Had me a Groupon to come use. Was it worth it. Check this little spot! After taking a stool or working out or even after grocery shopping come stop on by and get authentic Mediterranean cuisine!!! I order the Habibi Falafel Wrap that comes with fries, Pita, and Baklava!!! You must check this little slice of life out!!! Pricing is easy on the wallet also!

Google
Small portions and cafeteria style fries. Mozarella sticks tasted like cheap frozen ones. Came cold but that might be uber's fault. Will never order from here again.

Google
Delicious! Had the Habibi gyro salad. So big I can eat it 3 times! I just wish they had stronger forks

This used to be an amazing place to eat. My last order was over $50 on a delivery app, and everything was wrong. And, gross. The red sauce was ketchup. The chicken was greasy and mushy. Special requests for leaving off an item was ignored. Plus, the poor driver had to wait an additional 45 minutes for the order...it took them 1.5 hours to make my order. And - look how tiny the $4 fries is now. Used to be great - but I'll stick with Kismet from now on.

Google
The food is tasty but it is very greasy. I felt my stomach is filled with some heavy material. Be ready for a lot of sauce!!

Google
Worst food experience I've had in a long time. I feel like Gordon Ramsey off the show Kitchen Nightmares. The food was extremely dry and it was cold. The ingredients didn't taste fresh. There was hair in my food. When I asked for tzatziki sauce they gave me ranch. RANCH. You're a Mediterranean place and you don't know what tzatziki sauce is? :/ Give it a try but don't expect much. I wish I would have taken the advice of the low reviews before me.

Food, price, and service are all why I keep coming back here. Not to mention the Tuesday and Thursday Stand-Up comedy at 9pm. Now I bring all of my friends here. There's outdoor seating. Food ready in less than 7 minutes usually. They told me that they do not use seed oils which is a plus. They customize my meal to my specification each time with a smile. Thank you!

I tried this for lunch last week and wasn't impressed. The ingredients didn't seem fresh and I'm not planning on going back. Probably good for a late night; crap I have no other choice and it's next to my apartment option, but I wasn't a fan. $9 for the wrap.

Yelp
Oh. My. Gosh. The Greek Gyro Salad was to die for! Hubs and I walked over to this food truck for lunch as I was feeling salad-ish. The pictures looked promising so we made our way over. The truck is parked in a nook with other food trucks and as plenty of benches to eat around. The only con? There are flies everywhere. We walked over a couple of blocks where we found some tables to eat outside of the Trader Joe's spot. The gyro meat was flavorful and juicy. The salad was topped with the perfect amount of dressing and toppings (onions, tomatoes, and olives). Hubs ordered a wrap and scarfed it. I was picking at his fries which had ketchup and white sauce drizzled over them and they tasted great. The staff was friendly. Packaging was clean and presentable. And most importantly, the food was delicious.

Schelly Y.

Yelp
Decent option if you're in the mood for gyros where they do plates, wraps, over hummus, over salad, or over French fries. We tried the chicken salad and the combo plate over fries plus a side of hummus. The hummus was a bit bland but paired with the other dishes it was okay.

Amber A.

Yelp
What a yummy lunch. I ordered from GrubHub today: the beef shawarma Wrap with fries and baklava. The wrap was stuffed to the brim with shawarma, but had an equal amount of their awesome salad mix: romaine lettuce tomatoes with a fine dice of cucumber. No big pieces perfectly complemented the savory and delicious meat. The white and red sauce added some nice but not overpowering heat. The fries were ketchup and the white sauce. These were your typical fast food thin fries, and I wasn't overly impressed, but the wrap more than makes up for it. The baclava was sweet and flaky, honey and small chopped nuts that was a perfect dessert to finish my lunch. I loved the food, and will definitely try a plate next time to get some of their Greek salad. So nice to have an alternative to Kebablicious since I no longer work downtown. Grateful for GrubHub; the order was packed well and didn't spill.

Abida H.

Yelp
Wanted to love this place since Greek food is my favorite, but I'm sure how it even has 4 stars... Ordered the gyro salad and for $16, I received a bed of mostly lettuce with gyro crumble on top. The gyro meat should be in longer strips and not how it was, and taste was very mediocre. Hummus on the side had an odd flavor. Dressing was good. Not a great meal and insanely overpriced. Can't speak to service since I didn't dine-in.

Jane O.

Yelp
Gyro overstuffed and the meat was sooo tender! Such flavors! Red and white fries to die for. Baklava extra sweet with honey hit my sweet tooth just right. Cheesecake was small for the price but the richness made up for it. Favor delivery was fast and affordable. This is on my favorites list.

Gina F.

Yelp
Tried this for the first time on an Uber Eats delivery and it was just okay. We ordered both the chicken salad and chicken plate. It started off not great when we didn't get the red sauce with either of our meals. Also asked for all sauce on the side and that didn't happen either, but oh well, could be worse. I thought all our food lacked flavor in general and then the chicken plate ended up having bones in it, pretty gross to bite into. Would not order from here again. May be better in person, but delivery is a no go.

Yelp
If you just keep on walking, all the way down the main drag, and then you pretty much have left the main concentration of bars and restaurants and loud music, and then. you still keep walking a block off of the main drag, then you've found it. Located next to what can only be described as a lonely dive bar, the setup here is a permanent food truck/cart kind of situation, with a little courtyard full of picnic tables. Though it shared the courtyard with another truck (Mexican, maybe? Thai? ) I never saw the other truck open. We stopped by in the height of SXSW and had the entire courtyard to ourselves. It was cold that first night, and since it's only outdoor seating, that makes sense. We came back on the last night--a beautiful Austin spring night--and there were two other groups, so I get the feeling it's not exactly a hot destination. And that was perfect for me, I was tired and in need of quick food both times, and it's very affordable so the party people can have their packed, loud bars. I went back and forth, but both times landed on getting a wrap and not a plate. The first night was chicken, and the last was a combo. I liked the chicken a little better, and the sauce really brought it to life, with that signature creaminess, with just the right amount of spice. I added dolmas the last night but would skip them next time. The wrap and fries are plenty and kept me far under my budget. While not perfect, this was dang delicious, plenty fast, and super cheap.

Truth S.

Yelp
Ordered the beef & chicken plates. The beef was SO incredibly salty that my friend couldn't eat his meal at all. My chicken plate was meh. They were out of an appetizer & rather than contacting me or giving me my money back for it, they simply replaced it with something else (I didn't want). Very disappointed. We will never eat here again.

Carmen L.

Yelp
It wasn't terrible. We ordered the beef shawarma plate and the rice was a bit under cook. You could tell right away (visually) by the tightness of the grain -- that and the fact it was semi transparent which is what undercooked rice tends to look like. The beef was a bit salty but aromatics were there. My husband and I are new to Austin but have been struggling to find authentic ANYTHING. Was really hoping this restaurant could've filled the void but we'll keep looking.

Mary L.

Yelp
They drowned my lunch! I started with the fries, which were nicely packed in a little box, which was smart because this was basically French Fry soup. There was so much sauce, the fries had gone completely soggy by the time I got home. I switched from fingers to fork, then gave up. And I rarely give up on fries! Meanwhile my BF was working on the hummus, which he said was "bland" and "weird." He is super picky about hummus, so I gave it a try and had to agree with him. It tasted to me like watered-down tahini, and slightly metallic. No hint of chickpeas, lemon, garlic, etc. I moved on to my Combo Wrap. At first, I tried to eat it like a burrito, as God intended. But She never met as wet a gyro wrap as this. I ended up putting it on a plate and actually blotting it with paper towels! Once I'd done that, it was better, but it was all so soggy that after I'd eaten most of the salad part, I put it in a skillet to crisp it up a bit. After that, it was delicious. If I go back--a big if at this point--I'll skip the hummus and say, "Don't drown my lunch!!!"

Maria R.

Yelp
i went on thursday morning and the food was so gross and nasty the chicken was raw and bad service the man that was There was so disrespectfuel i well never go There again and i dont recommend this place!!!!!!!!

Katie B.

Yelp
Inconsistent for me for delivery - food wise. I've ordered the fried mozzarella sticks twice and unless you know how to bring back their golden crispiness on your stovetop, they're kind of a wash. The last hummus batch I received was rancid. And not the first time I've found it inedible, which is a shame because I'd like to think this part of my order I'm thinking about my future self and how I'll want to snack on this, so I'm always so sad when that doesn't come to fruition. Love the pita and love the plates and salads. Always a mountain of food slathered in all the right kinds of sauces.

Sasa P.

Yelp
So much flavor and such a reasonable price. You get a hefty, flavorful sandwich on pita PLUS fries with delicious sauce on top all for $9. You can't find a better deal and better food for that amount. HOWEVER, the menu is not exhaustive about what ingredients they include in the sandwiches. If you don't like raw onions (like me) or perhaps peppers, beware that both of these unmentioned ingredients were in my sandwich.

Shradha A.

Yelp
Our experience was quite mediocre, especially given the gentleman at the truck was just short and temperamental for no obvious reason. With so many fabulous options for Middle Eastern food, this truck escaped the top-ten recommendation list from us. Flavors were A-OK - nothing to return for.

Jay L.

Yelp
Excellent chicken and rice plate. Chicken is well seasoned and rice is sublime. Must be cooked in a rich flavorful broth to make the rice this good. Hummus is good but a little on the grainy side. Couldve used a piece of pita for the hummus.

Stacey L.

Yelp
The food truck on Menchaca has consistently good food. Their falafel is light and delicious! I'm addicted.

Mark M.

Yelp
Ordered the gyro plate and got food poisoning from it. It was a long three days of recovering. Please be careful eating here.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Ordered ahead for lunch and was able to pick up my food right away even though I was a few minutes early. The person working the register was friendly and accommodated my request for extra rice instead of salad that I put in through the app. The portion size was great for the price, including generous serving of chicken compared to the amount of rice. The chicken was pretty juicy, but not super flavorful. The white sauce was creamy, but I was surprised the hot sauce didn't register more flavor; even after I asked for extra it still only gave a mild flavor to the dish. Overall, a solid spot for a filling meal, but nothing spectacular flavor wise.

Seema J.

Yelp
We passed by this place in high hopes because it was 4 stars. i ordered the combo shawarma which was pretty good overall- until i tried the hummus i ordered on the side. The hummus had a weird hard film on top as of it had been sitting out of the fridge for a long time and it DEFINITELY tasted expired. it was extremely bitter but i think it was left out for too long and went bad.

Aubrey A.

Yelp
This place makes for a decent quick food stop. The service was friendly and fast. The salad was fresh, the hummus tasted good, and the chicken and rice was great especially with the sauce but I would probably ask for a little more red sauce next time. My friend and I shared a single chicken hababi plate and it was enough to satisfy both of us. I'd try this place out again in the future.

Kevin V.

Yelp
Aside from the outstanding food they serve here, let me just tell you how amazing their customer service is. I ordered a DoorDash order at lunch here and accidentally hit pickup instead of delivery. Unable to leave a job site to come and pick it up I called and asked if they could just put it in the fridge till I get off. The owner Ali who I spoke with said no I'll come and bring it to you. In his personal truck, he drove the order all the way to me and then refused my tip when I offered. What a solid dude!!!

Mahesh P.

Yelp
Excellent falafel, good otherwise. The falafel is the thing here - hot, crisp, and crunchy while texturally complex at the same time (the inside m'friend, which is both soft, and has the occasional toothy feel). The rest of the food is good, but oh, those falafel! And the rice to go with it! (And yeah, for you hummus fanatics, that's good too). BTW, the whole thing is in the mini food court next to the "tiniest bar in texas" thing. The point being, get thee some falafel, wander over, and have one or more beers...

Robin W.

Yelp
First time ever having a falafel and we are fans now. We chose to get the falafel side which came with 4 bites which was a nice sample. The sauce was very tasty. The service was fast and friendly. We look forward to trying other items on the menu!

Dan D.

Yelp
The best Mediterranean food truck in Austin the gyro plate is great! Easy location to get to.

Samantha S.

Yelp
Love their hummus and all of their plate options. Great balance of meat, rice, dips and salad! Great for a quick and easy workweek lunch, and not pricy either.

Annie T.

Yelp
my food was covered in dairy despite my efforts to order otherwise! not vegan friendly

John T.

Yelp
The food is good, fast preparation. These poor folks are having hell with grubhib delivery (Katherine) being very rude. I will order again but request another delivery service.

Chelsea R.

Yelp
This food truck is delish! The combo plates have a subtle Indian flavor. The dressing on the salads are this amazing creamy Greek. The fries are smothered in a sweet ketchup. The outdoor space where you eat is funky and right next the small Texas bar with rock music playing. Great place!

Xia B.

Yelp
This is my new favorite falafel spot. Spiced perfectly, filling, crisp outside and not rubbery like others'. Obvi the food is halal and they have plenty of options for the vegans. Minus one star because the fries are drenched in sloppy creams/sauce. (If you know me from my other reviews, sloppy food is a huge pet peeve). I scarfed down a cauliflower wrap, dolma, and falafel, for the grand total of 1 Groupon and 2 dollars.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
I love hummus so I thought I should try this place. On Grubhub, they have $8 off an order of $12. Okay!!! I ordered the Gyro wrap with fries and a side of hummus. Okay...I had lamb as a kid and I hated it. Hated it! I think because my mom said it was beef (picky eater, okay?) and it didn't taste right. Back to my sandwich. This amazing pita wrapped wonderfulness just removed all hesitation I have towards lamb. It came with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, i think cucumbers, and a white and red sauce. It had a spicy symbol on it. I'm a sissy when it comes to spice. This made my forehead sweat but not in a "what hell is this?" sweat. The fries had a signature sauce. Tasted like spicy ketchup. I ate them and am not complaining. I was beyond full and did not eat the hummus. I cannot wait to eat here again! No pics. It was messy and in my belly before I thought about a picture.

Jamie L.

Yelp
This place is hit or miss to be honest. Portions are very inconsistent. I've been here three times and the first time they gave me so much food it was insane. The food was like filled to the top... almost looked like it was going to explode. But then the next times it was like half full and more lettuce than rice or meat. They also give a lot of sauce sometimes or not a lot. They got my order wrong when I asked for no hot sauce and I almost died bc the hot sauce is pretty dang spicy. But when lulu do get lucky, the food is really good. In my opinion, better than halal guys since halal guys can be dry at times. The falafel is pretty good but I think that's hit or miss as well. The customer service that you get will vary depending on who serves you. I had a really nice person serve me but then another time the man was not friendly. Give it a try, and see how you like it.

Hannah B.

Yelp
Food arrived over an hour late I ordered a falafel salad. It was comprised of lettuce, tomato, and falafel. There were no olives, feta, cucumber, cheese, or sweet peppers like the menu says it contains. Also ordered a side of tabouli, and didn't receive it. I got dolmas instead. I didn't order dolmas. I told the driver that my order was wrong, and he said he "grabbed the two items he saw" and to contact Grubhub. He didn't seem apologetic or to care at all. What the hell is wrong with y'all? Is it dumb cooks, or dumb drivers? This is the millionth time I've been disappointed with GrubHub delivery. I'm done with y'all.

Mishal H.

Yelp
My friend and I got the habibi plate combo to share and it was DELICIOUS! The rice was cooked great, just enough white sauce, and crisp fresh vegetables. I liked it better than all the halal guys/bros/gyro kings. Service was excellent too!

Erica M.

Yelp
Disappointed Visit from out of town craving Greek food & this left me still craving... not authentic at all

Sherrill S.

Yelp
I have wanted to try this place for a really long time and finally got to today! I was really impressed with the service here. My boyfriend, roommate, and I ordered 6 dishes and they finished making them in 10-15 minutes (we ordered on the phone and then drove there to pick up). We asked for extra sauces and the server happily gave us a generous amount. They seem to genuinely love what they do and their customers. The food tasted great and I would definitely recommend this place!

Mendy Y.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Well, it's no Halal Guys, but a good enough alternative for sure. Ordered via UberEATS and it was super cheap / delivery was very prompt. I tried the gyro platter, which included gyro with some white sesame sauce and tomatoes / lettuce / cucumbers on the side all on top of rice. I really appreciated that the whole thing wasn't lathered with sauce and that you could ask for the spicy red sauce on the side. The portion is also sizable but not enormous enough to the point where you enter food coma stage afterwards. It's a good semi-healthy dinner or I'm sure delicious during later hours of the night...:) P.S. - The fries are drenched in ketchup and white sauce, which I really didn't like. So wouldn't recommend unfortunately.

Dorothy L.

Yelp
The gyro salad is mispriced AND overpriced. Listed as $9.99 on their website, it rang up as $10.99 at the register. Regardless, $12 after tax seems a bit much for iceberg lettuce and some gyro topping.

Sara O.

Yelp
This was a totally pleasant surprise on a rainy day that I didn't want to leave the office. I searched what I could have delivered and this popped up. I had the gyro and it was PACKED, so delicious. The red sauce will getcha, so if you don't like spice, ask them to hold that, there was just enough for me . . . Really delicious. My friend had the chicken wrap and said that it too, was great. I wasn't in love with the hummus, it was middle of the road - I like my hummus a little garlicky OR with some nice lemon zing, but this was more bland than that. The pita bread was really good though. We'll definitely go there or order in again.

Rahim P.

Yelp
HORRIBLE !!!! Never gets order correct Every time we order from this place they never ever get the order correct

Robby D.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Had a large online order for an office nearby. Was ignored for several minutes at the window before I was able to let them know that I was picking up an online group order. I was handed 12 individual soft plastic bags. They offered to give me slightly larger bags that I would have to bag myself, so I declined. I got the meals back to the office to discover that everyone's meals had been jumbled up. We used ordering app group order and requested that names be put on the items, but the restaurant did not put names on the orders. The food, was also a mixed bag. Some people were fine with their orders, despite the fact that requests for sauce on the side or the exclusion of certain ingredients were totally ignored. Others told me that their food was inedible, and some of the salads had pieces of paper throughout. Until the quality of service is addressed I don't see myself going back to Austin's Habibi anytime soon.

Shilpa K.

Yelp
Ordered falafel plate for lunch by Grubhub, and what you get is burnt black falafel over uncooked rice grains that are almost dried out. So far the worst falafel I ever had. Quality of the food is not at all worth the price. Never going back again.

Sanoj N.

Yelp
Pretty much all you are getting is rice and some lettuce. Paying $12 for that doesn't seem right. Meat portion has greatly reduced over time. They once used to be really good. Sadly it's all about making money now.

Amelia G.

Yelp
The food is soo good!! Loved the chicken plate, falafel and the rice!!! Will be ordering again~

Royce I.

Yelp
Ordered delivery through the Yelp App. The food arrived on time and was delicious. The dolmas were especially good. Would order again.

Brian H.

Yelp
So sad and upset. My son and I were so excited to eat the gyros and after waiting a while for food tonight what we each got was a giant lettuce sandwich. I've attached a pic of how little meat was actually on the gyros sandwich. They should be embarrassed. I would say the meat was quite flavorful but I feel like I've been robbed. We're now looking to see if there's anything else open... total waste of money.

John S.

Yelp
Man this is some tasty middle eastern food. The menu definitely has an authentic Arabic feel, too, unlike some others which have a more Americanized style to them (which is great too, but sometimes you want the original). We got a gyro sandwich, which was delicious, and the thing I really liked was that the meat was very juicy and moist, so even if you got only gyro meat and pita it would not be dry. The sauce was great too, and it had fresh cucumber. We also tried the saucy rice dish whose name I don't recall, and that one was pretty legit too, with basmati rice rice cooked to perfection. Awesome place, will be back

Sagar K.

Yelp
Amazing food , love their chicken . Would be nice to have a little bit more white sauce .

Becca F.

Yelp
The Good: this place definitely lived up to the Arabic food deliciousness taste. I ordered the chicken plate, good portion for the $9 price. Service was great and fast. The bad: being that it's located pretty much with in a bar I found that it was a little loud for a afternoon lunch. The music is not always playing but the few times it is just try not to sit next to the speaker.

Evelyn A.

Yelp
I bought a falafel wrap at this truck last night for around $8.50 while I was at Tiniest Bar. It was by far the worst falafel wrap I've ever had, and probably the most expensive. Imagine: half a head of iceberg lettuce exploding out of a too-small round of pita, topped with giant, acrid chunks of red onion and unpeeled cucumber. Some bland tomatoes and too much goopy, flavorless sauce are the finishing touches. Now, if only there was some falafel in it it would be perfect! Seriously, after 10 unsatisfying bites, I literally disassembled it over a trash can to try and find any falafel in it. There were 2 small patties of the driest, coarsest falafel I have ever tasted. I rarely waste food but this was close to inedible, so I pitched it in the bin. Save yourself the trouble and just to the nearby taco truck instead.

Zack E.

Yelp
I placed a to go order. The guy working there was pissed off for some reason, or a jerk. He said he didn't have enough fries, so I said I'd take a side of hummus with gyro wrap instead. Guy rolls his eyes and huffs. Get the order, and I get what looks like half order of fries, no hummus. Food was decent though.
