Everything here is so very good, I love it. Make sure you wait for the plantains, it’s worth every second.

Aunty Muni’s Waakye is by far one of the best Waakye joints in Accra! I highly recommend it. A dessert shop (Nectar Desserts) has also recently opened right next to her. Their iced teas are great!

The waakye tasted really nice and sweet. We had plantain 5, waakye 10, spaghetti 5, 2 beef 20, 2 wele 10, shitto with the takeout pack.. paid 53... They had fish and other items. They accept only cash so take your cash. Food was a bit too oily for me but the waakye tasted sweet. Slept after the meal it was quite a lot. I would recommend to anyone that likes waakye or a first timer. They have seats if u want to stay and have your meal. The Service was okay and the line moved quite fast.. we got there around 10am.

Frankly I visited there for the first time this 20th May 2023.Coming from the North I was baffled about the standard of waakye Aunty Muni sells. It reminds me of waakye in the late 80's.Very tasty. I shall visit again when I go to Accra. Big ups to Hajia for such an impeccable standards

Food has really changed. I had not patronized it for a few years. A serving of rice is 10cedis. Small piece of beef goes for 10cedis and fish which l wanted was too expensive 40cedis. Fish was just one size and so you either paid 40cedis if you wanted it or forgo it. I also hadly got any stew with my food even though l asked for some. Food was very oily and pepper hot. Tasted somewhat good though but every bite was just so hot. Unfortunately everyone who ate the food had an upset tummy and needed to use the bathroom a few times from that evening into the next day. Not sure l will buy again. Not that good anymore.

Food is great. But the question of why this particular “Waakye” is so popular is left for you to answer. Why? There are many other waakye joints with similar taste of food (very good) Maybe it’s the location - Cantonments. It might have attracted the affluent who live in that area. So what is “Kojo” from Kasoa doing at Auntie Muni Waakye? Peer pressure? Or the food is actually good 😊 Also there’s a large car park and sitting area Peaceful environment to enjoy your morning waakye with people who “just finished a 2 km jog” 🤫 I recommend 👍🏾
