The Avani Hotel in Luang Prabang is a fantastic choice for high-end accommodations, offering the best location right in the heart of town. The night and day markets are less than a minute from the front door, and nearly all attractions are within walking distance. Unless you’re venturing outside the city, there’s no need for a cab—convenience at its finest.||||The pool is stunning, and surprisingly, it was rarely used during our stay, making it feel like a private oasis. However, the breakfast was just okay. While it wasn’t bad, the variety didn’t live up to the luxury standards the hotel claims. This is an area where there’s room for improvement.||||The rooms are modern, very clean, and well-maintained, but there are a couple of drawbacks. The lighting is dim, which can be frustrating, especially for women trying to use the mirror for makeup or hair. While you could leave the curtains open for more natural light, the wooden shutters mean that if your room faces the pool, anyone outside can see directly into your room—definitely not ideal when getting ready.||||The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great tips for bars and restaurants that made our evenings in Luang Prabang even more enjoyable. Their hospitality truly stood out.||||One major highlight of our trip was the private guide the hotel recommended, Ouseng. He was a wonderful person and guide, taking us to the waterfalls, caves, and other attractions. His knowledge and kindness made our trip extra special—I highly recommend booking him for your excursions.||||Overall, I would definitely recommend the Avani Hotel for its unbeatable location, friendly staff, and beautiful pool. While there are areas for improvement, especially the breakfast and lighting in the rooms, it’s still an excellent choice for a luxurious stay in Luang Prabang.
