Very NOT good. Atmosphere was unkept and dirty. The bagel even looked dirty for some reason. Maybe just very dry on the outside. Never had a bagel with such little avocado on it. So much so that half my bagel didn’t even have it on AND the avocado was bad and brown!!

For starters, the manager is a cool guy and friendly however I question him on the people he hires. This one girl does not speak english which caused two incidents of her making me the wrong order and being given the wrong order two times in a row. Very recently, my bagel was burnt all on the bottom and sides of the bagel and tasted burnt as well. My boyfriend went to go get the order and told me that he saw a bagel catch on fire and the staff laughed about it and still served it. Little did we know it was my bagel that was going to be STILL served to me after it caught on fire and was clearly burnt. Never going here again lol. Ridiculous.

Came here during the off season in February. Got a tan caramel surfer iced and a BEC on a salt bagel. Took about 5 min for the coffee and another 5 for the sandwich. It was delicious! Was pretty quiet as a week day in February but I can see why it gets busy during the summer!

Oh no, once and done for us, horrible customer service, girl at counter is also taking telephone orders and running across ti coffee bar makes terribly inefficient system. Place is dirty as tables not wioed between customers and missing ceiling tiles, etc. People will come once and not return as food is just what you'd expect from bagel shop and there are other choices. So sad!

Did an online order for just an everything bagel toasted with butter and a chocolate chip bagel toasted with cream cheese. The service was fast as the order was ready when I arrived. The girl at the counter asked if I had paid already. I thought that was odd as they should probably know that. The place looked nice on the inside. However, the bagels are so tasteless. Kind of disappointing.

Absolutely a great place for breakfast, lunch, some pastries, great coffee, whatever. Food is very good, coffee is fresh and really delicious, went ahead and bought me a bag, and they ground it up for me. Had breakfast 🍳 and it was good, 6 eggs Sunnyside up, and every yoke was spot on. Toast was good as well, I definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone whom lives here, or is visiting. Even the owner is very nice and talkative, and there is dining inside as well with plenty of space. Oh, the bathrooms are kept up well and clean.

This is a no for me** **Wait Time:** Initially, my bagel with cream cheese was promptly prepared by the attentive girls at the front counter. However, things took a turn when my pork roll egg and cheese sandwiches failed to materialize even after 23 minutes. After inquiring, I decided to cut my losses and requested a refund. Unacceptable delay for a basic sandwich. **Staff:** The girls at the front counter were kind and attentive, providing good customer service. However, the kitchen needs serious improvement in turnaround time. Waiting over 20 minutes for a simple egg sandwich is unreasonable. **Cleanliness:** Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue. I noticed visible mold in the fridge and even on the bathroom floor. This was highly off-putting and contributed to my decision not to return (see photos). Overall, my experience at Avalon Coffee was disappointing. Despite friendly service from the front counter staff, excessively long wait times and poor cleanliness standards make it a place I wouldn't recommend or revisit.

Ordered food at the counter. Every table was dirty. Asked coffee bar attendant who was refilling cups if I could use a rag to clean a table. She said they don't "give out" rags. So we sat at a dirty table and waited a very long time for our food. I ordered the scrambled egg platter which came with unbuttered toast. I went to the counter to ask for some jelly and butter. The same girl who couldn't give me a rag and couldn't wipe any of the tables asked me if I "ordered" jelly. I said no, I ordered a breakfast platter with toast. Can I have some jelly for that? She said you have to pay for jelly. They have to "order it" so I have to pay for it. Ok?? I go back to my dry toast. We decided to split a waffle platter, so I was looking forward to that. There was no butter, but there was syrup on the dirty table. The waffle was inedible. We didn't eat it. It was sour like the batter was bad. I don't usually complain as I've worked in restaurants and know everyone has an off day. I didn't complain, but I mentioned it to the chefs working in the kitchen area. They said...huh? I said make one for yourself and see what I mean. We were passing through on our way to the ferry so I won't ever go there again. I felt the need to review as it was ridiculous and they need to do better.
