Avocado Grill - Review - West Palm Beach - Miami - The Infatuation

"If you listen carefully on a Sunday afternoon, you can hear a saxophone moaning on Datura Street. It’s Avocado Grill’s call to brunch, luring you to an afternoon filled with margaritas, guacamole, and a passionate saxophonist. They serve lunch and dinner, but brunch is what this Mexican-adjacent restaurant is known for. It’s the kind where people keep their sunglasses on inside. But despite the bongos thumping in the corner, the food is decent. Our favorite dish is the crunchy rock shrimp bang bang with green papaya salad. If you want to party, arrive after 3pm, when the music gets louder and so do the people. You might even get lucky enough to see the saxophonist mount the bar for a rendition of “Careless Whisper.” video credit: Virginia Otazo video credit: Virginia Otazo" - Virginia Otazo

The happy hour was incredible for the area. You can’t ask for a better location and selection of food. For the area we would recommend this place to anyone looking g for a great menu and happy hour of choice. It was nice having parking close and concert venue across the street

Avocado Grill is a gem! Highly recommend coming here. The restaurant is clean and has a great vibe. The food is really good! Lots of vegan and healthier options to choose from, & they will accommodate to the best of their abilities. Our party ordered (pictured) Curry Cauliflower & Chickpeas, Edamame Truffle Dumplings, Burger & Fries. We also ordered (not pictured) Salad with Grilled Chicken, Tuna Poke Bowl. Everything we ordered came out quick and tasted amazing. Will be back!

Had a great dinner tonight with friends. Our server, Dell, was attentive and friendly. He made sure the fan was on high for us, we chose to eat outside. Food was excellent! Always consistently delish!

Ambiance & Decor: 4 stars… Inside is clean, stylish, and honestly where you want to be. Outdoor patio? Feels like the restaurant forgot to check in on it. Service: 4 stars… Friendly, attentive, didn’t miss a beat. Food (apps & mains): 5 stars… Some big wins, one surprise flop, but overall a strong lineup. Dessert: Didn’t get to it. Too full of calamari and fries. Would definitely come back. Already planning my order for next time. Not flawless, but absolutely worth the visit. Now for the real talk: The indoor space is great, well-designed, and actually comfortable. There’s a bar that sets the tone the moment you walk in. Outside seating exists… but let’s just say it’s not as clean as inside and you’ll want to be indoors where they clearly spent the design budget. Fried calamari? Knockout. Perfectly crisp, full of flavor, and borderline addictive. Easily one of the best things we had. The grilled mahi tacos were another win… fresh, well-seasoned, and light without being boring. But the sleeper star? The beef short rib with poached eggs. Rich, savory, perfectly cooked. It had no business being that good but here we are. Now… let’s talk about the guacamole. Somehow the one letdown of the meal. Soggy, a little sad, and not what you’d expect from a place doing everything else so well and with “avocado” in their name. Honestly shocked! 😳🥑 Didn’t get to try the shishito peppers, but I already regret it and they’re first on the list for next time. The truffle fries? Order them! That’s it. Don’t ask questions. Just get them. Service was great… friendly, quick, and knew the menu. Felt like they actually cared, which always makes a difference. Would I come back? Without a doubt. Just skipping the guac and doubling down on the fries and short rib next time. This one’s a solid spot and definitely earned a return visit.

Google
The food and service were both amazing. We had the fish tacos, short rib tacos, poke bowl, ceviche and the octopus. It all tastes great. The octopus and short ribs were cooked perfectly and the ceviche was flavorful and fresh. The margaritas and guacamole were also great. To top it off, the happy hour was amazing. Best happy hour in the area that we have found. Half priced small plates and 2 for one drinks. We will definitely be back..

Google
Came here for lunch Saturday—opted to sit inside although the outdoor area was super cute, but inside had beautiful decor as well! Everything here has avocado!!! The avocados are fresh—and delicious. Started off with the Chicken Empanadas, Rock Shrimp Bang Bang and Grilled Avocado Salad. The empanadas were just okay, rock shrimp was so good and the grilled avocado vinaigrette dressing was a bit too sour for my preference, but my friends loved it. Smashed Croissant Avocado Toast and Grilled Fish Tacos were good.

Came here with on a Sunday afternoon for brunch with my girlfriends. Had a great time! Live music with DJ and entertainment. Drinks were really good and strong. Perfect place to dance and connect with friends and food was delicious as well!

Dell is the best! So attentive, friendly, and accommodating my dietary restrictions. He helped to craft a delicious meal for my two daughters that came. Come see him and you won’t regret it!

Yelp
This place was amazing!!! The menu is unique, not your same ole same ole. The flavors of the dishes make you want to lick the plate. I never like to go the same restaurant twice while on vacation but I may have to break my rules!' Go!!!!

Yelp
Avocado Grill offers a beautiful ambiance, I loved the look of the inside of the restaurant; however unless you had a reservation, they sat you outside. I want to mention it was raining off and on and the inside reserved tables sat empty the whole time we were there. I watched them seat two families with four kids or more outside and the staff needed to adjust the umbrellas constantly to keep us dry. I requested to be moved so we could stay dry while eating, and told the staff I was not squat, just order, eat and leave. BTW if you are reading this, please note how uncool it is to eat out and watch families standing around waiting for a table while you sit socializing (take your chats home or to a coffee shop so others can sit and eat with their families). I vote to ban reservations, it should be first come first serve, period. The service was excellent!! I want that to be noted foremost. The fried avocado tacos were tasteless and missing the opportunity to take something so creamy and delicious to the next level! My Jalapeño Margarita was legit good. Overall I give this place a 3 out of 5 because I could not understand why you would sit two large families outside while it was raining, while the large tables inside sat empty being held for "VIP" we are all human and we should be just as important as the other!

Yelp
10/10 would absolutely recommend!!!! The sauce is absolutely delicious. It's curry with a coconut milk base, and I'm usually not one to like coconut stuff... but this was amazing! The texture of the proteins were so tender, I was really impressed. It's also a really cute place inside with great decor. And the service was awesome!
google avatar

Yelp
We ordered lamb slider, gnocchi, grilled octopus, chicken empanadas with flan and avocado mousse as deserts. Probably the pick was the avocado mouse. All the other dishes would be 4 to 4.5 stars. Excellent service.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service:5/5 Ambiance:5/5 I decided to head out to Avocado Grill on a Saturday during their brunch hours. When I arrived, I was seated immediately. I chose the outside area since it wasn't raining and the weather was pretty fine. The staff were very friendly & informative. I tried one of their speciality cocktails: Kiwi Mojito. The drink was a bit sour, tangy, and strong. I'm not a huge alcohol drinker but mojitos are usually my go tos. Simple & straight to the point. I wouldn't reorder the mojito again though! I ordered the oysters on the 1/2 shell off their brunch menu. I specifically tried the Malpeque,PEI oysters that are described on their menu as "delicate, full flavor, briny taste with a lettuce finish". I will say it was delicate. The flavor was added by using the garnish they had on the side. I didn't realize the lemon was tied inside the little baggie until I finished them. I'm a lover of seafood so I would get them again! Lastly, I ordered the local arugula salad with grilled salmon, which was terrific. The salmon was made medium well and it wasn't too dry which is a plus. I loved how the salad had artichokes which added a soft but intricate touch. No desserts were ordered because I was full! Overall, I will come back again during brunch hours because the food was great. I might try out their dinner menu next time.

Yelp
Delicious food, good service, and a fun, hip decor - what more do you need? On my first night in town, my friends took me to Avocado Grill for dinner because there was something for everyone on the menu, from vegans to gluten free to pescatarians and everything else out there. We enjoyed some incredible cocktails with shrimp bang bang and a dozen oysters to start. Everything was fresh and flavorful. My entree was a decadently delicious truffle goat cheese gnocchi that tasted as good as it sounds. Throughout the meal, our server was friendly and attentive. I really liked this place, and I would definitely go more often if I lived close by!

Yelp
This was a great location for a nice quick bite to eat in West Palm Beach. My fiancé and I really enjoyed the small plates and tasty drinks. If you are in the area and looking for a casual restaurant with a nice ambiance, tasty food, and great service then I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
The service at Avocado Grill is friendly and attentive. We didn't have a reservation on a Thursday night and luckily, we got a table. If you arrive early before 6 PM, they will more than likely accommodate you. Clearly, anything with avocado is delicious. It's the Avocado Grill! We had the guacamole as an appetizer. And, for my main, I wanted something fresh and light. The server recommended Chicken Pillard. It was just enough. The argula with lemon citrus dressing tasted fresh. The server was correct! The restaurant is open and airy with palm tree vibes. It's a unique space and worth a visit when you're near Clematis.

Yelp
Have always loved this place but haven't been here for awhile. Still amazing! Recipes have changed a bit but dare say it may be even better! Squash Blossoms, Shishito Peppers, and Grilled Avocado - not to mention Happy Hour! Glad to be back and highly recommend.

Yelp
10/9/23- My friends and I were working the expo for the Pam Beach Marathon race over the weekend and for our lunch break we came here. There was a bit of a wait for inside seating and we didn't want to sit outside because it was hot and there was no coverage. But, the hostess recommended bar seating. We ended up at the bar which was perfect. It's a small restaurant, the bar is very nice. The decor makes you feel like you're on vacation. I ordered the Chicken BLT sandwich with a side. I chose the truffle fries. Everything was delicious. I ended up taking off the bread off the sandwich. It was hard and not the easiest to eat. Definitely will be back to order some drinks. They had a great selection.

Yelp
This restaurant was a great place from the food to the service to the ambiance. It's very seafood-heavy and they had a lot of healthy options. We sat outside and it was very pleasant, Our waitress was wonderful -- very attentive and nice. The only bad thing was that there were two hairs in our food -- one each in 2 dishes. The waitress was very kind though and gave us a dessert on the house The Nutella avocado dessert was delish!!! It's super creamy and basically just mixes together avocado and Nutella

Yelp
If you haven't tried Avocado Grill, this needs to be next on your bucket list. I came here for dinner for a double date and was so happy with absolutely everything. The ambiance is incredible. Seating outside, beautiful string lights, a bar inside, lively music. We decided to sit outside because it was a gorgeous night. The staff was wonderful. Got us seated right away and a waiter was at our table before I even had a chance to read the cocktail menu! Their margarita options are wonderful I went with a passion fruit margarita and loved every sip. The food was pricey I will admit, so I was hesitant. Skirt steak is delicious but usually tastes the same everywhere I go, but I decided to give it a try. WOW. This steak tasted like it had been marinating for days. It was packed with flavor, tender, and so delicious. I declared it the best steak I have had at a restaurant (which is bold since I am a steak lover). I had a wonderful night here and would love to return. The food is fresh, flavorful, and crafted with care. Drinks are strong but tasty, and the entire vibe is on point. Highly recommend!

Yelp

Yelp
Ordered Avocado grill to go for lunch one evening. The food was absolutely amazing, EVEN TO GO. The potatoes were crispy. The empanadas were incredible. Service was excellent. When picking up my food, the place was clean and well manicured. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I've walked by here so many times and never tried it. It's a cute place. Not the best location if you're looking for a nice view outside. My server was terrific. I completely forgot his name. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and accommodating to my food allergies. He was very straightforward and no chitchat - which I appreciated! I ordered the swordfish which was the fish of the day. It was probably the best preparation of swordfish I have ever had. Juicy and cooked perfectly. I was almost hesitant to try because I expected it to be dry. It came with one side so I tried the garlic green beans. Pretty decent portion. Very flavorful. Fresh beans, fresh garlic. I think for the price at lunch, this could be a special treat.

Yelp
I highly recommend Avocado Grill!! We are there on Friday before our theater tickets. The place is a touch loud inside so think about sitting outside if that would bother you. The food is fantastic! We absolutely adored the Rock Shrimp Bang Bang, it was the hit of the night. The Grilled Avocado was yummy, the Guacamole was delicious, and the Stuffed Crispy Zucchini Blossoms were out of this world!! The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the Octopus. It just didn't work for me. My wife and daughter loved the Chocolate Praline Tart, a dessert special for the night. The atmosphere is nice, yet loud. The service was excellent and our server, Noelle, was amazing. He was attentive, friendly, and funny. He is a fantastic server and deserves a shout-out!!! Thanks for giving us a great evening Noelle.

Yelp
Food was really good the red sauce under the calamari was just sooo good with the tostones and the chicken Paillard was incredible with the sour pineapple chunks on top. The service was fast and very attentive. The place is next to a bar where the music is so inviting, people just dancing and having the best time, the vibe is just unmatched. Definitely a great place to enjoy a nice lunch on a Sunday or grab a quick bite with friends and hangout.

Yelp
Pricey but delicious. Quick service, which makes it so you can enjoy during your lunch break. Not so easy to find parking, but there are a lot of parking garages a block or so away. Clean bathrooms Bartender (or waiter) got my drink wrong. I got tacos which were delicious, but it was around $35 for two tacos and a drink.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
Been coming here any time I visit Florida. Bartending staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Being celiac, it was great to see GF options called out on the menu. I gobbled up the curried cauliflower and chickpeas before taking a picture, but I could have made my entire meal out of that side
google avatar

Yelp
I read some reviews on Yelp and chose this place over the other places in the area. I sat at the bar and started with a kiwi mojito followed by a passion fruit mojito in the BOGO for happy hour. I decided to try the grilled avocado salad and bang bang rock shrimp. It ended up being a great combination of flavors. This was a good starter for the night. The food was really good although a bit pricey for the portion size. 2 reasons made me give 3 stars; first, the bar stool that I sat in was broken and when I reported the problem to the bartender he left the barstool for the next patrons to sit in. I happened to notice the couple getting ready to sit down and I told them not to sit in the bar stool. I wish I could understand why the bar tender chose not to remove the stool but I found this exceptionally irresponsible. Strike 1. Strike 2 was when I went to pay the bill and notice they did not honor the BOGO on my drinks. I should not have to point this out to the bar tender. I felt this was done intentionally and if I had not caught this issue my bill would have been substantially higher. Good food, but the actions of the bar tender on both accounts rubbed me the wrong way. I won't be back as a result.

Yelp
Decided to try Avocado Grill after reading a few reviews and thought the food was quick and good but the service needed some help. The guacamole was super whipped and creamy, it had good flavor and seems really fresh. The chips were the winner here, light and crispy with a little seasoning. I had some oysters which was pretty good, cocktail sauce was a little plain though. The fish tacos were where it was at, perfect grilled with a nice helping of guacamole and slaw. The service wasn't the best outside of the food coming out quickly. The waiter really didn't check on us and it was super awkward to tried to order food.
google avatar

Yelp
What a lovely restaurant in downtown West Palm Beach. If you live for avocado this is your place. The decor is lush in green and very inviting. Plenty outside tables for a perfect dining al fresco. I shared with a friend the grilled avocado which was a great starter and beautifully plated. We moved on to 2 seafood options the tuna tataki and rock shrimp bang bang. Both dishes had amazing flavors. We finished with grilled fish tacos with fries. We added a taco to make 4...it comes with 3. Service is friendly which is a rarity in south Florida. Definitely recommend for a fresh bright dining experience.

Yelp
Great food and nice service & ambiance. Loved the 2 for 2 happy hour although I was charged for a $16 drink that I didn't order. I unfortunately didn't notice until I looked over my bill again that was emailed to me.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. They have a separate vegan menu. This place has Mexican food with a bit of a Mediterranean twist. The highlights were the shishito peppers and the avocado empanadas. Highly recommend. Also liked the ginger guac and the jalapeno mule.

Gertrude C.

Yelp
This was such a beautiful restaurant inside out and our server was very kind My family and i went here for Easter Sunday lunch and I loved my avocado margarita yes you read that correctly AVOCADO margarita. I enjoyed the squid that i ordered paired with a salad. it was worth the adventure but i probably wouldn't order it again. The Aperol spritz wasnt my favorite but i would definitely come back just for the avocado margaritas
google avatar

Yelp
You cannot go wrong with an ice cold beer and a Poke Bowl here. A great place to cool down after cruising Flagler waterfront.

Yelp
When I was in West Palm Beach it was really tough to choose a spot for lunch and it went a little something like this: Wanted a location near the beach with parking available, a light meal, and some refreshing cocktails. Avocado Grill hit it all on these three points! The location is conveniently located near the beach and there is not so much parking available at the location, but there's street parking and lots around - pay for parking. The restaurant is small, but it is truly a comfortable experience and the decorations inside are nice. They also have happy hour available for those who are interested in happy hour spots to check out. One detail on the menu stood out to me though. All the sandwiches sound delicious and I decided to go with the BLT option. Let me tell you! It did not disappoint! It was fresh from the delicious bread to the lettuce, to the tomato, and even the bacon was legit. This was solid! I would come back just to have this sandwich again. The cocktails are excellent and the variety is amazing. This is a small and kind of hidden spot so it can be easy to miss, make sure to check it out if you're in the area. :)

Yelp
Really cute restaurant with good fresh food! They have a range of main plates and small plates. We opted to share 3 small plates. Food - Ceviche of the day - Good and limey, $18 - Rock Shrimp Bang Bang - This was by far my favorite dish. The shrimp were super tasty and came on top a bed of avocado. Never would have thought to put these two together, but they were amazing, $21 - Roasted Duo of Beets - Different kinds of beets with goat cheese and pistachios. They came on top of a green goddess dressing, $16 - Burger with curry cauliflower - so good! The burger has brie on it and the side of cauliflower is great. - Margarita - my friend got this and said the tequilla was strong. Service Our waiter took great care of us and brought our food out very fast. Ambiance - Indoor and outdoor seating. - Indoor seating is dark inside. Outdoor is on the sidewalk and alongside the restaurant.
google avatar

Andrea U.

Yelp
The menu looked healthy & the restaurant's ambiance was inviting. Everything was guac green & felt Floridian here. Great location facing the amphitheater & waterfront. There was WiFi, indoor dining & shady tables in front. Marco was our waiter, he steadied our table & took good care of us. I ordered the broiled oyster scampi & my husband the grilled fish tacos. My oysters were exceptional, I can do this at home. Fresh, flavorful & delicious. My husband wasn't impressed with his tacos & salad. Portions weren't that large & this is one of the more expensive lunch places in West Palm. It was busy, every table was taken & it appeared to be a business crowd.
google avatar

Marv P.

Yelp
Avocado Grill was a vibe! We were seated outdoors which was perfect during a nice breezy evening. We started with drinks which were nice and strong and the filling appetizers (forgot to take pictures of appetizers) 1. Guacamole = 10/10 2. Rock shrimp = 7/10 3. Ribs = 5/10 The rock shrimp was basic nothing special and the ribs were ok to me it lacked flavor. The mains were delicious we all enjoyed our meal. The staff was attentive and very nice. If you're ever in the area and want to grab a bit at a nice and casual restaurant then I recommend Avocado Grill.
google avatar

Wen S.

Yelp
Came here for an early dinner and it's another favorite of mine. We both had such a nice time. The staff were very attentive. It's beautifully located near the Intercostal. He had the ceviche & I had the coconut Mahi. I'm literally addicted to it. I always order the same. After we were able to walk the intercostal. It's a place I definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys the area.

Steve G.

Yelp
Visited on 12/05/24, enjoyed the mahi fish tacos. Service was very good, and the mahi was melt in your mouth.
google avatar

Yelp
A little gem of a restaurant in Palm Beach. Our waitress Alex was sweet and attentive. I ordered the Ceviche of the day which today was Cobia. Sweet piquant and mouth watering. Loved it. My friend had the Tuna Crudo. Lovely presentation and also delicious
google avatar

Champ W.

Yelp
Lucas (the bartender) was AMAZING!!! Drinks were on point...we were lucky to catch the happy hour on Wednesday, which is 2 for 1 ALL DAY!! Food was phenomenal. Definitely will be back!
google avatar

Dane S.

Yelp
Beautiful place great food the service is outstanding I did have one question about something on the menu, Beaver tail! The only issue my party and I had was that the music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think even outside. We asked if they would turn it down but were told they couldn't.
google avatar

Mae M.

Yelp
Trendy and cute spot in West Palm Beach but way overpriced with somewhat rude waiters. Came here for my friend's bachelorette party and one person asked if they had any flavored iced coffee. The waiter gave her an extremely rude look and replied bluntly, "no." The food came out quickly once we ordered, but like I said before was extremely overpriced (~$25-$40 for bunch) and in my opinion not worth it. Ironically one of the cheaper things on the menu is the Avocado Toast, which my friend ordered but said it wasn't nearly enough food.
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
My bf and I were on our way up to Orlando and we stopped in West Palm to this restaurant. It's located in a really nice area. We paid for street parking across the street and were able to be sat right away. We decided to sit at the bar and the bartender was super nice and attentive. I ordered the kiwi mojito and it was delish!! I'm not typically a mojito person but this one hit the spot. A little sweet and not too much, it was a win for me! To eat we ordered the oysters, octopus, shishito peppers and Togarashi tuna nachos. Everything was spectacular. Another plus, the food came out very quickly. We ordered everything at different times but each time we ordered it, it came in great timing. If I was in the area again I would definitely stop by here again!! Really enjoyed this place.
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
I ate here for the first time and my tongue was sprung!! The place definitely has a chic tropical vibe which I love. And it was super clean. The servers were very attentive, an empty plate didn't stay on my table for long. I highly recommend the Stuffed Crispy Zucchini Blossoms, they stole the show!!
google avatar

Ka C.

Yelp
Cute lunch or brunch spot in West Palm Beach area, this was my second time visiting. The decor inside is beautiful, lots of greenery and tropic vibes. If you come on a weekend it is definitely more crowded but we did not have to wait for a table. The real concern would be finding parking, the parking lot next to it was full and there was limited street parking so we had to pay for the parking garage nearby. Food wise, the portions are a bit small for the price, and they now give 2 fish tacos + choice of side instead of 3 fish tacos. I would have honestly preferred the 3 tacos and ordering a side to share, since 2 is rather small. However I highly recommend the truffle fries, they put real truffle shavings on top and the fries come out hot and crispy. Service was good too, just knocked a star off for the small portions given the price.
google avatar

Yelp
We came for a light dinner since it was late. Thought small plates would be better than a heavy meal. We got a little carried away since everything was so good!!! Mardo was our waiter and he was so friendly and helpful. He answered all of our questions with a smile. Grilled Avocado was delicious! Highly recommend Grilled Octopus so tender and delicious! Highly recommend Roasted Duo of Beets was good Rock Shrimp Bang Bang amazing! Definitely recommend Whole Avocado Vinaigrette was very good We ordered 1 too many plate, and everything adds up very quickly lol But everything was definitely worth it, after all we were on VACA!

katherine g.

Yelp
Food was not good quality. I got oysters and poke The poke was old you could tell right away. This place is charging wayyyy too much for what it is $26 for poke mushy white rice and old tuna. Ambiance was ok service not good. Never coming back
google avatar

Francesca C.

Yelp
This place is only good for the food. Service is the worst. Granted we came with a large party on a Sunday - i get it. Not to mention - why is the inside a club party scene while the outside is supposed to double as a brunch place? It really ruined the ambiance of brunch we were looking for with smoke being blown into our faces at 12pm. Upon sitting, the manager came to ask if we would be long because they have a big turn over for brunch. We felt rushed the entire time but service took over an hour to take our drink order and for our food. We waited 40 minutes to receive our check. Server said we could split into 4 for our party but gave us all the final check to split amongst ourselves. We were visibly frustrated since we were told we could split into 4 checks but then the manager explained we could only split on 4 cards down the middle. They said they wouldn't determine items on checks for us because it takes too much time and told us we had to do it ourselves. We were going through the check to determine how much we each owed when the server got frustrated and took the check and said he would just do individual checks. This made us more upset since they claimed they didn't have the system to do that. The server gave us a 20% auto gratuity but didn't tell us causing some of us to tip extra and leaving us even more livid (which again, is service standard for large parties but it's principal to tell the guests) 15 minutes later we paid and were finally out. The location is nice and the food was good but was not worth it for the 3.5 hour experience. Might be good to go for the bar/DJ experience but definitely not good for brunch.

Yelp
Enjoyed the poke bowl and the watermelon burrata both very yummy. The service was very good and my water glass was always kept full. Sat outside and the weather was perfect. Is a little pricy.

Yelp
The vibes are on point. This is a great little spot and perfect for brunch with friends or family.

Yelp
Overall a pretty nice restaurant. Food was good and server was nice, overall a nice place to get dinner or drinks. Food portions are on the smaller side it is more of a tapas type place. I came here to eat before Sunfest with friend and we enjoyed hanging out. We were a little surprised by how quiet the restaurant was for a Friday night, when I see it on Instagram I see it look a lot livelier/busy and lots of people/music/dancing but it's possible it was a slower night even with Sunfest going on! Overall a good experience though and I would come back!

Yelp
1st visit - met a friend for lunch, wasn't horrible, but I wasn't impressed. For what I paid the portion did not even fill me and I left hungry .... 2nd visit - their menu appealed to my friend visiting from out of town who is vegetarian. They sat us at a table for 2 wedged in between two other large parties, even though 3 booths were empty. We requested moving to a booth, and were told booths are for larger parties. FYI, they were not busy. The young lady did change us to a booth with the disclaimer if the manager approached us, tell them "we'd insisted on the booth". We were there about 2 hours and from the time we arrived, until the time we left.. no one was ever seated in those 2 other empty booths. I ordered a seafood or shrimp risotto, can't recall... but it was not good. I think I picked up the shrimp and left the risotto... 3rd and LAST try - we made reservations a few weeks ago and showed up early to enjoy drinks. Upon arrival, all the chairs were piled up on top of the tables and the door locked. We could see an employee sitting at bar, so we knocked. He came over, unlocked the door and said sorry we're closed tonight... I expressed we had reservations, to which he replied ... sorry they didn't contact you. So if you don't have a full house you just close?? Quick note - our party of two generally spends $200 - $300 just for the two of us, depending on if we order a bottle of wine. As someone whose family is in the hospitality business, you honor your patrons, you honor your hours and you honor your reservations no matter how slow it is. That was really the last straw for us and Will most likely never be trying Avocado Grill again ... nor will I ever recommend it to anyone I know. On a positive note - I've been to Pink Steak and Avocado Cantina and had the total opposite experience. So I don't know if it comes down to management at each particular location. But the Datura location is dead in my culinary book....

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time...everything was so good! We had cocktails, oysters, and the avocado empanadas were fantastic. I got tacos and my husband got the gulf shrimp wrap. We sat outside and the service was great, very cool ambiance. Everything was top notch, highly recommend if you're in the area!

Yelp
So what's good about this place? It's beautiful inside and the outside seating area is excellent as well. Our server Angela was absolutely fantastic. We sat outside and even though it was a little chilly,we were near a heat lamp until unfortunately ran out of her propane. So as far as the food, we had short rib enchiladas and fish tacos. I mean both were OK I guess. It was tell what the meat was in the enchiladas which is a shame because short ribs can be amazing and the fish tacos were fine but very very skimpy on the fish considering the price. 3 small tacos $27. this place is pricey. It almost seems ridiculous to say that considering every place in West Palm Beach is pricey I'd go back to try to happy hour and honestly the ambience is excellent regardless. Certainly worth a try if you haven't been.

Yelp
The avocado grill is the kind of restaurant that fit in our budget, and make our tummy happy. We tried ordering small plates to share so we could try more things together. The staffs were very friendly and helpful to introduce us to the area. We love each little bites we got. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with open concept, high ceiling, well thought decorations and packed with greenery. The dishes were packed with flavors and came with nice presentation
