It is really special. The staff are very attentive and helpful with and dietary concerns. Many options are special and unique. Everything was tasty, healthy, and carefully put together with attention to detail! So delicious.

Such a vibe! The atmosphere was incredible—modern Kazakh seating blended beautifully with traditional decor, creating a truly authentic vibe. We absolutely loved every moment of it! As someone who grew up in Kazakhstan, it was special to share this place with my husband and two kids visiting from the U.S. Honestly, we could have eaten and then just taken a cozy nap right there—it was that welcoming. The music was magical—enchanting and perfectly suited to the ambiance of the restaurant. The staff were attentive, friendly, and spoke great English, which made it easy to understand the dishes and their origins. The food was outstanding! We started with the green salad and tomato salad, then moved on to dumplings, both kinds of noodles, and kebabs—lamb and beef. The Uzbek pilaf was a highlight, and we paired it all with a local Kazakh beer specially made for this restaurant. We ended the meal with a pot of green tea. Hands down, this is our favorite restaurant in Almaty so far. The authenticity and warmth really stood out. We’ll definitely be back! And loved that my kids were able to swing under the yurt like tent outside.

One of the best restaurants Ive been in Almaty! Love this place so much! The food and the views are fantastic. The services are incredibly nice. One of the staff told us about Kazakh cultures too. This is a must visit place - suitable for family and friends. Recommend to get a reservation in advance.

I really loved this place. The interior is beautiful—warm, earthy, and thoughtfully designed with traditional Kazakh elements. It’s cozy but still feels a bit special, like somewhere you’d want to take friends or family visiting from abroad. Each little detail is thought out. The service was honestly one of the highlights. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they care about creating a good experience without being too formal. Overall, it felt like a perfect mix of tradition, comfort, and hospitality. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town

Great restaurant with the beautiful mountain view. We had a lunch there during Navruz holiday. The atmosphere was great and welcoming. Outside of the restaurant they were serving local soup, which was great compliment to the whole experience we had. The waiter was really attentive and spoke good english. He gave us good recommendations of the traditional dishes . The lunch began with the complimentary baursak. After we had horse meat tartar, which had an interesting unique taste. For the mains we selected lamb and horse meat as well. It was also good. Fermented horse milk was a bit salty for my taste. 4 teas dessert was delicious. Overall we had great experience. Highly recommended making a prior reservation via abr+

The place is absolutely wonderful, the food is delicious, and the seating is lovely and comfortable. Just a small note: it would be even better if the music volume was slightly lower, as we had to raise our voices to hear each other. The staff are extremely polite and respectful—truly kind people in every sense. We really enjoyed our breakfast at the restaurant.

Auyl is a stunning restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. Horse meat was something I had never tried prior to my trip in Almaty, and never thought i would love it. Meat was perfectly prepared. Definitely a place not to miss when in town.

The place is great, tucked away in the mountains. The service is outstanding, our server Borter was so courteous and introduced every dish with great detail. The food is so interesting, especially if you’re someone coming from a western country, and used to the western fine dining, you will find quite a few dishes very exciting, and not at all how you expect it to taste by just looking at it. For desert, try the four texture of tea. I’m not sure whether it’s expensive or cheap, I think it’s good, for $100USD you can expect 2 people to be quite full and satisfied.
