Asian Fried Chicken: A Look at the Different Styles From Taiwan to Thailand | Eater

"A rustic roadside spot in Bogor where the house specialty is chopped ayam kampung kremes fried in large cauldron-like woks; the village chicken is intensely flavorful, crisp and juicy, topped with shards of fried flour granules that add a golden-brown crunch, and infused with fragrant galangal, candlenut, turmeric, and shallot — an evocative, humid setting with rickety plastic stools and the sensory charm of a lived-in, local eatery." - Matthew Kang

By far the best fried chicken I have ever tasted!! Very strong and umami flavour with good price. However, my input would be that the place could be cleaner and expanded as it’s a bit overwhelming when crowded to navigate the seating area. Also good services! Regardless, definitely one of the place that I would visit again when am back in Bogor 🫶

The place is very simple, but very lively The food is delicious and cheap Always crowded And must try the juice. Very tasty and the iced orange is also very fresh, I recommend the strawberry juice.

Looking for Warung Doyong 1? Don't confuse it with any other numbers – the real deal is Warung Doyong 1. Although it may appear medium-sized, the place feels cramped due to the bustling crowd. Arriving promptly at 10 a.m., there was already a line of 5-10 people waiting to get in. Seating involves a bit of strategy – you hover near a table that's nearly finished. While it might seem impolite, it's the norm here. But the reward? Indulging in their renowned Indonesian yellow spiced fried chicken. We grabbed our food straight from the center table, filled with fried chicken, tofu, tempeh, and various Indonesian Sundanese delicacies. Then, we rushed to secure a table before someone else snagged it. As for the taste? Simply divine. Jakarta hasn't seen fried chicken this delectable. The chicken is juicy, flavorful, with perfectly crispy skin. Paired with their fiery chili sambal and coconut fried crumbs, it's a solid 10/10. Note: there is a juice booth in the corner of the restaurant. Here you can extinguish the hot chilli sambal with their super refreshing Mango Juice, Orange Juice, Strawberry Juice, Dragonfruit Juice and many other seasonal fruits.

Ayam Goreng Warung Doyong: A Must-Visit for Fried Chicken Lovers in Bogor! This restaurant offers a cozy, simple ambiance. The main attraction is their delicious fried chicken, available in various styles like regular, crispy, with sambal, and with pete, alongside affordable side dishes like nasi uduk and sayur asem. The chicken is tender, flavorful, and crispy, and service is friendly and efficient. While it can get crowded during peak hours, Warung Doyong is a great spot for a satisfying meal at an affordable price.

Very crowded restaurant. You have to be agile to get seats. It is not a first come first serve but the fastest get the table. Parking, should be plenty on the street sides. Now my scoring: 1. Fried Chicken Serundeng (grated fried coconut), 7/10. I tasted much better fried chicken. The meat is standard. However the serundeng is quite ok; 2. Fried Tofu filled with vegetable, 8.5/10. This is better than the chicken; 3. Sayur Asem (Indonesian style sour soup), 7/10. The filling is adequate. There are many better Sayur Asem in the other places; This type of restaurant won't pass any hygiene standard. The washer is dipping dirty plates together in a bucket, then she wipes them all with sponge, then she stacks all soapy plates in another bucket. Running water comes only at the end. The restaurant has an open style kitchen and you could seat within 2 meters of it.

One of the wishes if you go to Bogor, is to be able to eat here because you see reviews that always pass by, come here around 08.20, the place is clean, comfortable, the concept of eating a buffet so if you are hungry you can overeat, the stall is not far from the highway, there is no car parking lot (at most you can make 4-5 motorbikes and even smaller motorbikes), fried chicken which is iconic is not my taste but the chicken is tender and juicy, only the seasoning for the chicken is tasteless, which is quite good chili sauce. But those who come to eat and take home do not stop, back again to each taste, so maybe the taste of chicken that is not so strong, juicy, and tender can be your favorite.

Arrived here around lunchtime, so crowded even it was difficult to seating and I had to sit with another person at one table. It's crowded and yeah it's stiflingly hot but the food is ready to pick to eat (if you don't want to choose the raw ones to be fried first). It says the speciality here is fried chicken but for me the chicken is so-so also I tried the fried lungs, kinda same. But I like the chilli sauce it's spicy (rarely found the spiciness like that). I think no need to order drinks cause there's tea available on the table. Oh don't forget to try the Sayur Asam, I like it the tamarind is strong (that's the proper Sayur Asam). They need to take notes when ordering the dish, so it'll be easier for the payment. No need to tell what you eat in front of the cashier, kinda chaos lately at lunchtime 😟
