Áurea Convento Capuchinos

Located on a narrow, winding street in the center of Segovia is this lovely hotel set inside a former monastery. The renovation of all the spaces is beautiful, the entire hotel is positively gleaming, from the white marble floors to the light colored interior stone walls. It is very modern and historic at the same time. Our room was a beautiful, large suite with a huge balcony overlooking the countryside outside Segovia. The hotel is very well located for exploring the historic core of Segovia on foot-especially the Cathedral and the Castle- and is only a 10-15 minute walk down to the stunning aqueduct. The hotel has indoor parking seemingly in the same complex, several levels below it and it is important to follow the driving directions provided by the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

The room was clean, good size and quiet. I love the view from my room, the morning were so peaceful and relax. Good location, a few minutes from the centrum and the Alcazar. The breakfast was good but would be beter as this is 5 star hotel, i expected more variety.

I gave this hotel a high rating because some of the rooms are fabulous with brick walls and wood beams in the ceiling and fantastic views of the surrounding area. This is a renovated convent. Ask for a room on the first floor like 301 or one that has what I described. My sister had this room and it was great. I unfortunately did not get that type of room, even though we paid the same rate. Mine was an ordinary, spacious hotel room with a limited view and a weird bathroom layout. The mattress was comfortable, and they had a good buffet breakfast. Reasonably close to go to the main square, but it's about a half mile walk from the aquaducts.

We had a reasonable stay but I will choose a different hotel next time. Segovia is a lovely place and this hotel is in a truly excellent location. Check-in was friendly, but we were disappointed to find that our triple room did not resemble the pictures on the website. The bathroom had no functioning ventilation. A number of the lights were burned out and we had only one window. The photo of the room is in the afternoon on a sunny day! There were other condition issues like scuffs and scratches which lowered the overall impression of the hotel. The staff were very clear that they could not change our room. The common areas are lovely. The food was fine. It's not always clear what 5-stars means in any given hotel, but my experience fell well below my standard.

We had a nice stay in Segovia and were very happy with Aurea Convento Capuchinos. The location is great, it's walking distance to the Cathedral, Alcazar, restaurants, shopping, etc. Our room was beautiful and had a nice view of the hills outside the city. Do bring plugs for charging phones as there were no USB ports.

This hotel is wonderful! Charming and atmospheric, well located with a fabulous breakfast buffet that also included made to order items like avocado toast and omelettes. Much appreciated touch was the yoga mat in the room! Sadly the thermal circuit was closed for maintenance which would have been an amazing bonus so be sure to check to see if it's open if that's important to you!

A spectacular hotel with exceptionally kind, English-speaking staff. Considering that Segovia is a relatively small city, discovering such a refined and tranquil gem was a genuine surprise. It is also ideally located, close to the city centre and the famous Aqueduct of Segovia, making it perfect for exploring the city on foot.

One of the most beatiful places I've ever been to! The room was exquisite, spacious, very clean and with a breathtaking view from the balcony! The service was 10/10! The staff made us very welcome and responded to our every need! They even gave us a bag to go with snacks and water the day we left! Not that we needed it, but it is the thought and gesture that counts :) I am very impressed with the place and am happy that service on this level still exists. I strongly recommend the place and urge to not hesitate and visit it! Congrats on the staff and the atmosphere they have created there!
