I got the orange, raspberry, mango, lemon, and banana. I spent around $90. Firstly, that is outrageous. We visited from another state so I thought I’d splurge since this is THE pastry shop. The staff was friendly, informative, and the shop was nice and clean.
The lemon: lacked in flavor, was EXTREMELY small for almost $15. Like fit in the palm of my hand. I split this with 4 people and we basically got 1 bite each. It was extremely mild in flavor. I would much rather have had a zingy lemon center or some crunch to it. Anything! It just lacked in a lot of spots. It crunchy, and visually appealing. But lacked in all other aspects. 2/10
The banana: by far my favorite. Super pungent banana flavor. The chocolate was not super dark or bitter which I loved. It was crunchy, and cute. It was a little on the small size, but the taste definitely made up for it. 9/10
The Mango: I’ve had a lot of these desserts from many pastry shops and the mango is always the most popular. This one was good, but not the best I’ve had. It has a nice puree on the inside. However, visually it lacked. The paint was clumpy, and blotchy. The mango flavor was good, but still seemed to lack something I couldn’t explain. 7.5/10
The orange: By far my least favorite. It was just a big mess of cream. It tasted similar to an orange creamsicle but with very little sweet to it. It was sort of bitter and tart like a real orange. However, this was not worth $25 for 90% cream, that was barely even flavored. It was cute in itself, but fairly bumpy and dimpled. And not in the true orange way. More in a we gaf what it looks like way. 3/10
The raspberry: my whole group agreed that this should be renamed the grape. The cream tasted just like artificial grape. Once you get past the bitter mousse, and the grape flavored cream. You get to a delish raspberry ram with a nice chocolate cake. I would give this a 6.5/10.
