AVA Rooftop Bar

This is a really nice rooftop bar. I’ve been twice, once for the holiday pop up and once just on a regular night. The cocktails are good and priced around 15$ generally. The Christmas pop up was so cute! Lots of decorations and igloos. They had blankets at all the seats and it was super cozy. We did not have a reservation because it was a Sunday, so we walked up and payed the cover. Overall it was pricey with the cost of drinks and the cover, but it’s a special event so I wasn’t too shocked. Overall a really nice space!

Loved the environment! Was there for a day party. Definitely a vibe and I look forward to going back!

We recently hosted our client appreciation event at AVA Rooftop, and it was absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, with stunning views that created the perfect backdrop for the evening. The staff was incredibly attentive and professional, ensuring every detail was flawless from start to finish. Our guests raved about the delicious food, creative cocktails, and overall experience. AVA Rooftop provided the ideal setting to connect with our clients and show our appreciation in style. Highly recommend for any special event or a memorable night out! Ava has a great atmosphere. It’s a rooftop bar, so of course the vibe is pretty neat. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The drinks were tiny, overpriced, and made incorrectly. One of the bartenders couldn’t even find one of the liquors listed in the drink and ended up just giving up and adding more ice instead. It was honestly kind of ridiculous. It's a cool concept, especially being in Cary where there aren’t many rooftop options, but the execution just isn’t there. Between the poor drink quality and the high prices, it's hard to justify going back. Great setting, but they really need to step up the service and consistency. Would not recommend as it stands.

I have to leave a review for Donovan../he is by far THE best bartender ever! He was very attentive, professional, and a smile that is contagious! Great hire! Also want to give kudos to Davin and the other security guard that was with him…top notch!!!! Excellent establishment Ava!

I recently visited AVA Rooftop Bar with a group of friends for the first time, and we had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. We enjoyed the VIP lounge, complete with champagne and an incredible selection of drinks to choose from. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a night out. Special thanks to Chyanna and Danielle, our amazing waitresses, who made our evening even more memorable with their attentive and friendly service. Can't wait to go back again soon! 🍸🍹🍾

I had an amazing time at AVA! The vibe is super stylish and the drinks are fantastic. A special shoutout to Chyanna and Danielle—these bottle girls really made the night unforgettable with their energy and top-notch service. If you’re heading to AVA, definitely go for the VIP package. It’s totally worth it for the extra perks such as private seating, and on top of that, the personal touch of getting to know your bartenders!

First off I want to admit my fault in the awful experience I had. I was expecting to have dinner and drinks but this is definitely a bar with "upscale" bar food. The concept is nice on paper but the vision is poor executed. Before I get into the drawbacks I hit a few highlights first. #1 parking is a breeze and the area of town is nice. #2 the atmosphere is nice a quite for a bar. #3 our waitress was pleasant. Now for the cons. #1 signage is poor and it was difficult to figure out where to enter the building. You go through another bar downstairs and take an elevator which is more like a service elevator because it took forever and when it did finally come their were two employees on it with a huge trash bin. Luckily the bin was empty or we sure would have left right away. #2 there was no one at the host area to greet us and it was very stuffy #3 the seat can't be to code all the tablets were super low and where we sat felt like being sat at the kid's table at the family gathering. I'm 5'7 and the table was resting on my legs. #4 the drinks were blah, flavorless and too sugary #5 the food was blah as well the grilled pita was cold and the $19 dollar lamb sausage kabob plate was nothing special but I did like the cauliflower tabbouleh #5 there is an area that is still under construction but it is not sectioned off at all Overall this was a horrible first impressions and I will likely not return unless it's a private event with outside catering options.

Great experience. My bartender was Donovan and he was focused on serving us top notch spirits. I wanted an espresso martini and he made it clear that he did not have all of the ingredients to make the drink but he could get a nice mix and get really close. I really appreciated the transparency and let him create a coffee shot instead for me. Fantastic taste and better than what I was served downstairs at S&S. Highly recommend.

Came to visit my family in nearby Raleigh and my cousins decided to take us out. I live near the Battery in Atlanta where the braves play and they mentioned a similar concept was in nearby Cary, NC. Once I found out they had rooftops and sport and social, I was all in and excited to hangout with my cousins. The bartenders and host were great and the rooftop was spacious yet not too crowded. This is definitely a spot for weekend turn-up.

The server was nice but everything was stupidly over priced and $5 just to get in to the bar is ridiculous, we waited over 30 minutes for s'mores...which was a board of the most basic s'mores. For $25!!!! The decorations were not even over the top to require a fee to get in to the place. And there was lipstick on our drink cup from a previous customer SO GROSS

Place is beautiful , lacking direction. & nothing on the buffet was hot ! Big disappointment. Should not be doing anymore brunches !$ is not worth .

My friend group and I attended Ava's winter wonderland themed event Saturday November 16th and the service and food was abysmal. Our server, a young man who I believe was named Drew, made his job our problem the whole night. He reminded us constantly throughout the meal while we waited 15-20 minutes wait times for food and drink that he had been "quadruple sat" and how busy the bar was yet to my eyes the place was empty. I had a friend at the table with a gluten allergy who had questions about the menu and Drew seemed to know nothing our friend could eat and didn't offer to educate himself and find out. He seemed uneducated about the menu entirely from drinks to food. Our drinks looked as though they had been sitting out on someone else's dirty table, ice melted and watered down. Drew hovered over us as we paid out and made it very uncomfortable to tip. In the end an order of cold meatballs, a watered down old fashioned and subpar service came to almost $55. The food was cold and had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for a while by the time we got it. Either new staff needs to be hired on or the staff you have needs better training.

My favorite rooftop bar in the RDU! Drinks and service are always top notch--I came for the first time last summer and was so happy to hear they'd reopened for the spring and summer

This spot is on the 4th floor, above Sports & Social and PBR. The rooftop ambience is awesome. Adding this destination on to visiting all the floors would be my recommendation. As a stand alone, the rooftop bar lacks menu options and good drinks. Service is friendly and the bar is slow. Mixed drinks seemed lacking of flavor for their price point. Overall, I would go again if I am with a group of friends visiting the building. Not sure I would go for an intimate evening. 21+

This spot is incredible! A couple friends and I stopped by on a Sunday for some mimosas and they were incredible! It is a little warm in the sun, so I definitely recommend going when the weather is cooler. The ambiance is adorable and the service was spectacular! We got mimosa flights and each one was delicious. Definitely recommend checking out their daily deals, they have some great ones! 9/10!!

As my last stop before heading home, I decided to check out Ava. The location is extremely convenient for me. There is plenty of parking here that's effortless. Ava is only accessible through Sports & Social and it's on the third floor. Once off the elevator, there was a hostess to my left. The hostess immediately acknowledged all who entered and exited. I love what they're doing here at Ava. Not the best view. I think the apartments shouldn't be my view when looking around. Besides that, Ava is nice and clean. There wasn't a struggle to get the bartender's attention. I had a Gin Martini for $24. I thought the price was a bit higher than what I'm used to. Since I'm not a heavy drinker the price was doable. I also found that there were mostly professional adults in this space if this helps. I do recommend this as a decent nightcap or end-of-week relaxing space to call it a night before heading home. I would consider it in the future.

Definitely a vibe! This spot is 100% geared towards adults who want a more lively night out, they don't even let children in. Which, even though I have a young child, it is kind of refreshing and I'm here for it. It is a great spot to grab a drink when the weather is nice, but it does get loud. So not ideal if you are really trying to have a convo. We kept having to hunt our server down and had to wait an incredibly long time to order any food or get another drink. The food options are limited so this is more of a spot to grab a drink and app before you head out. Could have just been an off night service wise. This place is a bit tricky to find. You literally walk through the downstairs restaurant, Sports and Social, to the back deck of elevators and head to the roof. Parking is easy at Fenton though, always plenty of spots to be had.

Checked AVA out for the first time last weekend. Chill place, nice atmosphere in Fenton and Donovan was awesome. His drinks were great but his service was even better. We had such a blast we came back last night. It was packed but Donovan again took exceptional care of us, we will definitely be back again.

When the weather is nice this is the perfect place to hang out. Very relaxed vibe and great cocktails. I had the Aqua de Valencia. Mediterranean tapas are delicious, too!

Where do I start? SUCH a full vibe with the igloos. They provided blankets a we dressed warmly and it was perfect! The holiday cocktails are very well done and they set the tone for the evening. Service was attentive and very friendly. I brought my colleagues here for a special night out and it certainly was more than I could have hoped. Great use of rooftop space during the winter time. Will definitely be going back!

Olivia was fantastic! Very attentive and pleasant. She always had her eyes on the tables to make sure we were taken care of.

Brenna was an amazing server, she was friendly, engaging and quick. The atmosphere was great for our first time!

This place is the biggest letdown of the year. The service was laughable. The food was mid, at best. The drinks were another joke. I wanted to spend money, have a few drinks, and have a good time; however, the place was a train wreck. It will be a triumph if they are in business in three months. What a shameful and disappointing display of a restaurant. The good news is that it is in Fenton and there are a multitude of other restaurants within walking distance.

This place is awesome. The Christmas decorations are amazing. Bring friends to see the wonderland

Have tried Ava twice now. Drinks have been terrible. Had to pay a ten dollar cover to get in to PBR and then five dollars into Ava when we were told the cover would include Ava . The igloo are not heated and freezing this time of year. Overall would not come back

First time visiting this new rooftop bar to the Cary area. And the ambiance is very cool and trendy would be awesome for a date night or a spot to hangout after work. The only downside for me is there is not any type of overhead covering, luckily the DJ did have an awning over him. So if you're looking to try this on an NC summer day I would say wait until the sun go down or prepare to wait until a seat at the bar is free. I didn't try the food so that's why I gave it 3 stars. But the food was delivered covered to those that did.

Went with my bestie last night and we loved Ava! Super attentive, kind staff and fun summer drinks. We loved our charcuterie board too. The view is awesome and we'll def be back! The only thing is it feels like the music is trying to be more of a club party scene, whereas most people there were late 20's and up just trying to have a casual drink with friends in a Wednesday night, some lower key music might fit the vibe more. But who knows!

I attended as part of an offline event. One of waitstaff took my ice without asking was it empty and that was a bit off putting. It seemed aside from WONDERFUL bartenders and wait staff one seemed disinterested in communicating which may just be nerves but wasn't exactly inviting. I only got to taste the shrimp despite multiple other apps flowing around. The shrimp was fresh and good. The appetizer table had pita crackers, cauliflower tabouli, veggies, hummus, baba ganoush, whipped labneh and mezeh. I tasted all except the tabouli as I knew I didn't like that. The whipped labneh tasted like a whipped cream cheese hummus. It was sooo yummy and the other dips were very enjoyable. The alcohol seemed watered down in the comp'd drinks versus ordered drinks. I would love to come back and try more dishes and drinks again. Very grammable, TikTok, social media pictures friendly. Love the rooftop vibe and the pretty lights. I will say the turf may be a bit unbalanced in some spots. Overall a very enjoyable experience and will be happy to come back to the lovely Fenton and here again as it's more of a grown and chill version of downtown Raleigh. This area will be a summer frequent.

First time visiting Ava & cannot say enough great things about our waiter, Drew. He was so attentive & knowledgeable that we'll definitely be sure to return!!

Came here for a brunch drink for the first time and really love the space but ugh the music :( The music is like you are either exercising at planet fitness or you are at a rave. Every song sounds exactly the same with a very loud beat. Does not go with the ambience whatsoever. Sorry, but we will not return. The music actually feels evil and numbs you, we hate it, other patrons at the bar were feeling the same.

Kylee the bartender is awesome!!!! She is exceptionally skilled at creating a comfortable and fun atmosphere prior to serving a premium drink.

Wish I could give this business zero stars. Was really excited to try this business but let's just say they either don't want the business or it's just poorly managed. Tried to make reservations online but was told no reservations before 9. When we arrived at 6:30 we were promptly seated by the hostess. Waitress comes over and tells us that first there are only two bartenders so it'll be awhile before we can get any drinks and that we will need to be finished and "gone" by 8?? Asked why is that and we were told because they have a private event in the space at 8:30 and they do not want to clean this area. If we wanted to eat we had to go to the other side of the restaurant, which we were fine with. She then returns and said that the three tables there are all reserved, how are they reserved when you don't take reservations. Poor communication at this place, we ended up leaving and finding another restaurant in the area. Had high hopes but won't be returning here.

I had high expectations based on how much it was hyped up. It is a beautiful space & very instagramable. I had the margarita and really enjoyed it, but that was the highlight of my visit. I went with three girlfriends on a Thursday night. There was a yoga class happening on one side & it was distracting to say the least. Between that & the loud music we were barely able to have conversations. We ordered the mezze platter and the dips. The mezze platter took over an hour to be brought out to us & the dips never came. We would order our next drink when one was delivered because it took awhile to get them. We decided to get a bottle of Rose and we're given a lukewarm bottle, twice. Our waitress was nice, but it was clear she was pulled thin. I think there were only 2 waitresses for the whole roof. I'm hoping these issues are just an opening week thing while they get their footing. Between the four of us we spent over $225 & it was not worth it.

Met a few friends on Saturday afternoon and had a really good time. Great atmosphere, service, and food. The service was top notch!! We ordered several rounds of drinks and tried all of the skewer options. All were delicious. Has a New York or Miami rooftop vibe. Highly recommend

I love a good rooftop bar and I really wanted to love Ava, but the drinks were not good. My friends drinks were all extremely bitter and we had to ask for simple syrup just to make them somewhat palatable. Also, my French 75 was served at room temperature. I hope they step up their cocktail game because the ambiance was cool!

Ray was awesome!! So attentive and made the night so fun for my sister's bachelorette!

The service was top tier for my friend's birthday celebration last weekend and Autumn & Abby were extraordinary and accommodating. 10 out of 10 recommend. Will be back very soon!

Buyers beware! A small old fashioned served in a plastic glass cost $27.75. Two servers walked right by our table, congregated at the entrance, and never asked us if we wanted to place an order.

My experience at Ava was great! The atmosphere and view were incredible. Marissa was our bartender and she recommended my boyfriend and I the Ava Margarita and we absolutely loved it. She was super attentive and I will be returning.

Went on Sunday, atmosphere and service were great. Drinks were a bit expensive, but Marissa had some good recommendations. Will definitely come back!
