18 Essential Restaurants to Savor in Savannah

"Don’t let the line out of the door be a deterrence — instead, let it be an assurance that Auspicious Baking Company is worth a little wait. Luckily though, the community-supported bakery in Sandfly has an efficient system in place to quickly serve croissants, cinnamon rolls, loaves, and spreads. The menu rotates, but expect staples like chocolate and ham cheese croissants, baguettes, and English muffins mixed in with inventive pastries like churro croissant loaves and lemon cheesecake “Pop-Tarts.” Vegan selections are always available, like everything, on a first-come, first-serve basis, and other cafes and restaurants around town, like Origin Coffee Bar and Provisions, sell Auspicious’s baked goods if you want to skip the line." - Elizabeth Bowers

Popped in just before they closed for the weekend. We grabbed a couple pain de chocolate. They were the perfect snack between museums on Georgia Historical Society Super Museum Sunday!

Google
Vegan-friendly bakery. Back to back visits over the wknd cause these baked goods are soo good. As other reviewers posted, the staff asked if we wanted a glove change to avoid contamination. Vegan maple buns and croissants are delightful and paired exceptionally well with coffee. Friendly service and lovely atmosphere. Purchased extra to store away in the freezer for future memories. Thanks for being there Auspicious!!

This is our favorite bakery in Savannah! Their pastries are such innovating flavors and croissants have excellent lamination. They have friendly and talented staff, that make you want to visit often.

Adorable spot. Extremely polite staff. Delicious coffee and baked goods. I was going to share a photo of the baked pretzels but it was so good I ate it before I had the chance to photograph it

I normally don't go to a lot of bakeries often because they are inconsistent. But Auspicious is nothing but consistent. The line outside is testament to their goods. When you walk in the smells of freshly baked goods waft into your noses. Ordering is fast and efficient. And the employees are some if the most courtesy people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. This is my 3rd Sunday visiting in a row and next week will be the 4th.

Google
There's always a line, but it's absolutely worth the wait. Even when it's busy, they greet you and thank you for coming in. Towards the end of the afternoon, they start discounting items. I got extra soft pretzels since they were bogo. The red velvet turnover was amazing.

Delicious! Exceeded my expectations! Quiche is so fluffy. Love the sticky bun! Can't wait to eat the cinnamon roll later. 🙂

Google
Absolutely love Auspicious!! I have been a customer since they were located in the tiny shop on Skidaway near Derenne. Their bakery items are delicious and they are always coming out with new and unique flavors each week. The staff is always friendly and so welcoming to everyone. Best bakery in town!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! We went on a Sunday. When we passed it the line was out the door! to me that is a good sign. When we came back we stopped at 5 Spot Sandfly. Another good choice!!! Anyway, if you go, go early to avoid the line. We got a Coconut Creme Croissant and a Red Velvet cake bar. Sorry about the description I don't remember the full names. OMG! The croissant was out of this world and the coconut was such a marvelous addition!!! The red velvet bar was amazing as well! You have to go out of the way to get to Auspicious Baking Co.!!!

Yelp
After hearing non-stop rave reviews about Auspicious, it was finally time we try it! They are located in a small strip mall in Sandfly with plenty of parking out front. I decided to stop in late on a weekend which was a mistake. There were very few pastries to choose from so make sure to go before noon if you would like good options! In addition to baked goods, they had cute little gifts, delicious looking soups and a WONDERFUL chive cream cheese that I had to bring home with me. The cream cheese had so much flavor and officially ruined grocery store bought cream cheese. For sweets I decided on pound cake, red velvet squares, and a coconut croissant. The red velvet squares were huge, tasty and perfectly moist. The coconut croissant was so flaky and basically a coconut macaroon in croissant form - what dreams are made of! Lastly, the pound cake was not to my liking. It was very dry. I am not sure if it had been out for a couple of days or what but I did not eat it. I am looking forward to coming back for yummy treats earlier in the morning and do see what the hype is all about for this place just based on the few items I really enjoyed. Until next time!

Yelp
We were recommended Auspicious Baking for vegan options. Coming here it's a small shop and I would say 90% of the store was bakery shop. That's what I liked to see. We had someone with an egg allergy so it was good to know that vegan options were there. I got one of each of the options with the vegan options. The pastries were great! I think they were a little bit dense, but I would have to say that the flavors were there. The croissant still had fluffy bubbles of air inside the bread too as well which I thought was amazing especially with the difficulty without butter. I enjoyed all of their sandwiches. BBQ? Sure, that wasn't bad and I enjoyed it. I thought the Lox sandwich was a bit off. You just can't do lox without having it fresh. If you like salmon, it's a bit different as the salmon is inside the pastry as it's cooked so the salmon that comes out is cooked. Last thing to note, vegan doesn't always mean allergy free. I can see that cross contamination is very possible especially when you're cooking egg products. There's nothing wrong with that, but if you have an allergy, I would just say be careful. Auspicious provides the vegan options (which are great), but if you get a reaction, I would tread very carefully. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend Auspicious if you're looking for a bakery with fresh products.

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp and I knew I had to make a stop. The line goes out the door, but the front end of the shop is pretty small and the line moves quick. The employees are super friendly and their suggestions are spot on. We got the Blueberry Cheesecake Croissant, Blackberry Pistachio Croissant Loaf, Quiche, Salmon & Cream Cheese Croissant, and Harissa Croissant. My favorite was the blackberry pistachio croissant--it wasn't too sweet and the croissant was still lightly crisp. The Harissa was a close favorite, though I wish the Harissa was a bit spicier. I wish I had more time (and stomach space) to return and try the other amazing pastries they have!

Yelp
What an amazing bakery! They have the best breads I have ever tasted! I look forward to coming here to buy freshly made rolls and artisan loaves of bread. Get here early, they sell out fast!

Yelp
Not really sure what else to say here other than, go! But make sure you hit the line before ~at least~ 11am or else you may have slim pickings due to high demand. Lived in Savannah for almost 2 years before I figured this place out & I have regrets! It's hard to recommend what to get, as you probably can't go wrong with anything you order. My favs so far have been the Everything Bagel Seasoning Croissant (whatever they put inside is magic!) & the Red Velvet Square (pretty sure this is seasonal). I also took one of their Plain Croissants home & made an egg & bacon breakfast sandwich out of it, which did not disappoint. There are some small tables to sit at inside, but the space itself it fairly small. Again, make sure you plan to go early. Or else expect to wait in line and potentially have limited items to choose from. The staff is always friendly, so even if you're impatient from showing up late, they'll cheer you up when you get to the counter!

Yelp
It's always nice to find bakeries that offer vegan options. Our local friend recommended this place to us as someone in our group had an egg allergy, and our friend comes here often with their child who has an egg allergy (including baked goods containing eggs). From the vegan options, I got to try the croissant, chocolate croissant, almond turnover, and the maple glazed bun. Obviously the pastries are missing the buttery taste of regular pastries, but these are really good. The almond turnover was my favorite. I also had the regular chocolate croissant and wished I ordered more than 1. While there are vegan options, they are not allergy friendly. If you are looking for vegan options due to allergies I would not come here due to cross contamination. Our friend with the egg allergy ended up having a moderate reaction after eating the vegan chocolate croissant. (Please note that I'm not blaming Auspicious! It's a hit and miss with allergies and bakeries. We came knowing the risks. Just wanted to make this note for people looking for allergy friendly spots.)

Yelp
I was visiting Savannah and drove 25 minutes outside of the city to stop ay this bakery. The pastries are incredible and it's definitely worth the drive. There aren't really seats inside so I recommend planning to get pastries to go. The service was great and I was in and out in under three minutes.
google avatar

Yelp
The selection wasn't great when I stopped in, likely because it was late on a weekend afternoon. Nonetheless, the chocolate croissant and porridge loaf I had were top quality. Besides its flakiness, my croissant had three chocolate batons inside, making for a more comprehensive chocolate experience than most of these things where you get a lot of bites with no chocolate at all. My loaf with oatmeal mixed in was delicious and lasted a while. They had a variety of hummus and soups and salads which perhaps I should have gotten. Not a ton of other sweet pastries, but given the pictures available, I might stop by at a different time and see if I can get more of a selection.

Yelp
The pastries and coffee are delicious. As soon as we walked through the doors of Auspicious, we were greeted with a smile & helped in a few seconds. The smell of fresh baked goodness hit the nose within seconds of walking through the door. Visiting this place was such a pleasant treat and we look forward to buying something tomorrow for our road trip back home from vacation.

Yelp
How have I not reviewed this place?? I've been a very happy customer for many years. It's a drive clear across town and I hope they don't open a sind shop closer to me because I'd gain a lot of weight and go broke at the same rate. I've never not loved what I brought home. From bread to pastries, crackers and treats. Just buy it all, enjoy and you'll hurry back just as soon as you can!
google avatar

Bryan M.

Yelp
It's been three years since my last review of this place and I've downed a lot o cinnamon rolls since then. The young lady who takes your order and sets up your tray recognizes me now and just puts one on the tray to start. What can I say! Again, the place is just great with the best baked goods around Savannah and, the reason for my update today, the nicest people who work there. Today, in a pouring rain, with me holding a bag of baked goods in one hand and two cups of coffee in the other, an employee ran out to the car with me, and opened my door, so I could get in easier. He had to get soaked....I was for sure, but that was so so nice! Just great people and the food is just fantastic. We get the pizza dough and do our own pizzas at least once a month. The lines on Fri/Sat/Sun out front at 8:00 tell you all you need to know, too. Just great!!!

Yelp
I'm not a huge pastry fan, but my wife is and we often have overnight guests so we sometimes go to Auspicious so we can lay out a selection of pastries for eh morning. The selection is impressive and the pasties are very good. The atmosphere is perfect for a pick-it-up-and-go style place. You can see them baking and the display is well done. The service is generally very good though I did have a bad experience with one overzealous staffer one morning that insisted on making patrons in line stand outside in spite of 45 degree temperatures and rain.

Yelp
Auspicious Bakery is worth all the hype! I don't think I have ever had anything bad there. I typically order something salty and sweet (the best combo in my opinion). Their staff is always so helpful and kind - with a smile on their faces every weekend! Tip: make sure you get there early to grab your favorite pastry items!
google avatar

Yelp
You'll begin drooling just after passing the threshold of the entry door. Seriously! You'll probably have to wait to be served--not because of a lack of attentiveness of the staff, but because they are do darn busy in here!!! Everywhere staff scrambles in an orchestrated way, and the team of counter attendants eagerly assist the line of hopeful patrons waiting to fulfill their bread and pastry dreams! I'd selected two of the world's finest specimens of hand crafted croissants (I swear!) not only to enjoy but also to be subject matter for this review. Not picture is there? Nope...they were sacrificed to my stomach. Whatever choices you make here-hand crafted artisan breads of the highest order, house made soups, rolls and pastries that are out of this world, or cookies and other delights--you'll be in pastry heaven. In fact, if 'Pastry Heaven' has a front door, you've just found it! Cemented for me, forever, as an incredible citadel of pastry mastery.

Yelp
One of, if not, THE best bakery in town. Always has and always will. They're not your typical donut and bagel shop. The croissants and pastry's these guys put out are out of this world. Every week they're trying up something new but they have their staples they don't drift away from as well. Everything I have had is delicious and their cinnamon roll will compete with any one in the nation, hands down. It's a must stop for me.

Barbara B.

Yelp
Everything is delicious. Only disappointed that they are not open everyday. Trythe croissants...
google avatar

Kristin K.

Yelp
Best pastries in town. Definitely try the garlic Parmesan pretzel in Saturdays. Keep to the pastries. The hummus is not even close to authentic.

Ardis H.

Yelp
Very nice, popular local bakery. We are vacationing in Savannah and have visited twice. My husband's favorite is the gluten free maple cinnamon roll. We both like baguettes! Expect a line. Go early for best selections. Not your typical family bakery with a large selection of cakes and cookies. They specialize in croissants. They sell pizza dough and sauce. We haven't tried the pizza dough yet. All of the baked items are very attractive and packed nicely for takeout.
google avatar

Lili J.

Yelp
It is impossible to buy just one thing here- every option looks (and tastes) absolutely wonderful from the croissants, to the quiches to the hummus. Something for everyone on their menu.

Rachael K.

Yelp
incredible pastries, desserts, and breads! We come here all the time. Personal fav is the cream cheese danish. perfect bakery- just make sure to get there early enough on weekends and busier days to have more of a selection! service is always fast & workers are so kind! typically just grab and go - not a whole lot of room inside to sit down, but there are a couple tables.
google avatar

Yelp
CROISSANT OMG...best croissant I have ever had! Super buttery delicious! Light and airy with lots of holes inside (which is what you want) and soft and moist with a perfectly flakey outer "crust". COME EARLY As a fresh bakery, they will run out of bread! And did for me...This was my first visit to the bakery and was exited to pickup a baguette or other bread to accompany the spaghetti dinner that is planned for the night. I was sad to discover they had sold out of ALL bread products and it was only 1pm on Friday. ATMOSPHERE This is mostly setup for takeout with very small, but quaint seating area. The kitchen bakery is wide open to to front retail area so you can see the bakers working on their large work tables. It really makes the experience feel authentic, and their products are! PASTRIES Many sweet pastries were available. I wanted to try it all but settled on the croissant. I'll have to leave an updated review when I am lucky enough to try their breads. I have high hopes!!!

Yelp
This is one of the best bakeries I have ever been too ! The selection of pastries made it hard to choose because one looked better than the next . The staff was very friendly! Do yourself a favor and try Auspicious bakery !

Yelp
Great bakery. Good selection. Reasonable prices. Love it. Go there every Saturday to stock up for the upcoming week.

Yelp
I was first suspicious of Auspicious... then I went in. And wow how fun to have a nice little bakery next to a nice coffee spot! The people are friendly and you definitely feel the local business happiness about the place. Selection is always changing, and over time you pick your favorites and hope they have them in. Hard to not find something good every time!

Yelp
If you're craving something absolutely delicious, and fresh baked, this is the bakery for you. Let me just start by saying the folks working here are happy, pleasant people, and the aroma from the variety of baked goods is amazing. I went in for something sweet and came out with the most savory, smoked salmon croissant. The options are endless here. They are conveniently located across the street from one of my favorite nurseries. Perfect! I can grab a plant and some baked goods all in the same stop.

Alexandria R.

Yelp
Everyone was super friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed every item I picked up. I'm coming in from Ohio, and I cannot wait to stop there first thing!

Yelp
Let's talk about the baking genius known as Auspicious Bakery! Their baked goods are ridiculously yummy. If you have not been to their brick and mortar store in Sandfly don't worry! There is a good chance you have had some of their baked goodness at a restaurant in Savannah. They provide bread and baked treats to many local restaurants. Here's the scoop on how to getting baked goodness from Auspicious. They are open for pre order or pickup only on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. Yes, I know that does not seem like a lot of days. But keep in mind they have to make bread and baked treats for many restaurants locally! So being open three days a week to feed their adoring fans is awesome! I would highly suggest pre ordering online. You'll be able to see all the products available for the next day. Also will be able to get the quantity of each product you would like. You pay online and will be sent a confirmation email & text. When pre ordering try to do so early! They sell out quickly. Auspicious is open to their adoring public at 9 am. If you have pre ordered your food is packaged and ready for you. This saves you time. But if you are a visual person and prefer to see the baked goodness in person before purchase go early! They have a limited amount of food they keep for purchase day of. So you can see and get what you like. But keep in mind, limited amount of food. And their line can be long. Like out the door long. This is why I highly suggest arriving as close to 9 as possible. Ok let's talk about the food! I love their wheat bread, cinnamon rolls, & vegan croissants. Yes you read that correctly. They have vegan options too! My husband loves the cream cheese danish and their cookies. We always try out new items. Because they add new options weekly. We are on the lookout for soon to be new favorites, lol! Basically as long as you aren't allergic to gluten go visit Auspicious Bakery! You'll support a local business. And go home with scrumptious baked goods.

Yelp
Auspicious Baking Co is THE BEST!! Get there early before they sell out! So many great choices and they are all definitely DELICIOUS!!

Yelp
A not so hidden anymore gem of Savannah! Do not come visit Savannah without going to this delicious bakery! It will be worth the drive. They are only a few days a week, but worth the wait!

Yelp
Wow !! I seriously loved coming here. It's my first Bakery I've been to over here in Georgia and I'm so glad it was. I LOVED the vegan maple bun (I believe it was called). That bun was soooo moist all the way through. I also got the tahini hummus along with the rye caraway crackers and MMM my tastebuds are very satisfied Plus everyone in there was super nice, especially the cashier. I got a sticker to remember this place!
google avatar

Levette D.

Yelp
The best baked pastries and breads. I purchased the spinach and broccoli pesto quiche, cream cheese pastry, cinnamon roll and a blueberry loaf. They were all so good. I wanted to eat them so bad I forgot to take a photo. The worst part is that they are only open Thursday to Sunday until 3 pm. I've been here so many times and I've tried almost everything without chocolate, and I loved it all. You can't go wrong with Auspicious Bakery. Everything is flaky, rich, and delicious.
google avatar

Maria D.

Yelp
I went on a Friday morning. I thought the selection was a bit sparse. The croissant was average. The cinnamon bun was good. The cold brew was terrible. It's located in a strip mall so not a pleasant environment. Wishing we just stayed in downtown Savannah and walked to a coffee shop for breakfast.
google avatar

Marianna F.

Yelp
This is my favorite little shop here in Savannah! Everything here is absolutely amazing! The people are always friendly and most helpful. I promise you won't be disappointed with any of the food you get. It's truly amazing! Be sure to come a little early as they are always quite busy.
google avatar

Yelp
Best bakery in JAX. Was lucky to find this unique bakery with so many amazing savory and sweet baked goods. Friendly staff and great product!
google avatar

Joshua B.

Yelp
What an incredible bakery! We tried this spot last time we were in Savannah and we were absolutely blown away by the quality. We tried a mix of different pastries and you really cannot go wrong. They offer some of the best croissants I have ever had. We revisited on our most recent visit and the quality remains top notch. The new location has more parking and is easier to get in and out of. There was a little line outside the door, but it moved quickly. We grabbed a mix of rolls, croissants, pastries, and danishes. Everything was exceptional. I would highly recommend this spot if you love high quality pastries at a reasonable price.
google avatar

Nicole A.

Yelp
Auspicious is that good. Get there early, they will sell out of everything. Love the croissants and the quiches!

Yelp
Auspicious Bakjng Company moves to shops at Sandfly (the same location was Great Harvest Bread before). During Coronavirus outbreak, I've been self-quarantine and work at home for 2 weeks already. I am even so scared to order food for take-out and cook at home all the time just to make sure my family member is in the safe zone . One day, I was driving around with kids to find new places to take a walk and get some fresh air. I saw Auspicious Baking Company sign in Shops at Sandfly. On the door, it said "soft opening in March only Fridays 8am-5pm". I couldn't wait and went home to set a notification on my phone for visiting Auspicious Bakery on Friday. (Now they change to open on Fridays, Saturdays and Tuesdays from 8am-3pm. But hours and dates may be different time to time, please check their official website before visit) This Morning, I was so excited to walk in. Inside the bakery shop was bright with all employees smiling at me. I ordered salmon cream cheese croissant, almond pear galette, almond Tupelo honey croissant, vadouvan curry spelt and babaganoush. I mentioned before, when comes to the good bakery, my brain becomes so weak, the brain can't coordinate with my stomach, and end up eating too much before I realize I have to stop. And... oops~ I did it again. There is something I really like Auspicious Baking Company. Everyone is so nice and polite, I can tell people work here has passion to their bakery goods, when they explain to me, their eyes are excited and proud. And the sweet deserts are not over sweet to make you feel guilty after eating too much. The salty bakeries don't let you end up keep drinking water/ coffee, either. Everything is prefect! Oh... please try their babaganoush if you either love Greek foods or you like eggplant dishes. Or, if you love food in general. It is different, and I am pleasantly surprised. I am so thankful during Coronavirus outbreaks, I can still enjoy such delicious baking goods from Auspicious Baking Company. Thank you, thank you. BTW, Auspicious Baking Company encourages people make orders from online or phone orders in advance and pick up from Shops of Sandfly location during the critical period. Of course visiting the shop in person is welcomed. Wish everyone stay safe, stay healthy and eat good.

Yelp
Auspicious Baking Company (ABC) is one of my happy places in Savannah and when we move away in a couple of months, I will most likely cry for months and suffer from ABC withdrawal for years to come and I'm not even exaggerating. If you know my love of baked goods, you will understand my upcoming heartache if you've had any of ABC's delights. Pre-COVID-19 pandemic, their OG location was down the street at this quaint little shop that had just enough room for a single file line and their showcase of delicious goodies. There was something about the feeling of excitement and anticipation the night before my planned visit, showing up to a busy parking lot and standing in line with other ABC fans just waiting to get inside for our turns to take a peek at what ABC made in the wee hours of that morning. ABC had plans for expansion and opened this second location here, but due to the pandemic, they had to make some tough decisions and ultimately, decided to close the doors of the OG location. I'm missing the small shop feel, but bigger location means, more room to make the goodies, more people to make them and more love of ABC to go around. Win win for all! - Parking - Center lot. - Service - ABC is owned and operated by truly wonderful people, a couple, Katie and Mark, masters at their craft. You will often see them baking or helping out at the front, in the middle of the action. The owners hire kind and helpful people like themselves. Like attracts like. Katie and Mark are the kind of people who take the time to express their gratitude for your time and business. - The Goods - You can get your hands on their goodies 2 ways: walk-in or preorder online the night before (they announce the ordering window on Instagram) to be picked up starting at 9am the following morning. What I usually do is place my order online to lock in the items I definitely don't want to miss out on and when I go to pick up my order, I'll end up ordering other things that catches my eye! I know it defeats the purpose of ordering, but I can't help it and it reduces the time I would normally stand there trying to decide LOL. My go-to items are croissants and they deserve their own special mention. I've had almost every croissant item, chocolate, ham & cheese and croissant loaves, with the exception of the Everything Croissant with cream cheese. I'm just a sweet gal ;) They've even made a double chocolate croissant in the past. These are the real deal! They fold that buttery dough, over and over and over to give you ALL the layers. Outside of Paris, their croissant has been one of the best in my book! Other faves and go-to items are scones, GG Grandma Schmidt's Brownies, Cinnamon Rolls, their cupcakes (Chocolate or Vanilla) and their cookies. I've also had their pop tarts and Monkey Bread. You can't go wrong. They have a variety of breads, savory items and make things like Hummus, Babaganoush and salads. Leopold's Ice Cream is available for purchase there as well! They have vegan options as well! - Helpful tips - *They are open for retail hours only for 3 days out of the week (Fri, Sat & Sun), so plan accordingly, especially if you're visiting. They are hard at work the rest of the week supplying local restaurants, cafes and shops. If you simply cannot wait for the end of the week, visit any of the local businesses listed on their website that serve their items. It's a long list. Their products are found in all different forms, from pastries, to breads for sandwiches or even pizza dough! *I do believe they still offer a military discount, both in-store and online, so just ask. Never expected, but always appreciated! - COVID-19 Observations - *All staff members are wearing masks *Plexiglass has been installed to protect the precious goods *As I mentioned, take advantage of the online preorder! It's simple and you're in and out in a jiffy (unless you're me and can't resist). ABC is not to be missed! Stay Safe, Friends!

Yelp
How have I not reviewed what may be my favorite spot in Savannah yet? Walk into the store just for the smells of fresh bread. Buy their local coffee from Perc Roasters. Finally stuff your belly with every treat they have possible. My all time favorite crescent is the "Everything Crescent" it is sweet, yet savory and flakes everywhere. I truly go here for as many crescents that my wallet can afford at a time. I love this business. I love this business. I was so sad when they moved, until I went to the new shop! It is so much bigger and they can crank out even more of my favorite treats. They switch things up everytime I am there. Always with the original treats and some new ones to taste everytime. They have vegan options and the friendliest staff! This is truly my favorite spot in Savannah.

Karina B.

Yelp
Delicious cinnamon rolls and best scones the brownie not my cup of tea feels like I'm chewing on play dough but their cinnamons, scones and pop tarts are delicious!

Stephanie F.

Yelp
The best bakery ever!! This place is hands down the best bakery I have ever been to! We drove over 3 hours to come here and I'd do it again! Their everything croissant, turkey brie, cranberry croissant, blueberry loaf, maple galette, churro brioche bun and maple cookie was all amazing!!

Tim K.

Yelp
Truly an exceptional establishment you don't want to miss! The baked goods are amazing and the service is great. I had a ham and cheese croissant and my wife enjoyed a chocolate croissant. Superlatives are lacking for just how good they were. Reminded me of the croissants we had in Paris!

Kate F.

Yelp
Perhaps the best baked goods I've ever had - and I treat sampling baked goods as a serious side hustle. Literally everything we tried was delicious. I'm kind of glad they are a 10hr drive away or I'd likely stop by daily to the detriment of my health :)

Yelp
On a trip home from church my friends stopped to pick up some cinnamon buns and chocolate croissants. We reheated the cinnamon buns which became slightly toasted on the outside in a delightful way and maintained their gooey nature on the inside. I could have done with slightly more cinnamon/spice but overall they hit the spot. The chocolate croissant could have been more flakey and we would have enjoyed a darker, more bitter chocolate for the filling since the dough itself is very rich. If we had heated it more we may have given that item a 4/5 instead of 3.5/5. Overall, def a lovely local bakery worth the support.

Yelp
Delicious!! Everything we had was amazing and the workers were very nice! So flaky and delicious! Go early! We missed out on some pastries and took the last of others when we came by around 10 am. There is a bit of a line but it moves fast. Will come back soon!

Yelp
I forgot to review them but since I have so much time on my hands with the world in quarantine, now is a great time! I absolutely love this bakery! They are amazing! Probably the best I've ever had. I kept seeing photos pop up and one day I took a drive to brave the line. It was worth it. They have an order ahead option too on their website. I'm assuming it cuts down the amount of people waiting in line now. In any case, support them. You won't be disappointed. My favorites are the everything bagel croissant, the monkey bread, orange rolls, and their English muffins.

Yelp
Auspicious' new location has been the brightest spot of this quarantine. They have made it extremely easy to preorder online ahead of open hours on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. While I've been a fan for a long time, the preorder has enabled me to try out all of their different creations but the chocolate croissant still remains a constant favorite! This is a must visit!!
