2 Days in Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion

"A thick A4 leather binder proudly lists over 1,800 wines from France and around the globe, including about 40 regularly changing choices by the glass, while Enomatic machines let you taste exactly what you want in 3, 6, or 12 centiliter pours." - The MICHELIN Guide

Called in here after dinner. An excellent spot to try many wine types. 40 varieties in self pour Machines. A good way to taste as you can select 3 size pours. We tried some wines that we would not otherwise had the chance to try. The food looked good but we had eaten. A nice roomy atmosphere with some comfortable chairs.

This was a gem of a place. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. It’s a great way to try local wines and maybe discover ones you wouldn’t have otherwise tasted. You spend as little or as much as you want, spend as much time or as little as you’d like. Great spot in Bordeaux, you must come here!

Google
Fantastic wine bar with an impressive and extensive wine list. You can order by the glass, which is perfect for trying different wines, or enjoy a bottle - which we happily did. The service was friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. The charcuterie board we had to accompany the wine was an excellent pairing. We loved the place so much that we went back a second time during our long weekend in Bordeaux. Highly recommended!

Google
This is honestly the coolest place in Bordeaux. We went back 3 times because of the outstanding wine list, great prices, and the food was excellent. If you want to go to a place in the city of Bordeaux as a wine lover, this must be at the top of your list! A must visit!

Google
Very fun way to do wine tasting. Lots of “vending machines” for various wines. You are given a card with credits that you use at the machine. The machines dispense 3 different volumes, one as a sip, one as a full glass and another in between the two. Small menu of tapas type foods that complement the wines well. The wine selection isn’t the best I’ve tried but nonetheless it was a lot of fun. Staff speak both French and English fluently.

Google
Great concept, ideal for wine enthusiasts who want to learn more about France wines. You get a card to try a sip, or get a glass. There’s more than 30 different wines to try by the glass. Reasonable prices.

Google
A really lovely place with a great atmosphere and attentive service. Everything is clearly explained, and the staff speak English very well, which makes the experience even smoother. You can either buy bottles directly or use a prepaid card for their wine dispensers – a fun and convenient way to taste different wines. The card can be topped up as you go, and in the end you only pay for what you’ve consumed. The selection is impressive, with an excellent variety of wines from France and many other regions around the world. A fantastic experience overall – I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
Myself and two friends had a terrific evening here. There is an excellent choice of wines, the food plates are good value and good quality and it has a chilled, relaxed vibe. The staff deserve a particular mention as they were charming and knowledgable. Keep up the good work!

Yelp
What a fantastic experience, getting to try to many incredible wines (some with some serious age!) in one evening. Pricing is reasonable for a heavy-hitter BTG program, and it's nice that they allow 3 different pour sizes, in case you want to try some special stuff without breaking the bank. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. Vibe was chaotic in a fun way, with people walking all over the place and chatting over some glasses of wine.

Yelp
It's a nice place to go to if you want to try many types of wine, and are not too picky about the selection. And don't care about learning about the types of wine you are drinking. All the information you will get is looking at the bottles through the machines. We were there on a Friday night, the place was upper busy, it was crowded and loud. Therefore, it lacked the elegance and sophistication we were hoping for. We got out of there as soon as we spent our preloaded amount.

Yelp
Best wine bar I've ever been to! You get a prepaid card that you can use to dispense wine at the different dispensers. They are organized by types of wines and you can get different sizes of pours depending on how much you want. Super fun and interactive wine tasting experience. Also all the servers are really helpful in guiding you and describing the different wines. Highly recommend!

Yelp
A very nice place to get some wine w friends ! The concept is interesting and convenient: you put some money on a card given by the staff, then you walk around and pick the wine you'd like to taste. Each wine is available in three different quantities (depending on if you want to a full glass or just a tasting quantity) In principle you don't need the staff to help you, since everything is automated: pick your wine, put the card in, push the button, that's it! :) The wine range is quite wide, w lots of choices coming from everywhere or almost! The staff can advise you and "tell the story of each wine". The food menu is limited but tasty!

Yelp
A nifty wine bar, operated by young friendly stuff. Charcuterie plate was large and tasty. The self-service wine filling machine - card operated - is efficient and nice. However, few of the wines are local - off as this bar is in Bordeux?! Why would anybody look to drink a Chilean wine on Bordeaux? I have no idea ... Anyhow, this is a nice and friendly place to enjoy a couple of wine glasses, accompanied by light cold food.

Yelp
This is a great concept. Self serve wine that is metered out by a machine that debits your "bar card". Put 30 euros on the card and start sampling. You can choose a taste, a small glass, or full serving and each wine can be individually priced. A fun way to taste your way through Bordeaux.

Yelp
Au Quatre Coins Du Vin is sooo much fun for a wine tasting enthusiast like me. You go to the bar, purchase a pre-loaded card, and use it to get tastes, 1/2 glasses, or full glasses of various wines. And there are SO MANY WINES to choose from. They have local, they have Bourgogne, they have Argentina, they have Zweigelt, they have everything. And it's such a huge variety of prices. You can pay €1,50 for a sip of 2013 Bordeaux, or you can pay €15 for a sip of a serious Bordeaux. They have all ends of the spectrum covered. The bartender was really sweet too. It must become so tedious explaining the system over and over to clients, but she was extremely patient and good-natured. In addition to our tastes, we ordered a smoked salmon/cream cheese tartine. After tasting a few whites, I knew it would match with a particular dry minerally wine from Graves, the two combined, and I was in pairing heaven.

Yelp
This is the perfect wine bar. Relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff (who on two occasions put money back on my card when the bottles ran out) and a great selection of wines. Not to mention there were some in every price range. This is a great spot to try out a few with friends.

Yelp
Great wine bar with a selection of wines you won't find elsewhere. Wines on tap along with bottle selection.

Yelp
This place was packed with every seat reserved so make reservations. There are about forty wines on preservation with mostly Bordeaux. So it's a good way to get a feel for what you like. I only would have wished for labels explaining the grapes in each blend or that the waiter could have come by to answer questions. But the wine was great and the plates were delicious.

Yelp
Enjoyable venue with a simple concept. You get a card and are set free to choose between a satisfying range of wines. The atmosphere is vibing and suiting. The food platters were tasty but nothing above average, and we did face a couple of technical faults (ie: card had to be changed and some machines kept messing up). Other than that, it was a great experience and definitely something that offers something unique in Bordeaux.

Yelp

Yelp
The wine selection was great and so was the service! The cheese & veggie plates were good overall.

Yelp
Amazing!!! Über nice staff and amazing wines! Get the chocolate and cheese plate. It will blow your mind. Delish!
