As our son was visiting us, we decided to have a go and try 'Aux Terrasses' located in Tournus. I must admit, this one is special... From all the experience I gather with gastronomic restaurants around the world, this one has a special 'touch' I'm not telling you that because of the Michelin Stars, but the chef, Jean-Michel, is inviting you to share is vision of a world of taste... I feel the great amount of passion behind each dishes, always trying to extract the flavours of a local ingredient and combine all of them in a great explosion of taste. Definitively a place to try if you're around, I highly recommend it. Thanks again for the warm welcome from Jean-Michel and his wife, we'll come back to see you!

Where ever you are in Tournus, you are close to Aux Terrasses. We made reservations for dinner and had a wonderful time. The guide lists the food as 'creative' and that it was. So many great flavors, packed in the most delicate, unusual, artistic way. The staff was fantastic, with helpful explanations of all the servings and prompt attention to anything we needed.

Food is simply EXQUISITE, service is very good and they spoke excellent English. Great price for the lunch surprise menu! With all that being said, the only critic would be the choice of the background music. For such excellence choice of ingredients, decoration, furniture and utensils, I honestly think that pop music doesn't match the finesse of the restaurant. Either than that, was a wonderful experience!

We did not stay at the hotel (although the hotel looked great), but we had a FANTASTIC 6 course lunch tasting menu with wine pairing + Cheese cart (wonderful selection). Chef Jean-Michel and his team executed with perfection. Amazing dishes, flavors, service, and decor. It is worthy of it's Michelin Star. We look forward to returning the next time we are in the Burgundy/Rhone region. Highly recommend!

A very good hotel, professionally run. Although my room was very small, the stay of one night only made this no particular difficulty.||The highpoint of the hotel was the restaurant. My friends and I chose what seemed an expensive fixed price menu at €85. This, however, was a quite exceptional meal of several amuse bouche courses to begin, six main courses and, finally, several wind down delights. The value for money ratio was therefore excellent.||Congratulations to the kitchen. This place deserves more than one star.

Lovely modern hotel. Views not great. Staff very helpful especially re bikes. Great restaurant- we had the six course tasting menu which was fantastic. Some v expensive wines but a few cheaper ones for people like us who don't want to spend hundreds of euros on wine. Some lovely tasteful items around the hotel that are also on sale in their shop across the road.|
