Axeville Axe Throwing Club - Asheville

We held a private event for 30 business members of Executive Association of Greater Asheville recently. We had a wonderful time here. The planning was very simple with Amy's help. The night of the event, Glenn was there to help with set up, explained everything, and their staff showed us how to throw. We mixed and mingled while we had drinks and catered food from Luella's BBQ. Highly recommend for your next business get together.

I came here to bury the hatchet on my buddy's birthday. They put his face up as the target and that was awesome. They also have liquor and that is awesomer. Liquor and sharp-edged throwing axes. You really can't ask for more than that.

This was a great place to throw and have a few beers. There are almost endless projection games for targeting and the staff was super engaging. Good selection of beers and sodas. I recommend this place especially axe throwing beginners.

Took our staff here for our holiday party and we all had a blast! The digital targets were so fun much fun too! We loved bowling & tick tac toe and throwing Axes at a picture of one of our employees faces for retiring! So much fun, thank you so much Amy and Glen, it was perfect!!!!

So much fun! The crew at Axeville clearly enjoy the gig. We had a group of about 14 people take over four of the lanes.Great instruction guided even the least confident among us to successful throwing. The place is clean and the crew make sure the lanes are set up like new for every new person. Add in good sound, as well as the ability to select your own, some nice merchandising and a fun atmosphere, and you have a fun night out. We’ll definitely do it again and will take visitors there. A total hoot.

Axeville hosted our nonprofit for a Staff Day yesterday. Glen and Amy were gracious hosts and made the day easy and fun. The space was cozy and festive, complete with costumes! Most of us had never thrown an axe before but they taught us everything we needed to know, being patient and thorough. They even organized a small competition for those of us that have a competitive streak. All in all, we had a blast. I will be back for sure!

This place was awesome! I was not expecting the amazing decor. We celebrated a friend's birthday and they even set up decorations. The staff were helpful and fun. As a first timer I was nervous but it was so much fun and will love to do it again.

We’ve been to Axeville a few times. We spent my husbands 44th birthday there this weekend and it was such a great time! Very accommodating and always a great time! Highly recommend

My best friend and I went Sunday and had the best time!!! Online reservations were very easy! Nice and easy location with parking! Wide variety of beers and other beverages! The music could have been better but I guess each to their own! The staff was very friendly and helpful with teaching me how to throw AND making sure that I could throw the axe so I just didn't think I had wasted my money! I will be going here again and again!

Such a 5 star establishment. Ok I hated the loud music but that was part of their ambiance I guess. And I'll take it if I get the amazing customer service that comes along with it! Go here- they're great! Made an appointment online and paid (easy). Had to call to tell them we were running late. They were super flexible and understanding and even thanked me for letting them know. I know they might not be able to always accommodate that so I feel grateful this time they could as it was our fault. Very fair price. It was a little empty for the evening so they even added a bit of extra time on our timer. Customer service continued to get better and better. The place is adorable and well decorated. So many awesome photo ops and props and cozy places to sit. A nice little bar with snacks. Well maintained lanes. Great targets. Awesome cheat sheets for throwing games. Super helpful and approachable staff. Overall stellar energy here. Oh and they use a clove (I think) spray to wet the targets and it smells amazing. Winning.

Had the best time. Everyone that works there had me cracking up. They made the time so much fun. Friendly and safe environment. Good music. They also have giant size jenga and corn hole. You gotta check this spot out. You won't be disappointed.

So much fun. Never been axe throwing before. But damn, was it fun!!! We had a blast. Nobly bookies for one hour, but enjoyed every minute! Totally missed my first throw and totally landed my second. I highly recommend Axeville! The staff we worked with were awesome. They knew we were beginners and didn't care. They worked with us as if we were all friends. Good times.

My husband and I were in Asheville to see a play downtown and were looking for something to do after lunch. Our AirBnB host recommended Axeville. My husband went ahead and made the reservation online and signed our waivers. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable with our experience. Since we were celebrating my husband's birthday, they even decorated our lane and gave my husband a goody bag. We had so much fun!

What can I say about a place...AMAZING OWNERS....AMAZING SPACE....AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! I've throw here since the beginning and love everything about this place and the owners have done a top notch job on space and experience. I've thrown all over the east coast and NO OTHER PLACE compares. Trust me *grin*

Ryan and Skylar were the absolute best. They were incredibly enthusiastic in teaching us. We came in without a reservation for a bachelorette party and they immediately set up decorations for us to celebrate. Thank you both 10/10 yes yes yes!!!

Had the best time! Staff super friendly and helpful with lots of tips and tricks! They were very accommodating considering they had a large party there and wanted to make sure we still had a great time!

This place is AMAZING. We are in town for a girls weekend. This was our first time ace throwing. The instructors were great and very friendly and outgoing.

We had a party come in the other night and top to bottom, front to back this was the best axe throwing experience I've ever had, the instructors were very knowledgable and fun to work with, we had some new people who had never done it, and a few people who do it regularly and we all had a blast!! the selection of ciders and beers was one of the best I've ever seen, the decorations and styling was flawless. 10/10. 100/100 literally however you wanna put it. when you plan to go axe throwing or trying a new place this is exactly the experience you wanna have!

This was so much fun! We grabbed a beer from their great selection before heading to our lane. All of the coaches that we met were very friendly and gave us great advice. It's $21 per person for an hour. Turns out I was more of an axepert than I thought.

Holy cow! This place is WAY more fun than I would have ever thought it would be!! For $20 a person, we got to throw dangerous objects at wood for an hour, while drinking, and listen to music. Which is totally everything your mother told you NOT to do as a kid. First off, the staff at this place is top notch, super friendly, excited and happy to be there and make you feel like you are going to have fun the minute you arrive. The coaches help you get started, tell you the best ways to go about hurling these hatchets across the air n nailing the boards. Joe, our coach was AWESOME! I was excited but skeptical about going, but soooo glad I went. One of the most fun places in AVL to go and let aggression out, or just have a friendly competition of axe throwing. It was great!

Went here with some friends on a visit to town and it did not disappoint! They helped with our morale when we just couldn't get the axe to stick but after 15 minutes or so we were laughing and have a great time! The pricing is great and the axes are sharp:)

I can't say enough good things about our experience. My sister booked us for my bachelorette party and they blew our expectations out of the water. I know businesses usually flinch when you even say the words "bachelorette party" but Axeville not only helped us figure out how many lanes for our group but also DECORATED OUR AREA for us!!! We walked in to a ton of decor and the staff congratulating me. Axe throwing is a blast in itself but the staff here made it so much more. They didn't make us feel like a burden, but on the contrary checked on us often and celebrated with us throughout! I couldn't recommend them more, any time we're back in this area, we'll come back here!! Thanks again, guys!

Great place for parties. The staff are awesome, the beer is cold and the boards are breakable if you throw hard enough!! Good times with friends

Celebrated my birthday here this past weekend and had an amazing time! The staff decorated our station, gave me a gift, & crown! This was my 1st time axe throwing and the staff was GREAT! They were very knowledgeable, friendly, and made our visit so fun! Highly recommend and I hope to be back soon!

First time thrower, did great, and had a blast. Had a sisters gathering and came here for some fun. I never threw before, but after the instructions, ended up learning I was a natural! Great music, great vibes, and great beer! Totally recommend!

We went to their location in Biltmore Village over the New Year holiday. We booked an hour thinking it would be more than enough for the 3 of us. Our instructor was very good and was giving us constructive tips along the way. The hour actually went by very fast. We all wished we could stay longer. I would recommend it for something different and fun. Being situated in a brewery was a plus too.

We had a great time spending our afternoon at the Asheville Axeville throwing club. Our guide, Juliana, was great and made our experience even better. 2 hours flew by and we can't wait to come back again. The staff was awesome and a great place to hang out in Asheville. Thank you Juliana!

Axe throwing has made it to Asheville and this place has aced it with their spot right outside downtown. Make a reservation or show up and try for a spot (they can get busy!!). If it's your first time then fill our your waiver, get your ID checked and get wristbanded up and then prepare for axe throwing! They have an instructor on each lane group that will guide you through the instructions. Pay attention because they know what they are talking about. We had such a nice lady and she could throw the axe perfectly every time! There are different games you can play or just keep throwing for fun! Plenty of drinks to choose from and prices are great. They usually have a food truck too if you get the munchies. Tons of fun for groups! Check them out and throw some axes (safely)!

This place is so much fun! We made a reservation for a 1 hour time slot, 8:30, and checked in. The process is super easy: there's a computer set up at station 1 for legal stuff, station 2 you get your wristband and beverage (if you want one) and station 3 you get your coach (if you're a newbie like we were) and axe. We were taken to our "lane" and given detailed instructions on how to properly throw the axe, and then we were going. Our coach stayed around to make sure we were good for a bit, then wandered off. It was just the right amount of help without being overbearing. We were giggling the entire time! The folks next to us were pretty serious throwers and we gained a lot of knowledge (and support) from them. If you're looking for a new fun thing to do, I highly recommend going here! This was easily one of the more fun things we've done in awhile!

This is the most fun, safe, enjoyable, strangely instinctive. Beer, wine, and axe in hand. They have trainings. They are extremely friendly. Open atmosphere. Great music for the Asheville scene. Probably the most rewarding feeling throwing axes. Think darts but axes.

We stumbled upon this gem and it was a true delight! The owners, Glenn, Ryan, and Amy are truly incredible humans who make you feel like family the second you walk through the door. The ambience is beautiful, just the perfect combination of rustic and chic with a touch of clear artist flair in all the details. It makes you feel like it's gonna be a fun night when you just walk in the door! Is it a bar? Is it a lounge? Is it an axe throwing joint? It's all of it rolled into one and that is part of the magic! The continuity of design was incredibly impressive The staff are super attentive and give you a thorough introduction to this fascinating sport of axe throwing and stay with you the entire time coaching you, giving you personal tips, and introducing you to different axe throwing games. (Did you know there are competitive games in axe throwing? Oh yes, indeed there are!) They've got a great selection of beer, wine, kombucha, and other beverages that are the perfect addition to the night. (Picture yourself with an axe in one hand and an ice cold beer in the other and you already know this is the place dreams Re made of!) The price is great, the staff are amazing, the environment is extremely well maintained and the activity is epic! Perfect for a chill night with friends or a team bonding activity or a bachelorette party! We will be back! And we highly recommend this to anyone in the area be it locals or out of town guests. Came here with a few friends for a fun afternoon. The service surpassed our expectations and the environment was extremely laid back. Ryan was great and answered any questions we had. Would highly recommend anyone looking to try axe throwing come here.

We went here while visiting Asheville for my birthday getaway. Had a great time! The staff was great! They showed us the right techniques and gave us great tips on being successful at throwing the axe. Also had a good selection of beer. Would definitely recommend doing axe throwing here. Again the staff was great.

Axecellent!!! Fantastic fun inviting atmosphere with touch of adventure. Who thought throwing axes would take such skill and finesse. We Celebrated my hubby's 50th and staff was very helpful and encouraging. They even decorated his throwing lanes and gave him a birthday gift. We will be back since he's a natural. A must go!

First time throwing and had a blast. Logan was a great instructor and gave us great tips and tricks. Definitely fell in love with ace throwing me the only downside was it was 48$ for 1 hour for 2 people and I got 1 beer. Other than that it was fun. Might not consider as a pass time like bowling.

decided to come here on my bday vacation for a first time axe throwing night and this place was soooo fun, great way to get out your energy and try something new and surprisingly pretty challenging. the staff went above and beyond to make sure my bday was celebrated and were very attentive if you needed help with technique. nick (manager?) was a lovely dude!!!!!

I scheduled an hour at Axeville for my friend's bachelor party, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire weekend. From making the reservation to getting set up once we'd arrived, Axeville made it easy. The staff and trainer were great, the craft beer selection was decent, and the throwing itself was a blast. Even the prices were reasonable. Beers and axes and all, and I doubt anyone spent over thirty bucks.

10/10 would recommend!! The guys that work here are fantastic and so personable! There's also a great selection of wonderful craft beer. Amazing first axe throwing experience!!

The atmosphere here was great! Beer was good(even had a delicious coffee beer) , people were super kind and helpful, the axe throwing was so much fun!! Would highly recommend for a group or even a date night!

Amazing experience. Came here for my Husband's birthday. It was our first time axe throwing. They really took the time to coach us and everyone wished my hubby a happy birthday and had him a goody bag and put up a birthday sign. It really made the experience more special than i could have ever imagined. Definitely will be coming back.

Reserved some lanes for Sr. Leadership for my company. We had an absolute awesome time! The customer service was GREAT! Throwing Axes was a blast. The over all atmosphere of the place was just what we needed after an 11 hour day. If you've not been you should try it. Great experience!

Went on the second night they were open. My wife and I took our son who was home from school for the weekend. What a fun time we had. Look forward to returning another day. A little pricy, maybe have some special nights or Groupon.
