Axel TWO Barcelona

(Our stay was at the end of Sept) My partner & I had a wonderful stay here. We had a premium room with included breakfast and for 4 nights this was the perfect size. The service was always great from check-in to daily breakfast and then check-out. Location was awesome. Felt really safe for 2 ladies. The metro was just 50m down the road, a really good supermarket with everything you need around the corner. Heaps of restaurants in the area, all within walking distance and the gay district also only a short 10min walk away. The rooftop bar wasn't open as it was off-season but if you want a drink you can get from the ground floor. The pool was good enough for a dip but is a bit worse for wear could do with a reno. Still good to have privacy though. Overall, will absolutely stay again

Located in a very good area of the city, easy access to public transportation, and to airport links. They have a reception attendance for check ins and check outs - very clean and stylish rooms. Gym and pool on the roof. Silent sleeping conditions considering the room that faces the street. Walking distance to a lot of places. Recommended

The hotel is nice and clean but it is missing something that would make me want to return. They say there is a bar but it is not really a bar at all. They only have beer and even that was not available when we went for a quick drink before going out. It feels like a big missed opportunity.||The room was clean and a decent size but it was honestly too hot. We spoke to other guests who said the same thing. Some had gone to reception to ask for the air con to be turned up, which we eventually did on the last day, and that finally made it comfortable.||The pool area was also disappointing. The pool is small and I expected it to be heated but it was freezing cold. The whole area looks a bit tired and the steam room did not work, so it really was not worth booking this hotel if you want a pool. The gym is very small but it is fine for a quick workout if you just want the basics.||One small thing that really put me off was the coffee. They left two little sachets of Nescafé on the first morning and the next day there were none. I went to reception to ask for more and they told me they only give you two for your first morning and do not replace them. I have never experienced that in any other hotel and, although it seems minor, it gives the wrong impression about your experience.||The location is good and it is about a fifteen minute walk from the main gay area. The reception staff were okay but nothing special. Overall it is an average hotel and I would not go back

This was my first time staying at this hotel and I have to say I was welcomed with open arms! Xavier, Ramon and Esteban were amazing and made sure my stay was so pleasant! I am definitely coming here again. Thank you guys! You are such amazing people :-)

Wish there was less than 1 star. Automatic sliding door is manual at the entrance Check in not very smooth. Fill in forms, secure deposit without seeing the room in which condition they will handover. Pay City tax 50 EUR (not mentioned in booking.com) Wifi, perhaps the most slowest connection. I was asked to book a room with balcony for smoking. Turned out room with balcony is non smoking. Rooms claimed to be premium. A 1 star hotel in Dubai holds more premium rooms than this 4 star hotel. Balcony is mere a shelf to stand upon. No chairs at balcony. I don’t understand the objective of this balcony if you “can’t smoke, can’t sit, don’t have a good view” whats the point of having it. No one at the lobby to help you with your baggage “A VERY MUST FACILITY IN ANY 4 stat hotel” Elevator stinks. Room was mentioned to be a 20 square meter. It is smaller than my home’s toilet. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. EXTREMELY OVER PRICED FOR WHAT IT IS ACTUALLY

The rooms are kept immaculately clean; towels are changed daily, and bed linens are refreshed regularly and with care.||||We will be back.

Stayed here for my birthday with my partner and friends. Hotel is modern/decor is nice. Staff are really friendly, especially the lad who checked us in - I didn’t get his name but he had fabulous nails. Rooms are a great size and I’m pretty sure we got upgraded which was a plus! The rooftop pool is fantastic with a great vibe. The hotel is in a very good location with the metro station being about 10 steps away. ||I would stay here again if I was in Barcelona.

The service was outstanding. The entire staff were all so kind and friendly and willing to help us with any needs we had. We did have an issue with the AC in our room not working properly on the first day and they had the maintenance guy Pedro up to our room within 30 minutes to evaluate the issue. It took a day after to fully resolve the issue but in the meantime they provided us a large fan to help us stay cool enough which was perfect! The rooms were perfect and loved the design. The breakfast was to die for! We looked forward to waking up early every day to enjoy the breakfast (at an added charge but so worth it) The pool, gym, sauna and rooftop bar were all so nice. We used the pool several times and was a nice place to unwind after a long hot summer day and mingle with other guests staying in the hotel. Overall we loved this hotel and look forward to our next visit!

I had a bag stolen from the lobby while checking in. They would only look at security camera tape if the police asked them to look at it.
