I come here on the regular especially when I’m hungry. I love all the people that work here and the atmosphere it’s very relaxing ☺️ iconic flan is made here too as well as rice pudding, fair pricing too. There’s a lot to say but you should probably just come and try the food yourself! As there’s lots of options to grab and go and custom made to order plates.

In a sea of Portuguese restaurants Avo's Feast stands head and shoulders above the crowd. I've grown up on this food but my husband didn't and he's absolutely loved trying all the delicious Portuguese dishes around the area but Avo's Feast really blew him away. We'll definitely be going there in person next time (which will be soon.) But even getting it delivered, the food was fresh and hot. The quality is outstanding. We'll be tasting our way through the menu over the next few months

Google
Food is really good but I would never cater again on a holiday we ordered pick up for Christmas Eve pick up 4:30 there was a line of 15 people in there still waiting for food for even earlier pick ups since it was Christmas Eve obviously everyone has plans had to switch out with other family members so we wasn’t standing there for hours the food wasn’t ready until 7:30pm .. 3 hours waiting for pick up being told they have no idea when it’ll be ready. Food was great like I said but the catering not so good need a better system

Google
Perfect Portuguese food. They satisfy the craving.. they always hit the spot. Everything is tasty, never bland. The workers are phenomenal and so nice. Very clean nice place to sit and eat as well. The only sad thing is that I haven’t tried this place sooner! beware though, there’s no way you aren’t coming back for more

Imagine christmas eve picking up my tray of food for 4:30p.m. & 1.5hr +later in line. Being told "the only one here it's the holidays be patient" no driving 1hr from here nooo sorry terrible excuse!

Google
Had delivery through Doordash. The steak plates were still hot upon delivery and they were delicious!! Staff on the phone was excellent too. I called to verify the order and they were telling me my order was being delivered and the driver was literally at my door. 1st time ordering from them and I will definitely order again. My wife and I were very satisfied with our meals and the whole experience!

Google
The best Portuguese soup in the city. In my opinion. The best steak sandwich too.

Google
What an amazing place to go. The food is always on point, freshness guaranteed. The staff is so super friendly, I go here at least 5 - 6 times a week and for the food that you get it is so reasonable. Best part is you can sit down and eat and if your in a rush no worries they have prepared food and even if you order the plates it comes out so fast. Give this place a shot you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
The choices for food were good, I enjoyed the meal and dessert was great. Place is small, the server was pleasant. Made suggestions. Will be back.

Kristen P.

Yelp
It's great to have a quick serve Portuguese option available! The food was delicious too!

Moe B.

Yelp
Please tell your drivers to obey stop signs Corner of reading and Florence your driver never stops one day he will collide with a car pulling out of there driveway

Mike P.

Yelp
Love the food here. Support local!! A little pricey, but VERY enjoyable. --Then again, what restaurant isn't getting more expensive by the month with wage demands and cost of goods rising?

Brendan P.

Yelp
Two words.. chicken aioli Really don't need any further advice. Just show up, order the chicken aioli and you're off to a great start.

Kayla A.

Yelp
One of the Go-to's for local Fall River Eats. It's Portuguese Feast food year round. Pro-tip add an egg to the Steak Aioli Sandwich. A+. You can also get a side of Quahog Stuffing sans shell - Which honestly is a better serving size and easier to eat that way. Not only is it a little shop on Pleasant St but they also have a food truck. I first experienced Avo's as a food truck at SOAM and then sought them out at future food truck events. I love a good food truck. In Fall River there's certainly no lack of Quality Portuguese - but with this quick serve modern style this is the perfect intro to the cuisine for anyone that didn't grow up on chourcio.

Tim B.

Yelp
Call at 4:30 and ask when they close. They tell me 7:00. Show up at 5:15 doors locked no one answers the phone. No issues wasting your time, I guess.

Lena P.

Yelp
The people were helpful and food was delicious. Place was clean. Very casual dining experience.

Miriam M.

Yelp
We got the and steak sandwich with Portuguese fries. It was amazing. Good service, this restaurant was very nice and clean.

Alan L.

Yelp
There aren't too many dinner options in the area. We enjoyed their French fries with garlic and peppers. The steak sandwiches were chewy, not something we will seek out again. Check their hours, they closed 90 minutes earlier than listed on Yelp the day we were there.

Thea C.

Yelp
I order from Avo's on Door Dash all the time. We love their food! The Cacoila sandwich and the Portuguese steak fries ( they're in this yummy sauce w a roasted red pepper and egg on top!) are phenomenal! Every time I get my order, it's perfect. The bun is never soggy! The portions are big and the prices are extremely reasonable. Highly recommend!

Arah C.

Yelp
Okay not only are the staff and family who own the restaurant so pleasant and wonderful but the food is AMAZING!! The chocolate moose cake .... is the best!!! The best I have ever had and I honestly can say the food here is made with love!

Bobby J.

Yelp
I usually get the sandwich and kale soup here. The soup is absolutely delicious and it is my go-to place for Portuguese kale soup. The sandwich meat (cacoila, chicken Mozambique chicken) can sometimes be a tad too salty but you can't beat the price. The bread is very good. The service is very good. The girls working there are very considerate.

Robert M.

Yelp
So so so good. Beeen wanting to come for a while. I hope this place is here forever cause it's the encapsulation of what it is to grow up with Portuguese food in this area. Everyone needs to learn how to make chourico and peppers like they do here. It's perfect. Not too sweet like some places, perfect fresh papo sec. and they have unique items like quahog stuffing! Just great. Love it.

Yelp
So I finally came to see what all rave and talk about Avo's was all about! So I was told that the food at this restaurant was "feast" inspired like the feasts during the summer! I understood the whole concept, but the food quality looks nothing like something you would get at the feast! So I got the Mozimbique sandwich, fries, and some favas... So the Mozimbique is soaking in this sauce that I myself couldn't distinguish if it was Mozimbique or not... It could've of used less beer and more sazon for more flavor!! Let's just say they were not afraid to use hot sauce! I live close by and by the time I got home my sandwich was no longer a sandwich but a sloppy and soggy mess! The best thing about my meal was my fries to be honest! The favas were just plain with no taste and again loaded with hot sauce! I'm sorry but if your trying to portray Portuguese food as a fast food, at least get the taste down packed! I think they need to revisit their recipes and tweak them a bit and make them more authentic! Being Portuguese and all I've had better Portuguese food then what I just had for dinner! I gave them 2 stars for the effort and that they had my favorite dessert, flan! But if the flan is floating on the same boat as the food, I'm not sure if I'd be coming back here... Reasonable pricing, but I would like to see the quality and taste of the food become more authentic to be worth it!

Tiffany P.

Yelp
The kale soup is as close to my great grandmothers recipe as it gets!! Whenever I need a little extra comfort this is my go to for a quick but delicious homemade meal. Bifana with extra red peppers and kale soup are my go to meal but there are so many other great dishes. Portuguese steak fries are bomb. Avos fish is also great, and comes with a delicious sauce. The garlic aioli chicken sandwich is another hit! & you can buy the aioli for at home use, it's delicious!! I've also had their cubed chicken Mozambique and pork alentejana catered for a birthday party & it was delicious!! 10/10 recommend, I've never had a bad meal here

Alyssa C.

Yelp
My favorite portuguese restaurant in Fall River. The workers are always friendly. My hubby goes specifically for their favas. I love to try everything. Got the steak plate last time and we've been talking about it since. I enjoy the grandmas pudding for dessert and the free refills on fountain sodas! This place is a hidden gem!!

Josh V.

Yelp
My wife and I LOVE this place! It is our go to for a quick Portuguese meal. Everything we have ordered has always been fresh and you can taste the passion that goes into the recipes that are used, I am glad they have a brick and mortar location to get their feast fries and other delicious offerings. Never an issue and always pleasant and greeted immediately when you walk in.

Marlon F.

Yelp
Great Portuguese food with quick and friendly service. Quality and quantity of food you get will satisfy even the hungriest of people.

Eme L.

Yelp
I came early hoping the food Food was ok i dont know what all the hype was about. My chicken was ok little too grilled , dry i can tell the flavor would've been better had it not been overcooked. The potato were cooked good.. The flavor eh... the onions they put on top were too tangy. the bread was awesome. Super clean nice and helpful staff. Would i go back?? Not to sure

Mathew W.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Authentic Portuguese food with lots of options, priced incredibly reasonably. Service is great, and the wait is very reasonable for the quality. They even have Avo working in the kitchen!! Quality, service, and food is on point, not to mention the place is kept up with well too. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick authentic bite!

Kimberly P.

Yelp
We had the Portuguese Steak Plate. It was very good, very filling and so tasty!!! My husband had the same with a cup of Kale soup. Also delicious. My only drawback is the lack of AC. However, this is primarily a take out joint so the fact that we ate in might be a rarity. All in all, I can't complain about the food or the service. Looking forward to coming back here for some more delicious Portuguese cuisine.

Heather K.

Yelp
I usually eat here on lunch during my mail route, they're always so friendly and always take care of me! The portions are VERY generous and is always fresh and delicious! I enjoy delivering to this route the days I do just so I can eat here for lunch! The quahog stuffing is really good, and the chicken Mozambique sandwich is usually my go-to. But I've also tried the shrimp Mozambique and that was phenomenal, just not available daily. They usually post their daily specials on Facebook though so I follow that too!

Melanie L.

Yelp
Why did it take me so long to try this place?! I got the shrimp Mozambique and my husband had the Portuguese steak and they were both great! Portions are large and the prices are more than reasonable. Delicious, convenient, and good value! You can't go wrong.

Thomas C.

Yelp
I have frequented Avo's a number of times.I have found their sandwiches to be very good. The chourico and pepper sandwich was tasty and appropriately spicy, the bifana sandwich featured deliciously marinated pork and the cocoila was probably the best I have had.Avo's quahog stuffing is to die for.The Portuguese soup is tasty, but has far too much pasta and not enough kale.No visible kidney beans in the soup? This is a no no. Now the bad.Today I had their daily special,Avo's Crab Meat and Potatoes. There was no crab meat in the dish.It was loaded with imitation crab meat, also known as sea legs.It was worse than terrible. The name of the dish was very misleading.Shame on them. Hopefully this will be corrected.I would have given this place four stars if l had not had this horrific meal.

Simsan A.

Yelp
We frequented Avos twice already and both times the food was excellent. Stuffing was just like the one you get at the feast. The only thing that could be changed is in the sandwiches they were soaking in sauce by the time you got them home they weren't sandwiches anymore. That goes for the chourico ,Mozambique and cacoila sandwiches. Everything else was excellent.

Megan J.

Yelp
Amazing food!!! Great little spot to grab lunch on the go. They have quick service and are very pleasant and customer service oriented. Real deal Portuguese food... Like right from ur vavo's kitchen.

Scott J.

Yelp
Awesome feast food, reasonable prices, friendly, prompt service. I could eat here every day!

Raymond B.

Yelp
I get the schrimp mozambique with portugese rolls every friday with portugese cream of codfish. Also the chicken steak sandwich with peppers, fries and aioli sauce is the best sandwich I ever had. The garlic chicken wings are another of my go to favorites

Brian V.

Yelp
I have picked up lunch from this place twice . Fish and chips and on another ocassion pork bifana and both were excellent. I saw other reviews they must of changed their operation. I love the fries just wish they were less greasy but they are seasoned great. The guys up the street from eat lunch from there almost everyday now I know why.

Louis Y.

Yelp
My wife and I went for lunch. My wife had the Cacoila sandwich, I had the Chicken Mozambique sandwich with a side of Feast Fries. Tender meat with a little kick! Terrific food, large portions, great price.

Julia P.

Yelp
I remember when the lines used to be so long. Whenever I drive by theres barely anyone ever in there. I dont go too much but when I do I can't really complain. Food is okay, nothing too great. I'll go only when my fiance' wants it.

Ray B.

Yelp
Awesome little place. Great menu, fast, friendly service. The pulled chicken is great.

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
Cacouila sandwich was great and the sweet rice was better than my Moms. Shhhh don't tell her.

Cher D.

Yelp
Ordered the specials -Shrimp Mozambique and the Pork Alentejana. Both were absolutely delicious! The shrimp were nice and large. I ordered it with fries and rice. Yum. The taste of the sauce in the pork Alentejana is so good. I will be back. Nice job guys!

Kyle P.

Yelp
Excellent, reasonable food. Had bifanas sandwich and favas, both were excellent. Prices were perfect, and atmosphere was casual. Will certainly be coming back!

Shelly S.

Yelp
Fulfill your festa cravings!!!! Cacoila con pimenta esta bon! Looking forward to returning over the winter when I am missing the summer.

Penelope S.

Yelp
I like the concept of this place, but unfortunately I just did not like the food. The first time I had the cacoila sandwich, and it was just not good. There really isn't any other way to put it lol I decided to give them one more shot and went again. I got the chourico sandwich figuring I couldn't go wrong with a chourico sandwich in Fall River...but I was wrong. It was definitely a below average sandwich. Overall I was disappointed. I was so excited for this place to open!

Jason A.

Yelp
Friendly service, and food that reminds you of happy times in life. Avo's feast is specialized in Portuguese comfort food. I had a biffana, feast fries and the quahog stuffing. My fiancee got the cacoila. So, so very delicious. If you want some rib sticking, spicy, salty and melt in your mouth food, eat here.

Scott L.

Yelp
My girlfriend and my friend and myself stopped in for lunch i had the chicken Mozambique and it was very blah no flavor and watery , my girlfriends cacoila was not too bad but again not very flavorful and my friends fish was small empty pieces of batter had to have new pieces made and was better but not too flavorful.

Brian R.

Yelp
The food here is phenomenal and the service is even better. This Portuguese takeout concept is unique to the south coast. I've eaten here several times and the quality has been consistent. Great options for catering gatherings of any size. Try the clamcakes!

Kevin R.

Yelp
Over priced and not that good honestly. It really doesn't taste like feast food. Fries are delicious though. Quahog stuffing a bit bland. Chicken mozambique is average. Won't be getting food from here again.
