We visited the skating rink with the kids, and going around 10 a.m. was great because it wasn’t too crowded. We’re planning to go again before winter ends.

8/8 - 8/10 - this is a hidden gem in Alpharetta. We were staying the weekend at hotel Avalon, and enjoyed all the ambiance, concert, great staff, area workers, friendly patrons/guest/travelers, etc. Parking and walk if you're in the area and enjoy. There's ample parking, food, fun, and so much more.

This is a nice, walkable outdoor shopping mall that’s easy to navigate and not overwhelmingly large. Parking is convenient, though it does get very crowded on weekends. I gave it 4 stars because, while it has a pleasant atmosphere, the restaurants are quite overpriced, and most of the stores are luxury brands, limiting the options a bit. I also only noticed one public restroom available.

This is a very nice upscale outdoor mall with a nice variety of stores and restaurants. Some restaurants offer outdoor seating but the mall has several nice areas to lounge. There is much to do including a skating rink. There's something for everyone. We did a little shopping and alot of eating and then some sitting around. We didnt experience any parking issues once we found the lot. We visited on a Saturday morning and stayed until dark. It's an easy going place but it gets more busy later in the day when the younger crowd comes out.

Avalon is one of the best shopping and lifestyle destinations in the area! The open-air design, upscale stores, and beautiful ambiance make it a great place to shop, dine, and relax. There’s a great mix of high-end and popular brands, and the restaurants are fantastic—from casual bites to fine dining. The outdoor seating areas, green spaces, and seasonal events create a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Pro Tip: Parking can get crowded on weekends, so arrive early or use valet. Highly recommend visiting for a great shopping and dining experience! 🛍️🍽️✨

So clean, aesthetic and pretty! I went to the Altar'd State, Free People, and True Food Kitchen for my birthday and it was great. Hint hint....the Altar'd State has a great clearance section!!!

Nice, clean shopping center with some cafes and mostly high-end stores and trendy names. There is plenty of outdoor seating in the sun and shade for eating or sitting.

It is very well-kept in that the sidewalks and area is kept clean and well-maintained. Depending on the season they host different events. For example, since Christmas is coming up soon they’ll be converting the green area near the fountain to an ice skating rink. They set up pretty lights as well as festive Christmas decorations. The only thing that can be a struggle sometimes is parking- they have a main parking deck as well as metered street parking and lots in front of some of the stores (like ARHAUS). During busy seasons or nights it can sometimes be difficult to find a spot.

Nice outdoor shopping mall, movie theater with play area for kids and a seasonal mini skating rink. Came by on a Sunday afternoon a couple weeks ago to check out the seasonal activities and walk around. Parking is available on the street (if you can find a spot), and free in a structure. The buildings all look very new and in good shape. A few dozen retail stores run along a 4-5 block stretch, a lot of normal mall staples, a handful of local shops interspersed in the mix. To me it felt like a mish mosh of retail, one to three stores catering to clientele looking for specific categories or items, for example 2-3 home goods stores, 2-3 tech stores, 1-2 luxury stores, 2-3 sportswear stores etc. The selection felt not broad enough to be a destination for gifts or shopping for a specific item, unless you were looking to pick up a certain item from a particular store. (It could also be my skewed perception bc I wasn't feeling great in the cold weather when walking around outside.) There's a movie theater and more than a dozen restaurants and smaller food/drink purveyors. I heard Antica has good pizza though didn't try it personally. We ate at Superica and it was decent. A few different cafes and coffee/tea spots too. Public restrooms available.

Loaded with stores and diners. Avalon is a place that makes you feel as though you were on Rodeo Drive. Included a few photos of the trip. The stores greet you as you walk in. The variety and selection of top shelf stores is amazing. Understand that most shops are upscale so the prices will represent that Atlanta shopping experience.

Cool events at Avalon and shops, restaurants, movie theater, always something going on! Avalon is upscale and a great place to shop or enjoy a free event! They have free concerts and today a free fancy upscale car show! Highly recommend you checking out their event calendar!

All the top end stores and wonderful restaurants to visit. It's great. I have been a huge fan since we moved here to GA Iii 2016. It's busy and sometimes hard to find a parking spot but it's very much worth it. It's a mixed use location, housing, shopping, dining etc. go check it out. You will wish you lived there.

I loved my brief visit here. Unfortunately, it was raining so I didn't get the full experience. I will say, I saw many high end stores and some restaurants I want to return to check out! I like that there is a covered parking deck. We came here to go to one store but I'm already looking forward to returning soon!

I love hanging my GrandBlessing & bringing her to window shop...she has a ball as well. A welcoming & fancy curated outdoor retail space. A plethora of one-stop shopping for accessories, beauty, clothing, home goods, textiles & dining. There's a Regal movie theater on the premises as well. Office spaces, family residences & luxury rental homes on the non-retail side. Public parking in various lots, Valet & security personnel constantly walking around. I've inadvertently replaced North Point Mall with the Avalon.

Great place for shopping, eating, watching movies and hanging out. They have summer concerts and winter ice skating. There's also a Whole Foods, hotel and spa. A great place to enjoy family or self time

It was freezing cold but the people came out, in droves, for the lighting of the Tree. So much so that there was zero parking... we took an Uber... but the lines to get in here were crazy! Once we were in we staked out our spot and waited about 50 mins for the ceremony. There were some great people, there were some very rude people and there were some straight out a*******! No surprise with a big crowd but just disappointing. I mean this is really about the kids... not the adults and for adults to act like they acted and make it about them is just flat out stupid. There were a couple of "food &drink" trucks and the restaurants were open, but everything had long lines due to all the people. The ceremony was good, live music, lots of building up, an appearance by Santa, and then the big lighting of the tree. I am glad we came... it was darn cold! But over all it was a nice time for our whole family.

I've never thought to do a review of Avalon as a whole until last night. To me, Avalon was just a place where I went to visit other places that I DID do reviews on... but my son and I attended an evening event, I think it was called "All In"... and it was a theme-based event where we were all invited to dress up in our favorite 1920s outfits! I'm typically not one to spend money on an adult costume, but as a former poker player, the idea intrigued me. My son wanted to dress up in a suit too, so we bought the tickets and prepared for 'who knows what'... Let me tell you though, the amount we paid for tickets, at first seemed a bit pricey to me... but once we got there, and realized all food, all DRINKS, and all the entertainment (full casino table games with professional-like dealers) was absolutely incredible. At the end of the night, we exchanged our chips (fake money) for entry tickets for raffles, and OMG, we WON!! There were three prizes, and my son won the food package, Thanks to Superica, The Cape, and Oak Steakhouse for your donation... we'll be seeing each of you soon! As for all the rest of the time, when Avalon isn't having a grand event... they're "just" the best place in the area for us to enjoy dinner, movie, some drinks, and get in some steps... all the while, feeling safe and secure with a constant security presence. Avalon does it ALL ... and they do it great!

As a homeowner and resident in Atlantic Station since 2005, I view Avalon as the Atlantic Station of Alpharetta (or the Atlantic Station of the north Atlanta suburbs). They're both large mixed-use developments with housing, offices, shops, restaurants, green/event spaces, movie theater (both Regal), grocery store, concierge, holiday ice skating rink, and hotel. It's no coincidence the two developments share many similarities because Avalon was developed at the same time Atlantic Station was being renovated by the same developer, North American Properties. What are the differences? Avalon is newer. Avalon opened in 2014 and Atlantic Station opened in 2005. Avalon was wholly developed by North American Properties. Atlantic Station was originally developed by The Jacoby Group (Jim Jacoby) and AIG, then sold to North American Properties at the end of 2010 after the Great Recession. Another difference is Avalon is more upscale, targeted towards an older, wealthier, suburban demographic. Atlantic Station caters to a younger, more diverse, urban demographic. North American Properties has since sold both Avalon and Atlantic Station. Avalon was sold to PGIM Real Estate in 2016. Atlantic Station was sold to Hines in 2015. In these two cases, it appears North American Properties was in the business of developing/renovating and flipping. Under new ownership, the properties have gone their separate ways with Hines doing a second set of major renovations to Atlantic Station's retail district and central park area plus the construction/completion of several new homes, office buildings, and other facilities. The latter includes T3 West Midtown, home of Facebook's Atlanta offices, two Microsoft buildings, an Embassy Suites (second hotel), Atlantic Stacks (more townhomes), and a 103,000-square-foot arena for the Overtime Elite pro basketball league. Avalon is a solid 30-plus-minute drive from Atlanta. It was intended for those in the north metro suburbs, especially Roswell and Johns Creek, and to a lesser extent, Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, East Cobb, and Peachtree Corners. Living in the city, I don't have a reason to go to Avalon unless I'm going for a special event or someone wants to get lunch/dinner at an Avalon restaurant. In other words, there's no shop, restaurant, nor other business at Avalon that's worth going out of my way for. Examples of special events I've attended at Avalon include a walking tour in October 2014 when the property was still under construction (https://www.yelp.com/biz/cmye-elite-special-avalon-hard-hat-walking-tours-alpharetta), a Salud! Cooking School class inside Avalon's Whole Foods Market in March 2018 (https://www.yelp.com/biz/salud-cooking-school-alpharetta), and Yelp's Aloha Summer Luau at The Hotel at Avalon in August 2018 (https://www.yelp.com/biz/yelps-aloha-summer-luau-alpharetta). I think Avalon is great for the area. I'm not too familiar with Alpharetta and the immediate surrounding area, especially north, but I don't believe there was anything like Avalon in the vicinity before 2014. Another mixed-use development, Halcyon, opened about six miles away in September 2019. Halcyon is like the Avalon for folks who live north of Avalon, towards Cumming. It's my understanding that Avalon took business away from Alpharetta's North Point Mall, a traditional indoor shopping mall. For example, the Crate and Barrel that used to be near North Point Mall closed and moved to Avalon. Maybe Halcyon will have a similar effect on The Collection at Forsyth, an older, outdoor mall. Then again, metro Atlanta continues, as always, to grow so perhaps there will be enough population to sustain all the businesses at these developments. Like any metro Atlanta mixed-use development or food court/food hall that has opened in the last 10 years (e.g. Ponce City Market, Krog Street Market, The Battery, Marietta Square Market, The Collective Food Hall at Coda), both Avalon and Halcyon have brought local Atlanta brand names, in terms of restaurants and restaurant owners/chefs, to Alpharetta. Examples include Antico Pizza and Caffe Antico from chef/owner Giovanni Di Palma, Bocado Burger, once associated with The General Muir chef/owner Todd Ginsberg, District III Vietnamese restaurant and MF Bar from the Kinjo brothers of MF Sushi, South City Kitchen from Fifth Group Restaurants, and Superica from chef/owner Ford Fry. Several of these same restaurant owners/investors also have stakes in the aforementioned other developments. Other local restaurants that have opened locations at Avalon include Cafe Intermezzo, Farm to Ladle, gusto!, and Rumi's Kitchen. It's a solid lineup. I also have to mention Italian restaurant Colletta and Oak Steakhouse, both owned and operated by Charleston-based Indigo Road Hospitality Group. I've been to both and if there are any restaurants at Avalon that are worth going out of your way for, it's Colletta and Oak Steakhouse. Both have great food, ambiance, and service.

When the Avalon first opened back in 2014, I was so happy to see it. Finally an upscale shopping area in the North Fulton area! Alpharetta is definitely one of the wealthier areas and the introduction to the Avalon was a great addition to the area! They have everything from shopping, dining, drinking and even movies. In the winter, you'll be able to partake in holiday festivities or even ice skate. There's really just something to do here all the time, and even if you're not shopping, the vibes and ambiance of this place is amazing. There aren't a ton of shops, but what really makes this place stand out is that it's a true hangout place. You can just walk around and still have a grand time. Some notable shopping places are... - Urban Outfitters - Gap - Anthropologie - Nike - Apple - Banana Republic - Vineyard Vines They also have a Starbucks, Antico's Pizza, gusto!, Jeni's Ice Cream and some other great eateries worth checking out. I love the Avalon and when I lived in Lawrenceville, I would drive 30+ minutes just to come here because I love this place so much. Do I wish there were some more shops? Yes, but there is always new things coming in and that always gets me excited.

Loved the Avalon and the various sitting area to Sit and chat. My friend and I had a lot of catching up to do so the various area were appreciated. We really enjoyed sitting a the fire pit by Jennis Ice cream and area right next to Oak Steak House. Sitting had been arranged with social distancing in mind!!!!

I enjoy visiting Avalon when I'm in the Alpharetta area. I enjoy strolling along and browsing the shops & boutiques. When it's hot outside I love going to Jeni's Splendid Ice creams and for Happy Hour my go to place has been Kona Grill. I love the outdoor seating when the weather is nice, the varied menu options from Sushi, to burgers and fun appetizers to the various cocktails...I always enjoy myself when I visit. I'm not fan of the parking. It's horrible unless you go at an off peak time. They do have a parking garage on-site FYI There are a wide variety of eateries, coffee shops ect. It's a nice area and I would return.

If you are looking to eat, shop, or be entertained you have come to the right place. There is definitely something here for everyone. You can but your clothes, your food, and even your furniture. Definitely gives meaning to the phrase, "one stop shopping". It is also a fantastic place to people watch. And there are so many places to sit outside and do just that. The only thing bad I can say about the place is how crowded it gets and how hard it is sometimes to find a parking place. I saw many cars circling the parking lot coming up empty. But once you do find your parking place, you will love it here.

Hip shopping center with some nice new ventures. Cafe Intermezzo was once a south Buckhead/Midtown wonder where we came for late night espressos and a slice of fancy desserts from their long case. Now, it's in the center of this easy walk around center, along with one of my favorite shops, Free People. But, on the weekends, expect crowds and lines in front of some stores. Weekend evening fireworks draws a big crowd, along with an ice skating rink, fun for the whole family. With this new venture, you can tell the economy is rocking up in Alpharetta, GA. Loved the atmosphere. And parking is free!

It was my first time coming to Avalon for a Yelp Event at Dry Bar so I didn't know what to expect. First thing I noticed... this place is HUGE! Once I got there I started driving around looking for a spot to park since you can parallel park around the streets. Luckily it also has a parking deck (thanks God, I hate parallel parking) so it was easier for me. I parked around Regal Cinema which was easy for me to remember. This is an outdoor mall. They have beautiful lights in the sky while playing jazz music. I thought... NY vibes!! After my appointment at DryBar I wanted to walk around and check the mall before leaving. Most stores were already closing but I just wanted to take a look. Most stores seems expensive, but who knows. I wasn't gonna purchase anything that night, but maybe I will sometime. The main reason why I wanna come back is for the restaurants, pizzerias and gelaterias I spotted while walking around. They seemed crowded, and it also smelled really good. I'll probably take a trip to the movies, and end up eating in one of those too! ESPAÑOL Era la primera vez que venía a Avalon para un evento de Yelp en Dry Bar, así que no sabía qué esperar. Lo primero que noté ... este lugar es ENORME! Una vez que llegué allí, empecé a conducir buscando un lugar para estacionar, ya que puedes estacionar en paralelo por las calles. Por suerte, también tiene una plataforma de estacionamiento (gracias a Dios, odio el estacionamiento paralelo), así que fue más fácil para mí. Aparqué alrededor de Regal Cinema, que era fácil de recordar. Este es un centro comercial al aire libre. Tienen hermosas luces en el cielo mientras tocan música de jazz. Pensé ... NY vibes !! Después de mi cita en DryBar, quería pasear y visitar el centro comercial antes de irme. La mayoría de las tiendas ya estaban cerrando, pero solo quería echar un vistazo. La mayoría de las tiendas parecen caras, pero quién sabe. No iba a comprar nada esa noche, pero tal vez lo haga en algún momento. La razón principal por la que quiero volver es por los restaurantes, pizzerías y heladerías que vi al caminar. Parecían llenos, y también olía muy bien. ¡Probablemente voy a ir al cine y acabaré comiendo uno de esos también!

Beautiful mall and lots of fun stuff to do! There are so many nice shops and restaurants here! Here are some of my favorites: Ted's Montana Grill - our go-to dinner spot! employees are always so kind and amazing melas and portions Antico Pizza - Amazing gelato! Pizza is super good too. Much better than the Battery location. Movie Theatre - so nice with reclining seats! Fuzziwigs Candy Factory - expensive but my kids love it! Apple Store - Beautiful storefront and kind employees And so many more! It's a pleasure to shop here always, and for the most part the COVID-19 precautions are great ! Masks are recommended at all time, and required in most every store. There are limited capacities being enforced in stores, and social distance markings everywhere and one-way walkways . There is a big green play area for kids , similar to the one at the Battery, but this one also has tables to eat dinner, etc. During the wintertime, they turn this into a huge ice skating rink There are also some restrooms over by the movie theatre, and they're always super clean and smell good. Overall, it's always a trendy and fun experience at Avalon and I recommend you come and give these shops and restaurants a try.

I like the Avalon. I come here mainly because I am hitting the movie theater or going to my ongoing obsession store, Lululemon. It's an outdoor shopping venue with small boutiques, mainly higher end shopping, however they do have places like The Gap. I will say that overall, the restaurants thus far have underwhelmed me. In other words, the Avalon does not come to mind when I'm looking for a place to eat. But I like the ambiance. I like that you can grab a glass of wine and go walking around there on a pretty day. It's definitely a pricey place. I remember checking out the apartments there, and finding out a two bedroom was $4500 a month. Yikes! The biggest downside here is the parking. It can take you quite a while to find a good parking spot unless you valet. I have to leave about twenty minutes extra time if I'm ever there to meet anyone, because parking is just so tough. The other downside for me is there aren't a lot of shops there that interest me, but then I'm really into online shopping. For me, I don't come here to shop (unless it's Lululemon). I just like to stroll and enjoy being outside. If you haven't been, I'd definitely recommend it as a place to check out even if you don't buy anything. I am disappointed that most of the restaurants are overpriced with unmatching quality of food, but otherwise I'd say it's a worthwhile place to visit if you are in the Alpharetta area.

Great place to walk around and shop. They need more security, last two times i was there there's a lot of kids (high school?) . i'm talking about packs of 40 or more. they're al over the place yelling, fighting with each other, and harassing customers. It's just not safe after around 7:30 or 8.

Always a treat to hang out. Nice higher end stores great for browsing around. Then my fave two stores-Orvins and Tommy Bahama. If you are of age you can carry your libations around. Ice skating rink is open, great weather today!

Avalon is a beautiful live, work, play development that offers a plethora of first-class restaurants and shopping from Chanel makeup to Lululemon. I have tried nearly every restaurant here and my favorites are definitely Oak Steakhouse, MF Bar, and Rumi's Kitchen. The only downside is that the stores close at different times instead of staying consistent. The ice rink in the winter has also been closed at unpredictable times.

Definitely recommend taking a walk in the area, great shops and a good place to eat, drink, enjoy an ice cream or go see a movie. Not to mention seeing a live band ....... The best is that parking is FREE and PLENTIFUL unlike other places like canton street Roswell where you'll most likely wind up paying $5-$10 for parking to eat, shop etc at the local businesses. ( great place too but the having to pay for parking rubbed me the wrong way!)

Great place to visit if you are in the Alpharetta area. The restaurant choices are good, the dessert options are good, the movie theater is good, the hotel is really nice, and the Apple store is awesome. It is just a fun way to spend walking around, people watching, or listing to some music.

Great place for a date night or dessert after your date. The streets are lined with lights. It's beautiful and peaceful to just walk up and down the street. There are tons of great dinner options, activities and delicious desserts. I've enjoyed Jeni's ice cream (be prepared to wait in a line, it's still worth it) and Cafe Intermezzo for dessert. I've shopped here a few times and they seem to have more specialty shops than a traditional mall. Some stores seem to be on the expensive side. The majority of the time, I go to the Avalon for the food and atmosphere.

When this upscale all-in-one shopping center first got started, it was the buzz of North Georgia. High end apartments above the shops accommodated savvy, stylish, and successful people. Lamborghinis and Mercedes lined the valet counter in front of the cinema. There was an addition a few years later that doubled the plaza's size and available stores, including an Apple store and an Autograph signature hotel. There was a lovely high end feeling in coming to Avalon, and it was clear many others felt the same. Accomplished men with beautiful women and families dined and shopped there. Friday and Saturday nights especially felt posh and upscale...the place to be, if you found yourself north of Atlanta on a weekend. But then there is Gresham's Law. Originally a monetary principle, the term can be used to describe what seems to be inevitable in any system: the bad eventually driving out the good--a feature of the second law of thermodynamics. Flowers bloom and die. Chrome finish eventually rusts. Stars lose their heat energy. Organized systems--political or biological--eventually break down. Malls lose their prestige. Avalon seems to be suffering this arc lately. Getting into the why of the matter is a sensitive subject, so I will attempt to be as polite in my wording as possible. Droves of teenagers that often look like they've been trucked in from the grittier parts of Atlanta are now regularly seen milling about, ogling the girls and generally being low key Almost Hooligans®. None of them seem to be shopping, but just hanging out and looking for...something else. In fact, a great many people who come here now feel like lower to lower middle class types of various ethnicities getting in on the scene and experience that is Avalon. It has become somewhat of a victim of its own success, given the large population that accosts it now. Try driving a car through the streets there without feeling like you're going to pull your hair out. Avalon is by no means a lost cause, but to be blunt, quality is slipping there. It's in the small things and not so small things that one picks up on this feeling. Many light bulbs in the festive strings over the streets are blown out (small thing). There is a ubiquity of cockroaches, especially near many of the eateries, like Rumi, accosting diners (not so small thing). The restaurants are often crowded (small thing), and the wait staff--In Cafe Intermezzo, for instance--often come off as overly tired and rude, especially in the later weekend hours (big thing). Parking has become a nightmare if you're running late for a movie on Friday or Saturday night. And speaking of movies, the Regal Cinema there needs to refresh its theater seats. Overall, the place feels like it's getting a case of tragedy of the commons-itis. There is a sense Avalon is losing its boujee atmosphere and becoming more of a regular mall situation, despite the upscale surroundings. My suggestions to Avalon: 1. Bring on some competent, effective, upscale security. Police cars have been rolling through more often, but that's not a good look. It's damaging to the image Avalon is trying to project. Hire professional staff dressed stylishly in black (think high end club vibe) to keep things civil and orderly. Avoid the ordinary mall cop look. 2. Deal with your pest problems. The cockroaches aren't winning anyone over. Your sanitation and health inspections should probably step up. Hire a competent team to eliminate the pest issues. 3. Work to cultivate a better culture of professionalism in all the member shops participating in your experience. Renew or update your standards of service, especially for restaurants, and be extremely cautious about what brands you let sell there. 4. Fix small details. Lights, planters, the parking garage elevator, a fresh lick of paint here and there, the balconies of some of the units above the street, etc. 5. Standardize the open and closing times for the retail shops, as they seem out of sync. 6. Do whatever else you can to maximize the message: this is an upscale shopping area, not Northpoint Mall 2.0. Ignore my observations at your own risk.

Avalon is everything and then some. Love this little world in my neck of the woods. They just completed a new phase and it's uh-amazing!! Seriously. Especially on nice night out you will be all oooohs and awwwws with the string lights and trees throughout AvalonLand. Plenty of outside seating in little patio furniture set up throughout the newest phase makes it a great place to just hang out. The restaurant options are growing like wildfire. When the place first opened they only had a handful of restaurants but now with the new phase it adds a bunch more awesome options like Rumi's (open for business) and a seafood spot (not open yet). Love all the patio/outside seating available at the various restaurants as well. There are several pet friendly spots. Also, love the big green space and fountain in the center near the theater. Ice skating takes place in the winter time and an area to sit and chill and let the kiddos run around in the warmer months. I always wish they had more cafe/dessert options and boom...now you can choose from Cafe Intermezzo, Pinkberry, Cafe Gio (gelato spot next to Antico's) & Jeni's Ice Cream. They even had a hit chocolate food/drink truck that came out on the weekends. I especially love that Jeni's Ice Cream & Cafe Intermezzo stay open late! That was an absolute must. I hope they add more parking as this place continues to grow. They do have two parking decks but because Avalon is so huge they are pretty far apart. The plus is the parking garage is free. They also have valet available in front of Oak & Colletta as well as in the main center intersection near the concierge area and large courtyard. Avalon, you have my heart! Keep it going.

Great spot! Tons of great options for shopping and food. Shopping is focused on women, but get it. Restaurants were great. Nice tap house... I stayed at the hotel Avalon too. Great find

First note - I don't really dig on the 'burbs, any of them - and Avalon seems forevvver away. But. When we have gone, it's pretty darn cool. The event space at the Hotel is sharp. Not too "sterile" of a feel for a benefit gala like we attended last Christmas; I'd be interested to see what the ballrooms/spaces could be turned into for something more personal like...a wedding reception! Some of my fave restaurants are here - namely Oak. From the annual Labor Day Pig Out that Oak & Colletta do in the nifty little green space between the two, to some inventive-meets-traditional dishes from pastry chef Rachel Barnett and EC Stuart Rogers & sous chef Travis Kirkley, this place is a treat under GM Kevin Krapp's team. Also - if there is a scallop risotto special, get it. We didn't skate last year but I am going to pitch the idea to honey for a holiday treat this year! TBD. Walking the space is fun by itself - of COURSE it's busy, this is Alpharetta, y'all - so footspace is about like parking - be patient. The step kids live in the area so that's reason enough to make some trips OTP every now and then!

If you are looking for a nice stroll outside of the regular Mall then Avalon is the place to come. It incorporates a mall vibe but outdoors and is happening too. Well it does house more costly brands but I generally go there to shop at Whole foods and let my kid explore the huge ground in front of Regal cinema which has plenty of space for kids to run around. There are some great restaurants around there and fun activities happening from tike to time. During winters they set up an ice skating rink which is pretty cool. Its nice and relaxing with lovely decor to get some fresh air and enjoy your walk.

Avalon is an outdoor mall area with a plethora of restaurants and retail stores. There is also residential apartments above these venues. There is a multi theatre cinema. The evening I was there there was a fashion show to benefit children with autism. Lots of great music being played. Parking is free all the time. It seems like these types of venues are popular in Georgia. Atlantic Station in Atlanta is very much like Avalon. Not too sure about mixing commercial and real estate, but now that I say that it's what big cities are made of, so it does work. Anyway back to Avalon, I'm sure I'll be frequenting this area when I head out of the city. The eateries look good. There's an Antico's here and dinner and a movie may be on the calendar soon. So if you're in the Alpharetta area stop by the Avalon!!!

Great stores and atmosphere, has basically any store you could need except grocery. Great services and events.

I want to love this place but I just can't! It is a beautiful bougie shopping experience and transports any middle class or poorer person into a lifestyle of posh shopping, fine dining and high-class living. To live here would be excellent if you can afford it. But visiting is somewhat of a pain. There's not enough parking and most stores are the more expensive versions of boutiques. Unless you've been saving for the special occasion of shopping at Avalon, you'll need to be satisfied with buying your one affordable momento (maybe a candle, a shirt on clearance, or a box of chocolate). Very pretty place though.

So who goes to the mall anymore? This place is an excellent combination of mixed-use with restaurants, shopping, residential, hotels, and movies. There's also a Whole Foods. Parking can sometimes be a challenge since this place draws many people, especially if there is an event. I'd say that it's kind of on the high-end. How many shopping centers have both an Apple store and a Tesla store in the same place? Definitely nice for people watching or just strolling around with an ice cream or a beer (yes, you can stroll around with a beer) enjoying the sort of urban setting in the suburbs. Highly recommend!

A super new and well talked about shopping center - that has finally opened up. I didn't know they had an ice skating rink here. There were also fire pits too for after that ice skating run, yogurt treat, or shopping rest. A Whole Foods and movie theater (Regal I think) can be found here. There are of course the typical shopping outlets (Gap, Banana Republic, etc.) and plenty of restaurants and bars scattered throughout the area. I guess I can add the skating rink's review here. Lol. This rink was fairly small. I haven't been to the Atlantic Station rink (that I can remember from years back), but I am going to make an assumption that it's smaller from pictures I've seen. I liked how there were employees patrolling the ice to assist. I know I needed a hand when I fell - twice. Lol. There was also a strained ankle incident so these folks were definitely handy. Tickets were $16 a piece. It's a shame that there were no lockers for rent or any place to put shoes. Yeah. They were literally thrown everywhere... Restrooms are located in the theater btw. There were free cocoa, but it tasted like flavored water with food coloring. Lol. Parking will be a pain since the hype of this place brings in more people than usual. It's only the immediate area as you turn into the complex that parking will be limited since people just park their cars right there. As you drive further in (or even borrow Whole Foods' lot), there will be additional spaces. There seemed to be a half overarching deck looking area that has additional spaces. This area is adjacent to Whole Foods. Be wary of using Whole Food's lot though since I did see security patrol the area...

This is a new shopping community. Mixed Residential and commercial property. I came to have a cup of coffee in Starbucks. I walked around.

Some great restaurants and expensive high end stores are found here. It also features my favorite movie theater. Decent amount of parking but on the weekends it can be super sketchy on getting a free one in the deck. There are some interesting green spaces and sculptures found throughout the Avalon. I do like how clean and organized this place is. Be prepared to people watch like a hawk. Very interesting mix of people most of the time. Recommended

Who needs Atlantic Station or the Forum when you could be shopping at the Avalon in the heart of Alpharetta? A beautiful outdoor shopping mall with a beautiful set up. Parking is plentiful (well, at 10pm on a Friday night, it was plentiful) and it looks like they are still working on building more parking. So parking complainers, patience is a virtue: you have asked and they have answered. We walked slowly toward the Regal, our destination for the evening. Shops lined our entire walk, from J Crew, an under construction Madewell, Vineyard Vines, and much more clothing shops I am wary to check the price tags at. Right in front of the movie theater is a beautiful fountain that lights up in an almost theatrical water display. Surrounding the theater are a myriad of shops, from Fuzziwigs candy shop and Goldbergs Bagels to Caffe Gio's espresso and gelato, Antico's pizza and Marlow's Tavern beers. I've read reviews about the miserable parking situation and the overpriced shops. Maybe that's true, but you can't have an upscale shopping mall without these characteristics.

I have started stopping at Cafe Intermezzo to bring clients later at night and sit outside. Since they have a limited inside opportunity, but the outside has roaches crawling all over the brick outside and may fall into your coffee!! I have spoken to them, they point the finger to Avalon and Avalon who knows better points the finger at Atlanta Property Management Co as its outside. Any one in business knows its Avalon who is responsible as they should think again about hiring a different Management Co?? I have a Real Estate license and they are responsible, their call who to use. Never bringing clients there again. Such a great venue with such bad companies.

Tourist trap. I signed up last May for what I thought was 3 months of Regal Cinemas at Avalon, but am still being charged monthly payments 14 months later! Avalon should not allow zombie companies like Regal Cinemas who refuse to answer their customer service phone numbers or respond to their complaint forms.

I have been here once but I enjoyed walking around window shopping, outdoor events, and walking through the beautiful homes located in the back. I want to go back and spend another day there, but I recommend this place for a day out just to enjoy the weather, have family time, or have a fun moment

Let's face it: Even the best-behaved women can have a mall meltdown. Alpharetta shopping is so rich, it needs both a North Point Mall and the Avalon. North Point mall is more like your traditional mall, while the Avalon is an "outdoor" mall. The 2 malls are about 5 minutes apart, so plan accordingly. What makes this area so attractive is a cluster of different restaurants and retail stores. There is also residential apartments above these venues. My favorite part of the Avalon has to be the Regal Cinemas Avalon 12! Landscaping is clean and beautiful. The architecture of the place, in general, is very nice. I love the giant water fountain in front of the movie theater. There are plenty of seating everywhere. The Avalon provides an enjoyable shopping experience. You're always surrounded by fresh air and holiday music.

I'm impressed. I wasn't going to write a review of the shopping mall originally, but they sure have caught my eye lately. Avalon opened a few years ago, a high end, bourgeois shopping plaza marketed toward rich millennials who buy $200 yoga pants from Lululemon and $200 juices from Whole Foods after. Two years later, the concept remains the same. However, their neighborhood of businesses have expanded greatly. The new, baddest kids on the block are Apple, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, and Brooks Brothers. Restaurants have also taken interest in the expansion, including a new Rumi's Kitchen, Jeni's Ice Cream, and Chik-fil-A. A few apartment complexes are also being built around here as well. My friend made a good point while we were here: this does not feel like Georgia anymore. Walking down the Avalon feels like I've teleported to a shopping mall in California, seeing boho chicks eating brunch under an outdoor patio and electric cars glide around the streets. Hell, there's even a Tesla store here. Avalon reminds me a lot like Atlantic Station. Pedestrian-friendly streets lined with millennial-approved, higher end stores. This change is replicated all over metro-Atlanta, and a welcome change for most. Avalon has disappointed me in the past with their small selection of niche stores, but they're beginning to expand their community. Can't wait to see more.

Such a nice place to even just walk around in. Not only are the shops versatile, but the restaurants are even better. They have a tesla charging spot where I went to charge my car while I went to go run some errands at some stores there. The environment is very clean and very updated and has a great kind concurrent maintenance. Highly recommend coming here whether it's to shop, eat, or even just walk around.

Great location to visit, walk around and has many upscale stores. Very clean and every merchant is pleasant and lets you know how happy they are you came in. The Tesla Boutique is a must stop location too! We visit frequently as it is far enough from Atlanta with the downtown high end stores.

This outdoor mall houses my favorite over-priced stores: Anthropologie, Free People, Lucky, Whole Foods .... Avalon epitomizes the mixed-use concept with a movie theater, apartments, restaurants, retail shops -- including a Tesla dealer and an Apple store. In the winter, there's even an ice skating rink! It's pretty here, conducive to strolling with a number of places to sit and people-watch. Boasting a variety of restaurants, Avalon has plenty of eateries to choose from, most of which aren't found in typical malls. Do I have any complaints? (sigh.) Since Avalon is popular, parking is sometimes problematic. And let's address the bathrooms, or lack thereof. There should be a bank of them somewhere central. Several stores referred us to Pinkberry, to use their single toilet. (I'm surprised -- actually relieved -- there's not a 'customer only' sign posted on the door.) Avalon is easy to get to, located maybe a minute off exit 10 on 400.
