I visited Avenue Brunch House a while back with my wife and my sister in law and we had a great experience. The atmosphere inside is warm, clean, and welcoming, with a very comfortable layout and a relaxing vibe. It is the kind of place where you can sit, talk, and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. The food was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. We all tried different meals and each plate came out looking great and tasting even better. The portions were generous and everything was seasoned well. You can tell they put effort into their recipes and presentation. The brunch options had a lot of variety which made it fun to choose and easy to find something for everyone. What really stood out was how enjoyable the overall experience was. It felt like a place made for good company and good food. We left full and happy, and it is definitely a spot we would return to again. If you are looking for a relaxed and tasty brunch place, this is a solid choice.

First of all, the Beignets were delicious. I had the Fried Salmon, Shrimp, and Grits and it was very good. I wish the Shrimp was cooked a lil more, but still good. My husband had the Chicken and Waffles and he loved it. They portions were really good for the prices. We just didn't like that our waitress took our order and after we got our food, she never came back. We didn't get a refill on our coffee, we couldn't get napkins. We had to ask someone else for to-go containers and then she came back with the bill. But, overall, I'll go back for sure.

We came here for brunch, and everything was absolutely delicious — and all halal! We tried the Benedict fried chicken and waffles, spicy honey chicken and waffles, pancakes, and the watermelon mint lemonade. Every single dish was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and taste. Our server, Venessa, was excellent — friendly, attentive, and calm even though the place was super busy. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and I even noticed a manager or owner walking around smiling and checking in with guests, which added such a nice touch. Overall, this was one of the best halal brunch experiences I’ve had in Michigan. Everything from the food to the service was wonderful. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m visiting Michigan!

We had a big family brunch. The waitress handled it well for the most part. There was nothing to complain about other than the wait. The food was delectable. We are the type of people who can share with each other so I was able to taste many of the plates in 1 visit. The plates look great adding to the desire of eating and the smell teased the pallet. The food slapped. Everyone agreed.

The food was amazing! I had honey heat chicken and waffle with side of potatoes with peppers and onions. My Mother thoroughly enjoyed her Born Day treat of shrimp and grits with softly scramble eggs and toast, amazing! We had to take our food home we got full! Then we had peach cobbler! Oh my!

I was recommended this place by a friend at a business meeting. I as many humans do, love chicken & waffles. The chicken & waffles are amazing! I got the original and my wife got the hot honey. I was a bit let down cause the coffee was burnt. I don't put sugar in my coffee but I did today. I like a strong up but there is a difference in taste and aftertaste. Which drew away from how amazing the food was. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was busy yet pleasant.

The food was definitely worth the wait. While I am usually not a fan of waiting over an hour, it still did not take away from the overall experience of this restaurant. The food was so fresh and fulfilling. The scenery and atmosphere of the restaurant felt very cozy and warm. The waiting of the food was perfect. Overall, I will definitely returning.

Our first time visiting this beautiful place for brunch. Every thing we had was great in taste and flavourful. Our waitress Jessica was wonderful and well attentive! 🥰 My baby loved the beef bacon... Good food & service was great. Food arrived fairly soon & was hot & tasty. Parking was a bit challenging but we found the structure in the next block.

Food was amazing , the atmosphere was great and it was clean. The staff don't have very welcoming energy but their service was decent. We did not know they didn't have mimosas until we were on site , we googled mimosas and their restaurant popped up. Great food !

The food is absolutely amazing! They do need to do a better job with de-feathering the wings. The decor is nice. And I have never experienced an issue with service. It's very popular. Since they don't take reservations, wait times can be very long. But with good planning, it's not too bad.

I ate here twice while I was visiting Detroit with my wife. The first time I came alone on a Friday 24 minutes before closing time... I was thrilled that I was able to be seated and the staff didn't make me feel rushed... The second time eating here was two days later... I loved the atmosphere and food so much that I told my wife and we meet up for breakfast with her mom and two of her brothers. The Smoked Wings were great!!!!!!! The Plane Jane French Toast tastes amazing!!! My wife loved the Berrylicious Pancakes!

Once again AVENUE BRUNCH HOUSE for a win! This time made a visit with Hubby and he enjoyed his first time visit. We actually went earlier in the day so not wait time. Young lady that serviced our table was friendly and provided hubby with good feed back on menu dishes. I revisited shrimp and grits, so yummy! Hubby had Southwest Skillet and it was a true hit for him.

We had barely a wait when we went on Thursday at 11am, which was nice as we have tried to go here before when waits were just too long. I was excited to get the Detroiter sandwich, but wanted a scrambled egg instead of fried as I don't like yolks and was told no to this substitution. I was incredibly disappointed as that was what I really wanted. It wasn't conveyed to me if the fried egg was thoroughly cooked or why that simple cooking preference couldn't be honored. I ended up going for something cheaper and got a "standard breakfast" plate, which was meh. The toast was bland, only maple butter was given, so I did not butter it. I did request strawberry jelly when ordering, it wasn't originally given, but did ask for it again from the lady that delivered the food. The eggs were a generous portion, my dining companion got cheese in his, and they were a better flavor. The potatoes were ok, I love a house potato much more than a hashbrown, but many were overly crunchy, unfortunately. I would not order this plate again. Service was friendly, we were in and out in an hour and 10 minutes.

Halal breakfast place, very interesting. Never had beef bacon before. No pork is served here. Chicken and waffles were amazing. The waffle was served with sea salt maple butter and it was a mix of creamy, salty and sweet perfection. The chicken was marinated well and each bite needs no sauce bursting with flavor. Seasonal fruit bowl was cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, strawberries and blueberries- fresh and yummy. The decor was interesting artsy and modern combined. Clean bathrooms, efficient and fast service. Shout out to Shaye, our server-great service and friendly. Oh and btw, the portions are humongous! Absolutely a must for travelers and locals alike. Highly recommend!

Our server was Shay, We are excited to be back. This Cultural Blend Restaurant offers a NEVER disappointing, menu. This Is Also IMPORTANT--- We were a party of 8 and we were given separate checks YESSSSS We were made to feel at home from the moment we sat down Questions were answered for our 2 guests that had never been there before. Then the feast began

I see what the hype is about! The food here is quite delish! The service is attentive and worth the wait in line. Oh and the beignets are yummmm!! Certainly a spot I would frequent if I lived in the area?

Visited on a holiday Monday and it was fairly busy. The servers were up beat and seemed to enjoy working there. I loved the decor and homeyness of the place. Started off with the beignets and OMG I could eat these over and over again. They were flaky and sweet paired with a yummy dipping sauce. As my main I tried the chicken and waffles Benedict with cheesy hashbrowns as my side. I also ordered the Detroiter Sandwich. I will say the portion sizes are huge! They really piled on the chicken so I feel like the prices are nicely matched. I personally did not love the chicken, it was a bit overpowering and overwhelming on the dishes. The hashbrowns were cooked nicely however adding cheese made them really greasy and heavy. I would order them again just without cheese! Overall I would try some other menu items, like the pancakes I saw the table next to me order! At the very least I would go back for those beignets!

I was so very excited to try this place. I've heard a lot about and have seen many influencers talk about it online. The dining room is an open concept of medium size. Some of the tables literally feel like you're in the center of the room alone given how the majority of the seating is on the perimeter walls. But given the odd shaped multi-party table in the middle of the room that seems like it should be a bar but not a bar because they don't serve alcohol or mocktails, it makes the table seating bizarre. Nevertheless, the menu was extensive enough. My dining companions had the seafood omelette which was generous compared to other local establishments. They enjoyed it but for $27 they should right?!!! Right. We also had the fish & grits removing the items that contained shellfish. It was good but could have been served slightly warmer. Overall the restaurant was not as impressive as I had been envisioning based upon the others experiences. The dining room is a little run down and the walls could utilize repainting and tile repair in some areas.

It seems as if we always arrive at the right time, because we end up with the absolute best waitress every time except once. She is attentive, very thorough in her service, make sure she kept our cups full! Food is pretty good, the waffles, pancakes and French toast are the best things on the menu in my opinion. The shrimp and grits are ok, they need more flavor of something, the grits to everything else is not proportioned. It seems all the unseasoned grits take the flavor away from the meat/sauce. The fried seafood trio and grits were too salty, tried it the next time with the grilled trip and it was bland.

So this would be my second time at this place and let me say guys 10/10 recommend. Idc how long I have to wait baby I'm waiting. The food was amazing, like for real better than the first time I went. The place is very clean and nice modern looking the only thing is the front door is definitely right at the tables so winter time Dining is best in the back of the place. Summertime it's very cute cause they can open the doorway and windows up. My server was so sweet I wish I could remember her name. However let's move to the food I had cat fish and grits and they gave me all I needed I also had eggs scrambled and they were thee fluffiest I ever had so good.

The food was amazing amazing amazing! Yes I said that 3 times. The balance on the chicken seasoning and the sweetness of the waffles was on point. The syrup... I see what cha did there... was just right and balanced it all out, well done. The French toast was well balanced as well, the apple butter "like" topping and the crumble added a great touch, delicious! I can't wait to try something else from the menu. The ambiance was chill, upbeat and fast past, nice bustle about the place. One suggestion I would give is to look at the take out orders and the cooking times on tickets. I waited about 15 minutes in a very crowded space after the takeout order said it would be ready. Plus there really is no waiting area (when dining in) for a table to open up, or else it would get 5 stars... when I go back I will plan to dine in to see if we can bump this one up to 5 stars.

The food was absolutely amazing!! I went here for my birthday and was in heaven!! The food is so delicious, plentiful and very creatively made!! The staff were very nice and the prices are affordable! It's right across from a parking structure so that helps! My only complaint is the orange juice is too concentrated! My boyfriend had to mix it with a full 16oz glass of water in order to drink it!! Otherwise I would definitely recommend!

I have been a few times and I have always had a great experience the food is always hot and fresh. The building isn't that big so it is typically a long wait to be seated. I think it is worth the wait. The French toast was so good and flavorful, I love that have non pork meat options because I don't eat pork, the turkey sausage and beef bacon was great. I love their chicken and waffles. It's got a solid waffle with crisp and fluff and so much fried chicken haha. I don't have much else to say on that. The service has always been solid when I go and the ambiance is diner sleek? It's clean and nice and loud when it's busy.

Food and Service was excellent. Detroiter Sandwich and Loaded Brisket fries were phenomenal.

This place is so damn good there has to be a body in the freezer or it's buried on an old chinese egg roll. They hiding something man. This food so good I'm leaving my family so I can afford more shit on the menu. Man this was so good I'm mad I KNOW I'll be back to order more than I did now and I can't afford that. I gotta go my lady is over shoulder and I think I can semelle my two year olds disappointment BTW... Desiree was amazing and she is definitely not a sir!

Brunch all the time at crunch time all day here. You are able to smell the aromas from the parking lot. That is always an indication you are at good place. I love here also because it's always a good mixed crowd. It comes more alive with the service and nice clean bathrooms. The coffee is still good here I just can't believe I didn't post a review sooner. That's is all. Chief There are 2 types of Yelpers I understand. Those I enjoy having as friends and those that I throat punch for making passes at my wife.

OMG!! Coffee and beignets to start the meal! Beignets brought back memories of Cafe du Monde!! I had the Avocado Toast w two sunny side up eggs and a sweet chili seasoning. A flavor explosion Positive and happy vibe Staff super friendly A must do when in town

This place was so good. We loved every thing about it. I had the best smoothie ever and my bf loved his grits and catfish. We will be back. Great service and a fun atmosphere.

Faster than expected seating time for 5. Great ambiance. Fast service and attention. Food portions were huge I wasn't able to finish my French toast. As a matter of fact, no one was able to finish their meal.

Food is amazing but huge and the host was very nice and kind and ambiance was okay but too loud and congested but overall everything was great and love the food and I would recommend anyone to come and eat .. the wait was little bit long but it was worth it and their service is phenomenal

Super tasty! Great place for brunch! Expect a wait. There is usually an hour wait unless you get there early. The interior is very nice and modern with wood accents. Large windows with a lot of natural light.

Waited too long for food, so I left made a reservation. Showed up early waited the 30 minutes, went to beyond juice great service. Came back was seated only a party of three, everyone whom was seated behind us was eating first. Waited on water twenty minutes. She told us we would be served soon after they get the party next to us served, which was a party of Six. While dealing with a very unruly little girl. Beautiful little girl about 7 jumping around every where. The way she was running around I thought she was a boy. While her dad got himself a young chick, he all into. They ignoring this little girl, and she's doing whatever to get some attention. I got a bad show with no food. Menu looks awesome really wanted to try a few thing on there, but my experience was horrible.

This sandwich was awesome!!! Our food came out fresh and hot. Service was also good. Great place to check out if you're in the area.

Avenue Brunch House is the quintessential breakfast place. Before traveling back home after a road trip to the Tigers game we stopped in for breakfast. The atmosphere was very welcoming, server was professional yet friendly and the food was exceptional. We will definitely stop back and spread the word.

After many years of feeling disappointed in restaurant options near Detroit Metro Airport, I finally discovered Avenue Brunch House! This was my second visit, and I plan to make it my first stop every time I fly into town. They have an extensive menu that includes omelets, creative pancake and waffle options, and Benedicts along with some lunch options. The chicken and waffles are my favorite item which comes with 4 nice sized pieces over a fluffy Belgian waffle. This time, however, I enjoyed the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. The decor is inspiring with beautiful murals and quotes from Anthony Bourdain and LeBron James. It seems to be a local favorite as it was crowded both times I came for brunch on a Friday. My only critique is that they could use some new menus. The current menus are worn and peeling on the edges from overuse.

The food itself had good flavoring but it's not a place I would recommend to any out-of-town guest. The wait time was ridiculous at two hours; this place is not ready for the business they get and the amount people who shows up. Personal we will not be back.

I absolutely love trying out new brunch places. I was visiting my best friend and we landed on Avenue Brunch house. I'm a massive breakfast fan and while he's not he was excited to go here for the chicken and waffles. We were impressed with the selections of chicken and waffle since they had different kinds. We started off with there beignets, great get them, you'll love them. We both got iced lavender lattes which were wonderful, he got the heat chicken and waffles while I got the cin-a-mon French toast. Everything tasted great. Took off a star because I wasn't a fan of our seats. There a large island in the middle of the restaurant, where groups of people are sitting and while it wasn't the worst I've never been a communal sitter. I actively avoid places with communal seating but everything else was wonderful so I'd easily go again.

Food was nasty and they only gave me $5 off when I didn't even eat my food. The fish wasn't even cleaned well or cooked fully

Beignets were phenomenal! It arrived with caramel and a raspberry jam. They were crunchy yet soft and ya gotta get it. I went with the El Camino omelette and it was also delicious. The jalapeno cheddar beef sausage made this an absolute must. The country potatoes it came with were perfectly complimentary. Very nice looking restaurant and the staff was all helpful as well.

The food was amazing at this place. The service was also great. I had a hair in my smoothie and the waitress removed it from my bill with no problem. The ambiance was great and the restaurant decor was cute. I would consider coming back if the wait wasn't so long.

I really wanted to love this place. It was busy and there was a short wait for brunch on Friday morning. One thing that irritated me was that their espresso machine was down, so you could only order drip coffee. Also, their menu had a lot of Chef specials in category, but they only had one available, which was the PB&J French toast. I ordered the shakshuka, with over medium eggs. The server mentioned that it wasn't a traditional take on the dish and that it didn't have vegetables in it, which was fine by me. Shakshuka- On first glance, the dish didn't have the grilled sliced baguette as was in the menu description. Rather, it had toast points that weren't able to hold up to the sauce and it was not enjoyable. Additionally, the server asked how I wanted my eggs to be cooked, and I wanted them to be over medium. They were served over easy, with totally runny yolks. There was a nice heat to the sauce with a sprinkling of cheese, although I don't think it was cotija cheese as described in the menu, but rather cheddar. I did try someone's PB&J French toast which was delicious, with a crispy outside and fluffy inside. The peanut butter helps cuts back on the sweetness. Finally, if you are a party over 4, they will add a 20% service charge. However, that doesn't mean they won't try to ask you into tipping more when you pay with the QR code. This particularly irked me since the service was poor, with us needing to flag down the server for water and other essentials. Not sure if I would return here given the other delicious food options around the area

Be prepared for an extensive wait. They do not take reservations or call ahead seating. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean and well managed. Some tables feature a street view. Avoid the table next to the hostess stand. It gets crowded by patrons waiting for tables. Ambiance includes high and low top seating with square table tops and booths. There is no bar/alcohol. The food is so good that you won't care. Fresh ingredients and sizable portions. The server was nice, but not the most attentive. It's a busy season and we assumed she was overwhelmed. Surrounding team members pitched in to ensure we had what we needed. Seems like a supportive working environment which is a big plus. We will be back our next visit to Michigan.

I've been here at least 3 times and each time I try a different dish. The portions are large, you will take something home unless you're extremely hungry. Per usual it's usually crowded but if you can stand the wait, it's worth it. The servers are very attentive and they allow modifications to your dish. A must visit if you're in Dearborn!

This place is so good! They can get very busy though, so make sure you arrive early to put yourself on the waiting list. They offer brunch items and they are really creative and explosive flavors. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. We had the fish and grits and the chicken and waffles and we were not disappointed. We had great service and will be coming back!

Wow!!! I'm in Detroit for the buffalo bills game, my granddaughter found this place on ticktock, in her words " absolutely spectacular " the pictures don't do it justice, the place is a well oiled machine, we were seated right away, table for 6, we ordered peach cobbler pancakes, catfish and grits, Louisiana trio, cinnamon French toast, the sausage is beef or turkey, jalapeño, everything we ordered came out quick, and was delicious, beignets and breakfast egg rolls with the dipping sauces, if you want a great brunch here's yours place! Hopefully they won't charge the cooks before you get there, the place is tight for seating, service was on point, the portions are huge and the prices are not bad

We decided to switch things up with a later brunch at Avenue Brunch House and it absolutely did not disappoint! Despite being completely packed and buzzing, the service was truly excellent. A huge shoutout to the incredibly hardworking woman greeting everyone at the door; she is the epitome of sweet and warm hospitality. Amazingly, she remembers returning customers, which adds such a personal touch and makes you feel special. The atmosphere here is like nowhere else! It was wonderful to see couples, families, and groups of friends (some even color-coordinated!) all laughing, talking, and genuinely having a good time. With all the heaviness in the world, Avenue Brunch House provided a much needed pause, a real moment of joy and community without the weight of current events. The food was phenomenal across the board. I actually love their grits better than the ones I've had in New Orleans! Creamy perfection. Chicken skillet was flavourful, hearty, and completely fulfilling. Chicken & Waffle had a perfect balance, crispy chicken, fluffy waffle, just right. Avenue Brunch House has quickly become a definite favorite for me, my family, and my friends. Delicious food, an uplifting atmosphere, and service that shines even when they're slammed. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is nice and like "homey" on the inside.e and my party took forever to order because everything looked and sounded so good. I ended up ordered the southwest skillet, my cousin ordered the honey heat fried chicken with the donut waffle, the other a standard breakfast with pancakes in the side. And I had a Razzamataz smoothie and they had an Oreo milkshake and mango smoothie. Our food was hot fresh and delicious. The chicken inside the skillet itself was seasoned and cooked very well, and the skillet all together was very flavorful. The fried chicken and donut waffle was surprisingly very good they complement eachother very well. The drinks were good as well. The Razzamatazz is a very berry tasting smoothie so if you don't like berries that much it's not the one for you. Our server was patient and helpful with us as well 10/10 definitely will come back and highly recommend

Overall: excellent presentation and flavor. The Detroit sandwich is a new twist on breakfast sandwiches. Sweet, salty, and savory. The best combination. The grits were enjoyable as well The shaved steak sandwich looked excellent but I didn't order it. The Raspberry smoothie was flavorful. The whip cream and drizzled sauce are the way to go. My wife had the egg white frittata but it had a little too much cheese. She also had the Sinamin pancakes and they were HUGE. No side pancakes available. The hostesses were kind and friendly to answer any questions. Our waitress was present and helpful. The interior was clean, pleasant, and at a dull roar from the customers. Good for groups, and couples.

Went to this place for brunch on my birthday. A little small inside for how busy this place gets. The food is very good will definitely go again.

Across the board, one of the best breakfast experiences I've had in a long time. The food was exceptional, and the beignets - just amazing, and the service, care of Shay was outstanding. And all of this was in a perfectly enjoyable atmosphere that was bright, artistic and all around excellent! While I do not recall the greeter's name, it was thanks to him that we tried and enjoyed the beignets! SO GOOD! This was phenomenal in every category!

This was a great experience! I ordered the el Camino burrito and it was excellent! Service was top notch as well. The butter for my toast was sweet and actually my favorite part, I don't know what they do to it but I need more of it!
