Avant Garde Suites

I stayed here with my teenage daughter in room 3 which was at the end on the ground floor. The highlights, amazing view, nice spacious suite, hot tub outside warm, clean, minibar, hot tub towels provided. Room cleaned and beds made everyday. We had a bottle of sweet wine on arrival in our room with 2 small free bottles of mineral water. Then you pay for the water after that or can get some from the local supermarket as you cannot use the tap water for your tea/coffee. The staff were lovely, Maria and another young lady with brown hair, unfortunately I didn’t catch her name. Room service available and my daughter had some lovely home made fries which she loved and a Greek salad on our first evening. Negatives, it was extremely windy which meant we couldn’t use the hot tub most days and could really hear the wind when we were trying to sleep. Guests can walk in front of the suites and so no privacy in the hot tub or your suite. Reception closed from 9pm so if you need anything no one was around after that time. We were left with no toilet paper as they only had 1 roll per day, which I found bizarre and had to ask twice for them to provide some more. Breakfast is no longer delivered to the rooms. Property is dated and needs some TLC. This is not a 4 star property, more like a 3 star.

Fantastic stay in a great boutique hotel with amazing views from my room. The staff were very friendly and the room kept clean and tidy. Special mention to Alexandra the hotel manager who was always happy to assist to make my stay as easy and comfortable as possible.|My room was well equipped and spacious, although it was one of the best rooms, but worth the extra cost in my opinion. |For a small hotel with only seven rooms the facilities are impressive with an indoor hydro therapy pool and small gym area, as well as the outdoor pool and bar.|Breakfast is best delivered to your balcony to enjoy the views of the Caldera.|Akrotiri village is just a short walk away with restaurants and convenience stores and very peaceful|Thira is only about 30 minutes by bus if you want more action

Fantastic hotel. Captivating views. Unparalleled tranquility and natural beauty. The staff are absolutely brilliant. Alexandra, Ourania and Maria, our hosts, were all amazingly friendly. Alexandra gave us great advice and recommendations and helped us book all our activities. The room and hot tub were serviced and cleaned on a daily basis with fresh linen, towels and bath robes provided every morning. The room was spacious and the balcony was massive with otherworldly views. The outdoors swimming pool area was beautiful with amazing views. The indoors swimming pool area and spa offered were also great. Very very strongly recommended especially if you would like to avoid the massive tourist crowds you have to face within Fera, Oia and Imerovigli.

Wonderfully relaxing trip. The hotel has a great spot on the outskirts of Akrotiri which was just a short walk away. The room was spacious and well equipped. The balconies all have a jacuzzi and comfortable double sun lounger. Maria made sure our room was always clean and we had everything we needed. She worked around our timing to come to the room. Alexandra on reception is just lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The pool has a great view over the caldera. What a lovely hotel. Already booked to go back!

My sister and I visited Santorini in May 2025. We stayed at Avant Garde Suites. The location was perfect and the views from our private balcony were amazing. Alexandra was very attentive and so kind. We will definitely be returning. Breakfast was lovely and affordable. The rooms spacious and very clean. Couldn't fault this hotel.

We originally booked the Avant Garde Suites in Akrotiri but ended up in Firastefani. So, no pool but the most amazing views of the caldera from our private terrace and a large jacuzzi just for us. There is another terrace off the bedroom if you want to watch the sunrise. The suite is beautifully designed and comfortable and was cleaned every day by our lovely cleaner. Going in April meant warm days and cool evenings which suited us very well. We walked every day either into Fira ( about 25minutes) or up to the next village. It’s a lovely coastal path both ways with fabulous views. Opposite the suite is a very good restaurant, the Onar where we ate most nights. Excellent food and service. We had a wonderful holiday, really relaxing and we thoroughly recommend the Avant Garde Suites .

The stay was incredible, the place is beautiful ! The service is top-notch! If you want to enjoy Santorini, this hotel is perfect! Akrotiri is a great town, well located and close to everything! Alexandra is incredibly kind and was always there whenever we needed anything. An unforgettable stay ❤️
