We had a few nights here celebrating our anniversary. The hotel staff were amazing. Everyone we interacted with made our stay that little bit more special. 🫶🏻. Reception is at their sister hotel a few steps away. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of Valletta so getting about was easy. We had a superior room which was large and had everything we needed. The added touch of a “heart towel” and bubbles on ice was amazing from the staff. 💞. There are busy bars outside but once the windows and doors were shut there was only a slight noise late at night, it didn’t annoy us at all. We booked breakfast which is at the sister hotel and wow how amazing was that 🤗. The staff at breakfast were all amazing too. I require gluten free food along with other food intolerances and they didn’t make a fuss and accommodated this impeccably. We spent an evening at the “cheeky Monkey” outside our hotel. Drinks were great along with the snack food we had, a good place with a good vibe. We will be returning to Valletta at some point and will definitely be returning to this hotel. Thankyou to everyone that made our stay magical 💞

Great hotel to stay in centre of Valletta. No where is more than a 10 minute walk. Room was really modern, clean and comfortable. Staff are very welcoming and attentive. We only had breakfast at the hotel but this was lovely. The hotel is situated on a busy pedestrian street but was very quiet inside. Couldn’t fault the hotel and definitely recommend

Me and my friends enjoyed our stay. Breakfast staff were amazing especially Katho who is very friendly,attentive and welcoming. The mocha is a must try, absolutely delicious. ||The staff at the front desk were also amazing. Everyone provides high standard quality service. ||The location is a great spot in the center of Valletta,super convenient and easy to find.

AX The Saint John hotel in Valletta, Malta, was a great find. I booked it via Jet2 and did not regret it. We had breakfast at the sister hotel AX Rosselli a few doors down from our hotel. Breakfast was wow - not only the food - mainly the staff led by Katho - who looked after us so well and in a friendly manner, recalling our names after day 1. We booked a superior room at the Saint John to give us a little extra space and that was a good decision. We were at the front of the hotel and at first I was concerned about the noise given it was a very busy street - no concerns at all as very quiet when windows closed.|We had an issue with the AC and this was resolved quickly via reception at the Rosselli.|The hotel room was clean and the hotel itself was ideally located to enjoy all the sights and restaurants / bars in Valletta.|Highly recommend!!

We stayed at this fab hotel during August 2025 for 4 nights and 5 days and I must say that it was a superb choice. ||Hotel: |The hotel is located centrally on merchant street Valletta and it is 5-10 mins away from most of the attractions. For example at one end of this street you will find the bus station , the upper Baraka gardens , at johns cathedral which is couple of streets away, Valletta beach which is again 10-15 mins walk away etc. As soon as you step out of this hotel it has rows of eateries and the famous steps to eat at on st Julian’s and st Lucas streets. |The hotel has two hotels couple of doors away -St johns hotel is 4* and their other hotels couple doors away is Roselli 5* . When you check in or need the reception it is based not in St John’s but in Roselli. They offer welcome drinks on arrival and they hold your bags for you to start your adventure without the need for checking in straight away. Our room was very spacious and luxurious- the room was not what I was expecting. It did over exceed my expectations in terms of design , cleanliness and comfort. The room has iron, hair dryer , mini fridge , daily complimentary water , soaps, cotton pads and other toiletries. The WiFi worked in the hotel really well! Aircon was good , but annoyingly during the night it got to a certain temp and would switch off - this caused me to get too hot and have disrupted nights sleep! ||Staff: |Our experience would not have been superb if it was not for the staff. A special mention to :|Umair- An absolute gem who was of a very happy disposition and ensured our water was topped up and that he gave the highest , courteous service. |Naman- this man went up and beyond to make sure our experience of Valletta was the best. He made a few calls for us when we couldn’t get booking for a beach day and we were very grateful for his recommendation. |Dahy - He was so attentive , listened to what we needed and ensured we got what we asked for! |Amal - super courteous and informative . He always gave us suggestions and advice of the highest calibre. |The service of all staff we encountered was beyond anything I have experienced in other places. On observation with all walks of life their service was the highest for everyone that walked through the door! (Please give them a raise and a special recognition for the job they do!!) ||Sightseeing |The hotel is centrally located as mentioned above most attractions could be seen by walking to them. The hotel provides you with a basic map which is very helpful and Amal ensured he mapped out all the points of interest to us on this map which was easy to follow. |Transport: |We used a taxi from the airport that dropped us at the end of the road and we had to take our suit cases to the door. The taxi could not go beyond a point . We got the talijia bus card which gave use 12 journeys for 19 euros - this worked out for us which meant we could see other areas of the island. We did a lot of exploring in just the 4 days we were there! As the bus station was 10/15 mins walk from us it was very easy to get around. ||Food|We didn’t have any food at the hotel because we were always exploring and hence eating where it was convenient- however we did have drinks at the cheeky monkey bar which is based at the hotel - it has a good vibe and live music . We had drinks at the rooftop bar the grain which I would recommend . ||If I was to explore Valletta again then I would stay here without a second thought! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and for us the staff are the ones that made the first visit to Malta the best visit!! ||Thank you for all you do! ||Kind regards |Miss Sebina and Miss Valani

This is a top class boutique hotel. We had the family suite which was ideal for two people - loads of space. The furnishings are of the very highest quality and the room was spotlessly clean. What makes this hotel stand out is the quality of service. Staff remember you by name and more impressively remember simple preferences eg at breakfast. Not cheap but like many thinks in life you get what you pay for. Highly recommended for a high class stay right in the middle of Valletta with everything just a shirt walk away.

The staff made this experience we had for a week so enjoyable- always happy and caring to help. Great location and Rohit and his team, including the wonderful Leserlie, started our day at breakfast with joy. We had an issue with the air con and they were prompt trying to sort out. Great experience- also Grano bar is great place for night caps.

What a fantastic boutique hotel annexed to the stunning Rosalli hotel. Staff were superb, the rooms exceptional and more importantly "no black mould around the shower or sink". Lovely large thick soft towels which does make a difference.The breakfast was brilliant and the coffee delicious. We are staying there again on a regular basis as it was that good.
