Aves NYC completely blew me away. From the moment we sat down, everything was flawless, fresh, vibrant, beautifully presented, and unbelievably delicious. We started with their Mango Sticky Rice drink, and WOW… it was soooo good. Creamy, refreshing, and honestly one of the best drinks I’ve had in the city. For appetizers, we tried the Mango Avocado Salad, Sweet Coconut Tiger Prawn, and the Tom Yum Crabmeat Croquettes, each one unique, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with fresh flavor. Our entrees were next-level. The Persimmon BBQ Glazed Beef Short Rib was tender and rich, the Pineapple Lychee Curry Duck had the perfect balance of sweet heat, the Crying Tiger with Garlic Rice was insanely flavorful, and the showstopper, the Aves Signature Golden Cage Duck, was both stunning to look at and even better to eat. Every dish was cooked perfectly and surprisingly light and easy to digest. We finished with the Banana & Nutella Spring Rolls, and it was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. ✨ Special Shoutout to Our Server, Wagner Wagner was truly exceptional, it felt like having an angel watching over us the entire night. His attention to detail, warmth, and genuine care elevated the whole experience. He made everything feel effortless and unforgettable. Aves NYC is lucky to have him! I had such a great experience! The food is delicious with a perfectly balanced spice and the service is truly amazing. The environment is great, the staff were incredibly friendly and were very attentive. Portions were generous, prices reasonable and all of the dishes we had are absolutely delicious!! Very worth revisiting.

Great food, a little on the spicy side, but very tasty. Drunken noodles were spicy so ask for it without the jalapeños. The lychee creme brûlée was the best desert.

The bar at Aves is honestly one of the best surprises in the Upper West Side. Nothing basic about the drinks here. They have real personality, layers of flavor, and spot-on execution. And the reason it all works is Jessi, the bartender. She runs that bar with a rare mix of skill, attention, and natural charisma. I ordered the Infusion Highball and it was perfect. Super fresh, balanced, and with a finish that makes you want another immediately. Her instinct is unreal. She picks up your taste right away and adjusts the drink like she has known you for years. Her attention to detail is on another level. You can feel the care in every part of the drink, from the aroma to the very last sip. If you want something legit, unique, and a bar experience that actually delivers, go to Aves and sit at the bar. And make sure you get a drink made by Jessi. She makes the whole night better.

We also had the Thai-Style Grilled Fish, and it was unforgettable. The fish was expertly grilled—moist and tender on the inside, with a lightly charred, flavorful exterior. Served with aromatic herbs and a zesty dipping sauce, it captured the essence of authentic Thai street food but with a refined twist. You could taste the freshness and care in every bite. The service was equally impressive—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell the team at AVES truly takes pride in what they do. I’ll keep this one short: my Pad Thai noodles were not fully cooked, and the chewiness was distracting from the rest of the dish. The Tiger Eye dish with ribeye steak was cooked extremely well—very tender with rice topped with egg. Our service was very positive and attentive, but at times overwhelmingly so. Great atmosphere and really good with kids (although I might not bring them back with me).

It’s hands-down the most authentic and exquisite duck in New York. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted. The papaya salad was light, crisp, and refreshing; the soft shell crab was perfectly fried and bursting with flavor. But one surprise standout? The tofu. Silky smooth with a savory depth that’s hard to come by — even tofu skeptics will be converted. The space itself is elegant and tastefully designed, making it perfect for intimate dinners or celebratory gatherings.
