The food is very well prepared. The service is exceptional and all the staff friendly. The lasagna is not traditional as you would get in Europe or the USA, but has its own unique blend of tomato sauce with more cheese and ground beef. Very nice.

Only had desert. It was not great but ok!!! The place seems very quiet and abandoned, maybe because of the road constructions happening close by. The service is also ok.

The ambiance is beautiful… It gives Italian vibes… Service is a bit slow, language barrier can be a hindrance but they try overall. I had the chicken “special” The accompaniments (mashed potatoes & vegetables), were a bit cold. The Pineapple Juice is elite ! Really good freshly squeezed. Helen went above & beyond to make my experience extra good. Because of her, I give 4 stars otherwise I would have given 3. Ps. Ran Helen a bonus; she’s awesome.

I’ve been going to Avanti for years bc its been a family favorite. Their food has always been consistent. Their service is always impeccable, their waitstaff have been trained very well. Some of their portioning is a little weird, their raviolis are quite small and I don’t think is worth the price, but their other pastas are fairly sized portions.

my favorite italien restaurant in addis abeba! the dimmed light and the interior created an amazing ambience, the waiters are very friendly and professional and the food is soooo tasty! l had the mushroom soup, the baked tortellini (which l recommend everybody who loves cream-sauce) and the cream-caramel. everything was perfect! thanks to the avanti-staff for making my evening, l enjoyed a lot!

I asked for pasta with a little bit of everything and boy did they deliver! Fantastico! The staff was incredibly professional and the atmosphere inside was reminiscent of fine dining back in the 50s with a piano and variety of whines. If you enjoy Italian food this place is a must (after 7pm is perfect). Great for a date or anything worth remembering.
