I bought two Away suitcases about seven years ago—each in a different size. Recently, the corner of my larger suitcase got severely dented and pushed inward, most likely due to rough handling during air travel. It wasn’t my fault, and it looked like something that happened in the cargo hold. I called Away to ask about it, and they told me to bring the luggage in so they could take a look. I visited the Away store in Melrose, Los Angeles, and after checking it, they offered to replace it with a brand-new one. The staff even asked if I had an upcoming trip, and when I told them I had plans to travel in early September, they arranged for the new suitcase to be shipped to me right away so I wouldn’t be without it. I’ve lived in the U.S. for many years and have dealt with different kinds of product warranties and after-sales services—but I can honestly say that Away’s customer service is the best I’ve experienced. Not only am I grateful for the replacement, but I also want to thank Sean, the staff member who helped me. He was kind, professional, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I truly appreciate his help!

Last minute, before an international trip, we were looking for a larger suitcase. I had quite the checklist. Sean helped me test out the various suitcases and run through different scenarios. He and his colleagues even knew airlines stipulations. It was a great experience.

I had an exceptional shopping experience at the Away retail store in WeHo. From my multiple visits, I can confidently say the staff consistently provides outstanding service. Each time, they were not only friendly and eager to assist but also incredibly knowledgeable, patiently answering all my questions about their luggage options. Their commitment to customer satisfaction truly shines; they went above and beyond by ordering out-of-stock items from their warehouses and other store locations to fulfill my needs. My recent product exchange was a breeze, taking less than 5 minutes! I also appreciated the convenient yellow loading parking spot right in front of the store. The staff even offered to help load my purchases into the car, making the entire experience seamless. I highly recommend this Away location for their excellent service and customer-centric approach.

My Away Travel luggage has been my trusty sidekick for years, surviving countless trips and taking a beating from just about every country I’ve visited. It’s been punched, tossed, and manhandled, yet it never tapped out. But on my last two adventures, I noticed something troubling. So, I reached out to the warranty department, expecting to send my old travel buddy in for a little R&R. To my surprise, instead of a facelift, I got a full upgrade! Came here to check out the Featherlight Weekender and Allison helped me. She was kind, patient, and very knowledgeable. I ended up making a purchase and can’t wait to use it! The store is very nice and I enjoyed the time I spent there!

We bought 2 luggage aluminium edition in black, they told us they there the most durable ones. We got them 2 days ago. One travel and it’s all ready all scratched and dented. Not recommended.

I had a great experience at the Away store in Los Angeles! The staff were incredibly patient and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain all the product features and help me find what I needed. I initially purchased something that turned out to be too small, but the exchange process was seamless and hassle-free, which I really appreciated. The store itself is clean and has a safe, welcoming vibe, although the location is a bit isolated compared to other shopping areas. That said, it's absolutely worth the trip for the excellent service and quality products. Would definitely recommend this location if you're shopping for luggage or travel essentials!

Super efficient, seamless experience. I came in with my mom and was greeted by Alexis. Right away she showed me some options for my upcoming trip. I really love their color selection. I ended up leaving with the trunk in black and a custom tag. All their designs are sleek and intentionally designed. Alexis thank you for helping me with my purchase you are amazing! There's a lifetime warranty which makes the price so worth it.

Very helpful staff and many great selections! So far the luggages have held up for one international trip. Will update after a few more. I just wish the referral bonus can be redeemed instore and not just online. Overall good experience.

SERVICE: 100% amazing. Reese/Ruiz (sorry I don't know how to spell it) was incredibly patient with me. I am the most indecisive person but he was willing to bring multiple products down the shelves for me to "try" it by the mirrors! He didn't pressure me to make a decision quickly and was very helpful with my 1000 questions. There was another lady that helped out too, I did not catch her name. I made it complicated and I bought 3 items. But after going back to my car I wanted to buy 2 more items which would qualify me for the bigger sale (spend more save more promo). Without any hesitation Reese and the lovely lady was so kind and processed my request. They're the best!! Selection: They had a a great selection! They had the sorbet orange color I wanted which wasn't ready for shipping online just yet but needed it before my trip!! I called and when they said it was available I drove on over. They are also able to personalize luggage tags at their store location :) The store was so enticing I ended up getting the matching packing cubes!! Marketing really worked with this place cause I also bought their everywhere bag so that it can go nicely on my luggage just like their display (they were not pressuring me at all, I just liked how they had their luggage and bags were displayed) Honestly, a wonderful experience. I honestly don't like shopping at melrose most of the time because of vibes people give me just because I'm not carrying/wearing luxury. But they were honestly so very kind and nice! Thank you Reese and Away Staff. I had so much fun.

I found the customer service at the Melrose store to be outstanding! I have the Medium suitcase and love it, but wanted to find a smaller carry-on that would be large enough to hold my tripod. I worked with the AWAY online customer service and called the Melrose store to get some additional dimensions. So grateful for the assistance at this store and came in to test out a couple of the suitcases. I settled on the Bigger Carry-on and can't wait to use it on several upcoming international flights. I'm betting that it will be just fine and if not, I am prepared to check it! I love the AWAY products and the service at this store is fantastic. I also had no problem with parking - saw a lot of open spaces on the street. Perhaps this is a day of week-time of day thing (I went in the afternoon on a weekday).

This company is horrible with returns. I shipped something back to them they even confirmed they received the return. I has been over 3 months and no one has refunded me the money. I have emailed them multiple times with the the proof of delivery on the item. But they repeated ask me for the ups proof of return which I have sent over multiple time. I purchase in March 2024 but I have been so busy and I followed up multile times. It is already August 2024 no funds returned yet. Do not buy their products...they are liars and cheaters.

I'm only giving the second star because I love their luggage. This is the second time I've had a horrible experience in this store. I've got 5 different pieces of luggage...5! The 4th one the handle broke on the first use. Ok things happen. But they were so not accommodating at all and pretty much made it seem like it was my fault. What about your 365 return policy? So no new bag but after whole "let me see if we can fix this" Whatever it's fixed. Fast forward to today when I brought my carryon because the inside metal frame broke - the guy who was at least very polite as he told me no they can't fix it. I have to call customer service and arrange to have it fixed. I just lugged my bag here and you can't call customer service for me? These bags are not cheap! You're here and you work for the company can you not get the work order going? No. Ok fine. Can I please leave this here for 30-46 minutes while I run to my appointment across the street so I don't have to lug my luggage? No I'm sorry we cannot hold your bag for you. Unreal. So disappointed and unsatisfied with this location. I'm hoping it's not the company and it's just the store. Guess I'm about to find out after I call customer service. My suggestion is order online and don't come here and pray nothing breaks.

My husband and I are getting ready for a trip and needed a new piece of luggage. We went to the away store on Melrose and Bronwyn was super nice and very helpful! She is the nicest staff member at the Melrose store IMO. Her attitude is great and her customer service is awesome! Lawrence was nice too! What we wanted wasn't in stock at the Melrose store so we purchased our piece of luggage at the Venice location. We chose the large flex in Navy. It is beautiful :-) also, the luggage comes with an ID tag. ***Update: we also got a Medium Flex in Black (purchased at the West Hollywood/Melrose Ave. location) a few days after we purchase the Large Flex. We haven't used our luggage yet. I just wanted to write a review and give a shout out to you, Bronwyn, for your help, kindness, friendly attitude, and great customer! Thx!!!! I will update my review after we use our new luggage!

Excellent quality bags. Fair prices the staff is really good. Come early so you can find parking. Overall great store.

My most recent visit here to make a return. I purchased The Weekender in March when they had their sale. I tried the bag out and I found out it wasn't for me and doesn't fit my traveling style. I purchased the bag in store and they issued my return without problems. They found me in their system and found my purchase history; I was in and out of the store within 2 minutes. I love their 100-day return policy.

I finally made it to the store in person today. I purchased the small everywhere bag as an accompaniment to my 21" carry on that I purchased three years ago. I hemmed and hawed over this bag for months until I finally decided it's time to make the investment. I called a few days before stopping by and they were friendly over the phone as they were in person. I had no issues with customer service at all. They also didn't pressure me into purchasing other items. Overall, I'm very happy with my Away products; my carryon has been with me through many trips both domestic and international with two months being longest living out of my carry on without sacrificing style and practicality. The store is super easy to access from either Melrose or Beverly. Parking is not a problem -- there's a lot across the store on Orlando or you could also park in that street but make sure you read the signs to avoid getting a ticket, or worse towed.

I recently visited the Melrose AWAY location and found it to be one of the least enjoyable shopping experiences I've had in recent memory. Before I get into the review I'll provide this caveat. It is my opinion the act of buying luggage is the type of thing that you do only a few times in life and typically comes at a premium price, which also implies a level of commensurate service. My wife and I entered the store and saw a handful of employees who were standing around talking, but clearly didn't have any interest in acknowledging us, let alone offering to help. It was definitely a feeling that our presence was a complete inconvenience. We were 2 of the 3 customers in the store and there were 6 sales people. Eventually we asked a young woman to show us the suitcase we were interested in. She was very disengaged in the process, and that feeling of inconvenience was palpable. We decided to purchase 2 of the bigger carry-on suitcases in two different colors (asphalt grey and green) and were promptly wrung up for our purchases. After completing the transaction, the green suitcase was brought out and we were informed that they didn't have the asphalt grey. So she sold us luggage without doing a stock check, which literally meant walking behind a curtain and looking for a box. In an attempt to save the sale she asked if there was another color I was interested in. I told her I was set on the grey color, although she continued to push me toward another color throughout our entire time in the store. She mentioned that the Venice store had it, or that they could order it and have it shipped to us, but would need to "check." We then met another associate who, right out the gate, didn't listen to us when we told him the situation and what our preferred outcome was. I had to explain it to him a few times before he finally understood, because he kept cutting me off assuming he knew what was happening. At this point, he told us that he'd have to refund one of our in store purchases and place the order online to have it shipped to us, which was fine by me. The following day I received an email telling me that the color was unavailable (although still available on the AWAY website) and that I'd need to call the store to pick another color (again with the pick another color) or cancel my order. In the end, I cancelled my order with the Melrose location and called over to the Venice location, where I spoke with a young lady who was extremely helpful and I was able to purchase the suitcase in the color I wanted without feeling like I was a total inconvenience. The moral of the story is shop the Venice store if you need luggage. The Melrose location's reviews are packed with stories just like this one, so trust and believe that you will have a similar experience if you choose to shop there. Or if you just want to see the products in person and hate pushy sales people, visit this store and then place your order online. I guarantee the website experience will be far superior to dealing with anyone at the Melrose location.

The assistant manager whom introduced herself as The manager was extremely rude and unhelpful. Was not aware of the appropriate process to exchange a luggage. DO NOT buy their stuff! The return was done and we confirmed they had received the brand new unopened luggage and we never received the refund! We had to dispute with AX. No phone number to contact! Absolutely mess of a business!

I came here a couple months ago to get a new luggage, and I wish I could remember the gentleman's name, but he was super friendly when I walked in. He gave me a lot of great/relatable advice for my mom's birthday gift. Was in n out of there within 20ish minutes. If I could give 1 tip for anyone looking to shop here: Do some research on their different product tiers before coming into the store. It will make your life easier to understand all the different luggages.

Was waiting for upgrading my luggage for a long time and finally decided to do it since my old ones are so outdated, heavy and only have two wheels make it harder to travel. Heard good things about away from friends and the internet and decided coming to the store to see it first before buying. Most of the customers kind of already what they wanted, so the service here was pretty quick and smooth...the girl who helped me was great and showing me different features, sizes and telling me about the bundle deals, return policy and trial and repairing service. Everything was quick and easy, but parking can be challenging. We parked a block down, they offered us to stop our car for pick up, but we ended up rolling the luggage since that's what the luggage is for.

Called today because I am having issues with my luggage. The girl who answered the phone today was not very friendly or helpful. She seemed to be bothered and annoyed that she was helping me. I'd never shop at that store ever again. It offers lack of customer service and professionalism with the employees. I ended up emailing the customer service and they got back to me very quickly with a positive attitude and a proactive plan & solution for my needs. I am happy to say that the online crew helped me out! If I were you, I wouldn't waste my time with walking into this store. Shopping online is so much easier and you won't have to deal with professional sales people.

I highly highly recommend this brand not only because of their amazing luggage but has the best customer service! I had some damage to the outside of my luggage. I brought it in to see if they can repair, however personally thought I would be told it was due to wear and tear. They immediately offered to replace. I've purchased several luggages from here for myself and as a gift and will continue to. Thanks Away!

This has to be one of the finest luggage shops in the city. Conveniently located on trendy Melrose Avenue on the West Hollywood- Los Angeles border. Away has to be one of the finest names in beautiful luggage. Went into the location to change the lock code which was done very quickly and without charge. I highly recommend this location for all your luggage needs. Meter parking in front of store with a small lot in the rear.

Great products. Great customer service... I've had my eye on Away luggage for a while now and I wanted to get one for my lady for her birthday. She had gotten me an extended trip sized polycarbonate roller from a competing brand but there was something that kept drawing me back to Away. It was great to find out that there is an Away store on Melrose at Orlando. I called the week I was planning on going there and spoke with Lindsey who was super helpful. I mentioned I was interested in a Navy Large or Medium but I needed to see the luggage next to me to really make the decision on which was the right size for my lady. She gave me options as far as paid holds and even checked inventory knowing I wasnt gonna be in store until the weekend. It really gave me peace of mind that I was looking at the right brand with her customer service over the phone. I really appreciated that. Fast forward to the weekend and the store was bustling. They were doing luggage personalization on luggage in one part of the store. There were people checking out luggage left and right. Shelly was the salesperson that saw I needed help and she was able to show the difference between the Medium and Large. Luckily for me a set of Navy ones were on display and I was able to roll it, handle it and open it up. Shelly was patient with me as she knew it was a birthday gift and I mentioned that I really like the color of the Sand ones. She was able to get a Large in Sand for me. That was the one I ended up buying. I loved the color and Shelly mentioned it was her favorite of all the light colored ones. I appreciated her help... My girl loves the luggage and plans to use it for Tulum and Hawaii. Thanks Lindsey and Shelly... Appreciated both of your guys' help. My only gripe was that my receipt, as it turned out was addressed to the wrong email address (i have a paper copy). I keep forgetting to call the store to see if they can email it to the right one.

This is a mediocre product, that is not worth purchasing. It is a grease magnet. The exterior is not designed for effective cleaning. It is a joke. You are better off carrying paper bags on the plane., What a waste

I just wanted to thank the Melrose Away location for assisting me in finding the perfect carryon for my trip to France this spring. Bronwyn was excellent and accommodated all my needs both in the utility of the luggage and stayed within my budget. Brei also let me know I'll have a lifetime warranty with my new purchase. I will be shopping with them again!

This product rocks! Bye Rimowa....most over priced piece of crap. Look at the dents, straps inside tire out and now no handle. Back back to my AWAY LUGGAGE ALL THE WAY!

Shout out to the West Hollywood Away store. I have quite a few pieces of Away luggage and nothing else compares. The quality and ease of use are unmatched. I typically buy online but needed something quick and went in store today. Their customer service is wonderful. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. I will keep coming back. After wasting so much money on buying cheap luggage's that just don't last, I decided to make an investment on a good quality one that has a lifetime warranty. After one of my trips I noticed that TSA messed up my lock somehow. AWAY customer service did offer to replace my bag, however it was a limited edition color and not available, so I went in to their Melrose location on a whim and was pleasantly surprised at how fast Gustavo was able to replace my lock, and most of all, happy that I got to keep my adorable amethyst colored bag. Thank you AWAY, and Gustavo for restoring my faith in customer service.

Great customer service, and answered every question we threw at them. Be advised, currently they do close from 14:00-15:15 to give employees a proper break. Luckily we arrived ~20 minutes before and was able to get in and out. Hands down the best luggage anyone could ever buy.

Make sure to inspect your item when choosing curbside pickup!! A lady brought my Medium Flex luggage to the loading zone. It's not wrapped or anything so I asked if I could take a look before driving away. I noticed two pretty noticeable scratches on the black part near the handle bar and asked if I could get another one. She came back a few minutes later with one that had a white cover on the handle bar and said: "Here's a brand new one!" Hearing that instantly made me wonder--shouldn't they all be "new?" LOL This experience left a sour taste in my mouth knowing that I almost went home with a $400+ used luggage...and that maybe they hoped I wouldn't notice because I chose curb side pickup :(

We were walking by a few weeks ago not in the immediate need for luggage as we both have a ton from many companies including: North Face, Eagle Creek, Samsonite, Delsey, Travelpro, Patagonia... I like to tell women that don't know me that I have a lot of "baggage." But we took a close look at the Away carry-on, and the Away large check-in model. The first salesperson to help us, he may have been hung over from Saturday night, but we found a way cut him loose and got some help from a salewoman that was crack and able to answer our many questions. Away luggage all models comes with their proprietary organizing system. It's okay if it does not take up too much space. Cute is the built in laundry bag. I travel with my own usually. The Carry-on has a compartment for a charging battery which adds weigh to the case but is there if you need it. The only thing is, I subjected the bag to a normal handling test and if you drop the bag on its wheels the spring mechanism that holds the battery in place ejects it! I though maybe it was just a defective bag so I tried it on another bag and that battery popped out too. I was having so fun with this that I did it over and over a few times while my partner occupied the salesperson's time. I was trying to catch the battery as it popped up. And that leads me to the wheels--another Away nice thing is that if you break or lose a wheel, just come into the store and they can fit it. Not bad. Why are the wheels getting broken is my question? Some of the models come in some cool colors too. Here is my opinion on Away after 35+ years of travel with tons of other brands of luggage. I would not recommend it or tell you not to purchase it. It did not wow me or discourage me. Go and check it out for yourself and make sure to wheel it all over the store on carpet especially with weight in it (they put weights in some bags--helpful). My partner--she was unable to move the large check-in over carpet in the Away store and the handle did not extend enough for her to feel comfortable moving it--she is on the short side. Away did not impress me enough to add it to my Luggage collection right now. The last piece I purchased last summer for a Europe single bag carry-on trip was North Face and it has just 2 big recessed wheels with nice tread that are a lot easier to move with than any 4 wheel luggage from any manufacturer. I beat that one up and it survived like a champ. Away may also perform like a champ--up to you.

Came in yesterday and was assisted my Jeannette. She was so knowledgeable and helpful and kind which I really appreciated. She showed me everything that I had seen online and had questions about and I ended up getting all the things I wanted bc they had it all in stock and I am now I am even more excited to travel! Also when I was checking out Bri assisted me and sold me the little mini bag hanging by the cash registers! She told me they'd be great to add if I have AirPods which I do! She had great energy. Thank you away team for everything !

i replaced my Rimowas with Away aluminum luggage and i'm very happy with the results, I love my luggage so much that i'm getting my family a set for xmas. Amazing customer service too btw!!

I have been reading reviews and following Away on Instagram for sometime now. I do a lot of traveling and wanted to invest in a piece of luggage that would last me a lifetime. I was excited to learn that they have a showroom in Los Angeles! There isn't a parking lot, but I parked out front at a meter. I was greeted by both employees upon arrival. Angelina helped me with questions that I had. She even talked about the maintenance! She was fantastic! I happily purchase my carry on bag in the sand color and left the store beaming!! At the airport, my carry on was so easy to glide through the terminals! The luggage fits about 1 week of summer clothes and 3 pairs of shoes. The luggage also comes with a built in battery to charge your phone while traveling. My favorite part of this whole luggage was the roll up laundry bag inside!!! I'm so impressed how much stuff fits in such an organized bag!!! Such a great investment!

Just went in cuz honestly rimowa might be the suitcase en vogue but they suck @$$ Parking is a mess but hey it's melrose ave Braunwyn helped me with my 10000 questions knew every answer was super kind. Vibe is good Even tho I didn't buy anything cuz I'm waiting on a color to make my decision everybody was helpful and get what y'all Even if I buy the large suitcase the carry on the bad sone other accessories that's barely the price of my rimowa carry on !!! Oh let's not forget the carry on as it's own charger !!!! They don't have usb-c charger yet but when they do I'll probably just switch it and get the newer version !!

This review is based on my experience in store today and the product (pre-travel - though I think it will be just fine when I actually do use it next month). Adrien, Stephanie and Angelina were working when I came in and all three of them were fantastic! Adrien was patient and showed me all of the luggage features while I compared the regular carry on and the "bigger" carry on. While the size difference was only $20 extra for a bigger, I chose the smaller because the smaller carry on was more guaranteed to be allowed as a carry on in international flights. When I do eventually take an international flight, I'd like to be able to travel without checking it. Stephanie and Angelina helped me figure out what color to choose and were very knowledgeable about how to clean it if the pink I chose got scuffed (magic eraser). Overall, I'm really glad I came in to the store to check out the product in person. I am a fan of the return policy (if it turns out too small or I decide I don't like the color, I can bring it back within 100 days). I will recommend this to friends and family and invest in more luggage in the future, especially if my travel experiences go well!

I love Away luggage!! I've bought many suitcases from them, and recently bought a new bag online and waited up until day 99 to return it at this location lol. They staff was super nice and I really appreciated their covid protocols (temperature checks included)! It's such a nice store too. I will definitely use Away for all of my luggage needs.

I came here about a month ago - clearly curious by all the hype. Luggage is luggage right? I came on a Friday. The store had 1-2 customers. The sales people who weren't servicing anyone were just sitting around by the cash wrap chatting. I was greeted but never checked on afterwards. I had questions. It seemed like it was too much to pull them away from chatting with each other. I left with nothing and still confused why all the hype. I came back over this past weekend bc a friend told me to give it another chance. I also wanted to check out the new collaboration colors - I mean what do I have to lose right? Just my time. The store was packed. Like all sales people were helping customers and there was a handful of people waiting to be helped. I was expecting to be dismissed/ignored. Instead, Missy greeted me, told me someone would be right with me. And she meant it. I was planning on only getting the limited edition line (apparently it's an online only so whoops on my part). Missy was great and ended up helping me. I left with a bigger carry on and a large checked bag because she was so great. In and out within 20 minutes. Took extra time because I was indecisive on color and I didn't want all the cases to be the same. She was super friendly, gave me space and was very patient with me. She didn't pressure or upsell me. It. Was. Glorious. For those who commented that service was ick - might try to go back again and give it a go. You never know who you end up working with. Glad I did. In regards to the luggage - yes. The handles feel flimsy bc there's a lot of movement to them as you're pushing / pulling them along. They roll the same as any other trolley bag I've had - on carpet, tile, pavement. I still got stuck rolling on carpet on the jetway, in the carpeted area of the hotel, and in and out of elevators. One perk though is you can stack the carryon on top of the large checked bag and roll them together (like photo) or pull up both handles and have them be back to back so you can hold both handles together. It does scuff (a magic eraser is included). The photo is after my first trip - carryon has to be gate checked, and obvi the large one was checked at check in. Both bags look great. The best thing I love about these bags - they store a ton than my regular soft side bags (in the same size). I was worried that without the expander I'd be screwed. Surprisingly, I still have space left over and I'm a raging over packer!!

*** Update Sept 28, 2018 ~ Back in love w AWAY!!! *** The lovely folks at AWAY MELROSE, those being Manager Lindsey and Salesperson Missy, explained that corner reinforced bags are now the Away standard and happily gave me a new Away suitcase, one WITH the stronger corners! I'm thrilled once more and look forward to road-and-flight testing my new and stronger Away luggage. This is a nice company and the one unfortunate experience I had now seems atypical when viewed in the rear view mirror... Thank you, AWAY! --------------------------/------------------------

OK, I'll admit, Instagram made me do it. #shame #shame #shame. But I "needed" new luggage for an upcoming trip! I was happy I had the opportunity to go into a physical store. The salesperson, Kira, who helped me was great. She spent lots of time answering my questions and showing me the various products. The store seemed overstaffed but because the salesperson spent so much time with me, I can see why they need a deep bench. I'm I an influencer now?!

Just got my 7th Away product I love traveling with the suitcase and Everywhere bag setup. Didn't know they had a store here but was so excited to see it!! I also didn't know I could love Away more, but Drew made us have an even better experience. We'll definitely be back.

My friends and I went here to check out the luggages with the intent of buying in mind. I was actually sold the first time I saw them. Incredible staff! Super helpful and knowledgeable with their products. We didn't feel rush at all. In fact, we almost spent 2hrs looking around testing the luggages. I was torn between the "sand" and the "asphalt" color. Asphalt won in the end! I can't wait to bring it to every adventures Im about to take! (: -the one that got Away

I just went in set on purchasing a piece of luggage. There were around 7 employees in a completely empty store laughing with each other. No one seemed to want to help and I got major "better than you" energy. After ten minutes of no one bothering to offer help I just left.

Kindel & Lindsey have made my day. I was in contact with customer service because I really wanted the Aurora bigger carry on that was completely sold out everywhere. I actually went in store and spoke to the Manager about being on a waitlist if they ever so happen to get one in. They did! And they called me. Such a lovely experience so far. I have yet to try the bag yet. But they do have a 100 day return policy. So I'm not too stressed out about it. Thanks Kindel and Lindsey for the wonderful customer service.

Super nice customer service for the most part. The first girl who helped me was really sweet but was not a very good sales person. LOL. I need a little more to be sold on a luggage. Luckily the next lady to help me was super awesome and very convincing. Kudos to her! I get indecisive when it comes to things like this, so her advice and overall amazing personality had me sold! I wish I knew her name (red hair), she's a cool cat. Anyways, the "bigger carry-on" aluminum luggage is mine! Why the one star deduction? I was a little annoyed because when I called the store the morning of, the dude told me they had a couple of the aluminum in stock... but then when I get there the other associates tell me they don't have it in stock. Other than that, no complaints! I'll let y'all know how I line the luggage by the end of the month. I have a few short trips planned. Stay tuned! Quick Tips: 1. Street parking. 2. They have a full body mirror so you can see how the luggage looks "on" you. LOL. Yes.

Generally, I have a great experience here but it all depends on the staff member advising you. Some seem more excited and knowledgeable about the products than others. Ideally, everyone that works here has a passion for travel and understands why Away luggage is such an awesome solution. Insider tip: Get familiar with the products online before heading to the store.

Let's say I had been a fan of the Away brand ever since there well done marketing campaign went out over social media. I was going to purchase online but waited for the LA store to open on Melrose and am super glad I did. My wife and I were very impressed by the corner location and where it located on Melrose; fantastic spot to continue enjoying shopping and/or foodie excursion in the area. The store is bright and welcoming with friendly employees who are very knowledgeable and helpful without feeling pushy. All of the collections in pretty much all of the color ways are there for you to peruse through and match/compare. Product is of great quality. Light but well constructed. Easy roll ability with 4 wheels. Awesome charging port for your devices, which now is ejectable (if you bought older model, then they will revise it for you so it ejects free of charge while you grab lunch!). Great brand!!

VERY UPSET.... I went to away luggage to send my future daughter in law a gift for Chanukah knowing I only had three days to get the package to Miami I paid the extra 35.00 to ship it priority. I was assured it would arrive on time. Well not only did it NOT arrive on time I was sent a notice that the item was FLAGGED as a HAZARDOUS MATERIALS???!!! WTF ? That it would be sent BACK to sender! 2 DAYS AFTER Chanukah I called the store and spoke with the manager that sounded like she was helping me." I will refund you the shipping...I will send the bag now and right this minute email you the new tracking number" BLAH BLAH BLAH That was 3 days ago NO PACKAGE NO EMAIL NO TRACKING NUMBER. I am FURIOUS...Tomorrow I will call corporate and be sure to tell everyone I know about my awful experience with AWAY You should STAY AWAY from away.

Finally I get to see the AWAY luggages in person! Sales in the store are nice and not pushy, they have luggages laying on the table so you can see how they are and test them out. One thing is that if you want to buy the luggages that has options of battery or not battery, they don't have the no battery option in the store to take with you. They can order it for you though. :)

The team over at Away certainly know WTF customer service is all about! A month ago, I went to a private event at the store and purchased the Bigger Carryon in White (yes, I was being ambitious thinking I'd be able to keep it clean despite the amount of travel I do). So, after coming back down to reality, I went back to the store to exchange it (I took advantage of their generous 100-day return/exchange policy). My #firstworldproblem was that I needed the replacement color to match my fav weekender bag (a plum-colored Longchamp). This time, I was smart enough to bring it to the store with me to try and coordinate. After Lily (the store manager) and the staff patiently and tirelessly help me to find the best match, I settle on the Brick -- which wasn't exactly what I wanted, but it was the closest they had to it. So, I left the store deflated but accepted the next best thing that I could find. Then...a couple of weeks later, I get the most excitement-inducing email from Lily (swear, she's from heaven) saying that they had a few limited edition bags in Violet -- a perfect purple to match my weekender bag stylishly! Lily offered to hold it or ship it to me if needed. I was toooo eager to wait, so I hightailed my butt over to WeHo to collect the next day. And it was absolutely everything I had asked for! So, big props to Lily and the team at Away -- y'all make me look good while I'm in them foreign streets ;)

Love this store. Been a fan of their luggage but couldn't pull the trigger until I can see the luggage in person. Thanks to this Away store, I finally can get a better sense of the luggage size between the carry on and the bigger carry on. Plus able to see the actual color, surface texture and the neat USB charging port was super helpful. Gorgeous store with beautiful décor and great friendly helpful staff. Love the vibe! PS, I was told that the magic eraser works really well with removing scuffs from the luggage surface. Not 100% but definitely better than nothing.
