I’ve been doing a lot of really nice restaurants in my life. I also been to many Brazilian steakhouses around the country. This is by far my favorite. ❤️ The food was sizzling when it got to the table. The salad bar was fresh and full of so many amazing things. The food was extremely delicious. The Brazilian lemonade wasn’t too sweet or bitter. The service was impeccable. There’s a reason why this place has a 4.8. If you’re looking for a good steakhouse or you’re looking for a great experience for a date, this place will not disappoint.

Amazing Experience! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and welcoming — exactly what you’d hope for in a Brazilian steakhouse. The staff was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and always ready to explain each cut of meat while making sure we had everything we needed. And the food… wow! 😍 The meats were perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. I loved the fun green/red card system — green means “yes, bring more meat!” and when you need a break, you flip it to red. The grilled pineapple with cinnamon was a sweet highlight and the perfect bite between all the amazing cuts. Drinks were delicious, and the salad bar had fresh, well-prepared options. I’ll definitely be coming back! If you’re looking for a unique dining experience, incredible food, and top-notch service, Avenida Brazil is the place to go.

Google
I left 4 star rating for the food. Only because there was not much selection to choose from. what I will say that I noticed was different. Is that they offer a lot more seafood. Then I've seen in other Brazilian steakhouses in San Antonio. The atmosphere is beautiful. Restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, very classy and upscale. The food is prepared with care and everything was absolutely delicious. I just honestly wish there was more selection. No complaints about what we received. And the wait staff was on point point to make sure that you had everything you needed. The moment you needed it, if you're a non-alcoholic drinker. Try the brazilian lemonade it's delicious

Today we celebrated a birthday party at this venue . It was our first time . I found this gem by chance and I sure am glad that I did . Let’s start with the atmosphere, it was clean with a perfect ambience, smooth music and soft, lighting. The placement of everything made it easy to navigate . We enjoyed a private room with enough space for not only the birthday boy and our guest, but the staff. As far as the service , hands-down the best !! -they catered to all of our wants ,needs and special request, even making sure that our guest were comfortable. There were moments that I would just sit back and watch the teamwork of the staff, and I loved the communication- they were always talking about what to do and how to do it and what our party needed. I love that the manager was present and making sure that we were doing well. They added extra touches to everything taking this service from a 10 to off the charts. Even presenting the birthday boys cake in a beautiful fashion -happy birthday was sung in English ,Spanish and in Portuguese. This was one of the most memorable events that we have ever hosted Mainly because of the service . The servce wouldn’t be worth much if the food was not up to par, but let me tell you what…. this hidden gem holds the best cuts of meat that we have ever had. I can say that I am a Brazilian steakhouse connoisseur, and have gone too many of the larger locations that most people know about. I wholeheartedly tell you to give this place a try , it is a portion of the cost of anywhere else and the food and service is better and atmosphere a lot more intimate . I usually don’t go for the lamb chops because at most places they’re OK . However here at Avenida they are the best that I’ve ever had. They have everything that you need , including sides and seafood is included in the dinner price. Also the BEST SALAD BAR , I’m returning for another round ! Olives , bacon , cheeses , pasta ,delicious rice ,black beans and more ! The whole process started with a simple phone call in which they were attentive and gave me plenty of follow up, followed by emails to make this party, a breeze. The food was delicious. The service was amazing. It is completely worth every dollar and if I could give it more than five stars I would . I highly recommend it. Cindy , Lexi and Ramon catered to us in a private room full of smiles , good food and music that was kept at a perfect pitch so not to be overwhelming. Upon my initial research I noticed photos in the review that did not highlight the “ feel “ or “ taste “ of Avenida so please enjoy what I share and Don’t take my word for it , give it a go .

Today was our first time coming to Avenida Brazil, and to our surprise we ran across familiar faces. Eddie Rodriguez and Ramon O always took really good care of us at another one of our favorite spots and we were so happy to see them here. Their service and attention have always made our dinning in experience memorable, and today was no exception. We were also able to experience Juniors service and he was kind and attentive to the cuts we were requesting. Today we were waited by Miguel who also provided awesome service and nice conversation in between check-ins. Everyone was so professional and attentive and the food was also amazing! We learned that on Friday's they have one lobster per person included in the dinner option. (Recommend you confirm with the business if this is ongoing or only during lent season) If I had any feedback the only thing I would love is to have the pineapple warmed up on a skewer with some sugar and cinnamon, instead of the cold serve grilled pineapple option on the salad bar. Thank you Avenida team, definitely made my birthday weekend with my honey memorable. Gracias Eddie y Ramon por siempre cuidarnos y darnos el mejor servicio. Hasta la próxima! Sinceramente la niña de la piña y el quesito. 🍍🧀 ☺️

Came in for Mother’s Day which was the best decision we could have made! Service was exceptional. Our server, Miguel, went above and beyond and paid excellent attention to detail. The food was delicious with the salad bar having a plethora of options, and the meats and seafood were seasoned perfectly! The restaurant is well-lit and not too crowded even on a busy day like Mother’s Day. We will be coming back for sure!

If you're craving an endless feast of perfectly grilled meats, this Avenida Brazil Brazilian Steakhouse by Sal e Brasa is the place to be. The servers keep the skewers coming with juicy cuts of beef, lamb, pork, shrimp, scallops and chicken, all carved tableside. The salad bar is fresh and well-stocked. The service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is lovely. A special shout out to Luis Gonzalez and Ramon, whose hospitality and attention to detail were extraordinary. He made the experience even better with his impeccable service. Go hungry, because you’ll want to try everything. Definitely worth it for meat lovers!

Google
This Brazilian steakhouse exceeded all expectations! The food was absolutely phenomenal — every cut of meat was perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, and served piping hot straight from the grill. The salad bar was fresh and beautifully presented, with an incredible variety of sides and accompaniments. But what truly set this place apart was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of from the moment we walked in. Every server was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about providing an exceptional experience. If you’re looking for a place that combines world-class food with even better hospitality, this is it. Can’t wait to come back!

Yelp
Our first time here but definitely not the last! An intimate setting for a fabulous Brazilian meal. Lights are low, nice music, even a window side table. Greeted immediately and drinks were out within minutes. They have a cold salad bar and a warm salad bar as well as strolling waiters with beef, chicken, lamb, and sausage plus salmon, scallops, and shrimp! I'll try to describe the scrumptious offerings that my husband or I tasted. They offer a traditional selection of salads including wedge, caprese, caesar, and several others. Hubby said the fresh raw tuna was as good as wagyu beef and the smoked salmon was superb. Terrific selection of cheeses to include a marvelously creamy blue cheese. The warm bar included a delightfully creamy lobster bisque - you could see and taste the lobster - the most wonderful caramelized bacon, oven-roasted pork butt, and more. The meat selections included a super tender lamb steak, lamb chops, beef sirloin, beef picanha, chicken breast wrapped in bacon, chicken thighs, sausage, perfectly seasoned grilled shrimp, garlic sauteed scallops, and a delightful salmon. They brought au gratin potatoes (super creamy cheese), cheese puffs, and fried bananas to the table. Probably even more that I can't recall. Every item was perfect. They offer a dessert menu but neither of us could even think about more to eat. The service was absolutely superb. All wait staff checked regularly to see what else you might want to taste. Drinks were refreshed regularly. The full bar has about 6 seats and looked like a great place to meet friends. They offer an extensive wine list and many creative cocktails. There are about 20 tables plus a private room for about 2 dozen. You don't feel pressed for time or space. The restrooms were super clean and both men's and women's had a baby changing station. Plenty of parking in their lot.

Yelp
I've been to several Brazilian steakhouses in the city, and I would have to say that this one is at the bottom of my list. While the salad bar was good, and the candied bacon was also delicious, the meats were very hit & miss all in one visit. We tried the bottom sirloin, spicy picaña, shrimp, scallops, filet mignon, wagyu beef, grilled cheese with honey, & lamb. They also offered chicken legs, bacon wrapped chicken, and sausage. Although we asked for our meats medium rare, most of it was dry and overly seasoned. We had to ask for several meats because they just were not coming by our table and it seemed like they kept running out because there were several times when nobody was on the floor offering meat. Our server wasn't the best either, but I feel like they needed more staff which is crazy for it being Fathers Day.. you would think they would over staff for the holiday. We ran out of water several times within our visit. You need water when eating their salty meats. The only thing that really stuck out to me was the grilled cheese with honey, it was so unexpectedly delicious. The restaurant is a little small, but intimate. They do need to dust their light fixtures. Probably won't be back. $62 per person for Father's Day- wasn't great. 20% gratuity for large parties.

Yelp
Good restaurant for a meal as the serving staff is superb, but I'd avoid having an event here. After considering multiple Brazilian steakhouses in San Antonio, we decided to go with Avenida for our reception. The short story is that the event coordinator "A", made multiple promises at the first several meetings including use of multiple spaces within the venue. After we signed the agreement she then apologies that we are no longer able to use any of those spaces. She ask failed to disclose gratuity charges for any additional service she provides. While this may be common sense to the service industry, it should be disclosed to consumers as we don't plan events on the regular. When we involved the owner, he was mildly empathetic but did not once offer an apology and simply stated that she does not have experience in event planning. He then proceeded to disregarded our concern by suggesting that he wouldn't have that set up that way if it was his event. Needless to say, because of the non transparency, we had to revisit the seating arrangement, decoration, and floor plan multiple times during the planning process. The male restaurant manager did take over on the day of the reception and was competent. However, the damage was done and could've been avoided if Avenida was transparent and hired a competent event planner. I'd consider going back for a meal, but never again would I hold an event here nor enter another contract with this company. I would also deter any family, friends, or colleague from holding an event here.

Yelp
Came to this place for a small Bday dinner for the Mr approximately 5 people. We had reservations set for 5:00pm right when it opened. Upon arrival we checked in (smoothly) we were then seated and provided the round notifications (let's then no if you want more or no meat) they had a good selection of sides we initially went in for the 7meat selection (very lumited meats)but ended up with the full meat since lamb chops was not available. The service was pretty good we had to adk for specific meats and sometimes I felt very rushed in selection. Despite having a no pork sign for a person at the table they still insisted on asking(they just needed be more aware)Be Aware:They come around with top shelf liquor which they neglected to let you know they charge extra for(18.00 for a shot) The food was nice and fresh and at the end they offered a piece of Bday cake. We will return.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place more than Brasão and Chama Gaucha since it's priced slightly lower than those two Brazilian restaurants. However, I'd rather pay the premium to get better quality of food and service at those two aforementioned restaurants. Service was good but not superb, and given the price point, I expected there to be better attention to detail. The table ended up with lots of meat "crumbs" that were never brushed off using a crumb collector by any of the wait staff. The salad bar was also very lackluster, with no cheese wheel of parmesano reggiano. I usually look forward to the salad bar to start off a great Brazilian steakhouse experience, but it was only okay. They did have a hot foods station, which I thought was cool, but the hot foods weren't any spectacular either. Onto the meats: you can't go wrong with the classic picanha cut, which was cooked beautifully and at a perfect temperature. The lamb chop was also tender but wasn't nearly as good as the those offered at the other two steakhouses mentioned earlier. The shrimps were also slightly overcooked and weren't as tender as I expected them to be. (These are the three meat items I judge Brazilian steakhouses on. In my opinion, a really good one will excel in all three.) The ambiance was great, and I really liked the set up of the tables and decor. Will I return? Probably not, but I think if you've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse before and want to have a good experience for an affordable price, definitely check this place out for lunch on Fridays! (Only $39pp for ayce, not including tax and tip.)

Yelp
I'm a steak lover and it was on my mind when arriving into San Antonio. I opted to go the 'no chain' route because I wanted to try something different that was close to the airport and stumbled upon this place. Per the yelp pics (shout out to all of y'all) I was happy to see they had Salmon, Shrimp AND Scallops as options (say what?!?!?)! I was immediately seated and everyone from the hostess, servers to the manager were extremely nice. The salad/hot bar were pretty standard, but I specifically enjoyed seeing, what looked like, a beef fried rice option which was good. My fave was the lobster bisque (more on that later). 5 stars for sure at this point.... Now on to the steak and meats; overall, not much seasoning on the steaks specifically. All were cooked to my liking but lacked flavor on most selections. The house special was the show eventhough they had plenty of options. The Salmon, good but dry, and the scallops had a weird bitter taste which was very disappointing b/c I love scallops. Now the winner of the night was the shrimp--hands down! Those things were huge, drenched with perfect flavor and when dipped in the lobster bisque, were absolutely amazing. I swear I ate 1.5 sticks of those things! HA. I was too full for dessert, but I'd definitely return just to see if the seasoning on the steaks and the taste of the scallops were an issue on this day only. Overall great choice for the evening.

Yelp
Avenida Brazil is a standout among Brazilian steakhouses because of the variety of grilled meats--especially seafoods--and premium offerings on the salad bar. The restaurant is in a strip mall tucked between a bookstore and a movie theater, but the signage's faux flames will grab your attention. Near the front door there is a window for watching the process of seasoning and grilling the meats over hot coals. The dining room sparkles with chandeliers and pendants. The noise level is pleasant and it's easy to have a conversation. The staff will explain to newbies how to show you're ready for meats, but first you should load up at the salad bar. In addition to the fresh vegetables and fruits, there is a nice selection of seafood like seared tuna, crab salad, and smoked salmon and trout. The grilled meat selections also included fish and seafood like salmon, shrimp, and scallops. The meats, especially the signature picanha and sirloin, had rich seasonings and a smoky aroma from the wood burning grill. The dessert menu offers flan, chocolate cake, cheesecake, creme brûlée, and more. Avenida Brazil is a satisfying steakhouse and salad bar that makes guests feel welcome. It would be a good choice for date night or a special occasion with a group.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Avenida Brazil for a celebratory dinner. I had been in a cervical collar for over 12 weeks after a bike crash. My neck was set free yesterday, LOL! We have seen the neighborhood restaurant but hadn't the opportunity to try out the new restaurant. What a great excuse to give a new restaurant a try. We arrived shortly after opening on a Friday so we had no trouble being seated despite not having reservations. The restaurant is fairly small but the ambience was nice. Upon entering the restaurant, you see the salad bar. It is a very small salad bar compared to other Brazilian restaurants but they offered smoked fish and Ahi tuna so that was kind of nice. In addition, there was a section with beans, rice, risotto and soup area. They brought cheesy bread and sides of plantain bananas and cheese potatoes. Additionally, servers came by with grilled asparagus and garlic bread. The service was excellent. Our server and management checked on us often. However, despite us still eating our salad and our "card" indicating if we were not ready for protein still being in red, we had a constant flow of servers stopping at our table asking if we wanted the offered meats. I'm sure it was not meant to be pressure on the diner, but we did feel rushed and had to keep turning the servers away. However, there were many different protein options including some that we had not seen at other Brazilian restaurants: Tomahawk steak, scallops, Salmon, etc. We did not sample the Salmon but the Tomahawk steak and scallops were delicious. My favorite protein is normally grilled lamb chops. None were circulating so when asked if we had any special request, I immediately asked for grilled lamb chops, medium rare. They did eventually come out but were a bit over cooked for my personal liking. Additionally, the seasoning was different from what I was accustomed to. I typically enjoy garlicky lamb chops. These lamb chops were just different. I couldn't quite pinpoint the flavoring but I will not reorder. I'm sure it was just my personal palate preference For drinks, my husband ordered one of their special fruity drinks but it was a bit more tart than he was accustomed. The lime taste was a tad strong. To the management's credit, they offered to remake it but we opted to order a substitute drink instead. They really tried to make our experience enjoyable.

Yelp
This place was amazing, best Brazilian steakhouse in San Antonio. Everything was amazing! They really now how to get you with the salad bar because its so good and they have so many options. The Brazilian beans and empanadas were out of this world. I also really enjoyed the service, the staff were so friendly. They brought me some cheese with honey that was delicious. I loved the sides like the cheesy potatoes, bread, bananas. The lemonade had refills and we didn't even have to ask them just filled out cup. The restaurant was busy but they seated us really quickly, it's a great place to come with family or even on a date.

Yelp
Wonderful food and service here! My dad is a huge fan of steaks and he really wanted to try it out. I'm not as big of a steak fan but when I came in I saw that their salad bar looked phenomenal so I decided to do the salad bar only. I've gone to other Brazilian steakhouse and this salad bar was the best bar I've ever had. They had so many delicious options other than salad, the empanadas and the black beans were so delicious I kept going back for more. The servers were very attentive and very nice, our server was Luis and Santiago also came by and checked on us and shared details about these locations. Definitely plan on coming back for a date night!

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. The meat quality is delicious. It is not salty and it is cooked so perfectly I couldn't stop eating it. I was so sad to be full. The service is amazing. One thing I will say is that they check on you quite often and tend to your requests very quickly! Another thing that I liked about this place is how intimate the seating area is. The restaurant is not humongous inside so servers can easily attend to you due to the limited seating. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Brazilian barbecue. The best cuts here were the picanha, bottom sirloin, lamb. There were some other cuts that were so amazing I just can't remember the names of them. I wish they had this place local to me. But this is definitely a must try if you love the churrasco experience. The price was around $37 for the sizzling seven deal we got. They have another full menu for $55. Either one I would say is worth it.

Yelp
I was impressed with the venue itself! very nice, and clean atmosphere. Food is amazing!! Service if very efficient, and fast pass. If you love food, this is the place to come. Options for everyone! Must try.

Yelp
The salad bar and drinks were hands down my favorite thing from this restaurant. The salad bar had some delicious salad, deviled eggs, empanadas, pork belly and more to choose from. Such great variety and delicious flavor. The bar was making the drinks quickly and delicious! I highly recommend the smoky old fashioned. I was not too impressed with the selection of meats they offered but the few that they did were not bad in taste. The service here made up for the lack of meat options they had. Service was great from everyone there. Such friendly and attentive people that I would go back to this place because of the great experience I had there. If you get a chance to stop by check out their salad bar which on my opinion was delicious!

Yelp
We had reservations at 730. We checked in at 720. They were packed! We were not seated until 800. Once seated no one came to our table for over 5 minutes closer to 10 minutes. It was our first time here so we weren't sure what the protocol was. Every place is different. Once our server came by things still got off to a slow start. We were seated 20 minutes before any meat came our way. When they finally got into the groove things were finally better. Food was 8.5 out of 10. The bad: My family loves lamb chops and they were sorely disappointed in the flavor. After the 1st serving none were finished. The also had lamb steak and that was also blah. Same for the salmon, that had no flavor Now the good: The rest of the food was delicious and as I said once the servers got into their groove things were great. They have a pretty good selection of meats, they standard Brazilian Steakhouse meats you'd expect plus ribeye, NY strip steak and Tomahawk steak all 10/10. They also have shrimp, salmon, scallops and lobster bisque. They also served melty cheese with honey soooo good! We'll give it another try in the future and see how it goes. One of the issues we saw was there were at least 3 big tables of 8+ that were done and just sitting there talking. One table stayed almost an hour after we had been there. In other places they discreetly but gently let you know it's time to go after you've stopped ordering/eating. The 2nd issue is the waiting area which was nonexistent/ super tiny especially for how busy it was

Yelp
We have been going to a bunch of the Brazilian steakhouses to find our favorite. Avenida is new, it was our friends birthday so we were picking up the bill. All in all with just sodas, tea and desserts. The bill was over $$300 for 4 of us plus add a 20% tip. The restaurant is beautiful. Our waiter stopped coming to our table and it took 41 minutes to get a coke. A manager saved the day and went to get it. They were packed but there was plenty of staff. The salad bar was great but a lot of it was not refilled. The Lobster Bisque soup was a huge highlight. It was really good. When we went back for another small bowl, it was dredges. We were in a back room and the staff with meat barely came back to us. Our friend is allergic to cow, so we kept asking for scallops and lamb. We never saw them. The chicken was good and the ribeye was good but the other meat was lacking in flavor. I personally ate avocados, grilled pineapple that was incredible and not much else. Fresh cut tomatoes were garnish on everything and I am personally allergic and so is our daughter. The staff other than our male waiter were really kind and great. None of us would go back. They have a lot of kinks to work out

Yelp
We had a great dinner tonight at Avenida. First off, the service is incredible. We knew better, but still made a rookie mistake and ate too much off of the salad bar. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The lobster bisque is one of the best in town. Every cut of meat and seafood we had was top notch. Everything was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. Unlike other Churrasco's we have been to, Avenida includes seafood which is a nice change. We will be back!

Yelp
Manager Aldison & his team of servers are always providing great service. Large dining area is big enough to accommodate many Customers & Ive never had to wait for a table

Yelp
My family loved the salad bar and options. I enjoyed that they had shrimp and salmon as options. The space is a bit tight and doesn't provide that excitement from being able to see everyone running around with the different meats. Service was ok. They were very nice don't get me wrong but if comparing to their competitors, they have some work to do. Pricing was in line, which is expensive to be honest however you should know this going in. Overall, it's a decent option to change up your Brazilian steakhouse experience.

Yelp
I participated in a business meeting at Avenida Brazil and had there Buffett. The location is nice, and had some great upbeat contemporary jazzy music playing. The staff were very nice and attentive. The service was very good with plenty of staff working to take care of customers. There is a large salad bar the comes with the meal. Lots of great selections on the salad bar. You truly can make a meal just of the salad bar.... The sides that came with the main course was potatoes au gratin and caramelized bananas. The potatos was extremely rich (more than I like) and the bananas were amazing!!!! Now the meat. I tried every meat that came out. Beef, shrimp, chicken, and more .. the meat was my biggest let down. It had a mild grilled taste but lacked season in my opinion. It was not bad at all l, but just lacked spices for my taste.

Kathryn S.

Yelp
The food is the best! I have been twice so far and can't wait to continue to go back! Service is also very top notch! Can't go wrong with this place!

Yelp
This is such a nice Brazilian Steakhouse. They staff is friendly and efficient. They come right away with table service and whatever you need. The salad bar is full stocked and beautifully displayed. They come right ambiance is very nice. I could see you going for special occasions because if the price or on a date. However maybe not a first date because of the dim lighting and who wants to be stuffed to the brim. But what a great place to visit and have a special dinner with others or even by yourself. Go check this place out.

Yelp
Thank you to Culinaria Restaurant Weeks for letting us know about this new Brazilian Churrascaria Steakhouse. We tried it for Sunday brunch and it was amazing. There is so much food, I found it impossible try everything. Brunch included an omelette and waffle station and bacon. Hot items on the buffet also included a creamy lobster bisque, rice & beans, and empanadas! The salad bar was plentiful with a huge variety of salads and cheeses. There was even fried garlic. Yum!! We enjoyed the flavor of the grilled pineapple (but would prefer it hot). A fantastic addition you don't find at many similar restaurants was a tasty lemon herb salmon, grilled shrimp and garlicky scallops served prior to and throughout the meat service. They were all so good and a nice alternative to the heavy meats. They also brought huge asparagus spears around to your table in addition to keeping au gratin potatoes and caramelized bananas stocked on the table. The meats were all flavorful, tender and good quality. They even had tomahawk steak! Mimosas on Sunday brunch are $5 a piece and they had a wide selection of flavors. We've been a fan of another churrascaria in town, but this has a wider selection of offerings and was $10 cheaper. We also recognized some of our favorite employees from the other place who we were surprised had moved here. They were so friendly and helpful. Service was a little slower keeping up with the meats, but on the other hand, we felt very relaxed and did not feel they were rushing us out. It was a wonderful experience, and we can't wait to go back!

Yelp
It's a pricey meal but i would highly recommend it for special occasions. I liked the variety of meats and seafood- my favorites were the scallop and filet mignon. Some of them were a bit dry or overcooked. The salad bar was also well stocked and I appreciated all the variety- wish the grilled pineapple was more fresh though. The service was incredible and the staff were super attentive. If I was in town, I'd come back again!

Yelp
As a First time trying this restaurant it wasn't bad. Food: Once it started rolling it came quick. I loved the season/marinade that was on the meats. My fav were the lamb chops, bacon wrapped chicken breast & shrimp (sorry. ate too fast & didn't get any pics because I didn't eat all-day to save enough room for this dinner). ‍ The salad bar was a bit limited but the rice near the salad bar was good. Service: all the servers were really nice & pleasant. We only had one that seemed a bit lost & kept forgetting to ask the whole table if they needed anything. (It became a running joke but the end of the night). I also had to ask to keep my bottle of wine chilled. He just sat it on the table after he opened it. Why did I have to ask for that again? Is that not a common courtesy? Ambiance: Dim lights (which I don't mind), cozy & quaint. Not too loud as we were seated in a more private area. I may attempt to try again in the future but, no time soon.

Yelp
This restaurant was definitely cozy in terms of atmosphere. Service was quick to the tables and the servers were very attentive to the next round of meats. Everything tasted amazing. Every cut was seasoned well and at a great temperature. I definitely enjoyed the cuts of lamb. The salmon was definitely a welcomed surprise.

Yelp
Just got to Chama gaucho you had to pay extra to get decent proteins and then it just comes out on a white cutting board sauce, containers or plastic not worth the money. The service is good and ambience is good but the food not so much.

Yelp

Yelp
Our 2nd time here. Food, service and ambiance was superb! Ramon, Gloria, Luis, Adilson along with other staff, we do not their names, worked great! The staff actually luv their jobs! Salad bar has a small hot bar is like nothing we have at any other Brazil Steakhouse! Seafood choices also with the other protein options. And the bread, delish! Review the menu for drink choices also.

Yelp
I didn't think I'd ever say this but Avenida is better than Chama Gaucha and Texas De Brazil. It's about $15 cheaper, offers more selection, and isn't a large place so they can keep the food quality under control.

Yelp
Great food with the meat variations and flavors you expect with a high quality churrasqueria. The service was amazing and accommodating. Asked us what our favorite cuts and temperatures are and made sure we tasted all the good stuff. If you're a pescatarian you can do the seafood option without paying the price of the meats. One of the main reasons I will be back again is the ambiance. I loved the smooth music and decor, we were actually able to hear each other at the table and have a great meal and celebration. Ciapirinha drink is a must with the fresh muddled minty/pinapply/passion fruity flavors. So good- excuse the half finished drink in photo we chugged that down pretty fast yum

Yelp
Came to enjoy the grand opening and was not disappointed. The service as soon as we walked in the door was extra attentive and personable. Everyone was so friendly and enthusiastic. The restaurant was clean and well-organized. The decor is a fine dining vibe without the stuffy attitude. Now to the food. The salad bar has a variety of fresh items to try including ahi tuna, ceviche, assorted cheeses, and salad options. They also have rice, beans, empanadas, and even caramelized bacon. The bacon is so good. Make sure to try it. Now, for the entrees, there is something for everyone. There is shrimp, scallops, different cuts of beef, lamb, chicken, and pork sausage. I enjoyed the variety and quality of the cuts. Everything was seasoned well, and the portions were reasonably per cut. You can get full quickly if you do not pace yourself. The sides were yummy because instead of regular mashed potatoes like the other Brazilian steakhouses, they serve au gratin potatoes. They were great. You will not be disappointed, and I am glad this casual but upscale restaurant moved into the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures of my plates because I did not want to show y'all how greedy I was. Lol

Yelp
Yea yea yea yea mudda fuc'ing yes!!!! If you like Brazilian BBQ then you'd be fine at any o'l place. But if you Love Brazilian BBQand know whats up with the ins and outs, the. This place has it all. Those who know know that Avenida stands out from all the rest of the crap out there. If you come here, then everything else is mediocre, trust me.

Yelp
We had a reservation and were seated right away. The service was top notch during the whole meal. The salad bar has a great selection to include multiple different cheeses, salads, cold cuts and smoked salmon. They also have lobster bisque and empanadas. In addition to the different usual cuts of meats, they also serve shrimps, salmon and scallops which are all well cooked and seasoned. A great meal to be had for sure.

Yelp
The service is just as great when compared to many of their close competitors within the area, honestly, I would say it is even better! I noted an issue with the staff and they quickly fixed the cause and were so prompt about it all. I truly appreciated it. I will note that the meat here is not as heavily seasoned as compared to other Brazilian steakhouses, but I actually preferred the food this way. There are definitely enough accommodations to season the meat yourself however you'd like. Their selection is definitely my favorite as they incorporate seafood into their menu! I love the salmon. I do think their salad bar selection may be smaller, but that doesn't lose points for the establishment in my opinion. Will be back sooner than later!

Yelp
Because of it being Valentines Day, I wanted to take my wife out to a nice restaurant. We both like Brazilian Steakhouses, but wanted to give a new one a shot. When we got there, we were seated and offered our drinks. Everything was very good. I even told my wife that I thought this was one of the better ones we had been to. That was until we ordered the bacon wrapped chicken and the salmon. My wife tried the salmon and said it was completely dried out. She could not even try to finish it. When we were served bacon wrapped chicken, my wife and I tried it, then realized it was still very raw in the inside. If I were to compare it to a steak, I would say medium rare at best. I notified the waitress and even showed it to her. She then removed the chicken and I seen her notify someone else who looked to possibly be the manager. Notl one after, i began to have stomach problems and my wife started feeling nauseous too. Because of that, we did not feel like eating anymore and wanted to leave. It was a busy night, of course, but it took a while for us to be able to stop a waitress for our check and to get it. When we received our check, my wife and I were shocked to see the price. Because of it being Valentines Day, they not only raised the price of the meal to roughly 1.5% of the regular price, but also automatically placed a 20% gratuity onto the check. Neither my wife or I had seen anywhere on their website that they would raise the price due to it beinf a "holiday" nor seen the automatic gratuity charge on the site. I understand its a busy night and want to make money, but automatically doing this is a total turnoff. We then paid and left. Not once did a manager come up to us and apologize for the chicken being very raw, not offer us a discount, offer us to come back for a better experience on a different night, a free dessert, nothing. Even just a manager coming up to us and stating they were very sorry for the chicken would have made a little difference. That tells me either management is not worried about the customers, scared to admit fault, or both. Less to say, our Valentines Day was completely ruined from that point on. All night, my wife and I were sick. That is why I had to wait until this morning to write this review. I would have given this place a much better review if it were not for the raw chicken, management apologizing somehow, and if there was some notice about the increase of price for the holiday night. Because of this, I felt customers should possibly see this review so they know of the overall experience. The reason for the lowing of score is this: -2 stars for the raw chicken (there is no excuse for any raw meat at a restaurant when there's meat thermometers, chefs who should know how to cook and know cooking times, and checking the meat before serving it). -1 star (for lack of management not apologizing somehow and also no notification for the increase of price for food). Total rating: 2/5 star experience.

Yelp
EXCELLENT BRAZILIAN STEAKHOUSE / EXCELLENT ATMOSPHERE / EXCELLENT PRICE!!!! We just found out about this place yesterday, as it only opened a couple of months ago. PRICE: It might be because it's new but for the quality of food, the price is an absolute steal at $55. Wednesday's is perfect for dates as it's $45 for women! ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere is a bit different than most steakhouses. Rather than the usual murals of gouchos riding on the Pampas, it's more modern and elegant. This is a place where you can dress casually or dress up. Again perfect for family (young kids eat as low as $22!) or romantic dinner. SERVICE: You know how so many restaurants are understaffed, nowadays? This is the opposite. Not only is the staff attentive, but everyone in management came by to make sure we were enjoying our meal and to ask about which steaks we preferred to have brought to our table and how we liked them prepared Which bring us to the... FOOD: Let's start with the starters. Two words: Lobster bisque! I mean really good lobster bisque with chunks of lobster throughout! Loved it. Instead of the usual mashed potatoes, they serve baked potatoes au gratin that's perfect. After trying everything, I let Ramon (our server, who made sure everything was perfect at all times) that my favorite steaks were the spicy pequena - which isn't actually "hot" spicy, just robustly flavorful; the filet and this is unusual for me at a Brazilian steakhouse - the shrimp that was SO good!). They also have excellent New York, Sirloin and ever Wagyu! There was never 5 minutes, when I wasn't offered one of my favorites, prepared exactly how I like it best. WINE & SPIRITS: I'm not much of a whine drinker but they have every Scotch from Johnny Walker up to a $380 a shot Macallan 25, so I'm betting the rest of the wine & spirits menu is comprehensive. I went with a favorite: Lagavulin 16 - which was a very reasonable $16! Overall, this is the best food and value I've seen in a Brazilian steakhouse, ever. And I live at these places so that's saying a lot!

Yelp
It started off not so good as we were excited to try a new Brazilian steakhouse in the neighborhood for Thanksgiving so I made a reservation for noon on Open Table lo and behold I received an email from Open Table that the restaurant had cancelled the reservation without a phone call or reason for the cancellation. Quite upsetting to find out 1 day before Thanksgiving. However, we were surprised that we received phone calls and text messages from the one of the owners and multiple others from the restaurant to rectify the situation they were very apologetic for the confusion caused by open table as the said they never cancelled our reservation. The food is up to par with the other Brazilian steakhouses around the area. The salad bar blows the competition out of the water in terms of variety not just the standard salad options but they also had seafood. The meats were all well prepared and nicely seasoned. The restaurant is smaller however it's more intimate and very elegant. We will be back they will go above and beyond to make their customers happy.

Yelp
Service was great! Fantastic actually. But the meats didn't taste great and wasn't at all tender. For the price i expected way more.

Yelp
Been there 3 times in the past 2 months. Went last-minute for Thanksgiving 2024. Gloria A and all the staff worked hard to make a great and memorable dining experience for my wife and me. Plenty of other Brazilian Steakhouses in town, but this is our favorite.

Yelp
Great service and atmosphere. This place has more selections than other Brazilian restaurants as they also provide multiple seafood courses too. The food was great, and the cocktails were delicious!

Yelp
Very poor experience. We had reservations for 7:45 pm and were not seated until 8:05. The salad bar was packed and had a very long line. Additionally, we were seated directly under a dripping AC unit (as shown in the photo). Lastly, the desserts we ordered were completely frozen on the insider after we waited 20 mins for it to be served to us.

Yelp
Fantastic experience. An intimate Brazilian.steakhouse with all the amenities and quality of much larger venues. However, this one is an intimate affair in a perfectly sized dining room. The servers were there immediately when you needed something and floated into the background while you enjoy your meal. Very highly recommended!

Yelp
We were excited to try this new Brazilian steakhouse since it was close to our home. We were a little disappointed. Some positives were the salad bar. It was better than any other similar restaurant that I have been to. You honestly could just go and eat from this if you wanted. The negative has to do with the steaks/meat itself... burnt and dry. The ambiance isn't as "fancy" as other steakhouses so if you want a more casual vibe, this is your place. Overall, you could tell that they are still learning the ins and outs of their business. We would go again. Maybe it was just an off night.

Yelp
I love this restaurant. The ambiance is super, food so amazing, service top of the line. Santiago is amazing in making you feel at home. Pearl is just so professional.. it is definitely a restaurant you always want to come back. It is impossible to mentions everyone, but all make a heat team. Would I come back? Absolutely!!!!!! 100% recommended. Number one restaurant in San Antonio... my humble opinion. Make sure to call ahead in they is getting pretty busy!!!!!!!! Ms. Carrera. Carajillos are the best!!!!!!.

Yelp
This was our second visit, both times the food and service were excellent. The salad bar, bread, soup, seafood and meats are all the best. Eddie, Alea and Roman made sure we were well taken care of with great service. Avenida has become our favorite Brazilian Steakhouse, and we are already planning our next visit.

Natalie D.

Yelp
The food was good it included meats not typical to a Brazilian steakhouse, shrimp, scallops, salmon, tomahawk steak etc. some of the meat was overcooked and well under cooked. Salad bar and sides were good. Good wine selection.
