Where To Eat In Accra - Accra - The Infatuation

"Azmera is a traditional Ghanaian buffet, built with the aunties, uncles, hungry hippos, and Accra first-timers in mind. It feels like you’re at a family function where the aunties have come together to showcase their prize dishes, and you’re the lucky guest who gets to fill your plate with all the goodies. They’re open every day, but if you visit on the weekend, you’ll be welcomed by a band playing classic highlife tunes before you’re shown to your table. Give your drink order then let loose at the buffet, showcasing a variety of Ghanaian dishes. You’ll want to fill your plate with tatale and bambara beans, your favourite stew (we love the garden eggplant stew—where local garden eggs are cooked in a spicy tomato sauce), plus some banku, waakye, fufu with your selected soup, and then chop it all down whilst bopping in your seat." - eileen twum

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. The atmosphere and food are phenomenal. The owner is a stalwart in the food industry and local community. It was a great way to experience the diversity of Ghanaian cuisine. I recommend the buffet. The sobolo is very refreshing.

This should be the first place you visit for all your local food needs. It’s literally local food paradise. I was so amazed. The food paired with the local drinks are just the best combination. It’s a great experience. Clean atmosphere and very welcoming and friendly staff. They offer buffet service too. I will recommend them anytime…

The local food variety was great. All kinds of different local dishes were available. The customer service was great and excellent. The food was excellent too.

The menu and overall customer experience were very good. However, there’s an opportunity to enhance the authenticity of the ambience. The background music featured Western selections, and the servers introduced themselves using English names instead of their Ghanaian names. This inconsistency detracts from the beauty of the African atmosphere that the restaurant could fully embody. Great overall experience. I would recommend this restaurant to friends visiting Ghana.

Absolutely spectacular place to visit! We had a party of 11 people. They were very accommodating, friendly, clean, and the food was amazing! We were looking for great food with an authentic Ghanaian flare and this place delivered...

I had a nice touch up of both a formal and a home based experience (local in a class👌)

They made an effort, at least some of them did, but this was by far the most disappointing fufu I've ever tasted. Even the groundnut soup was underwhelming, and the buildup was completely unnecessary. We waited at our table for an excessively long time before we could even place our order, and then waited nearly an hour for the fufu to arrive - absolutely absurd! The service was incredibly slow, and despite bringing it to their attention, there was no effort to improve. In my opinion, it's not worth another visit, especially considering we had initially considered the buffet - that would have been a waste of money.
