Why Food and Fashion Are Colliding Now More Than Ever | Eater

"A mall pretzel brand that has embraced whimsical merchandising, collaborating with designers and artists on pretzel-inspired T-shirts, a pretzel-adorned fanny pack, and even a novelty pretzel shower curtain as part of anniversary-themed releases." - Matthew Sedacca

Date of Visit: 07/27/2025 around 1pm - Workers acted inconvenienced that we showed up to order one pretzel and one drink. Pretzel was mid, frozen lemonade was great!

They are very friendly staff. They let me take a photo of them working, but I had to do it. They were so nice and kind to me that they deserved more than a compliment. Good food and drinks, clean place, good customer service , what more can I ask for ? You don't find this in any Auntie Anne"s. Good job, girls!!

Google
How was my pretzel burnt yet completely raw dough at the same time. Super disappointing, but luckily I have come to auntie Annie’s my whole life and this is my first time ever receiving such a nasty pretzel.

Google
These pretzels / pretzel bites used to be so good a decade ago but the quality has gone down and portions smaller while the price has gone up. Not a recipe for success and a good customer experience. Don't see myself coming back.

Google
it's national pretzel day for a free pretzel. so i order and it had issues scanning. the lady turned back around and asked me if i scanned and i said it wouldn't. tried again and it did, then she said "there". i said thank you and she responded with "yup". super rude, no manners.

They don’t wanna work. they stop selling pretzels at 7 and there’s no one even to help after that when they close at 8.

Google
Horrible service. Should also be wearing a mask when they're preparing food. Look at some of the recent reviews. They need to hire people that actually want/care about a job.

Google
Actually the worst pretzels I’ve ever had and a terrible customer experience. Pretzel bites and cheese cost over $9, that’s the same price as a chipotle burrito. Bites were tough and hard to chew, tasted old, seemed like they were just frozen and heated up, and worst of all were burnt on the bottom. I’m not surprised as the crew of young folks working there seemed like they couldn’t care less about their job. The cashier didn’t look at me the entire time, didn’t say thank you, and when I said thanks she didn’t acknowledge and actually just kept chatting with her coworkers. Also the cup I got the pretzels in was super greasy on the outside. What a terrible place and experience.

Yelp
Decided to order a pretzel while out shopping yesterday since there was nobody in line which is rare. The worker made me wait 3-4 minutes while she packaged up pretzel nuggets and carried them over to the warming light. Finally I can place an order. No hello, no smile, nothing but a bored face. I ordered a pretzel, cheese and a coke. the order was fine but the most bored un-enthused worker ever. You're welcome mam for my business. Hope you have a great day. or at least better then you are evidentially having since you are so bored. Sorry to make you break a sweat fulfilling my order. Seriously this is how I felt.

Yelp
Customer service awful! No greeting no thank you just a stone cold face of I don't want to be here. Sign said no bills larger than $20. I ordered pretzel nuggets they would only offer a large even though menus had a regular/small. I paid for it with a $10, and the guy takes my money and says we don't have change. Puzzled I said what? He says no change and walks away, I called him back and I asked for my money back and asked to pay with a card. Well did I get attitude! Giving it a 2 star because the food was hot and fresh.

Yelp
I wanted a pretzel dog. The worker gave me pretzel bites which are twice as expensive. Did not inform me that they no longer serve pretzel dog even though it's on the menu. When I said this is not what I ordered she said call corporate

Yelp
Please tell me why this is the worst Auntie Anne's I have ever been to. Although this pretzel chain is overpriced, I excuse it with how tasty and buttery these mf pretzels are. Why are these pretzels the driest and crunchiest pretzels I have had from this establishment. Maybe I would of excused it if there was decent customer service, but this place even lacked that.

Yelp
I went there and the server was extremely rude she was slamming our items on the counter. She was spilling some of our drinks and had a really bad attitude. Her name is Amya L and the manager really needs to let her go.

Yelp
the cashier was very rude. i saw this man plying on his phone while making our food with the same gloves

Yelp
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. I've truly never wrote a review for anything but here goes: I stopped at Auntie Anne's Rosedale for a drink. I noticed both the gals working didn't have their masks on correctly and their noses were exposed. I asked them to please fix their masks and both didn't. They said they couldn't breathe. I politely said I'm a nurse, I know how it goes. Tried to reason with them and to please put their masks on. One girl asked in a RUDE tone "Are you gunna order?" I asked for a manger and explained the situation to him. He said "Yea I know I gotta work on that." I walked away dumbfounded. As I walked away a woman stopped me and asked if I had complained. She said she watched one of the employees eat a snack without gloves at the counter where she was rolling dough. She didn't wash her hands after the snack or sanitize the work station and put gloves back on and continued to salt pretzels. The woman said she saw this after her kids ate the pretzels and hope they won't get sick. She and I both went up to the counter to speak to the manager again. He blatantly attempted to ignore us until I said "We need to talk to you" and the woman explained the snack situation with no hand washing. He said "Yea I know, I know" and walked away from us. I went to Rosedale guest services to air my grievances about the poor customer service and health code violations. The gal had me fill out a comment card so I did. On my way out I walked by and the same employees were still wearing their masks down their face! I went back to guest services and they sent security to tell them what's up. I went there too because I wanted to make sure there was some sort of resolution. The sercurity people talked to the employees. They told me the employees were told by a MANAGER that it's ok for them to wear their masks like that so they could breathe. I asked to speak to a manger about what the name of the supervising individual was I was told "She's not here." Didn't let that fly and insisted to talk to a supervisor. A female was on the phone and rudely yelled "I'm in charge...what's up?" in the most unprofessional way I've ever been 'talked' to. I said this is so wrong-that there is governor issued mask ordinance and something needs to be done. So then the head of security comes and tells me to file a report with MN health dept and Ramsey county. Which I'll do. I would like to also state during this entire exchange there was absolutely no apologies or acknowledgement of any wrong doing. So sad how some people just don't give a you know what about themselves or others! I've been on the front line of this pandemic and I'll be dammed if you don't wear your mask correctly in public spaces while in the middle of a raging pandemic and you work in FOODSERVICE. Auntie Anne's lost a customer FOR LIFE. Can't stop telling everyone I know not to go there! I pray no one gets infected because their employees are too selfish to follow protocols.

Yelp
No curbside pick-up as posted. Calling goes directly to fax and tried again a different day in case it was a fluke, but no, phone goes directly to fax. Employees not wearing hair nets. Nothing like finding a long black hair in your pretzels. Find another business to support instead.

Yelp
We love Auntie Anne's Pretzels. But this location I is horrible!!! First off the tell us they are out of pretzels. And we have to wait 20 minutes for them to rise. Then after waiting in a long line for the second time to get a pretzel. The credit card machine didn't take my card. AND when I asked the girl if I could run and grab cash from my daughter ten feet away. She told me she had other people to wait on. So I left the line to grab the cash. Waited in line a third time. And while paying for the pretzel. The girl picks up her phone and looks at it. Cell phones have more germs the a toilet seat. And when I said something to her she got all mad. And said fine I will wash my hands in a very rude way. Customers do not want to see employees handling their cell phones while working with food or

Yelp
Not a full menu but the highlights of your basic overpriced pretzel chain: plain pretzel, pretzel and hotdog bites, wrapped hotdog pretzel, side of cheese, ICEEs, pop.

Yelp
Visited this location on Thurs 4/26 at 12:30pm. The woman working there had her mask below her nose, while all the customers still wore their masks properly. There are around 7-8 people waiting for food. Nothing except 2 containers of cinnamon pretzel bites in the case. I try to order but she tells me it will be a 20 minute wait and I need to get back to my job, so I just get what's in the case. That was a mistake. My drink was disgusting - the syrup was out and hadn't been changed. The pretzel bites were hard and stale. I threw everything away. I don't have an abundance of money so to waste $10 on completely inedible food was so frustrating. This women must be paid $0.50 an hour because she truly could not care less about her job or customers' health. She needs to be fired.

Yelp
We love the pretzel bites, but hate the hassle. It seems Auntie Anne's in Rosedale has a difficult time keeping predictable business hours. Today for example, it's 11:30 and store is dark. All the other stores in the mall are able to keep consistent business hours, why is it so difficult for Auntie Anne's ? My other issue is that they are consistently out of product. It doesn't matter if they are busy or slow.

Yelp
Whoever the female employee is that is working right now has been screaming across the hall to the women working at the restaurant across from her for the last 20 minutes. This wouldn't be an issue at all except for that the conversation is not presentable for the customers. Everything from how boring the job is so she plays on her phone all day to how inconvenient it was to provide a customer with a refund for a hard pretzel. Tacky tacky tacky.

Yelp
Carlos and Prieann refused to give me water. We had just purchased several items from them. They were rude and unprofessional. I feel bad for people like them. Pathetic! Really!! Disrespectful!

Yelp
So I went to auntie Annie's as I was craving a good pretzel and when I arrived I asked my cashier Sarah of the pretzel have been sitting there her response was nope these ones are fresh! These were the most disgusting pretzels I've ever had not fresh at all and really upset I spent 5$ to fix a craving I could've fixed and been satisfied with anywhere else in the mall...rawr this is why I like wet eLS pretzels better they never disappoint and make me fresh ones at request and even if they're not fresh they don't lie!

Yelp
My son and I went "back to school" shopping today at Rosedale mall and ended our day at Auntie Anne's Pretzels. BOY, WAS THAT A MISTAKE. The somali gal that took our order was really nice but got our order wrong 2X. After paying, she asked us to step aside and the cinnamon pretzels would be out shortly. After 20 mins of waiting, two employees returned from their break and shortly after the somali gal walked out as she was leaving for her break or for the day. She walked passed us and asked if we were still waiting. I responded, "Yes, I am.". Instead of returning back inside to get the pretzels herself she asked for us to return to the counter and ask for help. I stepped up to the counter and asked the heavy african american lady with the fake looking ombre wig (I wished I would've gotten her name so I can post it here) for help. She totally ignorant me and called for the next customer in line. After helping three customers, she finally turned my way and rolled her eyes (I guess that's her definition of good customer service) , but still did not asked if she could help me. I blurred out I was still waiting for my pretzels and have been waiting 10+ minutes. Now, instead of apologizing for the wait and offering to check what was the hold up, she automatically starting barking at me raising her voice and made it clear how she just return from break and so on. She rolled her eyes once more and turn back to the line and asked to help the next customer. After two customers, she glanced back at me and mumbled, "They'll be out with your pretzels." Moments later, the younger gal from the back brought one pretzel up and I kindly stated I ordered two. The heavy african american lady with the fake wig screamed at me stating how bad my attitude was and how I needed to lost my attitude (If my attitude was bad then I guess her was splendid ). Instead of apologizing, she shouted, "DO YOU WANT A REFUND?? DO YOU WANT A REFUND??". She acted as if I was at fault and was the one giving her poor customer services. I then asked if they keep track of their orders and why they wouldn't have a clue as to what I ordered. She just continue screaming at me making a foo out of herself. Keep in mind, the whole time she was screaming at me, she was in the middle of taking another customer's order. Some lady from the back came up and asked what was going on. The heavy lady with the fake wig turned around and shouted, "YEAH, SHE SAID SHE BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME FOR HER PRETZELS.". She then mumbled something smart to the staff (they all thought it was funny and all laughed) and turned back to the customer in front of her. Now I wasn't sure if the lady that came up to the front was the manager or supervisor but she was really unprofessional herself. After 30mins of unnecessary wait time, the younger gal brought the second pretzel up and we finally left. My son is a really big fan of Auntie Ann's pretzels and we always make sure we stop to get pretzels when we are at Rosedale Mall but I guess this would be our last time going to this location. The staff was rude and good customer services does not exist in their world. WHAT A DAMN SHAME!! :(

Yelp
So, our day began as any other day does. I woke up, and showered. My wife and I planned a super awesome elaborate day, but it started to rain. So, we decided to move our super awesome day to the mall. Goal: GD PRETZELS! Specifically PRETZEL DOGS. Auntie Anne's located. It's closed. Day RUINED. THE WIND HAS BEEN VACUUMED FROM MY SAILS.

Yelp
If I could give 0 star I would like to do it. Auntie Anne's Pretzels t Roseville Mail is one of my favoried fast food, I always stop and buy some pretzels when I shop there.HOWERVER, I WILL NEVER BE BACK THERE ANYMORE. I was waist of my time when waiting almost 15' on the line and then getting back were bad (very very bad, super bad) customer service and 2 bitter pretzel dogs (because these pretzels Looks and tastes burnt). The customer service is so terrible. AWFUL! There were 4 workers working in the store. They acknowledged my present when I had to linger at the counter for awhile before someone took my order. They were talking about their story, and acknowledged me. The girl who took my order so rude to me, no appoly at all. And her voice when she asked me so rude. I was very mad about her service. NEVER GOING BACK AND SUGGESTING NO ONE EVER GO HERE.

Yelp
While my wife is in the Rosedale Mall shopping. .I like stopping by Auntie Anne's Pretzels, the service is nice and the pretzels are delicious!
