We grabbed a drink at Aurora right after checking into our room at the Luxor. There was almost no one there despite it being a Friday night. We grabbed a table and were quickly helped by a server. Our server was very nice and offered us water - greatly appreciated after a road trip on a summer day in Vegas. I really liked the Spicy Mango Margarita. The mango taste was very yummy and you couldn't taste the alcohol at all. The bar was also quite pretty. This was a great start to our weekend.

Chad is the best guy I’ve had the pleasure meeting in Vegas serving at this bar and luckily it was slow enough that he taught my girl and I how to properly play the games and which ones paid well, all was some great conversation. He even mentioned he often helps people who seem to not have a good time losing money to at least least understand why and how to play the best odds they could have I still lost some money, but had a great time doing it and counted that money as lost before we started. Also was able to give my girlfriend a great massage from Holly while we were having some fun. I can tell this bar has a great camaraderie about it. One of the few bars that has a great tap selection in the Luxor and fun digital slot machines that have poker and other great games in a beautiful ambience.

Unfortunately, there is not much to choose in this property. The only decent bar in Luxor The bartender is arrogant and conceited. The life music is nice. I really don't know why I chose this property.

Lovely bar with plenty of screens for watching spot and brilliant table service. DJ on the weekend evenings is great giving a wonderful atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. My favourite bar in the hotel!

I’m an honest person and I have no problem updating reviews. Donna L. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 Great service and great drinks. Was prompt, courteous, explained the options during happy hour and was just nice. Way better experience than the past few times, KEEP HER! I stay here frequently. I will be back due to this experience. (They don’t have food so I defaulted it to 5 stars based on the service overall that I received. Thank you again)

Helpful staff and a nice place to chill in the Luxor.

Google
This is a review for the bartender that ripped me off. They do offer a happy hour from 5-7 I believe. There is a sign as you walk in and I didn’t get a picture. Sorry I’m leaving 1 star because the bar tender didn’t honor my happy hour after I asked and told him about the sign as I walk in. He wasn’t helpful and he didn’t care to want to serve me. For the not discounted 2$ you could at least pretend you care or want to have a job. Did I inconvenience you when I ordered a beer? Isn’t that your job? Com’on man! On the other hand I love this Casino, I loved the bar here. The lights are bling, it attracted me to this bar. Seriously a really cool bar! I hope you don’t have the same experience I had.

Google
This was supposed to be a Vodka Cranberry. John the bartender was rude and disrespectful. The drink tasted like water. When asked about it he said he couldn’t make another one and to take it or leave it. Don’t bother coming to this place if you want high quality service or drinks. $24 for a cheap drink you could get somewhere else for half the price or less.

Yelp
Not worth your time with so many other bars in Luxor and other surrounding properties. We sat at one of the little tables as the bar was already packed. We noticed they had a couple servers going around and getting drink orders for people. Naturally we thought they would come over to us shortly....this did not happen. After 15-20 minutes of waiting I suggested my wife go to the bar and check about drinks. She did so, and the bartender said oh you're at a table, a server will be right with you and said to return to the table. This also did not happen and another 10 minutes passed and we decided the table wasn't worth the hassle of not being served. Then we both went to the bar to order a drink. Mind you our table had no drink menu and the bartender had zero as well once we explained that. We explained our annoyance with no service after well over half an hour and got a small apology before he made us margaritas. They were decent but for the price and time waited I would pass and go anywhere else. Better bars & lounges in Vegas to be wasting time here.

Yelp
we went there for happy hour drink $5 and was hoping to try our luck on the video slot machine on the bar table. There were 2-3 bartenders working, but no one attend to us, we seated ourselves and waited for 5-10 minutes and decided to talk to the bartenders for our drinks. Will was the name on the receipt. we asked for the happy drinks menu, he didn't gave us the menu and told us to get the margarita, so we ordered and he served us the drink for $8 each, we're puzzled but decided to ignore and just paid the bill. The table slot are less interesting, we decided to leave after we got our drink for 5-10 minutes. It's boring bar.

Yelp
While meeting with some friends I asked them to meet me at the bar. When they asked which one, I said Aurora! This bar was easy to find as it was overlooking the front desk and there was a huge sign with the name. I wanted a place to hang out while watching the front desk queue simmer down a bit. Unfortunately, that never happened. My friends and I had several drinks while waiting but other than that the area is pretty and that's pretty much it. Parking: paid private structure VERDICT: One and done

Yelp
Heave to say that every time I come to the Luxor I have to come here exactly after I check in. The drinks are great and the atmosphere is so fun in the late morning to hang out with friends till we're ready to move on! It's noon somewhere! Our bartender Chad is the best.... If there is ever had omekase style of sushi this guy does the same for drinks guy is really observant and makes sure you are hydrated and not messed up. The vibe here is cool and relaxing no pressure, having some video slots is nice

Yelp
Kalai's service was. Amazing so good in fact flew back from Australia after she served me last year just to experience the great service. Highly recommend the venue because of the service!

Yelp
The seating area wasn't bad just my taste I didn't like the vibe . And a lot of their featured drinks were all vodka based and I'm not really a vodka fan . Service was pretty good but it also wasn't that busy so can't really judge fairly . Not a bad place but nothing really to set it apart from all the competition in the area

Yelp
Happy hour guitar player was crowd friendly, we tipped him to play a U2 song and he didn't disappoint. A cranky cocktail waitress one day, cranky bartended the next. Lucky we just wanted to smoke a cigar because no one came to offer us drinks. The furniture is ragged and on its last legs but looks good from afar...

Yelp
This is super cool spot in Luxor. Got the spicy mango margarita and it's nice! Got a good amount of bar space, and lots of couch seating around with TV's

Yelp
I'm a non-drinker, so take this review for what it's worth, but we met up with some friends here and I was really impressed. The location is great and easy to find. The bar has a really cool motif. And if you come during their generous happy hour, drink prices are actually reasonable for the strip. Happy hour is from 6:30-8:30 which is nice for us working locals. Cocktails are 6 or 7 dollars. It's not dirt cheap, but for the strip, the pricing isn't bad at all. We got ourselves a nice quiet area in the back to seat 5 people. They play music videos on the screen so you get some nice stuff to look at. The music was there but wasn't so LOUD. Service was nice and quick and they came by multiple times to refill our drinks (our server kept my water topped off.. hehe). Overall I would come here again, and if you're meeting people at the Luxor I think this is a great spot.

Yelp
Drink Play Discover Want to see the Northern Lights aka Aurora? Well ya ain't gonna see it it Vegas but they do have this colorful light show instead. Located right by check-in at Luxor is the colorfully lit Aurora. Seating is plenty, they run drink specials, and the service is great! Get yourself some alcohol without the glitz-and-glam, the pretentiousness, and the over-priced booze that Vegas can offer. There are lots of TVs everywhere to watch the game but I was drawn by the giant screens behind the check-in counter playing music videos. I like it! It's definitely one of the more relaxing bars you can have a drink at on this side of The Strip. I even saw people kicking their feet up. Whoa! $12 Long Island Tea? Woo!

Yelp
Mongonaise is the name on the receipt we got on Thursday evening. When we sat down to get a drink nobody greeted us for a while. There were two bartenders working. One was busy with a party of about 15 people give or take and the other was just talking to a couple around the corner from us. When the bartender who helped us got to the bar he noticed us right away and acknowledged us, like any good bartender would. He quickly asked us if we'd been helped yet, and when we told him we hadn't he promptly asked us if he could get us a drink. He made us a couple margaritas quickly and proceeded to make conversation with us. We really appreciate him taking the initiative and providing us with outstanding customer service. Thank you sir!

Yelp
Aurora was our first and last stop on our most recent trip to Vegas (it helped that we were staying at the Luxor). Excellent daily happy hour from 1pm - 3pm: 2-for-1 drinks, and the drinks don't have to be the same. Robert was our bartender each of the three times we went. Once he warmed up to us he was very friendly and a lot of fun to talk to. He was also nice enough to give us plastic cups so we could take our drinks to the pool. Seating was easy to find, maybe because we always went in the afternoon. I'm not sure why this place isn't more popular, but we liked it!

Yelp
CHAD CHAD CHAD CHAD CHAD Just ask for Chad. Best bartender around and told him the Asian girl sent you. The girl with the dragon.

Yelp
The drinks were on point and the service from the new waitress, Alisa, was the best I've had at a bar since 1988! I usually casino hop when I come to Vegas, to try them out but based on the service received here, tonight, that's stopping. Luxor and aurora for certs!!
google avatar

Susan H.

Yelp
As far as casino bars go this is one of my favorites. The bar tender was nice but lacked enthusiasm. He did make me and my friend a mean drink though! I ordered the Titanic which is now one of my all time favorites. It's a signature drink for this bar but it has St. Germain Liquor! YUM! Yea, it's $10.00 but it's worth it, plus it's kind of relaxing to sit back and watch the color tubes in the ceiling. We prob. saved money having a couple drinks here before going to cathouse, where the drinks are much more over priced then at Aurora. Just go order the Titanic, you'll see what I mean.

Yelp
Great Little Bar Tucked Away Inside the Luxor Pyramid in Vegas SITREP "Aurora", the "Goddess of the Dawn", so aptly named since on one occasion, I think it actually was almost dawn when we left after late night Karaoke activities ending at 3am. THE SETUP We actually cabbed back to the Luxor after Bazil's, but still a bit too wired to go to sleep and this place was still open. Wait. Let me rephrase that. It's ALWAYS open. Jesus - 24 HRS! [This is SOOOO not Sacramento.] ;) WHY I LOVE VEGAS That's the remarkable thing about Vegas I still have to get to used is that most bars don't close - they are open 24 hours! That's actually the thing I hate about bars in Sacramento, and even San Francisco & Seattle (my favorite Cities) - the bar security will go around and grab your drink at, what (checks his watch) 2am or even 1:40am and take the $10 drink you ordered that is still half full (because I am a sipper who likes to savor my martini or cocktail) - or forces you to down the top shelf goodness like it was some cheap shot. TRIANGULATION Located across from the lobby's front desk, Aurora can be that first distracting stop (as it was with me) before you get back to your room (and often a couple hour detour). MY DRINK Anyways, this was a fantastic chill spot. As far as drinks go, I'm basic with a Rum & Coke, and it was great to see that this drink is cheap - commensurately speaking - when compared to other cocktails here as anywhere. LUXOR-DECOR Nice to watch people doing the table top games nearby, but just as interesting is the lighting-effects inside the bar on the ceiling. And though the name-antecedent originates back to "The Dawn", in this instance, this bar's use of the name "Aurora", more specifically references those aforementioned lighting effects reminiscent of the Aurora Borealis or "Northern lights". THE LOWDOWN Aurora has a great chill Vegas vibe, and if you don't really want to be in the Casino areas, Aurora had for me a fun environment [Where I could enjoy my drink and have fun flirting with a group of ladies from the Czech Republic, whose biological clocks were still on Czech time, and so they were "up" already.] ;)

Yelp
Dimmed lights, dark corners, pastels highlighting the bar and those premium vodkas, and soft leather seats secluded into the corners and vast area of the lounge. Walking in, you almost need to be careful because you could potentially trip in the dark. Soft lights flow through the area where people sit and a little shine gives away to check out faces and bodies. The drinks were on Luxor, so I took the opportunity to check out the lounge. I invited myself to a set of leather couches, sank and and let my feet have a rest from those sky high heels. The service was a little slow but it was a good break from the loudness and the cloudiness of the casino. When our waitress came, she told us our options for our complimentary drinks: well drinks or beers. Since I already had a vodka crab about an hour earlier, I was hoping for some difference. The Hawaiian sea breeze did the trick, with a splash of cran juice but complimented with pineapple juice and well vodka. Her suggestion really hit the spot for me. The tangy sweetness of that pineapple did wonders. There seemed to be a couple of bartenders and two waitresses that were ether running back and forth in their 80s leather boots or trying to rearrange the furniture. The boo and I decided to enjoy each others company for a while in the dim setting and the privacy without the banter of others or the wait staff. Very clean interior and overall a good time, just wished they had food and some sweet melody to relax to. It's continently located right by the check in counter for Luxor. Mm great place to relax for a break.

Yelp
Walking past by this place multiple times while staying at the Luxor, I always thought that Aurora looked very appealing. I came here on my last night and sat at the bar. The lights above the bar were beautiful. Glass icicles were illuminated with varying colors that were reminiscent of aurora borealis (aka the Northern Lights), which rendered the name "Aurora" very appropriate for this lounge. The lounge was posh and trendy. If you stay at the Luxor, you can use your free drinks coupon here. However, during my visit, the bartender wasn't friendly and appeared disinterested in conversing with any of the patrons around the bar. He asked you what you wanted, prepared it, gave you the bill and never came back. I observed this repetitive pattern countless times when I was there. I don't know if I would return and pay full price for my drinks if I didn't have the coupon. There are so many bars and lounges throughout the Strip that I believe coming back here would just be settling for mediocrity.

Yelp
One of the better video poker bars. Bartender Bryant, dayshift, was very friendly, professional, fun, and kept our drinks flowing! Unlike Mandalay Bay where the bartenders seemed to be angry to have to serve you! Great experience Bryant!

Marci H.

Yelp
Seemed like a great spot to wait for the wedding upstairs. drinks were good. then the waitress forgot to give back the groom his credit card. after the wedding the whole party came down (30+). waitress kept adding drinks to one bar bill and came back to say she couldn't split it out. we told her to close it and start new ones for the others. didn't do that. added more drinks to our bill from other people. finally closed it out and left. the next day we found out she had forgotten to give back our credit card and it was at security for us. not a great experience.

Yelp
The five dollar bloody marys are the bomb! Atmosphere is awesome but a little loud. Say and smoked cigars while drinking unlimited $5 bloody marys. Also have $14 version with premium vodka. Tammy B is the server of choice. She is awesome!

Yelp
This lounge is located in the hotel Luxor and it's right next to the hotel registration desk and the casino. It has a nice view of all the rooms and it's kind of neat just looking up because the walls cave in. It's a open area with an bar in the middle. They have seats scattered everywhere so you can enjoy yourself with a group. But if you don't have a group, then you can sit at the bar and enjoy yourself some games. They have some kind of electronic computer games up at the bar. I'm not sure what it is, but I know it's some kind of games or games. Bartenders were nice and the drinks were really well made. I would definitely recommend this place.
google avatar

Brent W.

Yelp
Staying at the Luxor (see my review of Luxor for caveat), this centrally located lounge was pretty much our taking off point for whatever we ended up doing that particular evening. In fact, when the missus and I arrived in Vegas at around midnight, our friends were at Aurora, ready to welcome us w a few nice cocktails. Even though it's smack dab in the middle of Luxor, with a load of activity all around (it's sat between the Casino and the front desk area, where even at the latest hours the queue for check-in was 20 deep) it seemed quiet/cozy enough and nicely tucked away. Plus they played some nice funky, down-tempo house to set the vibe and mood, and to offset any hustle and bustle that was going on around you.

Yelp
Great service, my boyfriend wanted to watch a soccer game and they were extremely nice enough to change the tv in front of us, all smiles. I recommend the Green Wave (which has Malibu rum) Very relaxed ambience, perfect for the afternoon after going out. Oh and love love love the lighting

Yelp
Nice to relax and have a drink... good service... decent sized screens for sports. Comfy to sit back and just relax your feet for a couple mins.

Yelp
Just wanted to leave this here because I will be contacting the better business bureau. I am gambling at the Luxor , with my two friends ; I guess I'd like to include that one is a female African American & another mixed white & black since this is significant to what I was being called by a bar staff named Mongo . Me & my friend went up to the bar to ask if he was able to make a Mexican candy shot , he very rudely said he doesn't have the ingredients to do so .. okay no problem Can we get two waters instead ? Yes id's ? I take mine out & because there are couch chairs infront of the bar I am a bit far from the table so I slid my I'd up to him . He sticks out his hand & says I have a hand & refuses to check my I'd . I picked it up I said .. Then I ask , can she have a water ? She gave her id & he starts yelling . Not exaggerating YELLING at me that he has this star on his collar for no reason because he has the best customer service & he's a human being just like me just a bunch of stuff around the bar I was so shocked at what was happening I didnt even understand why it was happening . I said absolutely nothing wrong or disrespectful to him He then yells MY SKIN COLOR HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!!! & walks away to another customer . I let him knw my daughter was black& asked if he wanted to see a picture because skin color has nothing to do with anything . I did absolutely nothing . I really couldn't even believe what he was insinuating about me infront of other customers at the bar . That I am racist !? My daughter is black ! Puerto Rican & black . ! Skin color has nothing to do with anything he was right . I'm in tears , I've never had an experience like this anywhere . I'm contacting the better business bureau soon as I'm done with this review . I will never be back here . Ever .

Yelp
I enjoy drinking here during the graveyard shift. The bartender Bryant is just amazing. He makes the best Bloody Mary's. He has his own twist on the LA Water drink (premium LA water). Also if you like blue berries he has a blue berry pie drink. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I love to gamble at the Luxor for some reason. I just really like the Egyptian decor and wait service is always on point. While walking through we decided to stop at Aurora for a few drinks before hitting up some tables What a cute place. Love the decor and the service was on point. Bartender came up to us right away and I wanted to try their signature drink, The Aurora. This is made of Stolichnaya Blueberi, Blueberries, Juice of a Lime and rock candy Syrup. NICE! Strong and just right!. Okay: friendly crowd, strong and tasty drinks, good service. And the best part was getting invited to the penthouse on the 30th floor there for a cocktail party by some high roller gamblers who were getting their drank on there. Which was awesome! Um, Nat will be back!

Yelp
Nice, upscale lounge. I really liked the ambiance, dark modern furniture, glass icicles with colored lighting, hanging from the ceiling over the bar sort of giving the bar an air "aurora borealis" feel and add just the right amount of color. Mixed foo-foo drinks average $10, but are made strong and yummy. We came to this bar plenty of times, a couple of times there was a live band that was pretty good, I loved the female singer her voice reminded me of Lauren Hill. Every evening we would stop by for the meet and greet for free champagne, appetizers, coupons, & the raffle. My BF won tickets for Fantasy (boobies woohoo!) one day and another day we won a T-shirt. They were even giving away a return trip to Vegas with limo service and then some.
google avatar

Yelp
What Aurora has going for it is that it is right by the front desk....making it a great place to meet up with your friends before leaving Luxor to head somewhere else. I sent or received the "Meet at Aurora in 15 minutes" text at least 8 times in the 3 days I was there. It's your typical hotel lobby bar, but recently remodelled and dressed up to look a little more upscale lounge. Drinks were expensive and you could tell they had the b team working during the day. I would put a couple of bucks in the video poker machines at the bar, play slowly, and get a comp'd drink each time I was there. Even if I lost $5 and tipped the bartender $3 I still made out better than paying cash for the drink.
google avatar

Gk M.

Yelp
I had a wonderful time. Spent lots of money. When you tip well you have the best service. The drinks are very pricey, but they are anywhere you go. If you do not tip well, don't complain about the service. If you don't like that the drink is $14.00 dollars but a bottle and stay home. Your in Vegas!!!
google avatar

Yelp
We went here Thursday afternoon because we were staying at the Luxor and we were ready for some fancy drinks. The bar is beautiful with a great atmosphere, however; the customer service was lacking. After waiting 15 minutes (in a half empty bar), we gave our order. I was charged an additional $3 pour fee on an already pricey martini (not previously mentioned by our stoic server). These 2 drinks took almost another 15 minutes to make it to the table. After the drinks finally came, our waitress put the receipt down and said "I'll be right back for this." So after waiting a total of half an hour and spending almost $30 on two beverages, we felt rushed out.
google avatar

Justin E.

Yelp
Overpriced. Of course. Shitty, inattentive servers? That was a surprise. You might as well just sit down somewhere at a slot machine and you'll get better service than here. Plus then, at least your drink will be a tip only. We spent our free drink coupons here and planned on getting a few more rounds to make it up to our server... we ended up just staying for the one. It wasn't even worth the free drink.
google avatar

Johnny B.

Yelp
This a great little bar inside the Luxor, if that is where you find yourself. They have a very reasonable happy hour when comparing it to regular strip prices. The cocktail service was fast and friendly and the bartender knows how to make a tasty drink. I've been here a few times now, the prices and service will keep me as a repeat customer!
google avatar

Dede T.

Yelp
Don't come here if you expect to be served at all. My husband and I went here in the afternoon for a drink, there were a total of maybe 3 other people sitting at the bar and no one in the lounge chairs. We sat down at the bar where there were FOUR employees working, all of whom made eye contact with us several times, and not a SINGLE one of them asked us what we'd like to drink. We literally sat there waiting for over 15 minutes staring at the bartenders waiting for someone to at least come over and greet us. Nothing. I'd say the service was horrible but there wasn't ANY service to begin with. Oh, and one of the bartenders actually walked over and served a guy who showed up like 10 minutes after us. We left and went to the Centra bar which served us immediately after we sat down. Don't waste your time at this place.
google avatar

Mallory Y.

Yelp
Had great service every time I sat down in the bar and lounge area. It was really easy for us to come here for a quick drink before we went off on our Vegas endeavors. They got really busy during Thursday happy hour, but our cocktail waitress was great at coming and checking on us regularly. Decent selection on cocktails and drinks. I only wish they had more beer on tap.

Yelp
Great classy bar to meet up with buds as they arrive at the LUXOR. Great venue for groups. As we slowly trickle into The Luxor for a weekend event or occasion AURORA is a cool n classy venue, and it's right across from the hotel check in area. So, if you arrive first, check in, go up to your suite. Freshen up, and come down here to hunker down for a few hours and sip your cosmos. Because of the wide openness of the venue, you will be visible to your buds as they arrive. Great for groups in that the tables and chairs and little stools are all easily movable. Sure, you'll be paying The Strip prices for your drinks, but they are pretty good. Natch the cocktail waitresses are super attractive (all colors shapes and a sizes in a very cool modern way that works) and skimpily clad. Not so much a place for local Las Vegans. But when I first moved here in 2009, my soon to become my boyfriend of 6+ months agreed to meet me here even the drinks would be at The Strip prices because I felt COMFORTABLE with the venue. I'll have to remember to take some pix next time I'm over there.

Yelp
$12 for a mediocre Mojito and served with attitude? Blah! The service here is terrible. I only like the place because of the location within the Luxor. The Mojito I ordered here with my group was good but not $12 at 5pm good. I'd rather sit at the penny slot machines and get blotto for a penny a spin and a $1 tip to the drink waitresses. Sure, the decor is nice for the Luxor and the location is pretty sweet.....but you can do better. Especially for a club priced drink............at 5pm........
google avatar

david b.

Yelp
This place is ok for being inside the hotel/casino. I can't say there is anything special about this place. There is no waiting service until 1 PM so if you are seated at the tables you need to make your way to the bar.
google avatar

April T.

Yelp
Seriously weird place.I don't believe it's run to its fullest potential. Maybe I'm too old for this scene? Maybe I just don't get it. I believe that if you offer table service, it should be more than clearing the tables. Servers come by to collect empties, yet don't ask if we want another round. I do admit it's a nice central place to meet up with friends before going to a bar that values customers. Remember to go to the bar to order.

I would've given this bar a 3 star but the service was just unbearably slow. Located at the bottom of the Luxor Pyramid there were no surprises, serving beer, cocktails, and wine. A group of 7 of us came in around midnight on a weekday and it was pretty dead, as Vegas usually is on the weekdays so I was expecting fast service. Instead we ordered three rounds of drinks and had to wait too long between them. What? I'm in Vegas and I can't get a continual buzz? Unacceptable.

Yelp
My go to after work place in the Luxor... when Public House isn't open that is ;) After horrible after horrible experiences at the sports book at the Luxor we finally tried this place. The bartenders here are very friendly and welcoming. They have a pretty extensive choice of beers on tap & liquors. The lights above the bar are really cool too. They look like glowsticks! Overall a great place to lounge and grab a drink late night.

Yelp
Decent selection of drinks and quality service staff. Very appealing decorations with comfy and modern seating.

Yelp
The ambiance was nice. But the bartenders were rude. We were handed our drinks and never heard from our bartender, Herbie, again. What's the point of looking at something nice if the service is poor. Pretty on the outside, ugly on the inside.

Yelp
Disappointed with the drink I got, Bloody Mary just tasted like V8 with pepper. The service was good and the atmosphere was awesome.
