The best restaurant in the Syracuse area. Absolutely top-notch, delicious, delectable—every single bite, every single time. I’ve had the NY strip, filet mignon, seafood, fish, risotto, pasta, and various potato and vegetable sides. Really impressive and amazing every single time. The best fries. The best potatoes. The best entrees. Keep doing what you’re doing!

Recently came here for a friend’s birthday- Absolutely amazing! The clams provencal was a great start and would definitely recommend that. The pizza was SO delicious - unique flavors & perfectly charred. We couldn’t get over it. Our server, Noah, was great as well. He was extremely accommodating. Will definitely be coming back!

Vanessa Patino

Google
Absolutely amazing food. Tasty and delicious! The portions were enough for leftovers as well! The service was great.

Google
Amazing experience- Emma was our waitress, literally nothing but amazing things to say! Very attentive to our son, happy personality and very kind while having great work ethics, the whole team was great. Our food came out fast, it was exactly as we hoped it would be. Mike brought our food out and was very polite as well.

I really liked the pizza but the pasta wasn’t my favorite. The donut cheesecake was amazing though.

Google
Does not disappoint! All around excellent food, quality ingredients and an extensive menu. A new favorite in the area since moving here. Service was spot on, our server Michael was friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere with an outdoor seating area that was comfortable and shaded and had fans. We couldn’t have asked for more — a perfect evening. 5/5 stars!

We came here for Mother's Day. The food was delicious, and the serving sizes were generous. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. The tables were decorated beautifully, but we felt there wasn't enough room for the gorgeous flowers. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you would like to enjoy delicious authentic Italian food!

We went there for dinner last night. Sat in the patio section. Our waitress Jessica was super friendly and very accommodating. She made sure our first there was great.. The food was amazing... reasonably priced. I see avicollis being a weekly thing.

Yelp
Restaurant is set up with a bar area with high tops, inside the main Restaurant plus outdoor patio seating. Sofi was a very good server. Utica Greens were OK. Not your typical greens but they were good. Wouldn't order them again. Special Summer Peach Salmon was good but Salmon was a hair overcooked. Lobster Americaine Fettucini was good, however going to try something else next time as they have an extensive menu with great choices. Nice craft beer and wine selections. Was very busy for a Tuesday so suggest reservations. We decided last minute so was lucky to get right in.

Yelp
The Avicolli family migrated to the U.S. from Isernia Italy in 1972 bringing with them old family recipes used for generations and still used today in our restaurants and in our homes. Avicolli's originally opened in Liverpool, NY in 1983 with Avicolli's Coal Fire following in August 2019. Their intention was to bring a bit of NYC to CNY by featuring the first ever coal fired oven in the area. My wife and I don't get to the Fayetteville area very much, but we had to drive through to an event in Cazenovia and stopped in for dinner. It was about 4:30PM on a Sunday and were sat immediately and greeted by our server. We had already looked over the menu, so we knew what we wanted, and ordered a full order of the honey garlic rosemary coal fired wings and a 12" simply sausage pizza. My wife also ordered a margarita. Our food was delivered quickly and everything was good. The wings were large and cooked well, we liked the sauce even though it was a little sweeter than I would've liked. The pizza was good, although a little soft in the middle. When we were first sat, there were very few other tables there, but the restaurant filled quickly, and it took a while for our server to come back to the table after we were done eating and waiting to ask for a box. When he did come back, he apologized for the wait and told us he had my wifes drink removed from the bill for the wait - something we didn't ask for, but definitely appreciated. Prices were reasonable, food was good, service was good. We'd go back if in the area again.

Yelp
I don't typically like to leave a negative review, but we are regulars that have gone here for years & know the staff that they have been able to keep for any length of time, quite well. And they should really have had their LEAD Barmaster teach her the underlings how to make a decent martini before the Mgts rash decisions. Because there is not a single other soul on staff that knows what they are doing behind that bar & we will be headed to The Craftsman for a well made cocktail from now on. Rookie Mistake. Lose in the long run when you lose the regulars. The food is decent. But the VIBE just died on 4/3/2025 Nick. We will chat if we stop by again. Poor management, the only bartender that knew her head from a hole in the ground is apparently gone. Order food ONLY. I'd recommend take out pizza. She made the best dirty martini I've tasted locally. When she's not there, half the time I've been served a dirty w vodka? Or they taste terrible. Then you have to drink their bottom shelf wine that they charge a fortune for. And I'm not going out for an upscale dinner without a nice cocktail. I can't begin to say how many of my patients I've recommended Avicolli's to. You may no longer count on my good word, either.

Yelp
This is a busy place, even on a Sunday! I popped in around 4pm as a solo diner before a work event. This is definitely a great place to meet family or friends for dinner. The host said they didn't have any seats available for 1 and requested that I sit at the bar. If I had more time, I would have started with the French onion or wedding soup. The massive meatballs also looked delish. I went with the chicken marsala. It was less sweet, more of a winey and black pepper flavor. I picked fettuccine pasta for my side with Marsala sauce. It was a bit too al dente for my liking. Would I order it again? Probably not.

Yelp
We had a great dinner here tonight. I was surprised they still had their winter drink menu out, but I guess the weather has not reflected spring consistently yet. It was quite busy, but our server was attentive. My skinny marg was delish and much needed after a long day. I got the swordfish special. It was enough for two meals and full of flavor. The asparagus and lemon-jasmine rice really complimented it well. I tried my friend's bourbon salmon with butternut risotto and that was on par too. My other friend got pizza that he said was great. They have a large menu, so I had difficulty choosing. I would definitely come back to try more of their options.

Yelp
We had a late dinner on Mother's Day. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Delicious margarita! The chicken Cesaer salad and pizzas were delicious. We will definitely go again.

Carol T.

Yelp
The food never disappoints. Our server, Danielle, went above and beyond to make our dining experience pleasurable. We highly recommend Avicolli's and definitely would recommend having Danielle as your server. We will be back!

Yelp
Camping at green lake state park and didn't feel like cooking tonight. In the mood for take out pizza tonight, the first time we ever did that. Great pizza, tastes better than it looks.

Yelp
Three for lunch...one Fish Sandwich, one Chicken Parm Sandwich, and one Chicken Parm entree. Reasonable wait time for food. Everyone was pleased with their food...except the side of pasta that accompanied the Chicken Parm. Pasta was overcooked and the marinara sauce was really acidic/bitter -- had two bites and gave up. Everything else was tasty and one of us even took some home for leftovers! Restaurant was clean and reasonably bright on a rainy afternoon.

Phil P.

Yelp
Their pizza is fantastic, and I usually have a great meal here. The place is always busy, which says a lot. The vodka pasta is spot on, and I really enjoy the wings appetizer and the calamari. They have some outdoor seating too if thats your thing. The staff have always been friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I had a short road trip to Syracuse with my wife to visit some of her family there, and they wanted us to try Avicolli's and made a reservation for us at 6 PM. We arrived just before our appointed reservation (maybe 5:50-5:55). Upon entering you feel a great ambiance in the restaurant - nice lighting, clean and neat appearance, nice decor, and the smells were amazing. Unfortunately, our table wasn't available for about 10-15 minutes. Once seated our server came quickly and got our drink orders - unfortunately they were out of one of the local brewery beers I wanted to try, but I ordered a different local option. I really couldn't help but order the Rigatoni Bolognese - I love a good rigatoni and a good bolognese is awesome. My wife had a stuffed rigatoni dish. Overall, the food was pretty good, although my wife's dish was overly greasy, maybe too much olive oil. Once our order came, the server never really checked back with us for a long time, so that was a little disappointing, but overall it was a good experience, and I'd probably go back again. We didn't try any desserts, as we had something waiting back at the family's house.

Yelp
I enjoy writing reviews when service is great.I don't like writing negative reviews but sometimes it's necessary. I travel from Fl to Fayetteville, Ny about once a month and the proximity of Avicolli's makes it very tempting to go. When I first started traveling to the area, I was told to stay away from here because the kitchen was very dirty. I saw on yelp that since 2023 the health rating had improved quite a bit so I thought I would give it a shot. My hope with this review is the restaurant does something about it but when I was there, I noticed dirt and dust everywhere. The tables and bar top might've been cleaned off, but that was about it. Nothing behind the bar is cleaned nothing on top of the bar is dusted fans are running and blowing dirt around and it's so visible that the thought of ordering food turned my stomach. I have friends and family that want to go here, they enjoyed the food in the past. so again my hope is that the restaurant sees this review and does something to clean up.

Yelp
I had the Avicolli's burger and it was fantastic! My wife had a normal deluxe burger and she was more than satisfied. The fries were delicious and fresh! They have a nice selection of beer. Waitress was more than nice! Everyone was so nice. I will say it was a little crammed inside but it was very nice. We will probably be back to try more! We also got a large cheese pizza to go for the kids. It turned out that it's a margarita style pizza. It's not bad pizza but is just not my favorite kind of pizza at all! Also reservations are recommended!!!!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem, out of a Billy Joel Song. Great Martinis, Fresh Bread sourced locally, delicious appetizers. By this point in the dinner I could have said I'm good and full at this point, but I had to show respect and push on through like Tony would have. The main course, linguine(not from a box) with a home Diablo sauce and all the seafood. And finished off with a cannoli an espresso.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice casual place. Pizza is very good. Very acceptable draft beer selection. Something for everyone. If you're in Fayetteville NY, stop by for some pizza

Giulia L.

Yelp
BURNT pizza. not charred coal-fire, but BLACK BURNT! SO GROSS, other dishes are "ok." but prefer real authentic at Francesca's cucina.

Yelp
I had a business lunch and picked this place. We started with the arancini or rice balls. There were excellent. The sauce they served with it was average but the arancini were great. My coworker got one of their fancy burgers. He said and I quote "this is the best burger I have ever had". I had a mortadella sandwich with burrata. It was fantastic. My other co-worker had the cutlet sandwich with roasted peppers and he raved about it as well. I saw the pizza at another table and I wish I would have brought one home. I can't wait to go back here and try more menu items. This place is elite unlike me. Service was great and it's very modern inside.

Lorraine L.

Yelp
We really enjoy the coal fire pizza and relaxed atmosphere at the bar and not to mention the expressso martini's there!

S L G.

Yelp
I am very disheartened by the recent negative reviews. They must be from a disgruntled former employee. Avicolli's is our favorite restaurant. We have never had a bad meal and have been going there at least 4-5 times a month since they opened. The food is outstanding, the service is great, and the owner is onsite checking to make sure everything runs smoothly. Don't let one person destroy a fabulous restaurant's reputation and rating.

Steven A.

Yelp
Our daughter and 15 of her friends were there Saturday night (8th) celebrating her b-day. Everyone working was/is beyond professional and staff were excited so that was fun to see/hear. As well, a HUGE help for our budget was that they allowed us to order dishes that could be shared. Dishes of pasta and some pizza was plenty (all got their own drinks of course). She even had some leftovers which are amazing three days later! Thank you Avicollis!

Yelp
Super cute restaurant in the heart of Fayetteville. The drink, food, and dessert menu all have so many choices!! I ordered a berry mule (not on the menu, had to ask) which was super tasty. My date and I split the lobster arancini to start which was so fresh and flavorful- we used the rest of generous serving of sauce to dip our complimentary bread in. We then split the chicken prosciutto and bolognese. The chicken prosciutto was perfectly cooked and reminded me of chicken cordon bleu. The bolognese was saucy and meaty, 8.5/10. My favorite part and the only part I remembered to take pictures of: Dessert. We split the red velvet tower and the peanut butter pie.. both to die for!! You can't go wrong with any dessert you choose there.

Yelp
The food is amazing. We are particularly fond of the Eggplant Parm but everything is really good. It has a great ambiance and a lovely summer patio. The waitstaff is very friendly and accommodating!. .

Lyn D.

Yelp
My family and I had dinner recently. The place was packed! Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Took our orders, with a few changes and left. Our wait time was over 45 minutes. We all wanted another round of drinks but could not find our server so the water gent!mean took our order. That took forever. When we finally got out dinners we were all disappointed and unimpressed. The food, we mainly had a Sea Bass offering, was VERY over seasoned and all we could taste was garlic. Sorry to say probably won't be going back any time soon. A good chef doesn't mask his food, but rather keeps it simple and brings out its natural flavor.

Rhiannon P.

Yelp
Parking was very easy, restaurant was adorable and very accomodating to our large party. The food was DELICIOUS. Portion sizes are large so bring your appetite and save some for left overs. I'm extremely excited to go back. Service was extremely patient and lovely. We felt very comfortable with our waitress, and our party arrangements. Would recommend to anyone craving Italian!

Yelp
Every once in a while, I go to a restaurant or bar where one employee decides whether I will be back again. I asked about our favorite bartender last evening and was told by the bar staff that she was fired. First of all that is internal business that should not be discussed with customers. Secondly you made a huge mistake. Food for thought keep your great employees working and remember that customers control your success meter. I will be visiting less or even not at all. Everything has always been good but sometimes it is your people that make the difference between success and failure. If you don't believe me look at how many different restaurants have been at that address.

R W.

Yelp
This place has grown on me. It can get busy. And service can fall off if it's busy enough but all in all this place is solid. Food is consistent. Place has a nice vibe. And it's generally worth a stop.

Yelp
Great place. Has a very cool date night vibe to it, even on a Saturday afternoon - as evidenced by the romantic music subtly playing. Their selection of pizzas is incredible. We had a nice one with fresh mozzarella and prosciutto, and it was exactly what we needed. I had a delicious one with truffle oil, and I'm still thinking about it. My uncle declared the meatballs some of the best meatballs he ever had. I'll be back.

Yelp
Wow, what an amazing find after a hike at nearby Green Lakes State Park. Only 8 minutes from the park. The seating outside was perfect though the inside looked very inviting as well. We both enjoyed our beverages, but hers was especially nice as it was a paloma made with high quality fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. We started with a Lobster Arancini, which incorporated the lobster into the sauce for just the right flavor balance. We then shared the Capri Pizza which had a great combination of toppings and a perfect coal fired crust. Wow! Our server was awesome, allowing us time to relax and enjoy our beverages and food courses without ignoring us at the same time. Lastly, the warm, crusty bread with homemade garlic herb butter was a nice surprise to start the meal off. We highly recommend this restaurant and only wish we lived in the area.

Yelp
Amazing food and abundant portions for a very fair price. The El Fresco dining only added to the experience. Started dinner the an appetizer that was entree portion size. The vodka sauce was exceptional! I had the carb & baratta as my dinner and brought half home as the portions were generous. I likely would not have the crab again but it was delicious but my husband's dinner was better. He had the pot roast which was in a very rich ragu. The carrots melted in your mouth and I hope to recreate this dish at home as we live many hours away and were visiting The area. Highly recommend this place for any traveler. We both are bringing half our dinners home.

Yelp
I came here for lunch with my husband and in laws on a Saturday afternoon after visiting Green Lakes. We were able to get parking right on the street outside the restaurant and get seated at a table. There menu was pretty large and there were options for everyone. The portions were quite large, especially for lunch, and the food was good. Our waiter was also very attentive and made sure to check on us often. I'd recommend getting a 12 inch pizza, the crust was crispy and the toppings didn't weight it down too much. I recommend a stop in!

Barbie B.

Yelp
Our server was great, we really enjoyed talking with her ....we went on a slow day at lunchtime....entree seemed like warmed leftovers, a little on the dry side...no bread, no side salads, we would have ordered, even with an upcharge, but just not offered. The interior and ambiance was nice. Maybe dinnertime, weekends would offer a better chance.

Emily S.

Yelp
Everything is wonderful about this place! The service is excellent and they are very accommodating. Atmosphere is great and the outdoor patio is so relaxing.... They food was very good and a great place for fire oven cookin'! Fun!

Yelp
Nice Italian restaurant located in Fayetteville, NY. With large indoor setting area and a small outside seating area both in the front and in the back in a little garden area. During our visit we were sat inside. There is an average size dining area. Service was good and prompt. We ordered a few cocktails which were all good. Dinner came with bread which was pretty good. We ordered the Charcuterie board to share, which was very large and more meant for 3-4 people but also had a lot of stuff I think they could have did without like the big peppers. For dinner I got the shrimp scampi which was really flavorful and my husband got the special of the night which was a Cajun pasta and he really enjoyed it. By the time we left we were very full. It was a nice place to eat and I will likely be back. Good place for date night.
google avatar

Yelp
Thought I would try this place...glad I did! They didn't have the Coal-Fired wings in honey garlic rosemary but the bartender recommended garlic parm, which I am a huge fan of!! Delicious with chunks of garlic and cooked perfectly, loved them!!! The bartender, Katie, was very attentive. I definitely will be back.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Good pizza nice bar area. Service good. No tunes, needs a juke box. Sauce fresh, springs with garlic and basil. Real mozzarella cheese. Little pricey but within reason for the upscale area.

Dan S.

Yelp
Not sure where these low reviews are coming from. This place is special. We can nitpick about whether people would prefer slightly more crispy crust or not, but the flavors are top tier compared to any other local pizza spots. Compare their Margherita to other local basic pies. Most of them don't even come close. Great date night atmosphere. I've been a half a dozen times and the service has always been wonderful. Pizza takes 15 minutes if they're not too busy, so you can order a drink at the bar while you wait.
google avatar

Billy B.

Yelp
The calamari was very good! But sooo huge. It could easily be a substantial appetizer for a table of 6. The coal-fired touch was nice on the calzone, we took that home and enjoyed it for dinner. We were hoping for a little heat on the hot honey wings but that fell flat. If the wings were seasoned before glazed then that would've helped a lot. We were also thrown off a little by the burger... Menu said there was a red onion marmalade to go with the Bleu cheese but there were only a few pickled red onions. The marmalade would've gone well with the Bleu cheese but without it, it seemed to be overwhelming. We would go back to try some other items, another burger, and bring more people to get that calamari again!

Bob B.

Yelp
The food is good and the service is generally good. In can get chilly next to the west wall in the winter. Outside options in the summer.
google avatar

Samantha H.

Yelp
Stopped by Avicolli's earlier this summer and had an overall good meal. I was not very impressed with the beet salad as I think the beets were from a can, but the cost of the salad ($13.95) indicated they would be fresh. The bread/burrata/marinara appetizer was enjoyable but again really pricey ($15.95) for the size of the dish. Pizza and pasta on the other hand were very generous portions and both came out hot and fresh. Drinks were delicious but in general I paid more than I expected I might for this meal.
google avatar

Michael H.

Yelp
Ok, We had high hopes, pleasant atmosphere, small table setting for 4 people, 4 pages of drink menus 1 page of food options. Waitress ( Kelly ) was great, Calamari appetizer was a bit soggy, not very crispy, dinner size plates vary on the very small side. Seafood Fra Diavlo consisted of 3 Shrimp, 3 scallops 4 clams, 4 muscles and 1/4 cup of linguine which was clumped together, not stirred and inedible. Filet Mignon dinner which was supposed to be Medium well and Butter Flied came out not butter flied and Blu, went back to only come back butter flied and well done which was not edible. This is not a knock on the staff they tried but the restaurant failed in its quantity and quality aspect. May give them another shot but I am up in the air, probably not.. Especially considering that we were advised they'd take 1/2 the cost off the Filet dinner, they litteraly had 2 shots at cooking it correct and failed both times. Should have been no charge on that steak dinner. Seems to be a mixed bag, we had high hopes and they let us down.

Yelp
We had an excellent lunch at Avicolli's the other day. The outdoor patio is handicapped accessible & has an accessible route to the bathrooms. That info inside; we loved the food and our waitress was attentive and super friendly! We ordered an 18 inch pizza; the crust was chewy and thin, and delicious. A burger with a side salad instead of fries (the side ceasar was big!) My mom ordered one of their specialty pear salads that was a good portion. Their utica greens were awesome & per my mom's request, they even cooked the pancetta and kept it on the side so she could have a few bites. With 5 drinks and all the food, total excluding tax was $121. We will be back!

Yelp
Another great time enjoying the atmosphere with entertainment, quick service with party of 6, and tasty food.

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
Great food and service. Just a little cramped feeling. Had the chicken Marsala and it was the best I've ever had at a restaurant, just didn't get my side of roasted potatoes but how well the main part of the dish was and how busy they were I didn't bring it up to the waiter.
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
Food was delicious. The service was great and accommodating to allergies. Will go again. Also make a mean espresso martini.

CL K.

Yelp
I have heard good things about things about this place. Decided to give it a try. The bar side of the restaurant was charming. Exposed bricks and cozy seating. Unfortunately we got seated in the newer addition side shoved deeply in the corner. We can barely make it between other people's chairs and coats. The newer side reminds me of a sad restaurant in a strip mall from 15-20 years ago. I can see they tried but doesn't compare to the bar side. Food was average. Wine list is okay. I feel they should have more local options. Bread was cold but butter was good. The worst part of our experience was the person who I believe has to be the owner stood right next to me talking to the big table next to ours. Not just to say hi, his friend and him stood within a foot next to me. And they carried out a whole conversation lasting probably 15 minutes. It was so rude. Two old men pointing their ass at me while I am trying to eat. I can see that table must be his friends. Say hi and move on. Or give me another table! With average food quality, I doubt I would return. Too bad. I had high hopes.

Yelp
It's a cute place. our server was three days in and she was friendly, and trying to give us menu guidance but couldn't yet give us suggestions. The food was good, noting really stood out. I had the pizza on special and it was fine. My friend had the scallops which was tasty. Our other friend had the steak on the menu and that wasn't good at all.

Yelp
Fabulous food and service, have the clams and linguine every time I go! Great location too

Yelp
I wish I could review the food at Avicolli's, but unfortunately I can only review the service, or lack there of. We had an engagement that ran long, and when it finally finished, we were hungry. We found Avicolli's on Yelp, and the food and atmosphere looked terrific. It was 8:20pm when we left for the restaurant, and with both Google, and Yelp stating that the restaurant closes at 10pm, we thought it would be a great choice. Boy were we wrong. We walked in the door to Avicolli's at 8:49 pm. We spoke to the hostess, who condescendingly informed us that they stopped seating tables at 8:45. She apologized that website was confusing regarding this rule (more to come on that later). This was not mentioned anywhere, and being that it was a meager 4 minutes after that time, we asked if they could make an exception. Having driven almost 30 minutes to eat here, we were desperately trying to avoid a wasted trip. The hostess disappeared to the back of the restaurant for about 3/4 minutes. During that time, I scoured the website looking for some semblance of a notice that they stopped seating tables 1hour and 15 minutes prior to close, finding nothing mentioned to that effect. While standing awkwardly at the hostess stand, we observed several employees peeking around the corner to look at us. Presumably assessing if they would grace us with the privilege of serving us dinner during their business hours. We were dressed in business casual attire, not that it should matter, but apparently we didn't make the cut. The hostess returned to say they would not seat us because the kitchen had already begun closing (I would love to know how much progress you could make closing a kitchen in 4 minutes, while there were still guests seated at tables). She also mentioned that she was "terribly sorry that the seating cut off wasn't more clear on their website". Well that's a nice platitude, but It's not mentioned on their website at all, actually. If a restaurant can afford to turn away business during business hours in this economy, I assume they're doing pretty well for themselves and this review won't impact them much. In any case, I wanted to make people aware that this restaurant observes unposted "rules" and doesn't much seem to care for the customer experience. Hopefully the pizza is good, I wouldn't know.
