it was so tasty and cooked well Veggies - string beans and pea shoots are even better than what I get at the Chinese noodle restaurants! Definitely one of my local staples and the best Burmese food in the very east bay :)

Vy P.

Yelp
My go to Asian food in the area . I eat here probably 2 a week . Love all their dishes from rainbow salad to shrimp dish. Great service and good price .

Dipali S.

Yelp
This hole in the wall Burmese restaurant provided a relaxed environment to enjoy our tasty meal! The service was great from start to finish and the pricing beats nearby businesses easily. We'll definitely be back to try more!

Joey N.

Yelp
Came here for a quick dinner and we didn't have to wait at all. Ordered Vegetarian Samosa, Burmese style Chicken Biryani and Honey Walnut Shrimp. Their Honey Walnut Shrimp is definitely my favorite of the meal, not too sweet and paired perfectly with walnut. The Burmese style Chicken Biryani was huge, not too much sauce as I expected but chicken was so tender. Samosa is my bf's favorite and we order it almost anytime we go to a Burmese or Indian place. Crispy and super loaded, good with the spicy sauce.

Wenjie C.

Yelp
Great food!! I had the Chicken Biryani and sesame chicken. The chicken from the chicken biryani is bone falling tender and I finished every last bite with some rice. The sesame chicken couldn't be any worse. There's a little crisp and the chicken was still juicy!

Ida J.

Yelp
My favorite Burmese restaurant in this area! Pictured: chicken biryani, tea leaf salad, Maylika's swai, mango lassi and Burmese milk tea. Photos are from the first time I ate/got takeout from here. I hadn't had much experience with Burmese food and didn't know what to expect. I was never a salad person (ugh, raw cabbage?) until this tea leaf salad. I was and still am in love, the texture is complex and fun, and the fermented leaves accentuate the ingredients and the combination of their original flavors. For a first timer, Burmese cuisine shares elements of south Asian and southeast Asian cuisine (hence the biryani and lassi). Indian biryani typically runs dry, Burmese biryani is saucier. Indian lassi typically runs thick, Burmese lassi is thinner. Now that I've eaten here many times, I also recommend the minted chicken (extreme, if you can handle).

VJ M.

Yelp
Food is tasty and the service is always very good (the last three times I tried). My most favorite dish is the dessert, black sticky rice with green tea icecream.

Frederick M.

Yelp
The food is good and the customer service is good. It is pretty inside the restaurant. I came here originally for my birthday back in November 2022. I am glad the restaurant is still around. It is sad to see a car hit their sign. I hope it can be fixed soon.

Peter N.

Yelp
This review has been way overdue for a long time! Since the restaurant first opened, we have been coming here for meals, their foods are all delicious!!! We do not typically dine in here, always order for to-go. It is quite difficult to get parking at this location and because it is located right at the corner of two major intersections (Taylors Blvd and Contra Costa Boulevard). If you miss the ramp, then you will have to travel all the way around in order to make the U-turn. Really delicious to the fullest! A person who has never had Burmese food before will find that it is rather excellent, and there is a nice variety of dishes from which to choose. It is nice that you can choose the level of spiciness, from mild to intense. We tried the coconut swai and the coconut rice, and both of them were fantastic, particularly for people who have a craving for sweet food. However, it is not at all too sweet at all. We also had the whole fish, which was super savory. Even for orders to go, the service is lightning quick. Even during dinner time, it took roughly 15 minutes to complete. However, you can save time by calling ahead. Highly recommended!

Liann A.

Yelp
Burmese food- tea leaf salad! Aung Maylika has 3 locations, one in Concord and 2 in Benicia. I've been to all 3 and when I work in Concord I usually order from here. I love their Tea Leaf salad. So much flavor and textures. I love the roasted garlic, for those that have a peanut allergy there's usually peanuts. And would I love about this place is that it's so much cheaper than Burma Superstar around the bay. Other honorable mentions are their samosas, golden noodle, and appetizers. We went after work for 5 of us and we ordered a ton of dishes-- honey walnut prawns, tofu, chicken and they were all good but you have to try the Tea Leaf Salad. They offer outdoor seating and getting to their parking lot is tricky off of willow pass road. My gps took me through a residential area to get into their parking lot. I tried going in through sleep train which is located on the other side of the parking lot but it's prohibited. They have 2 single stalled bathrooms. I'm glad this restaurant is still in business.

Victor G.

Yelp
Aung Maylika has a big menu of Burmese classics. the eatery inside looks small. just take out and outside patio dining. quick, courteous service. eats: Tea Leaf Salad (12.99) -mixture of lettuce, nuts, grains, with fermented tea leaves. -was asked if i had any allergy. no aversion to peanuts.. -got a big portion of fermented leaves. wasn't as pungent as i wanted. still good. there was some unexpectedly hard crunchiness. (either something fried or the peanuts). after mixing the ingredients. eat slowly with caution. the parking lot is small.

Julie H.

Yelp
We love this restaurant. The dishes are beautifully prepared with unique flavors. Prices are reasonable and their take-out service is efficient. It's one of our favorite neighborhood haunts!

Koorosh D.

Yelp
Amazing. Absolutely no complaints. Prices were fair and portions were perfect. We ordered the lemon grass tofu and a side of garlic noodles and it came to be the perfect size for two people. The staff asks what level of spice you want, we went with medium which could be thought of like using extra seasoning "hot" but not adding red chiles "hot." Perfect for us, but I will try it next time a bit hotter. The restaurant was well decorated, well lit, and table service provided a glass jug of water to portion for yourself. A great experience with amazing food with no faults

Nicole V.

Yelp
OMG! I wish I could have moved Aung Maylika to Vegas with me. I miss this place every day.

Amanda F.

Yelp
I just finished eating here, and I CANNOT WAIT until I'm hungry again so I can eat here again. I'm not kidding. The palatha with coconut curry dip was like, food from heaven. If I get to heaven, this better be on the menu. I also tried the chicken kebat (GET THIS DISH) and the coconut swai (SO YUMMY!) and I'll say it again - I can't wait to come back for more!

Shannon L.

Yelp
I love Burmese food! You can purchase fermented green tea dressing to go which I find very exciting. It's never crowded but it's a bit of a difficult driveway location on a busy corner strip mall. Service is attentive. They proactively inquire for allergies. The mango lassie and teas are good.

Zack M.

Yelp
Best wings I've ever had, or just the wings I love the most-doesn't matter??!! A spectrum of nuanced spices in every dish. Great and accessible wine and beer list! Skyfall merlot is a good pair; balanced, but still smoky and 'porty' and pairs well with the general spice profile of many dishes. Special off menu item was a delicious butter noodle with crab which was good, but a bit oily. Fried rice has fresh cilantro cucumber fried and fresh onions...flavors are presented as fats, salts, umami (fish sauce), sweets, sours and way beyond. You will be hard-pressed to hold your favorite famous Bay Area Burmeese restaurant up to this place's delicious offerings. Noodles could stand to be a little more Al dente (more chew), but overall absolutely one of my favorite restaurants!

Joanna S.

Yelp
This place is a star! My favorite Burmese place in contra costa county. We catered for a party of 15 and got their tea leaf salad, salt and pepper shrimp, garlic noodles, fried wings and it did not disappoint. Our guests finished everything. Eating at the restaurant my favorite dish is definitely the wings - they are on another level of crispy and tasty. Prices are reasonable and service is great. Highly recommend!

Laura E.

Yelp
I have yet to go to the actual location but I've enjoyed Aung Maylika several times from reps at work! I've had their tea leaf salad, garlic noodles, a shrimp dish (either the Maylika's shrimp or honey walnut prawns), and string beans. I may have had other dishes that I can't remember offhand. Everything I've had is excellent. I look forward to trying more of their dishes, especially the Burmese style papaya salads, mango dishes (shrimp, Swai, and tofu), and pumpkin dishes (pumpkin curry, shrimp, and salmon).

Mr. B.

Yelp
Amazing place! Here is why: - Delicious food with big portions, and many foods can be made vegan. - Friendly and quick service with honest advice on menu recommendations. (Our server was the helpful Arlene -- thanks!) - Plenty of indoor dining space with nice little details. Although Concord is not the center of Bay Area, a ride here is worth the time.

Sophia W.

Yelp
A diamond in the ruff! I was not expecting this place to be so good. I've passed by this place many times, but finally tried it and glad I did. My partner and I got the tea leaf salad, flery shrimp, garlic noodles and coconut rice. Good portion size for the two of us - not too little, not too much - just the right amount. We ordered through Yelp, which was easy and the food was ready within the estimated time frame. Definitely recommend if you're in Pleasant Hill/Concord area.

Steve L.

Yelp
Have been wanting to try this place for some time and I was excited to eat the food. When outdoor dining was open the patio was always full. The interior decor from what I saw looked nice when I went in for my pickup order. The help was nice and quick. The food was ready when they said it would be, and everything was nice and warm when I brought it home! The soup was delicious, the chicken Briyani was enjoyable, the garlic broccoli was tasty and the samosas were amazing! The shrimp fried rice was decent, I'd pass on that next time. Will certainly come back when I can eat outside or inside with some pals.

Leah D.

Yelp
We came here for Mother's Day. We had a reservation, but still had to wait for a table, but it probably helped us because half of our group needed to find parking. The parking lot is a bit small for this location, but probably serves them on a regular day. Once seated, service was fast and friendly. This was my first taste of this style cuisine and it was pleasantly wonderful. Now I'm looking for a spot in Sac that can quench these same flavors and spices. I may just need to return and enjoy again.

Sonila S.

Yelp
Called this place and placed an order via phone. I normally go to Burma in Wanut creek but wanted to try this place out as food is same thing. I got the mango chicken, coconut rice, samosas and cucumber mint lemonade drink. The food prepared in literally 5 minutes which was surprising to me. The drink is super delicious! The rice was tooo soft and the mango chicken was okay. I prefer Burma in WC but this wasn't bad.

Yelp
The food was EXCEPTIONAL! This was our first time at this restaurant, and the food was incredible! We had the vegetable eggplant dish. It is probably the best eggplant dish I have had in North America! We also had the Mango Swai and the spicy orange colored rice. You are missing out if you do not eat here.

Yelp
Didn't have dinner tonight with any intention of writing a review but the food and service were so good I was motivated to share this. Checked every box --- service, quality, spices, ample portions. Authentic flavors, as good as any food I tasted in Yangon - yes, I've been there. Easy parking. Looked like they can handle a nice sixed group. I'll be back. Big thumbs up.
