The New Atlanta Restaurant Openings You Should Know About

"Any old, old ATLiens, who still remember when Red Lobster once sat on Campbellton Road, will rejoice in the return of another shrimp and sirloin meal to this southside neighborhood. The new establishment takes over the 6,000-square-foot Deja Vu Sports Bar and Lounge space." - juli horsford, jacinta howard

When driving in you’d think the place was closed. But when you come inside it’s a vibrant esthetic. The restaurant is beautiful. The color scheme is unique with green sofas and gold chairs. Even the dinnerware was gold. The hookah is perfect… we ordered cocktails which was tipsy juice. The food was scrumptious. We ordered the crab cake, shrimp, wings and the snapper. Everything was great. The chef is definitely cheffing! Our server was kind, checked on us often, and made sure we enjoyed our visit. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. It’s a whole vibe!

Beautiful space. But way too expensive and for no reason. I had to flag down a server after sitting for 15 minutes. I ordered the crab claws and one hookah. The bill was $75!!!!! I didn’t order any water or a drink because a guy bought my drink for me. The crab claws had NO seasoning at all. Just sweet snow crab claws drowning in butter and 4 pieces of mini toast. *MAJOR SIDE EYE* I will say the hookah was really good. But was it worth $40 ($25 + $15 to add more mint to the already premixed watermelon mint)?!? Hell no. I highly doubt I’d ever go back here.

Great food, great surface. Miss E took very good care of me and my daughter. And she made a great mocktail.

I give grace due to new management and understand it's takes awhile to get a spot running how you want it. The venue looks good inside and out. The drinks were okay, need a better variety; Hennessy, Patron Anejo etc. The service was great! A lot of good energy, people were friendly, therefore I will give it a second visit for sure. However the side of fries were too small even for happy hour and we were told two conflicting times for happy hour as we ordered drinks.

Okay, so let me start by saying I WANT THIS BUSINESS TO THRIVE and this is a LOVING critique. With that said, I was disappointed with the meal we got here. It was our anniversary and we figured we'd give this place a try, as we live a few blocks away. This location, which I knew as the clubs, Marko's and DejaVu , has been renovated and it is lovely, but rather dark. Venue is a great event space with two bars, stage and VIP areas. The food? While seasoned well (a bit heavy, but I liked it), I was bothered that we ordered a NY strip and a ribeye and it looks like I was given two skirt syeaks for a NY strip and not sure about the rib eye. You only get one side and the portions were small. The drinks? Weak. I had a margaritas with 1800 tequila. My husband wanted Barcardi light, they were out. They also were out of baked potatoes, so I got the broccoli. Nothing special. We spent about $120 for two and for that price, I expected at least Longhorn or Chili's kinda quality. It wasn't. The crab fingers? We've had them in Florida before and expected a platter of them for $20. We gor six claws that were basically stuffed and fried. Seasoning was stoke level HEAVY and I expected a bit more for the price. I MIGHT give them another try in the future, but was not impressed by our visit and disappointed our anniversary meal wasn't as special as I wanted it to be. No complaints on service. I need this establishment to do better; I was so excited to see it open.

Prices are ridiculous. I asked to add chicken to my $8 Ceasar Salad, not thinking that the price was going to be gauged. They charged me $16 to add boiled chicken to my salad! Plus the “service fee”, my chicken Caesar salad cost me $30 dollars. I know i will never come back here again!

On a Thursday, we made a reservation for a group of 12 people for that following Monday at 7:30p. We were told to call ahead of time to ensure our reservation was... secure, I guess. Monday comes, we call about our reservation all day long, no one answers the phone. Monday evening comes, we arrive at 7p. The parking lot was empty, save for one car. The venue is open. We find out the only staff there is a female bartender and the cook. She had been there since 11a, and no other staff came in. She was supposed to be relieved at 7p... but no one came. There was no owner and no manager on site. She also knew nothing about our reservation. Needles to say, we left and went elsewhere. The venue itself is beautiful, very posh. They did an amazing job renovating the space because it use to be a club. Idk what has happened internally, but they need to get it together.

Slow service, food undercooked, but the drinks were very good. One of the managers stated the establishment is under new management. The server's work attire was subpar. Rather than seafood and steak, it should be Tapas Bar. Nice people, though. The manager gave free drinks after we complained about the food.

Yelp
Umm....so, we went here last night after the Kiku Steakhouse party around 11pm....EMPTY! Parking lot had like 7 cars! SMH! Didn't go inside, but for a Saturday night, I'd expect at least a half a parking lot! And, I didnt wan't to get robbed either! I've heard some stories bout "Campbleton road,......In fact, the last party I went to on Campbellton Rd., a homegirl's car was broken in to! SMH! She had a nice truck too! Poor thing! ;-(
