Eurostars Washington Irving | Best places to stay in Granada

"A few steps from the Alhambra’s Puerta de la Justicia, this 1820’s hotel was rebuilt in sleek, five-star style in 2016. Quotes on the walls recall American writer Washington Irving, whose charming Tales of the Alhambra, was written after a stay at the palace in 1828 (you can examine a first edition in the hotel library). Rooms are plush and very peaceful – quite a few overlook the Alhambra walls and gardens – and a dip in the rooftop pool and drink in the summer bar are very welcome after you’ve spent a hard day sightseeing. Breakfasts are good, and there’s an extremely helpful concierge. Best of all, it’s easy to be at the gate when the Alhambra opens in the morning, before the crowds ascend. " - Dana Facaros

A charming hotel with exceptionally friendly service. All staff members are extremely polite and helpful. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very cosy. The pool is a little on the cold side. Breakfast is lovely with a good variety of options. The hotel is perfectly located for visiting the Alhambra. If there is one area for improvement, it would be the gym – for a five-star hotel, it is rather small and some of the machines are not working properly. This could certainly be improved. Parking is also on the expensive side.

A truly beautiful hotel with fantastic services. We had an incredible room with a view of the Alhambra, and the staff are friendly and courteous, and efficient. There's an excellent restaurant and extensive pool service. The extensive breakfast, served in a charming setting, is varied and delicious. The beautiful, luxurious rooms, equipped with comfortable beds and very hygienic, are tastefully decorated and soundproofed. The staff are fantastic, helpful, and dedicated. Monica at reception, in particular, was a professional with a tremendous work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility. We plan to stay there again in the future. The sauna, relaxation areas, and swimming pool are located on the rooftop terrace and offer stunning views of the Alhambra and the nearby parks. If you want a carefree holiday in style, I recommend booking your stay here. TOP!

We had a lovely stay at this charming hotel in Granada. Our room was cozy, clean, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the Alhambra — a true highlight. The reception staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the outdoor seating area was spacious and refreshing. The parking service was also very convenient, which we really appreciated.||There were a couple of minor downsides: the pool was small and quite cold, but still manageable on a hot day. The hotel is located slightly uphill, so it's not in the very center of town — but it’s just a 5-minute walk to the Alhambra, and getting to the city center by taxi is quick and easy.||Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

I want to thank the hotel staff for a truly wonderful stay. The hotel is located in a picturesque spot with views of the Alhambra, right next to a beautiful park filled with tall trees, shaded paths, and gentle streams that give the whole place a special atmosphere. The level of service was excellent — high-quality bed linen, very comfortable beds, everything you might need in the bathroom, great soundproofing, and large floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light. A special thank you to the manager, Mar, for her kindness, attention, and warm attitude. During my stay, I had a birthday, and the hotel team made it truly special — I was greeted in the morning with a cake, champagne, and a thoughtful gift. It was incredibly touching and set the mood for a joyful day. I’ll definitely come back. Thank you for your care!

Fantastic location next to the beautiful Alhambra Palace. Very good hotel with really friendly staff. Good food, fantastic wine list, great pool and modern clean decoration. The perfect location to visit the alhambra and explore Granada without having to be right in the middle of it all. Only a 10 min walk through beautiful tree lined streets under the walls of the Alhambra lead down to the historic heart of Granada. Recommend the hotel 100%

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and it was an amazing experience. Probably the best hotel we ever had for that price.||The first great point is the location, it is steps from the Alcázar. You can also walk to the city center and cathedral if you want, it is around 1km. ||The room was also great, very comfortable and greatly decorated|Very good breakfast buffet with a choice of Spanish and international dishes, all great quality||We also enjoyed the pool on the roof of the hotel, very pleasant to relax after visiting Granada|Finally, the staff was great, very friendly and efficient

Probably the best location for the Alhambra, other than Paradore inside the castle. Valet car service was great, all the staffs were definitely 5 stars. Early check in was possible. I gave 4 for service because of breakfast. Quality and contents of food was not upto 5 stars hotel, probably 4, but the staffs working at breakfast time were supurb, kind and sincere. Over all I had great stay for 2 nights

We stayed here for just one night on a road trip. With the directions from the hotel we found the car park fine arriving mid day. Staff were very helpful and friendly giving us directions for a walk and lunch suggestions. |Room was very comfortable, air con worked well and breakfast was good. We left the car in the car park next morning and got a taxi to the Alhambra for 8 euros each way. Much quicker and more comfortable than the minibuses.|Location was perfect, lots of restaurants close by and the cathedral 2 minutes walk.|We really enjoyed our stay, short though it was.
