New Arboretum Cheese Shop Offers 80 Varieties of Fromage - Eater Austin

"The Arboretum in North Austin has a new spot for wine and cheese. Austin Cheese Co., located at 10000 Research Boulevard, serves dozens of cheeses, lunch specials, wine, beer, and other artisan goods. The shop has a rotating selection of about 80 cheeses, which are mostly from the United States. There are more traditional styles like clothbound cheddar and aged gouda as well as more unusual cheeses like morbier-style goat cheeses. Cheese can be sampled, arranged in a charcuterie board, or taken to-go. In the near future, Austin Cheese Co. plans to host “Cheese 101” tastings on-site to help educate people about different cheese. The shop serves a selection of sandwiches, soups, and salads for lunch, like a bacon and brie sandwich, green goddess salad, and super cheesy mac and cheese. There’s also craft beer, many wines, and cheese accompaniments like jams, chocolates, and honey. Austin Cheese Co. is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m." - Erin Russell

OMG. Cheese, beer, wine in an accessible affordable format. yes please...show me how to enjoy cheeseboards and charcuterie. Loved the bacon and brie sandwich with red wine. OMG...loved the passion fruit chocolate truffle. Bought presents for three people including my uncle who has it all...he loved the cheese plate I made for him. Need to return soon!!!

This place is a hidden gem. Went in to try their grilled cheese and was blown away. It's heaven. Their mac & cheese was not as good - a bit bland imo. Definitely coming back for a date night - Forget wine and cheese pairings, imma get the grilled cheese! Also the people there are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Love the tasteful use of yellow in the branding, the nice background music, and the overall vibes. It's a happy place! If I wanted a food gift I'd come here for sure, though it seems they're on the pricier side which is no surprise considering it's a dedicated cheese shop.

Can you say Girls Day Out! My girlfriend and I went to the Arboretum on Sunday and fell upon a quaint little cheese shop! Oh, but it was so much more. We sat in the best seats in the house and had a glass of delicious wine, a meat plate, and ended with the sweetest chocolate you could have ever tasted. It was absolutely Devine. I mean we went in for a quick visit and stayed for 2 hours! We have deemed this place our "new little spot"

Great experience dining at the Austin Cheese Co! Food was delicious! Quite possibly the best macaroni and cheese I've had. We will definitely be back. Looking forward to them starting classes in the new year.

Had a great time and Loved the food and cheese of course. Very nice employees/owner and well educated on what they have. First time here and bought a little bit of everything. Prices are generous and cheese selections are exquisite. Large selection of wines to choose from and half price bottles on Tuesdays.

The staff here are friendly, engaging, and seemed to know their stuff when it comes to cheese. They paired a few things for me and went out of their qay to make this little sample tray for me. I picked up a few small gifts for a housewarming gift as well. They've got wine and beer and a good spot to sit and people watch.
