"Outside the town centre of Saint Brieuc, Aux Pesked embarks you on a journey between land and sea. In an uncluttered interior bathed in light, this eatery celebrates seafood with its briny and veggie-focused cuisine. Local produce and seasonal ingredients are cherry-picked by the veteran chef, who is on first name basis with each market gardener and fisherman. On the menu: tartare of scallops enhanced by fresh herbs, raviole of tender juicy crabmeat in a fragrant stock or a festival of shellfish in a shellfish and seaweed butter jus. Now add an intelligently curated wine list (organic, biodynamic, Demeter) and Sophie Aumont’s slick, seamless service and you have the best of town and country with the bonus of a fantastic view over the lush green banks of the Gouët River." - Michelin Inspector

Lovely fish restaurant. Food was excellent, very fresh tasting and beautifully presented. Fantastic sunset view overlooking the valley. Cannot fault this experience.

Food great, well executed, excellent quality and absolutely stunning desert. Dishes arrived in a timely manner and were well presented but the service does feel robotic at times. When we went to pay, the lady at reception was quite condescending and rude, shame... At that price level, we would expect everything to be spotless.

We took the 3 seafood course menu with dessert. The mackerel/ tomato/ herb and the langoustine / carrot /lemon verbena dishes impressed. While my husband speaks French, I did not, so the explanation of dishes escaped me and so I missed a bit the full experience. That said, The food was wonderfully fresh and memorable, the service unhurried and professional, and the ambience quiet and calm.

Where to start? Despite telling the restaurant in advance that I wanted a vegetarian meal, they served an amuse bouche of seafood, something I never eat. There was acknowledgement that a 'mistake' had been made, but no replacement or apology. Then the starter arrived: a mix of tomatoes and strong-tasting fish! Although I do occasionally eat fish, this was inedible to me and I asked for it to be replaced. The replacement was a hastily thrown together and plonked down plate of raw tomatoes on a slice of toast. It was an entirely unacceptable dish to serve in a fine dining establishment and, frankly, the chef should be ashamed. Meanwhile, the staff exuded a sniffy arrogance throughout. The other dishes (and the wine) were very decent, yet were rarely exceptional, and the overall experience was a hugely disappointing one. Verdict: this restaurant in no way deserves a Michelin star.

Booked online for 02/07 at 8pm then I received a cancellation cos it says the restaurant is fully booked. So I booked another restaurant “La Croix Blanche” at the same date & time and I got it. I received a call today says I have booked for 7:45pm and I was already at the other restaurant because I thought my booking has been canceled (what I received on the email). The person was super rude ! Oh so you are not gonna come? I said no, She said “super”.. then *she hang up the call* rudely !! Mind your manner and please double check everything before calling ! I will never recommend this restaurant !

Once again had a lovely lunch and food was delicious. The menu du marché yet again provided a magnificent combination of fresh and exciting tastes all prepared to perfection. Sophie and Mathieu are excellent hosts and I would strongly recommend a visit.
