Azalea Inn & Time Out Sports Bar

My friend tells me this is the best pizza in all of Tidewater! So I finally got to try it and can honestly say they do make a good pizza pie. This isn't a secret. In the time we were enjoying our lunch 6 other parties came in and had pizzas brought to their tables as well. The outdoor seating area was inviting (but it was a bit breezy so we ate inside). The interior decor is traditional bar material with lots of wood grain and mirrors. There was plenty of seating and the appetizers were big enough for 4 people to share.

My brother is a coach asked his wife where we could take him. She told me how much he loved azalea inn. We went there and we enjoyed the food the service and the atmosphere. It was my first time there. The pizza was hot fresh and delicious.

Let me tell ya! We have never left without being full from eating dinner here! Also, Everytime we come in. It doesn't matter what we order we end up loving it. We have three youngins and they always eat everything that is prepared for them at this restaurant! We love the atmosphere, staff and every meal!

Their Greek Gyro is amazing. The owners son and nephew introduced themselves and we had a great conversation. The pizza is epic and always a crowd pleaser. This sports bar/restaurant is connected, but seperated by a proper wall. It is a local treasure. All the locals know and love it. ❤️

The food here is normally very good, this time there were some issues. One of our pizzas got sent to the wrong table. When it finally arrived it was over-baked and tough. The pizzas that came out on time were not exactly as we ordered. Our server made up for the irregularities with discounts and a free pizza to take home, which was made and cooked perfectly. This restaurant is pretty noisy inside, lot of loud conversations. Good place to meet with friends, not so good for a cozy date.

I have been craving a pastrami sandwich and finally a restaurant that has it on their menu. It was everything I had hoped for and more. The service was also the best I have received in a long time. Kudos to this restaurant for hiring and training their servers to be friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back. The tiramasu was yummy and so was the baklava. Although the baklava was heated a touch too long which made it chewy. Still tasty though.

The server acted like she did not even want to be there. She only checked on us once. I ordered the zucchini fraud appetizer and it tasted nasty freezer burnt. I also ordered the greek salad.It would have been nice if they told me that the olives still had the pit in them because I thought I broke my tooth. My son ordered the shish kebab, but it was just meat and vegetables piled up on a plate. He did say it tasted good. The pizza is amazing.

I’ve been loving this place for a long time. They are great for large parties, have a huge menu that everyone will find something to enjoy, the arcade in the back is fun, it’s just really great. My kid was raised coming here all his life. We love it.
