I've been wanting to come here ever since they opened. This location has seen about 3-4 different restaurants in the past 2 years. I don't really care what's here, as long as they serve good food and sticks around for a while. I will admit, their prices are a little bit on the high side, which is why it took me a while to visit them. What I do regret however, is allowing the prices from preventing me to visit this place sooner. I definitely have been missing out. While their items are still a little pricey, it's definitely worth it. The quality is there, and the customer service is great as well.
We started off with their leche de Tigre & and a pitcher of their chicha morada. I made sure the leche de tigre came spicy as well, but then I forgot, Mexico is the only Latin American country that actually serves spicy food. The rest, while the flavor is most definitely there, the spice level well never match Mexicos, and that includes Peru as well haha. The leche de Tigre was delicious though. It's basically the citrus marinade used to cook shrimp in ceviche. It was very sour, but I couldn't get enough of it. I would definitely order this again.
My wife ordered their Arroz con Pollo. It was served with rice cooked in cilantro sauce. The the rice was delicious and had a hint of citrus as well. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was served with Papa a la Huancaina.
I ordered their Lomo Saltado. This is the dish that earned them their 5 stars. You get beef tenderloin sautéed with onions, tomatoes, fries and a side of white rice. The fries are mixed in the dish, but the beef tenderloin strips were very tender, and so flavorful. The dish itself was also very filling. I would probably blame the fries for that though. They also offered us Aji Amarillo sauce which was quite flavorful as well. I dipped the fries in it and even poured some over the dish. Overall a very delicious meal. I wouldn't hesitate returning.
