Avondale

Avondale is a great station. Quieter than Decatur with parking if that's more your vibe. There are plans to extend the green line to here, which is big if true. But for now, blue line trains stop here every 10-20 minutes.

Yesterday i ride the 6:54am bus on the 120 from juliette road to avondale station. the driver he was very nice he smiles with great customer service

Plenty of free daily parking. Parking lot is mostly shaded by a multitude of trees. Conveniently located.

I enjoy living in this quiet community with its park-like setting. Older apartments have real hardwood floors, large closets and rooms (kitchens are small but functional) and plenty of green space. Management hosts events like movie nights by the fire pit, food trucks, holiday gatherings, pool parties and contests with prizes. Pet friendly, nice diversity of neighbors and great location.

The apartment wasn't as nice as the one we toured initially. There is a lot of paint peeling in the bathroom on the tiles and in the bathtub. Once we moved in I noticed a lot of obvious "quick fixes" in the bathroom and kitchen. We rented this unit for the washer and dryer hookups not knowing there was no place to vent the dryer. Seems pretty dangerous especially since it is in very close proximity to our hot water heater (that is outdated) and gas furnace; which both look sketchy as hell and dirty. I love the community garden and landscaping but I sometimes feel like my apartment is just gross. The amount of grease and grime on the kitchen cabinets - the carelessly nailed in plywood bottoms of our kitchen drawers. There is no vent for the oven (which is ALSO in close proximity to our furnace and hot water heater).

This Marta station is simply amazing to say the least! I got off of one of the busses and was rushing to make the train. I just bought a new bike, so it's still new to me having it. Well, I got off of the bus, and I accidentally forgot my bike on the front of the bus. Thankfully, I missed the train. Since I did, the bus driver actually came and found me to come tell me to do come get my bike off the front of the bus. That in my opinion, is the epitome of excellent customer service! He told me his name, but I accidentally forgot. However, he drives the route 120 bus, is an African American gentleman, about 6' 1" tall, average build, and has short black hair. Also, he's extremely nice, and very cool! Thank you to this bus driver and MARTA as well! You guys are awesome!

Great so far. Wish I would have gotten the ladies name that assisted me worth the ticket, she was wonderful. I have not been on Marta is a very long time. This is great. Headed north for dinner with friends and did not want to deal with 5 o clock traffic. Avondale is a very clean and friendly station.

JUST EXPERIENCED THE WORST BUS DRIVER I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED OUT OF MY 15+ years riding Marta. She worked this day driving bus 117 Sunday afternoon shift had just started around 4pm. Wasn't able to get her name but hopefully this info is enough. Her attitude was beyond horrible to be the start of a shift
