Where To Eat In Accra - Accra - The Infatuation

"Azmera is a traditional Ghanaian buffet, built with the aunties, uncles, hungry hippos, and Accra first-timers in mind. It feels like you’re at a family function where the aunties have come together to showcase their prize dishes, and you’re the lucky guest who gets to fill your plate with all the goodies. They’re open every day, but if you visit on the weekend, you’ll be welcomed by a band playing classic highlife tunes before you’re shown to your table. Give your drink order then let loose at the buffet, showcasing a variety of Ghanaian dishes. You’ll want to fill your plate with tatale and bambara beans, your favourite stew (we love the garden eggplant stew—where local garden eggs are cooked in a spicy tomato sauce), plus some banku, waakye, fufu with your selected soup, and then chop it all down whilst bopping in your seat." - eileen twum

Azmera Restaurant at 9 Sir. Arku Korsah Rd, Accra, Ghana 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This is the upscale restaurant everyone has been looking for when traveling to Ghana. 🇬🇭✨ At every turn, they are waiting to serve you from the moment you enter the door to seating you at your table. 🤵🏿‍♂️🍽️ This restaurant offers a dining experience that is 100% upscale. 🥂🌟 It's like coming to Ghana and wanting to experience every type of local cuisine, presented in its best form. 🍲😋 It is definitely a 10/10 pick for an excellent dining experience. 💯👍 My only advice would be: You would need to either have your driver drop you off at this location, or take an Uber or taxi. 🚗🚕 Parking is very limited. 🅿️🤏 Once you are inside, you will experience a very upscale food experience with very local delicacies. 👩🏾‍🍳🥘 There is nothing cheap about this type of experience. 💰💎.

Beautiful cosy place with varieties of cultural and Continental dishes for a good, happy family get together. The music was not just recorded music, but life gospel band and choir. The choral songs made the place so friendly and peaceful. Their food too, was a different brand wit delicious tastes. They need more spaces for parking lot. I commend the service arms, they serve with joy and eagerness to help you choose food and deserts.

This should be the first place you visit for all your local food needs. It’s literally local food paradise. I was so amazed. The food paired with the local drinks are just the best combination. It’s a great experience. Clean atmosphere and very welcoming and friendly staff. They offer buffet service too. I will recommend them anytime…

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The atmosphere and food are phenomenal. The owner is a stalwart in the food industry and local community. It was a great way to experience the diversity of Ghanaian cuisine. I recommend the buffet. The sobolo is very refreshing.

Don’t eat here. The price like most things in Ghana has gotten ridiculous. I was charged 850 cedi for the buffet. That is highway robbery. I won’t be back nor will I be bringing any of my groups here in the future.

The menu and overall customer experience were very good. However, there’s an opportunity to enhance the authenticity of the ambience. The background music featured Western selections, and the servers introduced themselves using English names instead of their Ghanaian names. This inconsistency detracts from the beauty of the African atmosphere that the restaurant could fully embody. Great overall experience. I would recommend this restaurant to friends visiting Ghana.

They made an effort, at least some of them did, but this was by far the most disappointing fufu I've ever tasted. Even the groundnut soup was underwhelming, and the buildup was completely unnecessary. We waited at our table for an excessively long time before we could even place our order, and then waited nearly an hour for the fufu to arrive - absolutely absurd! The service was incredibly slow, and despite bringing it to their attention, there was no effort to improve. In my opinion, it's not worth another visit, especially considering we had initially considered the buffet - that would have been a waste of money.
