Awesome place to get a drink with friends. Came here on a work trip and we were able to get a half off deal of two bottles. We shared wine and chatted for over an hour enjoying the atmosphere and each others company.

Google
Super cute environment! Lots of seating options to mix it up a bit. It's fairly quiet so you can have a conversation, yet there is music playing, which is so nice. In warmer weather, they have an outdoor patio. They offer some snack type foods for purchase as well as wine. There are a lot of Minnesota wines and a few non-Minnesota wines. My glass of Cabernet Sauvignon was $15, but some of the other wines are a little less expensive. Update: they extended the outdoor seating, which was perfect for the beautiful weekend. Flights are offered for $15 and you can choose any three wines to combine off the menu. It's a perfect way to try the various wines without committing to a glass.

Google
Went to one of their dinner and wine pairings “Wine and Swine”. It was a really fun and interesting night. Food was really good and the wine pairings were a great match. A nice change of pace from the breweries.

Google
Really nice space. Open and not crowded on Saturday night because apparently it’s underrated. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The wine is amazing. I tried it for the first time for a friend’s birthday and we were allowed to bring cake/cupcakes. Definitely recommend this place! I don’t recall the wines we tried but we tried 5 bottles , a mix of red and white, and they were all great.

Google
Great place to socialize and have some wine. The inside is very quaint and relaxing. It’s a good spot for an intimate evening or even a group of friends. I recommend the flights to get a taste of their wines. I wish I could give it a 5, but the plates are a little overpriced for what you get. They’re still delicious but could be a little bigger.

Google
I had a lot of fun doing the seated tasting and then enjoying a flight and some small bites afterwards. The atmosphere was great and the staff took a lot of pride in their Minnesota wines. I do think the prices were a bit high, especially for the charcuterie boards, and I wish the tasting had some snacks along with it. I also wish there were more reds to choose from, I didn't love either of the ones I've tried.

Google
My wife and I attended the soft opening and enjoyed a wine flight, cheese tray and a bottle of the Marquette red which I thought tasted great. This winery space has a great urban vibe, friendly service, large central bar, and a multitude of different seating options. We will be back!

Google
Tried this place on a whim Saturday night. My fiance and I both bought a wine flight each with 6 different wines. We are avid wine drinks and this did not meet expectations. None of the wines were good (some reminded me of cheap wine from college) and the semi-sparkling rose gave off a horse barn aroma. We didnt even want to finish our glasses. The staff were very nice and great vibe but this is not enough for us to want to return.

Yelp
Had been wanting to try this place for quite a while after visiting its mother store, Schram Vineyards, several times and finally got there recently. The space is a little different, it's actually below ground and watching feet walk by on the sidewalk was a little strange, but we got over it. They have some fun local varieties and carry some different bottle than what are at Schram. They also have a wide array of food selections. Our group had just had brunch, so we accompany our wines with a cheese plate. We went in at a quiet time, so service was excellent. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I've been to AceBridge a couple of times. The first time, my group of 4 did the simple tasting. The owner happened to be there so he did the tasting and we ended up getting so much more. Not only did he end up letting us sample more than expected, he also gave us a great lesson on his company and the evolution of wine in MN. Last weekend, I was back with a group of 11. This time we were there for the limo tour (listed on their website). I highly recommend. We all had such a good time. It was completely worth the cost when we split it up evenly per person.

Lucy L.

Yelp
I liked the vibes of the place. I will say that when I do like talking about wine and I was split between two different red wines and when I tried asking the bar tender about what wines they would recommend based upon the wines I typically drink and flavor notes I typically gravitate towards I got a very vague and non helpful answer. For context, I've gone to other places and asked a similar question and usually get something more detailed/specific. I felt like the selection of wines was ok and the wine I chose was fine. Overall cute ambiance and id be willing to go if someone else wanted to go but i would not go out of my way to go

Yelp
I recently attended a group tasting event at Axe Bridge Winery with around 30 women, and I am thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our group had a memorable time. We were fortunate to have a private back area reserved for our tasting, creating an intimate and comfortable atmosphere. Carl, the wine aficionado serving us, was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating, adding to the overall positive ambiance. I also had the opportunity to sample their food menu, and I must say, the Marquette burger was an absolute delight. Cooked to perfection, it was juicy and flavorful, making every bite a culinary delight. The Caesar salad was fresh and complemented the burger beautifully. We tried 5 wines, and I enjoyed them all! Each sip was a testament to the expertise and passion of the winemakers. The quality and variety of wines offered are a true testament to Axe Bridge Winery's dedication to their craft. Overall, my experience at Axe Bridge Winery was outstanding. The combination of excellent customer service, superb wines, and delicious food made it a memorable outing. I highly recommend Axe Bridge Winery to anyone seeking a top-notch winery experience. Five stars all the way!

Yelp
Fantastic happy hour. They have specials on full bottles as well well as appetizers. Great place to hit after work.

Yelp
I went to Axe for a podcast dating event for the first time. There's street parking which took me sometime to find one. Upon entering the bldg, I noticed that I was warmed up right away and the place is massive! It's nicely decorated with wine barrels, garlands and Christmas tree. The place was packed with people there for the event so finding seats was hard and my group and I had to watch the live event on our phones. I got their charcuterie board and n/a bev. It's a beautiful place to go and great for events. I think I'll like to check it out w/o an event just to actually experience their normal vibe and service. Great place for taking pictures too.

Yelp
We've been here many times. All the food and wine is SO good. We ended up having our rehearsal dinner & welcome cocktails the night before our wedding here and it was a perfect setting

Yelp
What a FIND!!!!! While in town for the holidays I wanted to explore the new restaurants and businesses in the north loop. After a google search I stumbled upon Axebridge. So I popped in on a Saturday night, my sister was running late so I sat at the bar while waiting for her. When I arrived the place had just finished a wedding so I was the only person there. All of the staff were very friendly and took care of me right away. I started with flight that included a white, rosé, and red option. I actually enjoyed all three but decided to stick with the white Frontenac Blanc for the evening . I also ordered the small baked fontina which was actually mind blowing, all of the flavors danced on my tastebuds with each bite. The bubbly warm cheese and touch of honey with rosemary is rhetorical best combination ever created. When my sister arrived she ordered a wine cocktail aka a margarita and cheeseburger w/rosemary fries. The cocktail was handcrafted by Cody who really knew his mixology because the cocktail was very close to a margarita. I had a few bites of the cheeseburger and it was warm, juicy and full of flavor. And to our surprise it was a double decker, the truffle mayo was an extra special treat for the already hot, fresh and very tasty rosemary French fries. The seating areas around the restaurant offer a different vibe for anyone who visits there are some semi private couch areas, larger booths, high tops, table seating and cozy chairs. The entire restaurant has barrels all around that have wine in them waiting to be bottled and shared. I loved Axebridge so much I had to share them with my friends so we returned for trivia night on Wednesday and played "Trivia Mafia" in the champagne room. We arrived a little before 6 and had to chance to partake in a few happy hour options before starting the game. The trivia was fun, challenging and something different to do for a mid week option. I will definitely be back with family and friends when I come back home and recommend Axebridge to anyone visiting Minneapolis!

Yelp
The girls and I spent a Sunday afternoon doing a Wine Tasting at AxeBridge! We were celebrating a birthday and Jonathon took wonderful care of us. There was a DJ playing, which felt like a strange vibe for a Sunday afternoon, but we had a great time commiserating with Jonathon about how loud it was. You step downstairs to enter the tasting room and it is incredibly beautiful. Set in the heart of the warehouse district, they have used and enhanced all of the rustic charms to create a really interesting and calming vibe. There is a bar in the middle with tables and a few lounge areas surrounding it. There is also a glass-walled Champagne Room if you are looking for some more privacy. We had the Signature Tasting Experience, where we enjoyed 5 1 oz pours (but Jonathon was plenty generous with us). We had a whole menu to pick from, and they recommend you go from the lightest to the heaviest, so we (mostly) stuck to that! My absolute favorite was the Bumbley, their honey wine that they mix with a fruit infusion. I also enjoyed the Sparkling Rose, Riesling, and Timber Rose! (as you can tell, I prefer a sweet wine :) ) As a little bonus, Jonathon did a Porron off the bar for us! They stood on the bar and poured the wine directly into our mouths with the special Porron pitcher. This is usually a Friday and Saturday night thing, so you just have to ask for it if you want this fun experience! They have a lot of variety of wines and how many you can try in a sitting so I look forward to going back and continuing to try! I have also taken a trip out to their sister winery, Schram Vineyards, which was so beautiful and worth the drive out to Waconia. We had brunch before our tasting, so we didn't get any food but they have a decent menu of brunch and appetizers. Your server will take your order but once your food is ready, there is a counter outside the kitchen where you pick it up. There were also a few groups that had small leashed dogs with them which was fun!

Yelp
I booked our group a wine tasting for a friend's birthday online, and this was such a fun experience that they offer! Note, the wine tasting is $22 per person - I couldn't find the price listed when making the reservation on Tock. The interior and ambiance in here is amazing - you could really spend all day in here and have no idea what time it is! I love the elevated rustic feel. There's plenty of seating, and i can't wait for them to open their patio in the warmer weather! The only downside was that Sunday that had a DJ BLASTING music all afternoon, to the point where we couldn't hear each other or the employee doing our wine tasting. We all got headaches - plus the music didn't fit the vibe of the winery at all. I'd make a suggestion for a live guitarist or a DJ that plays more acoustic style music. Luckily, Jonathan (who ran our wine tasting) was so understanding and tried multiple times to have the music turned down. The wine tasting itself was fabulous and Jonathan knows their stuff! They were able to give us so much interesting information about each wine we tasted, plus gave wonderful recommendations. The tasting includes 5, 1oz pours - but Jonathan was definitely a little heavier on the pour which we appreciated. It was a very busy Sunday, so the timing between each glass was long - but Jonathan apologized a few times and gave us an extra pour for the inconvenience which we so appreciated! I'm someone that likes a sweeter wine, and doesn't drink red wine, so I loved using the tasting to figure out what I liked! My favorite was the Bumbley, I wish they bottled it so I could take it home. Otherwise, I loved the Reisling, Blanc, and Timber Rose. The best part of our tasting was that Jonathan did a Porron off the bar for us to celebrate our friend's birthday! They said that over the weekend they'll do it if you're up at the bar, so try asking next time! Overall, this had the potential to be a rough experience with the loud music and long wait times - but Jonathan was such a joy to work with they made it a fun experience. We will definitely be back for some trivia on a Wednesday night and just a day/night out for some wine!

Ellie B.

Yelp
I've been to Axebridge once or twice before for trivia night, but this weekend we made a reservation for a wine tasting to celebrate a friends birthday and it was such a great experience! We got there around 1pm on a Sunday and it was definitely more crowded than usual for that day/time. The one downside to this time was that there was a DJ in playing music pretty loudly the entire time we were there. If it was night time this would have been fun, but as it was 1pm on a Sunday it was just a bit too loud to hear each other talk and we ended up having to yell to each other over the music. The star of the show was the sommelier/staff member helping us, Jonathan! They were so friendly and super knowledgeable about all of the wines on the menu. We had a few questions each pour, and they answered us in perfect detail to help recommend the wine we'd like the best! We had a bit of a wait between pours due to it being busier than expected, but Jonathan gave us an extra pour at the end to make up for it which was so nice! Since we were also there celebrating a birthday, Jonathan told us about a tradition from Barcelona called a porron and let us try it! This was such a fun time, a great memories, and definitely made our friends birthday so special! The tasting was $22, definitely worth it for the amount and variety of wines you get to try. My favorites were the Itasca, Bumbley (praying that they start selling this by the bottle soon it is so good!!), timber blanc, and the riverside ruby. My group is already planning a day to go back!

Ellie B.

Yelp
Axebridge is my favorite place to go in the North Loop! They have great wines and food, the service is always good, and the overall ambiance is so much fun! We went to their happy hour - $5 glasses of wine, wine shots, and appetizers. We had the spinach dip and the cheese curds with rosemary honey. Would highly recommend the cheese curds although the spinach dip was not my favorite. It is hard to go wrong with any of their wines though. Definitely will be back!

Joanne E.

Yelp
We had such a lovely first experience at AxeBridge! Great atmosphere, a really comfortable vibe while still being chic. Our wine slush was delicious on such a hot day! And our food was delicious! We can't wait to come back for that cheese board again!

Mezan G.

Yelp
Vibe: This place is stunning. It is very spacious and plenty of seating for small & large groups. Seating ranges from high top tables, couches by the fireplace, the bar and the patio (weather permitting of course). They also offered various board games to keep you company. Drinks: They had a good variety of wines ranging from dry to sweet. Not a red wine fan? Well, lucky for you they've got an array of wine ranging from white, sparking, red and more. Service: Not sure what you like? The servers got you covered. They have such an incredible team. They were extremely attentive, welcoming and treated us so kindly. They do offer light apps to pair with your wine. They also serve brunch so make sure you check their website for more details. I will definitely be back to do the wine tasting and brunch. but I highly recommend you check this spot out, you'll love it.

Trina V.

Yelp
Great wines, fun frose's/frozen wines, lots of space to hangout with friends indoors and out, friendly faces and surprisingly good food! Axebridge is such a vibe- dark and moody inside with wine barrels, patio with tables outside- it's the perfect gathering spot. They also have a wine club membership with pretty good perks if you are a frequent goer. I've never had a bad time here. Definitely get the meatballs and shishitos to snack on!

Kelsey D.

Yelp
I went to axebridge when they were hosting the date night podcast! I have been to axebridge besides that and think it is a great venue. They can have good specials depending on the day of the week so check those out! A glass of wine without a discount can be 8-12 dollars. The employees are always super nice and helpful in selecting a wine to choose from. I highly recommend Axebridge for an event, date night, or girls night! The biggest downside is the parking. There's a lot of street parking but you may have to walk a little bit.

Nancy W.

Yelp
I've been here for both wine tastings and dinner when enjoying a concert in downtown Minneapolis. Both have been enjoyable experiences. One of the two wine tastings I've had here, I had the pleasure of having the owner host the experience, which was a lot of fun. He had lots of interesting notes on the wines and I enjoyed hearing his story from inception of the winery to current day. The happy hour specials are tasty, and my favorite food menu item is the Swedish meatballs. The vibe here is welcoming, and I love all the little nooks that offer an intimate way to enjoy a bottle of wine with friends, whether it's fireside or one of the cozy armchairs.

Christina K.

Yelp
This place is adorable! Barrels of wine turned into tables, rustic wood and fireplace. A Porsche parked in the middle. Staff is very friendly. My sister and I ordered wine flights and a charcuterie board. The wines were clearly labeled and explained and so we then decided to get a glass of our favorite/ another wine to try. Ace bridge offers a decent selection and offers a club program to unlock access to exclusive wines and more. If you order food, they hand you a buzzer and you pick it up at a designated area once buzzed. Wines are readily available at the bar. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommend for a date night, happy hour, girls night, or whatever :)

Genesis M.

Yelp
It's a very cute place and great to have friends over or any small gathering. I was able to try their slushy and that was tasty! I was a bit let down by the cheeseboard as I figured wine and cheese are the best pairing so the cheese board would be up to par with the wine and was just not really impressed with it. Over all service was great and they have a deck in the back for more seating so that's always welcomed!

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Such a cutie cozy space!!! Will be back for sure. It's very industrial feeling, like a modern, spacious speakeasy, and as a bonus they have really fun decorations for the holidays. Great for a date, girls night, or hanging out with friends! The wine I tried was not my favorite, but I went out on a limb to try something new and I should have stuck to what I know I like. Putting this on my new list of faves!

Lana T.

Yelp
OVERALL: This is the spot. Date night? Here. Ladies night? Here. Still drinking post-bottomless mimosas? Still here! One of my very very favorite spots in the city and I'm almost reluctant to share because I love my regular spot. SERVICE: Starting with the service. I have been blown away each time I have been here. With really knowledgeable staff and a very present owner willing to tell you their story, I just can't explain how great and happy I feel every time I talk to someone here. WINE: Let's talk about the good stuff. This is where dry wine lovers and sweet wine lovers meet. Regardless of where your palette is, there is an option for everyone. Even with a party that has split tastes, we find ourselves still loving each and every one of the wines (when I say I'm a regular- I mean it. I've tried them all) and luckily they let you do a wine flight so you can too. My absolute favorite, and I will tell any and every one, is the Raspberry Bumbley. It is sweet and refreshing, and light on the bubbles for a sparkling wine. It's the only wine you can't get in a bottle so I make sure to snag a glass (or two!) when I go. ATMOSPHERE: A mix of feeling at home and also in the city, they do a really great job of making it feel welcoming. Sometimes wineries feel like you have to be extremely knowledgeable to even taste wine, but here it makes it feel like you could stay there all day with friends, a book, really whatever you want. There are cozy couches, high tops, long tables, and a patio. Whatever feel you're going for, they have it. PRICES: prices are very reasonable, the flight of 3 is $14 (I believe) and each glass is around $10-$12. I am part of their wine club as well so I get 10% off each time! (It is well worth it) EVENTS: I've been to multiple events here and the space and catering is delicious. Lots of cheese board and charcuterie options, and even a dessert charcuterie platter! They really go out of their way to make the event a success and have a great space for it.

Mitch A.

Yelp
My girlfriend loves this spot, and she's won me over. It's an awesome space with lots of seating and spaces for groups or pairs. There is a patio in the back with games and more picnic table seating. I enjoyed the wines we tried and they have the option to do a flight, which is always fun. The staff was super helpful and knowledgeable as well! Will definitely be back!

Yuri R.

Yelp
I like this place! It has a chill and cozy vibe inside. It's pretty spacious. I went with some friends and got their happy hour wines. I also tried their wine cocktails and it wasn't that bad. The staff were friendly.

Rachael M.

Yelp
I finally made it into the newly opened Axe Bridge located in the North Loop area in Minneapolis, MN! It is neat to be able to walk from brunch, to a brewery, and then a winery! What a great new, spacious, and beautiful location Axe Bridge has created! They currently have tons of indoor seating and limited outdoor seating available for walk ins. Axe Bridge is full production winery that sources grapes from different Minnesota growers and some from the West Coast. You can grab a glass, a flight, or a bottle to share. We tried two different flights. They had ten different wines to choose from. We did a variety of reds, two whites, and a rose in our flights. My personal favorite Cabernet Franc 2018. I do believe I have had the Marquette before at sister winery Schrams. Feeling hungry during your visit? They have small bites that are perfect for wine accompaniments. We grabbed the Cheese Plate which comes with three cheeses, mixed nuts, dried fruits, assorted crackers, and fruit preserves. You can also get a full Charcuterie experience, pretzel bites, croissant sandwich, or a bruschetta flatbed. Axe Bridge currently has seated wine tastings you can reserve online which is a guided tasting , or if you're a big group you can do their Sip, Savor, and Celebrate package which includes a private room, the guided tasting, four bottles of wine, a charcuterie board for the group, and a souvenir wine glass for each participant. They have a great retail area where you can purchase a bottle, glasses, charcuterie boards, and apparel. We definitely are looking forward to returning to this must stop location in the North Loop!

Sarah B.

Yelp
The perfect north loop vibe, ambiance, and addition to the neighborhood. This place will thrive off of the crowd in this area alone. It's beautiful inside!! The staff is super friendly as well. The wine was better then I expected, usually I try MN made wines and I can't even choke them down but the mill city red was easily my favorite of the flight I got. The flatbread was GF as well, it was good - very salty though, not sure what that was about?! Everything is a little overpriced for my liking but for their location and vibe, they're able to do that in NOLO. Happy their open, long awaited. Good little spot to pop in at here and there but won't be a priority for me or a regular!

Angela B.

Yelp
Stopped in for a wine tasting and ended up with brunch too. Jeffrey helped us out with wine explanations..and I liked all five wines we tried, though I think the Mill City Red was my favorite--and it was even better with chocolate! I would recommend a stop for a glass of wine or even some food!

Rebeca C.

Yelp
Such a hidden gem!! I never knew about this place until my friend recommended it to me. The staff is very knowledgeable and they definitely make great recommendations on what to get. The flight of wine is super affordable and everything I had was delicious!

Jackie G.

Yelp
AxeBridge is so cute! Stopped in for a glass of wine after work and was surprised on the size - great amount of seating and they even have a small outdoor space in the back. They had a quite a few different wine options that will please whoever you are with! The staff seemed friendly and helpful. The wine itself was very good - I had the Itasca 2019 and it was perfect for a warm spring day!

Emily H.

Yelp
This winery is a perfect stop for any wine lover or amateur wine fan. The space is huge and super cute! They have a decent happy hour menu which I love to enjoy out on their patio. Probably one of the biggest patios in north loop. I loved it so much I joined their wine club which gets me free tastings and a percentage off their products! Perfect for work HH, girls outing, date night.

Emily M.

Yelp
I've been to Axebridge multiple times, and I love it every time. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable and fun to talk to. I love the different seating areas as well. I came for trivia once and it was so much fun. We've hosted events there in the past, and they're always so accommodating and easy to work with. The wine is amazing, and I've started purchasing bottles when I visit so I can have it more. The appetizers they offer are also great. Axebridge is definitely a hidden gem in Minneapolis!

Cameron B.

Yelp
They just added food, but I haven't had that yet. Their wine is mediocre. The service is prompt and respectful. The inside space is cool, but the patio is by the train tracks and can get really loud.

Kamrin D.

Yelp
This is such a hidden gem in Minneapolis. Beautiful space, good wine, and they even serve food. There are so many comfortable seating options from relaxing chairs, to sofas, or a regular bar table if you want it. It is great for groups or date night. They have a great selection of red and white wines and the flight option is great if you want to try a variety. They also have food available from charcuterie boards to flatbread. Staff were all phenomenal. I will definitely be back and I'm glad I finally tried this place.

Nick C.

Yelp
Meghan was absolutely phenomenal! We love it here and she made it even better! Despite being very busy, she made sure to take time to talk to my wife and I and talk us through the tasting notes and what we might like best. If you swing by, definitely make a point to ask for her!

Alicia L.

Yelp
A full on winery in the middle of North Loop!! That has incredible wine!! I've been here twice now - once with a friend to get flights and charcuterie and the second as a small work event for a guided wine tasting. I didn't have very high expectations my first time after having tried other MN-based wineries that all had way too sugary-sweet wines, but all of them at AxeBridge have been great and perfectly balanced. I was shocked at how spacious the winery is and I love all the different seating options with some corners having almost living room-style seating. The guided wine tasting was such a fun event and the sommelier was incredibly knowledgable. We tried 6 different wines ranging from whites to rosés to reds and it felt like a great deal for $30. The owner also happened to be in that day so he came over and chatted with our group for a while which was very cool! It's clear how much pride they take in their work and it really does come through in the quality of their wine. Very excited to have them in the neighborhood!

Theresa C.

Yelp
This is a delightful little spot in the North Loop. There was a little sign leading to the back entrance, which was such a nice way to discover this gem. There's a dog friendly patio and a lot of gorgeous brick buildings to set the scene. I was surprised to see many different options for snacks and even a dessert tray. We only stopped for wine, but will definitely be back again. I chose the cherry bumbley, which was nice and light. It was refreshing and sweet. Definitely something anyone could enjoy, since I'm not a big wine drinker. My favorite thing about Axebridge is the ambience. The lighting is very cool and there are small areas for groups to sit with a variety of interesting chairs and leather sofas. Huge bonus--excellent air conditioning.

Anika S.

Yelp
If you're looking for a cute place to meet up with your girls, go on a date, or even grab some wine with your parents, this definitely a good spot to go! The wine flight was a fun option to have (3 tastes for $17). Could be considered a little pricey though. I tried a variety of wines and they were all good! I don't think bay of them blew my mind per say but there are definitely some fun flavors on the menu. I do like that they have board games readily available which gives you a variety of options for things to do. There's a great indoor and outdoor patio for you to sit at as well. Worth checking out with your friends and getting some wine and snacks!

Anjeline R.

Yelp
My fiancé and I checked this out on a whim and we weren't disappointed! The server was super nice and super helpful. I believe his name was Cody? Anyway, the wines are pretty delicious. They're not the absolute greatest I've ever had, but they're definitely good to sip on. Their inside seating area is so cute but their outdoor seating is even cuter! We've been there twice now and will definitely go back.

Yelp
A decent wine tasting place in Northloop. I like their selections of wines and rusty ambiance. Although the food can be more delicate, it would be a great place for team building or large group party.

Yelp
Loved this spot, quiet and cute. Great music list and sparkling flight options which were my fav. The pours were pretty light in the flights... that would be my only critique but I loved the rosé and did end up buying a bottle. Would def come back!

Yelp
So glad we stopped by on opening day. Great to see another new staple in the North Loop, especially a neat concept like this. My group was the first-ever seated (new experience for me!) and the place rapidly filled up, even on a rainy spring day. They have a huge space with lounge (couch/chair), bar, and high top seating. Loved that they actually press many of their wines on site. The merchandise was super cute and I look forward to seeing their wine map by the door fill up as they expand their menu and add new wines. They also sell wine growlers and wine bottles to go. Atmosphere was charming and would be a great place for a no pressure date or to bring someone from out of town. I don't pretend to be a wine snob, but I sure felt fancy here. The wine was tasty (really enjoyed the raspberry honey wine). Flights of 3 or full pours were available for about $14 each. Definitely recommend doing the flight first to sample and a second full pour of your top pick. It's set up like a brewery- order at the bar. It did not feel pretentious at all, which I loved. Saw people of all attire and backgrounds. Nice touch seeing the owners coming around checking on us and seeing their excitement. There was some typical first day "kinks": the wooden paddles used to carry the wine flights were very stressful and there were several broken glasses heard over our stay- I'm told they are working on a replacement system. There was also some inconsistency in pours, which at $14 a glass, I hope gets fixed: my friends and I had drastically different drink sizes despite ordering the same wine, and while we did observe the 90 minute COVID time limit, a staff member asked us for our wine menus before we finished our first flight. Overall, this place was very enjoyable and an awesome venue. I look forward to coming back. The wine and food menu is a little small right now, but it sounds like they're going to have lots more soon, and I have no doubt it's gonna be a hot spot for years to come, especially in this neighborhood. Congrats on the grand opening!

Yelp

Yelp
I was here for a wine tasting event and I loved my experience! The staff was really knowledgable about their wines and had a fun way of talking about the process their wine goes through and the background of the place. It's really awesome to experience local Minnesota wine and even to be around all the barrels of wine!

Yelp
Space and atmosphere is great! Wine is not great. Sweet MN wine - would head to any other restaurant or bar to get a better glass.

Yelp
North Loop was MADE for Axebridge. This wine bar serves wine they grow and make themselves in Waconia. The owners are super friendly and helpful--they're always looking for input from customers to improve the experience. Come for pre-dinner drinks, a night out, or Sunday Funday. They serve some small apps like charcuterie boards so you may want to grab a full meal elsewhere. There are TVs to watch big games if that's your style too. This is also an event space that would be great for work events or small parties.

Yelp
Great new place in the North Loop. The wines and good for any pallet and has great food variety. The own is also so nice and walks around to talk to everyone.

Yelp
axebridge wine was an AMAZING time. Johnathon was so knowledgeable and gave us a great tasting experience. wine was delicious, would recommend if you are in the area!! Got the dates & burrata which was delicious as well, great happy hour prices.

Yelp
Cute place, but they screw you with their wine membership. Not worth it, they are no help either with canceling before your 30 days of your card being charged, but then have no problem charging you $25 right away for canceling before your 4th quarter.

Yelp
I would give this new winery a solid 3.5. It's a great space, love the vibe and the various seating options (couches, tables, picnic tables outside). Service was good, nothing amazing but nothing to complain about either. The downside for me is the price. You can do a tasting of 5 wines for 20, which is already high, and the pours were tiny. I also think the glasses of wine (approx. 13/each) and the bottles are expensive compared both with good wine generally and even with other MN wineries (including their sister winery, Schramm). I would think the benefit of a winery is having some more affordable tap options. I could definitely see myself coming back for the vibe, but there are too many better, more affordable options for great wine in and near the Cities to be a regular.

Yelp
a fun new addition to the North Loop! super spacious and cozy inside with lots of seating options. they also have happy hour until 6 right now, which was an added bonus! the only downside was that I tried a flight and a glass of red and didn't really care for any of the four wines I tried, and for $13-$15/glass, I thought it was a bit expensive.

Yelp
All I have to say is - "meh" - have had much better wines at many different wineries. Stars for the service, patio, and near indoor space.
