The Sahara renovates its pool to reveal Moroccan-inspired Azilo Ultra Pool this summer | Eater Vegas

"A recently renovated 35,000-square-foot pool complex has been redesigned with sexy Moroccan décor to create a desert-sanctuary vibe for summer parties. Amenities include VIP cabanas equipped with HDTVs, private pools, spas and restrooms, plus daybeds, lily pads, three bars and extensive lounge seating. The venue welcomes both resort guests and outside visitors daily and hosts events on Friday and Saturday nights. A two-story, 10,000-square-foot LED wall wraps the south end of the complex and can broadcast concerts and live sports or split into multiple feeds, making it one of the largest private-screen installations on the Las Vegas Strip." - Susan Stapleton

Google
A nice outdoor pool! If you get there around 10-11:30 there seemed to be plenty of free chairs with an umbrella. At 12pm (on Friday) the live dj started who was pretty good and got busier. I opted to get a day vet which was 100 minimum spend (plus tax and gratuity). And I thought it worth it. It was nice to be in the pool and close to jump in. The service was fantastic. Because of the record heat I wills probably just do this one day of my trip but for sure worth it. The food was decent, nothing to rave or complain about.

Google
For the price it was amazing. Is it the fanciest or the biggest party? Of course not. Is it a ton of fun and a great value at a very nice pool. 100%. The drinks are Vegas pricing of course, but comparatively reasonable when looking at other pseudo day clubs like the Go Pool. The dole whip was a great addition to the menu. The food was better than expected and while the day beds were slightly worn they did the job. Will definitely book again next time we are in town.

Google
I’ve been in the service industry for a while and nobody came to ask us for drinks or take our order. Which fine . I can do it myself. But to add gratuity when I have to scan a damn QR CODE , put in my order and pick it up at the bar myself is ridiculous. Everyone here had a scowl and just looks like they hate life. The pool is so nice and has so much potential. Just needs better service.

Google
Overall: 4.1/5 We were staying at Sahara. When we checked in, they gave us a few coupons to their restaurants with our key card. One was a BOGO 12 oz drink for AZILO between 10 AM - 6 PM. To get to the AZILO bar at the pool, you have to go through security who checks your ID & bag. They also don't allow outside food or drinks inside. When we got through security, the bar was on the right and can't be missed. When we looked at the menu, we were surprised at how expensive the drinks were. It was $21 for a 12 oz frozen drink! It wasn't until after we paid that we saw the words at the bottom: "tax, gratuity, venue fees all included in the price". Shouldn't the venue fee be included in our resort fee already? 😑 Pina Colada With Malibu Coconut Rum: This was good but too light and had too much ice. You don't taste the alcohol for this one. Dole Whips: So you get a choice between pineapple & watermelon dole whip and between Casamigos Reposado Tequila & Malibu Coconut Rum. We got pineapple dole whip and Casamigos Reposado Tequila. They didn't mix it so the drink looks pretty but we didn't know that so when we took a big sip, it was straight up tequila and very strong. This combo surprisingly worked well together. You can take a sip of tequila then take a bit of the dole whip to balance it out or just mix them together. I enjoyed both ways but preferred the mixed way since the tequila was too strong for me. After we got our drinks, we walked our to find a place to sit. They have nice seating areas which is really set up for a pool party with the 2 tier level separation. At the end of the pool area is a nice photo op set up with a golden arch and Azilo across it. Cool place to chill & watch the game (or people).

Google
Dissapointed at the food service. Ordered ahead for pick up when they opened at 11am, received a text at 11:04 that ordered will be ready in 10-15 minutes, came to the counter and says order is not ready, waited extra 20 minutes because they said they'll take it to our sunbed, get back to the counter and the food was sitting there. The sushi salmon I ordered tasted like grocery store sushi. Actually, grocery store bought is even better, at least it doesn't fall apart and the rice is not undercooked. Definitely one of the worst sushi I've ever eaten in my life, I couldn't finish it. I was totally surprised when they don't give you chopstick, the sushi keeps falling apart when I pick it up with fork. The poke nachos is decent, so that's why I'm giving 3 stars because the poke nachos was good. One star + for that. One star + for the nice bartender. One star+ for the pool is pretty and there are games projected on the big screen. Good vibe music is playing.

Google
The best, seen food advertised at THE POOL but not where. Looking for a grill or food being delivered by staff, but nothing. As we went back inside to find a pa e to eat, which is very hard mid day in the CASINO, I noticed on a banner a bar code, I abandoned it and it was VERY easy to navigate and order. Staff at bar were great and good was good.

This pool is super grown and sexy. Magnificently amazing Tv screen, the size of a building. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Loved it. Definitely recommend it.

Google
We were staying at the Sahara and checked out the main pool, and had questions about Azilo… The main pool was good, but it was a Wednesday and we decided to get a cabana and relax/work from the pool :) The whole experience was amazing! We had a wonderful time relaxing and soaking in the Vegas sunshine. Azilo has a good sized pool, 2 jacuzzis, and great staff! Jordan and Logan made our first Ultra Pool experience memorable with their friendliness and attention to detail. They truly made us feel cared for. Food and drinks were great, and my girlfriend Evelyn and I truly enjoyed a wonderful day by the pool :)

Yelp
AZILO at The Sahara is one of the newest and best Vegas pools for lounging, game watching, and celebrating! Great party vibe without the huge party crowd. The daybeds were amazing and shaded, but you still had view of the giant LED screens. Azilo also had first come/first serve lounge chairs and umbrellas for shade that didn't completely block the views. Really nice option. The food was yummy, the service was great & the DJ- Supa James was fire. It's 21+, so bring out the speedos and the thongs. The Azilo VIP Host, Brian Pfeiffer, (773-459-8133) was really helpful in setting up my Girl Bash! Made for an excellent poolside experience. Next time- it's AZILO LAS VEGAS for sure!!!

Yelp
Came here for Day 1 of our Vegas trip and it was pretty cool. It wasn't too hot considering it was outside but it was a nice warm temperature. The bartender was really good at mixing drinks as it didn't taste too strong or too sweet. Interesting characters at the bar but the dance floor was really fun. They even came out with people wearing Bad Bunny and Peso Pluma costumes which made me giggle. We stayed there practically until they closed because we had so much fun.

Yelp
Came here this past weekend for my sister in law's birthday after a friend of hers got her a cabana at AZILO. I didn't even realize this pool was 21 and up at Sahara. The best part about this pool... locals get in for free! WOO! Love that! This pool is conveniently located pretty close to self parking at Sahara, which makes it really easy to get in and out if you're a local. We arrived around 11:30am and had our IDs checked at the door. They stamped us and walked us in to our cabana. We had an incredible view and almost felt like an entire pool to ourselves. It took me a while to realize they even have giant screens on the other end of the pool area where you can watch games and whatnot. I think they are trying to appeal to the Stadium Swim crowd over at Circa, which makes sense. The pool and bar area are super nice! They had music playing, but it wasn't as obnoxious as a day-club. I'm a big fan of 21 and over pools that don't have that "day club" vibe but still are fun and enjoyable. The staff here is also super incredible. The staff taking care of us at the cabana continuously checked in on us. It was awesome. We ordered chicken fingers and a salad and whatnot to munch on and the food was pretty darn good. I also ended up going down to the lower bar area to get myself a big pina colada which they serve to you in a giant reusable cup. The cabana itself was nice and cool and had it's own TV which was pretty awesome. They also had a freezer and a fridge but I don't think ours were working, but it was honestly okay because we had staff continue to bring us ice so our drinks and bottles would stay cold. Of course, I do have to mention, it is Vegas pricing, so if you're a local, be prepared to pay "Strip" prices. But honestly, it was really enjoyable and I would totally come back to this pool!

Yelp
Great place to spend a whole day @ the pool in Vegas ... I really enjoyed the music , food and beverage options, not to mention the vibe ... 21 and older so that helps to really enjoy an adult entertainment, will come back in the future Food prices are reasonable, Alcohol a little pricey

Yelp
Spent most of the day Sunday at the pool. Easy entry and a chill atmosphere! 21+ only to get in and free entry. Tried some chicken tenders and margaritas and both were great! Big screens above the pool had all the football games on and plenty of shade to get out of the sun when needed. Great experience!

Yelp
The service was trash honestly. The Ambiance was really nice. The music wasn't the best, they played mainly pop that's on the radio. The security was on a high horse. He came over to our section and told us we couldn't have a tripod, so we packed it up and put it away, no issues or attitudes involved. We paid for a cabana and he had this stuck up attitude and tried to say we got in for free and we didn't even pay to be there etc. which came out of nowhere. I will not come back here or recommend this place. The food was really good! The poke nachos and the bbq chicken flatbread was really good. The frozen drinks and pitchers of drinks were way too sweet.

Richard W.

Yelp
First refused to show the NY Football Giants and was overcharged for a bucket of beer. Found out a bucket is $48 was charged $60. Uugh nt happy

Yelp
For some unknown reason this year it's no longer a 21 and up pool. Was just there and not it's packed with children. Don't even try and get a chair because now they're occupied by children. Sorry azillo and Sahara you feel for the Chuckie cheese adventure. I'm out

Yelp
What's the DEAL with Vegas Pools?! I'll tell you more about it... Vegas outside/outdoor pool are ONLY open until 6 pm in the evening. All outdoor pools are are OPEN in the Spring & Summer but closed October thru March. BEST Pools are: Azilo Pool -- Excellent pool with a great bar and DJ. It was a fun and chilled pool daytime party event. I loved it, it was the best pool time I had in Vegas. Ayu Pool -- Bali Oasis theme for this beautiful pool with DJs rocking on the turn tables. They have two massive bars and bottle serve if you reserve a poolside "table." I will caution you, ordering food is extremely pricey so bring your highest limit credit card. And the day we visited, the DJs were whack. Best Beach Clubs: *Daylight Beach Club or the *Mandalay Bay Beach Club. Both hold concerts and events, offer wave pools and rivers. And they are wildly popular to the hot masses, looking to cool off from the desert sun. Most hotels have their pools and I know MGM will let their guest visit any of their other hotel location pools. I could easily plan a week if not a month visiting all the wonderful Vegas Pools. I did go on the Vegas Rockstar Party Bus -- it was a basic tour that only took us to 2 pools and was a little over hyped. I'd say, pass on that tour BUT do make it a point to visit Vegas' awesomely beautiful and fabulously fun pools.

Yelp
Free entry and 21and over only. There's a hot tub, a few pools (two for cabana reservations) and one for everyone else. They offer a bar and snacks. Snacks range between $21-30 a entree. Drinks are either 12oz, 48 oz (which comes with souvenir plastic tumbler) or a pitcher. Large tv screens allow for you to watch whatever they're playing and they play music in the background. Plenty of areas around the pool to take pics and pose for the camera.

Yelp
Hey, just want to give a shout out to my VIP host. His name is Brian Pfeiffer cell phone number 773-459-8133. Yelp
Loved spending time at Azilo Ultra Pool/ Lounge in September 2022 for Club Quarantine with D Nice...not sure what took me so long to post these. But my sister and I are planning a trip July 2024... this time we will stay at Sahara. We were looking over old pics & I remembered the great time we all had that night !!

Yelp
The Sahara really outdid themselves when they remodeled their pool- Azilo is absolutely gorgeous! The pool itself isn't huge, but the surrounding area is outstanding. Like Circa, they have huge tv screens showing sporting events, but manage to keep a posh, day club feel. There are still loungers available (im assuming for free on a limited basis), but several different daybeds and cabanas available for rent as well. We went on a Monday, so it wasn't crowded at all- no line and no cover. Our server was sweet and pleasant, and towels were easily available. Im interested in returning on a weekend to see what the vibe is like, but so far, Azilo is a winner!

Yelp
Review for Saturday, March 19th 2022 (March Madness) This is definitely one of those spots I really don't want to review because I want to keep it as a hidden gem for myself, but that would do a disservice to the hard working staff and amazing facilities everyone should enjoy. I've enjoyed cabanas at dayclubs since the old Rehab days (dating myself here) and this has got to be one of the best experiences I have ever had since then. Cabana: The cabana was a very good size with an L shaped couch and two lounge chairs out front. We were lucky to be the first ones of the day and got to choose the perfect cabana with some extra lounge chairs right in front next to the hot tub. And yes, you hear me right, hot tub. My favorite part of the cabana location is that not only do you get a small pool area just for cabana use, but also two hot tubs! So it is PERFECT for months like March when weather can be amazing or just so-so. ALSO, there are two private bathrooms just for cabana use. Seriously, how amazing is that! Food and Drinks: We didn't order too much food since our F&B min went mostly to alcohol, but the burritos in the morning were delicious and the slider and fries party tray was awesome and easily fed our 10 person cabana. They also had options for our vegetarian in the group. Nachos were standard though. Now on to the drinks, the bottle prices were pretty good for a dayclub about $275-$500 depending on the bottle. Buckets of beer were $55 for 6, but I wish I had asked how much a case was since I didn't see it on the menu. Also I wish I took pictures of the menu because they had some GREAT mixed drinks with pitcher prices of $59, which was definitely great. The ++: What really stands out to me regarding this dayclub besides the facilities were the packages and service. They had a whole set of packages you could order for you table that included specials on bottles, beer, but one thing we ordered was BEER PONG! Now we are well past our beer pong days, but it was so much fun throwing it back to college days and roping in our servers and bussers for some celebrity shots. Last but not least, the service. Special, huge, amazing shout outs to Yoush, Kylie, Jordan and Logan for being one of the BEST teams I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I'm kicking myself because in my inebriated state I assumed the included gratuity was 18% and it was 15% only, so I wish I had tipped more because they definitely deserved it. We rarely had to wait for orders and they were constantly cleaning the area, providing new glasses and mixers and just overall one of the sweetest most genuine team I have had at a cabana. Sometimes I feel like such a noob asking for refills or other items for the cabana, but they were so nice and thoughtful I really hope management reads this and retains them for the immediate future because I hope to books all my events here!

Yelp
Decided to book a day bed with my wife this past Monday, coming from out of state. Location is good and free parking is always a plus! Azilo was nice! Good vibes and not too over crowded. Shout out to Brian Pfeiffer! He was easy to book with and checked in on us (773-459-8133). Drinks were good/fairly priced, food was good too. Pool side service for the day beds could have been a little better as after 20-30 mins the server was no where to be found and I had to go looking for staff to order more drinks and food. Otherwise the ambiance and vibes were fire and I would come back!

Yelp
In general the reinvented Sahara has leveled up and can now compete with other hotels within its class  (e.g. Downtown Grand, The Orleans etc., Suncoast etc.). However, Azilo Pool is a game changer of sports, swim, sexiness, and sun. Sorry Circo, Sahara is true competition. From online booking, to responsive phones calls, and connecting with the customer. Impressive and appreciated. I reserved the Daybed Spa. If you are a sports aficionado and plan to watch "the sporting event", then this daybed rental may not be the spizzo for you. Yet, it is located in one of the most shady areas with only three other daybeds and 5 steps from the restroom, 10 steps to the bar, no steps to the stage, 2 steps to the jacuzzi. The daybed can comfortably accommodate four if you relax horizontally. I pretty much relaxed, pampered up and ate at the daybed. I reserved a random chair by the bar with my sarong and I had a fun-filled, bronze tanning day with good azz drank's!  The highlight for me was there are curtains you can untie around the daybed for privacy. Because the area is in the furthest corner, your belongings are safe. Don't get pollyannish though. In comparison to the Circo, the Sahara offers fair prices for high value, authentic pool lounge experience with cabanas, pool beds, daybeds, chaise seating, bar seating, and other amenities at high value. To put the cherry on top, there are also HUGE mega screens (similar to Circo) to stay in-the-know of sports. Winning. Cabana servers were lively, attentive, and customer focused. I had a burger and fries and it was good. But the coconut margarita was a beast. I rolled solo and because I don't want to get anywhere early to compete for seating., I reserve Cabanas or daybeds because I want to be comfortable. The price point is insignificant considering I would likely spend the same amount anyway reserving a lounge chair, eating and dranking. Azilo lounge is highly recommended to experience.  Proper tipping is good karma.

Yelp
Great drinks, great staff and amazing music. I loved the latin night. The only thing I would suggest is to arrive after 11pm. Nothing happens before then.
google avatar

William S.

Yelp
Posted pics of their menu and some of the prices they charge. Service wasn't great despite the fact that my friends and I had a cabana and it wasn't a very busy day. On the plus side, we didn't have to pay cover to get in and Sahara doesn't charge for parking.

Yelp
You cannot leave vegas without going to a pool prtt at azilo. The DJ was on point, service was great, the vibe, everything!

Yelp
Highly recommend Azilo Ultra pool. We reserved a bungalow for 15 people for a bachelorette party. Great service, food, drinks and music. For reservation you can contact Brian Pfeiffer VIP host for Azilo at 773-459-8133.

Yelp
If you are looking for a much more relaxed pool to enjoy in Vegas, Azilo is the place for you. Not only did we have a great time at Azilo Ultra Pool, but the experience was amazing! We had the pleasure of working with Brian Pfeiffer, VIP host for Azilo! He did a great job of setting us up for a great time while in Vegas. It is a much more adult atmosphere since the pool is much more relaxed and I would recommend getting a cabana! You get a private pool and 2 jacuzzis to share with the cabanas that overlook the main pool. The service was great and everything was phenomenal. Give Brian a call at 773-459-8133 and have him set you up for a good time!!

Myisha C.

Yelp
Met up with a few friends here during the evening on what was supposed to be a two-for-one special. After ordering the first round, I was really surprised when the bill came. I'm not being cheap, but I was SHOCKED at how this place had the nerve to add on additional fees. There was a Venue Fee and a mandatory 18% Gratuity Fee added. Tipping should ALWAYS be left up the customer!!! It is up to me and the people in my party to decide how much we want to tip based on the service that we received. After ordering one round, I was D-O-N-E!!!! I do NOT like being nickeled and dimed. A Venue Fee??????!!!!!!
google avatar

Katherine B.

Yelp
My bf and I spent almost the whole day here! We really wanted to get one of the daybeds that were in the water. West helped us out by explaining to us that to rent one for the day we need to spend a minimum of $100. We decided to do it and it was the best decision we made. Our waitress, Kylie was amazing and extremely attentive. We ordered the crunchy roll, and the chicken tenders. To drink we ordered the strawberry daiquiri and one of the specialty lemonades, multiply times. Absolutely delicious! I know it's not one of the more recommended places in Vegas but I'd definitely come back!
google avatar

Chris F.

Yelp
I would give this no stars if possible. There's was not much of a crowd earlier yesterday at the bar and the bartender never acknowledged me after 10-15 minutes when I had big bills "in hand". A simple "sir I apologize give me a few minutes" would suffice. Zero customer service skills. It should also be a common practice to at least have two bartenders at one time to provide faster service. Thank you. Also keep your valuables close. Someone took our room key out of the cabana.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Had a wonderful time at Azilo. Brian Pfeiffer VIP Host for Azilo (773-459-8133) helped my wife and I book a cabana with a great location. The cabanas have a private upper deck pool, hot tub, loungers, couch, tv, fan and safe. Everything from the service, food, drinks, music was outstanding. Will be back!

Yelp
Had a great time!! Snack prices are super affordable. The drinks are expensive but it's the strip so what can you expect.

Yelp
Open at 11am on a Thursday, I got in at 12pm no cover, no wait, no Discotech guest list required, vwry slow, older crowd, good music playing but I did not see a DJ, sports on big screens similar to Circa Stadium Swim, looked like some lou ge chairs were free, $21 for a 12oz and $38 for a 32oz drink like a mai tai, burgers, chicken tenders, and some healthier food options for the tables, bar had slushie alcoholic drinks too. J

Yelp
Had a great time at the bungalows this past weekend Brian hooked it up and got the whole crew in. Private pool area and bathroom was nice not too mention the beer pong table. If you need the hookup contact Brian Pfeiffer 773-459-8133!

Yelp
I'm worried this will get too popular eventually because it was such a great event. Nice and loud for halftime show and could hear game great, picture was excellent. Awesome staff. Food was a little ehhh tho. Only prob I really had was didn't know I was getting hit with automatic 15% tip charge for GA and I was tipping big on top of that all night. Noticed totals seemed a little high and had trouble getting itemized receipt. Finally got one at end of night and understood what that extra fee was. Owner was really kewl tho and bought me a drink. He had a unique name like Enes or something. Really nice guy to talk to at end. Pool temp good but by sun-down cold and hot tub was same temp as pool. Tried to warm up in there but to no avail. Be nice if tub was hot. At least pool was really warm. No offense but think name of club Azilo or Alizo? could be more attractive. Kept spelling it wrong to people in texts and then couldn't find on Yelp. Small thing but just throwin out feedback. Sahara is classic name I love. Lastly, female Jordan with staff was super nice and welcoming. And bartender guy with slicked back hair and shaved sides was outstanding too!

Yelp
Amazing pool! Ty was our bartender and he was fantastic. I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade pitchers. 21 plus so you didn't have to worry about a bunch of children running around.

Yesenia C.

Yelp
Excellent place to have fun and also the pinas coladas are bomb we no always prefer Azilo

Alvin J.

Yelp
I always stay at the SLS (Sahara) when I'm in town. I always make a trip down to the pool too. Last time the kitchen was closed and it was a slow weekday so they allowed outside food. They didn't specify that it had to be from the hotel only so it was a fight to allow my Uber eats order. This time the shorter bald bartender stiffed me. Diablo Marg is $15. I have him a $20 and he kept it saying it's $20 not $15 ... smh. So idk if I either didn't tip him or he took the $5 and made it his tip.

Angelica G.

Yelp
Brian Pfeiffer vip host for Azilo (773-459-8133) was excellent in setting up our VIP. Had an amazing time. Azilo is a hidden gem!

Eri N.

Yelp
Gotta give this place props: cool drinks, cool staff and cool music! Thanks AZILO for the good time for all of us!
