I recently moved out of Aurelien, lived there since the building opened in 2017 and I really did enjoy my few years living there. The building is beautiful, the amenities are top notch, the actual apartment units are very nice, it's truly the meaning of luxury - all aspects, especially the staff (management included) who are so on point with everything that they do! I honestly think that the person(s) who created and joined/signed the petition against the balcony project and team are absurd. The poor reviews on this building are ridiculous, the construction noise has been loud for the past few months no doubt BUT,
I personally feel it's better to have a
landlord/management company who fixes issues as soon as they present themselves rather than wait it out and risk an even bigger issue later down the line.
To my understanding, a couple of balconies were deemed unsafe therefore Aurelien decided to replace every balcony in the building for safety measures, which I appreciate, AS EVERYONE SHOULD.
It's a situation where you're darned if you do and darned if you don't.
If Aurelien chose not to replace everyone's balcony and an accident happened I'm sure someone would say "if there was an issue with a few of the balconies they should've replaced all of the balconies to avoid accidents" which is what they're doing yet it's still an issue.
I was given (along with other residents - I'm friends with other tenants in the building and we've all received the same offer) the option to get a discount on rent and sign an NDA or be let out of lease (no penalties) with 30 days notice. I decided to give notice and move elsewhere because the noise levels didn't work for me as I need a quiet space since I work from home and I have several conference calls a day but, if I didn't work from home I definitely would have stayed. The hours of construction are normal business hours, no earlier or later so if you leave for work you wouldn't be effected much. The issue isn't Aurelien's fault nor the team members, they didn't build the building themselves. Aside from the noise caused by the balcony construction, this is a great place to live. As you can see, management is really on top of fixing
any/every issue, that's truly the luxury - amazing service, that on top of the buildings beauty and amazing amenities, choosing to live here is a no brainer. There's a big chance that I may be back once the construction is finished, If I don't move out of state for work. Thank you for the past few years, Aurelien, and most importantly thank you for always making the safety of your residents a priority!
