The past few years as I've worked to reinvent myself, I've eaten a inexpensively as possible. My mental health therapist is always on my about self love. I'm addicted to good food and sugar. (Part of my health problems 😂🤣) Today, some money came through that I wasn't expecting. Paid some bills. Got maintenance for my car. I'm going to get new glasses (these are 6 years old!). And I snuck a few extra dollars out to remind myself of my love for quality. This is tomato basil soup and breads as my first course. Then Linguini Frutti Di Mare. I finished it with ONE mini canolli. It was so delicious. Like the perfect steak after 4 years of hamburger, only better because pasta! (Pasta and bread are on my no eat list, BTW. 🤣😂) This pasta has muscles, shrimp, calamari, and scallops. So much delicious! I really missed a chardonnay with it, but I am doing Uber tonight. No alcohol allowed. Oh! This was at Aurelio's on Garfield in Clinton Twp. The place is small and unassuming but so much better on the inside.

As a pasta connoisseur, I LOVED this place! From the best ceasar salad I think ive ever had, to the beautiful atmosphere and bathroom, to the savory creamy sauce. I got the lobster ravioli, and they were very generous with the lobster!! This place almost had us licking our plates clean the sauce was so good haha. 10/10 :)

I had an amazing experience at Aurelio’s! I ordered the chicken cremosi, and it was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, creamy, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything came out fresh and beautifully presented. Our server, Erik, was wonderful, friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. He really made the evening special. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Go for lunch on a week day and you'll have enough for the next day. Very generous portions and all $15 lunch deals.

Aurelio puts on a family-friendly over the top Italian restaurant. Just look at that eggplant parmesan in my picture. And how about that dessert with cannolis and what appears to be tiramisu on top. Just beautiful and wonderful dinner. Aurelio stopped by our table and we had a wonderful conversation.

Google
Went for a work lunch when Aurelio's opened at 11:30. Seated right away and out waitress was a sweetheart. Drinks and food were brought out quickly and service was top notch. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo and minestrone soup and they were both delicious! The bread and oil brought to the table was fresh and also very good!

Google
We went to dinner there on a weekday winter night, so it was not crowded. Service and food were both excellent. Our side salad and soup were wonderful, and we had a scrumptious bread basket. In addition to standard pasta, chicken, and veal dishes, the restaurant offers some interesting seafood dishes, and they are perfectly prepared. The ambience is cozy and cheerful, with big wall murals of Italian landscapes and architecture. It was my birthday and they gave me a dessert -- tiramisu! It was fabulous!

Google
Great place if you are looking for authentic Italian food. Food is freshly made to order your liking or seasoning. Big portion size and presentable we had to take it home cause we couldn't finish it. Definitely, we are returning back.

Yelp
Excellent Italian food located in Clinton Township. I have only been in the dining room once but have ordered delivery quite a few times. Every dish I have tried has been excellent and Aurelio's is my #1 Italian restaurant in the area.

Yelp
We ordered takeout tonight, and while most of the meal was great, the minestrone soup that was supposed to come with the lasagna was missing. When we called to address the issue, the staff insisted it had been packed, but unfortunately, it wasn't there. After spending over $50 on this meal, the only response we got was a simple "sorry"--no offer of a small credit or any solution. Needless to say, there won't be a next time. By the way there was only 3 shrimp and 1 scallop in the seafood fettuccine
google avatar

Sohaib L.

Yelp
Some good was basic but the shrimp and salmon were very good. Salmon is very lemony so be prepared. The service was excellent and place is very clean, homey and Italian.

Yelp
We ordered takeout from this place, so my review is only for the food, not eating in the restaurant. I felt like the food was just okay... it wasn't bad, but in my opinion it was lacking in flavor. We ordered chicken Alfredo, lasagna, and a fried mozzarella appetizer. The app was pretty good. The entrees were very bland. Portions were large and it was packaged nicely. They sent some bread on the house which was appreciated. I would be open to trying it again.

Virginia M.

Yelp
Went today with a group of eleven women. Several of us were very disappointed with the food today. I use to come here especially for there seafood ravioli. They no longer serve it. So I ordered linguine with clam sauce (another one of my favorites) . The sauce was terrible disappointing. I called to express my feelings and they just said they haven't changed their recipe. I don't believe it!

Yelp
We tried this place the other night when our normal go to Italian restaurant was completely booked and unable to work us in for over an hour. It was our first time here and upon entering it was a very cute little restaurant. Much smaller than what we thought but the murals and lighting made the place feel welcoming. There were only two tables that evening. We waited at the door for close to 5 minutes before being noticed. There was a make And female server, both looked barely twenty. There was confusion between them as to whom was taking care of the two of us. Finally our waiter came over and he was very nice. He explained the menu in great detail which was nice because the description on the menu is not clear of what comes with your meal. I believe it was just a typo that was never corrected. Unfortunately all of our meal fell flat and lackluster. There was seasoning to the food for the side of pasta. The bread felt microwaved. My chicken dish, even though a lemon crème sauce, tasted as if two whole lemons were juiced on top of it. Way too much. The spaghetti with meatballs again had no flavor, the meat an unusual texture. The was decent but doesn't make a meal. Most of our main dishes went uneaten and we didn't take the leftovers home. We may give it another try one time in the future... there's honestly too many good Italian options within two miles of this place...
google avatar

Yelp
Always great service. Decor is original and food is always delicious. I always enjoy their spaghetti with meat sauce. Meatballs are the best. They are great at allowing you to add extra garlic to the Alfredo sauce. We like garlic in our family. LOL. If you are waiting to try them ... just do it! So good!!'

Yelp
lovely family dining..very pretty spot with good food & service--amelia was our beautiful server--had chicken piccante & italian style white fish--both were excellent--they have an outdoor eating area but it was not open--lots of close free parking....

Yelp
Great service and food. Love the updated decor and outdoor seating. Great for family events.

Yelp
My hubby and I went here for a date night and let me tell you the food was amazing!! We were greeted promptly and seated. Our waitress was Olga and she was awesome! She was very friendly and took care of us throughout dinner. The portions are huge!! Neither of us could finish our dish so we had left overs for the next day. The inside is very neat, clean and cozy! It's the perfect spot for a date night :) They also have a beautiful patio that we will be sitting in next time we go. We we definitely be regulars here because the food and service were excellent! My hubby knows how much I love Italian food so I am glad we tried it! If you are looking for an authentic fancy Italian restaurant come here! You will not be disappointed!!

Christine M.

Yelp
Chicken Marsala was great! Also out waiter Niko was incredibly personable and made the experience most enjoyable.

Meagan R.

Yelp
If you want a cheap Italian lunch menu with great flavor, this place is it. Dinner? The cheese stuffed pasta with the palomino sauce was amazing. The cannoli was probably my favorite part, almost had a hint of cinnamon that was wonderful. Bravo!
google avatar

DeMario M.

Yelp
Went to Aurelio's about a week ago for lunch with some friends. The vibe was really nice. We sat outside on the patio. The owner of the restaurant and his son, we're sitting outside and greeted us. They explained the history of the restaurant and how they have been renovating. I thought it was pretty cool that they attempted to "get to know us". At any rate, we had the lunch specials. I ordered the chicken Parm, which was serve with a house salad. I must say this was a healthy amount of food for $13. I noticed that a lot of people inside were ordering the lasagna, per the waitress it's a must have. I guess I will try that next time.
google avatar

Raymond S.

Yelp
Agnieszka, Agnieszka, Agnieszka! She was our waitress and she made our evening. They were a little slow so she was able to spend a little time with us and we loved it. The food was great,, ravioli, eggplant parm, sausage and peppers app as well as a fried cheese thing. Small place, 12 booths and maybe ten tables but they do a substantial outdoor area. Good food, great service. Oh, no tap-bottled beers are American with the exception of Corona(MX), Labatt Nlue (Canada) and Peroni ((Italy) and I did not see a pepper grinder but we didn't ask either.

Yelp
First time coming here. Food was delicious and staff was friendly and nice. Decently price. I got the filet which was cooked to perfection and my boyfriend got the lasagna their presentation made it look so good and it was as good as it looked. Glad to have found this place.

Laura G.

Yelp
We had an excellent server. The food was delicious. The restaurant was warm and not so loud that you couldn't talk. Dessert was the best!

Yelp
Place looks nice and clean. Service was really good, I ordered salmon and it was raw on the inside. The server told me I should have ordered it well done. I've never had raw salmon served to me before. The rest of the food was fine but that was odd to me. It was kind of weird that it was empty at 6 on a Friday that should have been a sign. The side of pasta they served was weird also bc the noodles were stuck together it wasn't very good. Maybe better to Go there for lunch idk. Not impressed.

Yelp
I called this restaurant and asked if they had gift cards. Was told to come any day and anytime and they have them. I arrived with $100 cash in my hand and everyone who walked passed me asked if they could help me. Several of them gave me some excuse and I could not even understand their english when I told them I was wanting to purchase a $100 gift card. Some said they had to get a manager and there were problems with the register. ok, I really don't care if you have problems with your register, tell me either yes, or no. I stood there at the counter melting with this cash in hand and finally someone came out and said they had no gift cards at all. So glad I drove 25 minutes for this complete waste of my time. Got back in the car and drove to another Italian restaurant where they happily took my money and gave me a gift card.

Nick B.

Yelp
Greeted and seated fast! Got Mozzarella Fritta as an appetizer and it tasted like microwaved rubber. Ordered the Alfredo as my meal and it was bland. The salad and bread were good tho! Our server wasn't very attentive to us and took a while to get refills. This was my first and last time going here!

Clark A.

Yelp
Had a wonderful salad and Minestrone soup yesterday at the recommendation of our server - the Toscana Salad. Toscana Salad $15.95 Grilled chicken breast served over mixed greens with artichoke hearts , roasted red peppers, fresh tomatoes and fontanella cheese in olive oil balsamic vinegar dressing. Service was superb - not rushed. Nice quiet atmosphere where you could carry on a nice leisurely conversation with a friend.

Yelp
This place looks very nice from the outside. Walking in you are greeted right away and seemed at a table. The food is subpar my girlfriend ordered salmon and it was raw in the middle. The waitress came back and stated that's how we cook are salmon you have to ask for it well done if you don't want it raw. Won't be returning.

Kaiden L.

Yelp
I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary and had a terrible experience. The staff was not very attentive and did not check in frequently enough. Also, we were gifted a giftcard here and our waiter said that we could not use it and we had to pay in full. Instead of looking into it further, he said to come back next time with a reciept for the giftcard and to use it for that meal...we won't be coming back. It seemed like he put little effort into figuring out the giftcard issue. While we were waiting for our meal, a group of four came in 15 minutes after us and they recieved their meal quicker than us and left before we even recieved our bill. Not impressed.

Yelp
Wonderful Italian restaurant with great food! our server was very courteous & friendly. Our food portions were large enough for two additional meals (not including what we ate while there!). Their prices were extremely reasonable, considering the portion sizes. Nothing negative to say about anything except we wished the breading on the calamari was more flavorful, but all in all it was still cooked the way calamari should be. Looking forward to going back again soon!

Yelp
One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Macomb County they r so nice and huge portions very very good food try it out u won't be disappointed

Yelp
DID I MENTION IT IS VERY BRIGHT IN HERE? Could be an operating room. But once past that - some really good Italian food. 9 pm on Friday evening- party of 8 was leaving- only people left dining. A very young inexperienced waiter - he did an excellent job. Shared an order of shrimp scampi and seafood fettuccine. A salad and a cup of chicken tortellini soup. Good bread bowl also arrived. Soup, salad good. Entrees were so good, large portions- leftovers. Added a 1/2 carafe of wine. Fairly priced- with a good tip about $75 .

A G.

Yelp
While the service was very good I can't say anything good about the food. I ordered Veal Parmesan-what a joke, the veal was the thickness of deli lunch meat. I kept searching through the breading to find it. What a shame and waste of money. My husband had the seafood pasta which had all of two scallops and a few very tough shrimp. He also had the Caesar salad (up charged) which was drenched with dressing. Awful experience and waste of $60.

Yelp
I dined in here 5 years back when the lunch price was lower at $6.95. Recently, they had some elegant stone walls completed with the remodeling of the outside-inside. Now they upped the price a $1 which is still a reasonable and affordable price for an Italian lunch $7.95. The lunch menu attached has much to choose from. There is a listing of chicken with pasta. There are different Italian dishes to try with your choice of soup and salad for the conbo. Choose a mini personal pizza and even sandwiches and burgers for lunch with fries. I saw 4 Waitresses who were working, quickly and with prompt attention to their tables. We had a Italian server, did not understand her name or did not see her name tag. She brought waters 1st then in 10 minutes or less a bread basket with 2 types diced up. We snacked on bread and butter fast. The food came out quick and fast after we shared #1 bread basket. My minestrone soup was a little bit spicy not like I've had in past at Olive Garden or Carrabba's. I guess everyone has their different ingredients and way with spices to prepare. I'll try the chicken tortellini next time. My choice was eggplant Parmesan with pasta delicious and filling cooked perfectly. Yelp friend Laurie enjoyed the chicken marsala. She commented that her lunch choice was delicious especially with the plentiful mushrooms in the sauce. A very relaxing place with comforting food. It is well-lit and Italian theme environment. We arrived at 11:30 a.m. and by 1:00 p.m. the parking lot was full from viewing thru a window. The inside booths around us and tables were a variety of lunch crowd people, business, girlfriends having lunch or a husband and wife couple. I can compliment to say: fast service, great food, pleasant employees dressed in formal uniforms, along with linen tablecloths. Paper NO LINEN NAPKINS, boo.. Yes I was surprised this remodeled place did not display thick linen napkins with fine silverware on tables. I had no room for the many... delectable handmade desserts, so hopefully next time I will select to indulge! See my attached photos from my pleasant, satisfying lunch experience. Then try this place yourself to compare the food tastes, portion sizes and prices: versus Olive Garden or Carrabba's. They also sell a Bucket of Pasta enough for 4 guests in 3 choices served with homemade garlic bread & rolls =$14.95 They cater to many parties, events or family gatherings = Holiday's coming!! Hours for lunch 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Dinner till closing at 10:00pm on weekdays. Dinner till 11:00pm on weekends. Sunday 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. Try an Evening of Wine, Food, Romance? I wonder what it is like here for Dinner? TBD :)

Yelp
Our favorite Anniversary and Valentines spot. My husband and I always get the Bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and basil. He frequently orders the banana peppers sausage potatoes and onions appetizer as an entree. Other favorites are spaghetti arabiato, ravioli, and lasagna. For dessert we usually get the tiramisu, but the cannoli are good too. They have a pretty good wine selection and service is always attentive. Portions are large with bread and oil too. You won't leave hungry. We usually go early in the evening and are seated quickly but the place is usually packed by the time we leave.

Dan J.

Yelp
The restaurant is small, but the on ambience is wonderful. Great service and the food was outstanding. Best chicken Parm I've had in a long time. we ordered off the lunch menu and the portion size was huge. Would definitely recommend.

Michael R.

Yelp
Aur lips is one of our favorite go to Italian restaurants. The ambiance, service and food are all top notch. We have come to know our servers and the owners and the pride that the show in their restaurant makes it stand out from many others. They have an excellent wine selection as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant as a local favorite and hidden gem in the Macomb county area

Yelp
A little gem! Food is outstanding and the service is great! Cute atmosphere as well. Definitely cozy and cute vibes. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
I've been going here for many years - I used to bring my parents here for a nice dinner....the food has always been consistently well done. The remodel has added to the atmosphere as well. BUT what I want to talk about most is how accommodating they have been to me. They had an item on their menu called "Chicken Princess"...it was exceptional....for some reason when the menus were redone, they no longer had it. The first time I went back to have this my server Mateo asked for me if they could do this dish...they were so accommodating i have had it every time I have gone back. Mateo was great, the food was very good....and the way I was accommodated is rare. Please support this restaurant...it will be a positive meal for you!

Yelp
This is such a hole in the wall you DON'T want to miss it!!! This was our 2nd time going to Aurelio's and it was AMAZING again!! Such a cute family restaurant with the sweetest staff. The inside is decorated so cute you feel like you're not in Michigan! Also you get SO much food (bread & soup on top of your meal!) The portions are HUGE so you'll definitely get to enjoy leftovers. Everyone needs to try this place I can't recommend it enough! (Also sorry we got so excited to eat I didn't take proper pics of all the food!)

Cheryl E.

Yelp
Went to a party there recently of about 50 people. They do not have a separate room for large parties so we were in the main restaurant. Food was delicious! Staff was excellent attending to our party and the other patrons at the same time. They were pleasant and tended to everyone's needs. I would recommend this small, well run restaurant.
google avatar

Jonelle D.

Yelp
Amazing meal. Big portions and all homemade. Cannoli pie is to die for ! Also, thank you to the owner's son for giving us some cannolis to take home with the kids. Will return again.

Hank L.

Yelp
have been going to Aurellio's since it opened with our friends and we were there. Friday night and the food was excellent in large large portions which we ate the following night which we normally don't do. The staff was exceptional ----the entire restaurant is remodeled and looks terrific, including an outdoor patio, which we're looking forward to trying out in the summer. It's very good looking and the place is absolutely better than ever
google avatar

Sheri M.

Yelp
Great food and service! I got the sausage and peppers, massive and delicious! My husband had the chicken parm, he's a hard one to please and he actually really enjoyed it. Even the kids mac and cheese was so good, everyone at our table was blown away how wonderful it actually was! We got the tiramisu to go, homemade just like your Italian grandma made it.

William P.

Yelp
We chose Aurelio's as a destination primarily because we needed a fine dining establishment open on a Monday to celebrate a birthday. However, our experience prompts us to add it to our regular rotation of go-to spots. I started with a Long Island Iced Tea cocktail, which was genuine (we've had restaurants try to fake them in the past) and generous. My wife and I had the house merlot with dinner, which was delightfully fruity yet appropriately dry. The group had calamari and mussels as appetizers, which were generous enough in size to be shared by six. The sauces for both appetizers were unique. The mussel sauce is great on the calamari and is served with hot peppers which should not be missed. I had the salmon al catoccio, which is served with asparagus, artichoke hearts and capers in a lemon sauce. I had never had salmon served this way. It was delicious. My wife had the lobster ravioli, which was as good as we've had anywhere. We were then delighted to receive complimentary canolli for all. We definitely will be back.

Yelp
My husband and I got a carry out for dinner, excited because the reviews were so good. This was one of the worst dinners we've had in a while. I got an order of the chicken cremosi. The sauce tasted great but it was the most disgusting piece of chicken I've ever had at a restaurant. The small, maybe 4 oz piece of chicken was full of gristle, so I didn't have much to eat. The side of steamed broccoli was good. The side of pasta had red sauce all over it which wasn't mentioned in the dinner description. The minestrone soup was bland, but full of vegetables. My husband got the penne paradiso. He was unsatisfied with his tiny portion of pasta. he had three shrimp and three small pieces of grilled chicken in his pasta. He said the flavor was bland and he wished he got something else. I will give an extra star because everything was wrapped so nicely and piping hot, and the bread was delicious

Yelp
Do you know Italian restaurant, very friendly staff. Their bread is outstanding with dip.

Yelp
I am writing this five stars based on delicious food and a good value! I think it has been here for a number of years. It wasn't until my girlfriend started bringing it home occasionally for lunch. Really good lunch deals. It always came with salad and pasta or soup, I believe- or maybe it's salad or soup, couldn't say for certain as she always brings home somewhat a variety. Why not pick up a good meal for a dollar or two more than silly old fast food? We dined in Valentine's Day. They were busy, yet very accommodating. Don't know why there wasn't more of a wait. I would love to see them thrive and stay in business, yet I don't mind keeping this somewhat a secret! The sangria was very tasty, the bread seems homemade and was very good. Served with dipping oil and balsamic vinegar. I asked for a second serving to soak up the delicious sauce on the pasta! The water was extra wet, really quenches your thirst and contains zero calories as well as being gluten free! Calamari is lightly breaded and good. I was hoping to see some tentacles in there, not a very common practice to find them. Our main dishes were both great and came with soup or salad. We both had salad with ranch, not loaded with goodies, but just fine. Also comes with a side of mostacciolli topped with a nice and hearty vine ripened tomato sauce. I ordered veal topped with lobster. It wasn't TDF as I hoped, not the most tender veal and not much lobster, yet still good. My girlfriend ordered a chicken dish with broccoli and I believe a lemon butter creamosa sauce- OMG I wanted to mainline that sauce right into my veins! That dish was incredibly good! I wanna go back now to get that one. My Jen made it clear that I was not allowed to eat her leftovers, I cannot blame her for that! So dang good- ugh! The waiter was helpful, pleasant and "Johnny on the spot"... I hope to make it here more often. I like supporting mom and pop operations- darn that Olive Garden when they offer the never ending pastCheaper than Luciano's, less of a wait and great food. Go get Aurelio's today!

Yelp
I've lived in this area for many years, and I finally had the opportunity to try Aurelio's out. After watching the exterior renovations take place from old and drab to nice and inviting, it was time to have lunch here. The inside looked freshly updated with beautiful wall decor, and a fresh and bright atmosphere. We chose a booth, but tables are also an option. The restaurant was clean and neat and help was aplenty. The lunch guests all seemed to be enjoying their meals and conversations which of course is nice to see. The bread basket had offerings of two types of bread but sadly no oil for dipping, so butter it was. I ordered the Chicken Marsala over Penne pasta and I loved it. The chicken, pasta, mushrooms and sauce were delicious. No skimping here just because it's a lunch size portion. It's fair to say that their $7.95 lunch special is a good price for a simple and satisfying Italian meal. I didn't expect fancy, and I don't care about fancy. It's about the food, service and atmosphere of a restaurant and for that they deserve a thumbs up. I had plans of ordering a dessert but the portion size was perfect and I didn't have room to sample one. I wish the servers wore name tags though, because ours was awesome and she deserves to be recognized for her prompt and attentive service. I grabbed a wrapped mint on the way out which is always a nice offering for the guests as they're leaving. With good food, great service and a welcoming and comfortable dining room, I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
This is a fantastic italian restaurant. We went for lunch. Menu is varied with lots of sauce options. We tried the meat sauce, marinara and lemon cream-all were delicious. The portions were very generous. Overall the food was sublime! Even the bread at the table was phenomenal with a nice crisp salted crust. And they serve with olive oil/balsamic. The service was top notch, our waiter Alesandro was very attentive. Thank you! Restaurant decor is beautiful, painted frescoes. Perfect for a casual lunch, family meal or date night.

Carol L.

Yelp
I was told the food was fabulous; better than Luciano's and cheaper. I totally disagree! Fettuccine Alfredo had absolutely no taste whatsoever, I kept adding cheese and a bit of salt, didn't help at all. $15 for buttered noodles! Friend had lasagna, it was good, but the sauce was too acidic to me. Very good chicken pastini soup. Took fettuccine home to husband, he said it smelled good, but he agreed; theirs no taste. Went elsewhere afterwards for dessert to celebrate friend's birthday. Service was excellent, clean environment.

Yelp
I was really hoping the food would be worth the wait because the service was so bad. It was horrible! And, it wasn't busy at all!!

Ruth S.

Yelp
Food was not that great! Had chicken crimosa chicken was overcooked and lemon sauce was just ok! Bread was dry! My friend ordered eggplant parmagian sauce was bitter not homemade! Service was good! Waitress attentive! Not sure I'd eat there again! 2 stars

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Food was absolutely horrible! I ordered spaghetti with Italian sausage and the sausage was old and reheated and the spaghetti sauce taste like it came out of can. My boyfriend ordered seafood fettuccine that came with 1 scallop and 3 shrimps. Even the cocktails were bad as they premade and super sweet. I wouldn't recommend the food but the service and ambiance was good!

Ann Marie D.

Yelp
Horrible, high prices poor food. Service good. Meatballs were tough so was the steak. Old broccoli served.
