Aura Wellness Spa | Best Sauna & Body Scrub, Day Spa in NYC

my husband and i treated ourselves to the couples package (massage + scrub) and it was great! Amy and Lisa took excellent care of us. Having a private steam room was a plus and the facilities were very clean and well maintained. The massage was exactly what I needed after a tough workout the day before. Whatever shampoo and body wash they used during the scrub was a nice touch! Would happily come back and do it again!

This place is a gem, it’s quiet, clean, and the staff is really great. I had a Korean Body Scrub when I came here, and Lisa was so sweet and worked her magic on my tired and dry skin. My skin was soft and smooth after my treatment and I would highly recommend this spa. It’s a good price and they don’t charge you an entry fee like some of the other spas that I have been too. I was in and out in an hour continued on my day feeling refreshed!

My wife and I got a couples package here and loved it. Both the scrub and the massage from Amy and Lisa were excellent. Though the facilities were clean and modern, the services and overall vibe felt much more traditional and straightforward, which both my wife and I prefer to a more intentionally "luxurious" experience with unnecessary bells and whistles. We'll definitely be back.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Experience After 10 Years I visited Aura Spa over 10 years ago and had a wonderful experience back then, so I was really looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, today’s visit was the complete opposite. We booked a couple’s massage and walked in without being asked what type of massage we wanted. I mentioned that we wanted to use the sauna and have a nice massage. The sauna was extremely hot — almost unbearable — and when we went to shower afterward, one of the shower heads was covered with a black plastic bag, which didn’t give a good impression of cleanliness or maintenance. The massage itself was very disappointing. The women who worked on us didn’t actually massage us — they mostly patted our backs. At one point, one of them stood on my back, which was extremely uncomfortable and felt unsafe. I had to ask several times for her to actually work on the tight areas and knots instead of just patting me. Overall, the experience was far from relaxing or professional. The only positive part of our visit was the receptionist, who was pleasant and welcoming. I really hope Aura Spa takes this feedback seriously and makes some improvements, because what used to be a great place has really gone downhill.

Best Korean massage and scrub! I came in on a red eye and this is EXACTLY what I need to refresh and feel human again! Do yourself a favor and get the package to feel amazing!

You get what you pay for. If you are looking for a relaxing luxurious experience, this is not it. Massage lady could not even explain the types of massage available. I would not go back.

I needed a cozy place to relax, and this spa was perfect. After the massage, all my fatigue disappeared. My shoulders and neck were especially sore, but now I feel like I can go on for a few more weeks. haha.... Thank you for always relieving my stress! If you're feeling tired, I highly recommend visiting.
