Austria Trend Hotel Bratislava

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel because we booked it on a cheap deal. It was very modern, light, spacious and clean. The rooms were really well kept with lovely bathroom suites and the breakfast offering was extensive. Breakfast consisted of a continental buffet with everything from fresh fruit, pastries, breads, hams, cheeses, pickles, vegetables, bacon, sausages and even an omelette station where the chef prepares it in front of you. We were given fresh towels each day and the staff were accommodating. The location of the hotel is great for the historic centre of Bratislava. It’s about 5 minutes walk to the main square and a 15-20 minute walk up to Bratislava Castle.

Good location, rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast provided by the hotel was good quality with plenty of variety on offer. The omelette cooked to order was a very nice touch. Five minutes walk from the old town. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by which offer good value for money. The hotel is only about ten minutes walk from train station.

Great hotel right in the centre of Bratislava so it's perfect if you're looking to explore the city. Driving in from the airport and parking at the hotel is easy enough and the parking prices are not too bad. The room I had was huge and pretty comfortable which was nice. The fitness suite and sauna feel tacked on to tick a box as it only has 3 cardio machines if my memory serves. This was a shame but not the worst. The breakfast was a decent spread and the staff are great. All in all a good place to stay.

Great location. Shops, bars and restaurants were well within walking distance. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the beds were comfy. A few areas for improvement: there wasn't any hot drink making facilities in the room and we didn't have an iron. Overall a great stay though!

Okay hotel. Price was very good, and it's located a short walk from downtown Bratislava. Plus tram access is right down the road. Room was clean, and shower was very nice. Negatives: Fridge did not work No ice machine means having to go to the bar which was very busy Hotel cleaning staff came into my room twice when I was sleeping. Once at 7:30am and then again at 8:00am.

Good hotel, but too many problems. Austria Trend hotell is well located a bright and modern hotell, with nice, professional and welcoming staff. Despite this we will choose another hotel next time in Bratislava. I will explain why. It started with the receptionist not finding us in their system. This is a detail, but the routines with big groups are not perfect. Eventually they solved the problem. Then 2 of 3 elevators was not working. The stairs are hidden and unavailable, so elevators was the only way to get to our room. With a full hotel this gave significant problems getting to our room. When we left after 3 night, still 1 of 3 elevators was not working. Arriving at our room we got a twin room, not a double room. This despite me calling the hotel two days earlier too make sure we got a double room. Even though they fixed this quickly, the small mistakes had cumulated. It took almost an hour to get to our right hotel room. This is too long. Then at 6 am. the loudspeaker started making noises. Without stairs I was afraid of fire. I called the reception that should look into it. After 15 minutes without feedback, I feared the hotel was on fire with malfuntioning fire-alarms and elevators and no stairs. Of course this was not the case. But with my experiences and no feedback, this was a possible scenario. When I called reception again, I was told the sound was in many rooms, and also in the reception. I was told that maintenance would arrive at 7, and that nothing could be done before that. So the sound was in our room for almost 1 hour of the night, and I could not sleep after that. So much for a good nights sleep! When the hotel fails at two of the essential points; check-in and sleep, it does not help that the breakfast is excellent, the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean.

Good rooms and handy location, just outside the old town. Everything was very walkable. The breakfast wasn't ideal, though: lots of uncovered buffet food attracting flies and if you wanted anything cooked, you had to ask for it and stand and watch while it was made. Too awkward for Brits, so we stuck to cereal!

Simple and clean. Good breakfast. All u need on a business trip. Rooms are comfortable with big modern bathrooms. How friendly the staff is depends a lot is on individuals. Had very friendly members but also quite impolite ones.
