Aves NYC completely blew me away. From the moment we sat down, everything was flawless, fresh, vibrant, beautifully presented, and unbelievably delicious. We started with their Mango Sticky Rice drink, and WOW… it was soooo good. Creamy, refreshing, and honestly one of the best drinks I’ve had in the city. For appetizers, we tried the Mango Avocado Salad, Sweet Coconut Tiger Prawn, and the Tom Yum Crabmeat Croquettes, each one unique, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with fresh flavor. Our entrees were next-level. The Persimmon BBQ Glazed Beef Short Rib was tender and rich, the Pineapple Lychee Curry Duck had the perfect balance of sweet heat, the Crying Tiger with Garlic Rice was insanely flavorful, and the showstopper, the Aves Signature Golden Cage Duck, was both stunning to look at and even better to eat. Every dish was cooked perfectly and surprisingly light and easy to digest. We finished with the Banana & Nutella Spring Rolls, and it was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. ✨ Special Shoutout to Our Server, Wagner Wagner was truly exceptional, it felt like having an angel watching over us the entire night. His attention to detail, warmth, and genuine care elevated the whole experience. He made everything feel effortless and unforgettable. Aves NYC is lucky to have him! I had such a great experience! The food is delicious with a perfectly balanced spice and the service is truly amazing. The environment is great, the staff were incredibly friendly and were very attentive. Portions were generous, prices reasonable and all of the dishes we had are absolutely delicious!! Very worth revisiting.

One of the staff members (pictured) was especially kind and attentive, ensuring everything went smoothly. The food? Absolutely delicious. We also had the Thai-Style Grilled Fish, and it was unforgettable. The fish was expertly grilled—moist and tender on the inside, with a lightly charred, flavorful exterior. Served with aromatic herbs and a zesty dipping sauce, it captured the essence of authentic Thai street food but with a refined twist. You could taste the freshness and care in every bite. The service was equally impressive—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell the team at AVES truly takes pride in what they do. I’ll keep this one short: my Pad Thai noodles were not fully cooked, and the chewiness was distracting from the rest of the dish. The Tiger Eye dish with ribeye steak was cooked extremely well—very tender with rice topped with egg. Our service was very positive and attentive, but at times overwhelmingly so. Great atmosphere and really good with kids (although I might not bring them back with me).

My friend celebrated her birthday with us yesterday, and the experience was phenomenal. The Peking duck is the absolute highlight: beautifully roasted, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and served in the most artistic presentation I’ve ever seen — inside a golden birdcage. It’s hands-down the most authentic and exquisite duck in New York. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted. The papaya salad was light, crisp, and refreshing; the soft shell crab was perfectly fried and bursting with flavor. But one surprise standout? The tofu. Silky smooth with a savory depth that’s hard to come by — even tofu skeptics will be converted. The space itself is elegant and tastefully designed, making it perfect for intimate dinners or celebratory gatherings. On top of that, the team behind this place is warm, passionate, and genuinely dedicated to creating something special. Highly, highly recommend. This isn’t just a meal — it’s a moment.

The interior blew me away immediately with its elegant and calm atmosphere! It really takes you away from the bustle of the city and is great as a post museum date post since it’s in the UWS close to the Metropolitan Museum of Arts or Nat History. We liked the soft shelled crab curry the most but will also highlight the crispy pork belly.

Definitely a hidden gem on the Upper West Side! I haven’t seen this info online much, but for happy hour, the restaurant offers $4 beers, $8 wine, 30% off cocktails, and 25% off wings and calamari at the bar- talk about a steal. The Tom Yum Chicken Wings may have been my favorite bite of the night- tangy, savory, packed with a punch of flavor. We also enjoyed the Aves Pecking Duck which was tender and served with authentic pancakes, dipping sauce, and scallions + cucumbers. You can’t find pecking duck at many places in the city, and this was a treat. Other highlights were definitely the Drunken Noodle with Ribeye (this ribeye was great) and the Mango Avocado Salad (so refreshing!) Overall, we were very impressed by Aves. Everything from the service to the food and ambiance was fantastic. The space feels very welcoming and upscale, but this meal won’t break your bank.

Great new neighborhood spot! Vibe is fresh, food is all on point and can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Saw someone order the duck and ooooof, will need that next. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Cocktails were also delicious.
