Now I see why there’s nobody on Friday. The music was awful. The same Tempo all night. Why do they have a cover? $10 was too much for what we got. Who knows! When you have only one person dancing all night long, that should be an indication that something is wrong. My friends asked me if the old guy got pay to dance. 😂The place without La Globos or Maritrini will just disappear. What a mistake coming here on a Friday. Now you know. 🥱

Do not come with your own car. All the parking available in the area will receive a ticket or get towed. Very unpleasant experience after trying to have some fun. The area does not even have lines to know parking diagonally was incorrect, or signs to let people know they can’t can park around. Your car will get towed. You will get a ticket. Honestly do not come. Period.

It's been a while since I've been there, but now I remember why. On Saturday, I went with friends visiting from Puerto Rico, and we were served TERRIBLY. The waiter insulted us because we didn't take a table, which required a minimum of $250.00. Instead, he offered the table to a group of guys who were his friends. He insulted us and served buckets of beer while we drank whiskey. We went to the manager, and he said the waiter wanted to give the table to his friends and there was nothing he could do. The waiter insulted us with offensive words and gave us the middle finger. He called security, and security was the only one who apologized for what happened and the waiter's behavior. He told us he knew we had arrived since 11 p.m. when the place was only 4 people. I've never returned to this place, and once again, I know why I didn't go. When it started, it was called "Sugar," and it was super FUN. I DO NOT recommend it to anyone. The waiter never wanted to give his name. He was a bald old man.

It’s a little place but a lot of fun with great and dazzling drag shows combined with a good Dj mostly Latin music Come with friends and positive vibes to support the community The entrance cost you 10$ and the drinks are fair price I didn’t see any rule of -drink per hour-clean bathrooms and plenty space outside . (To smoke) recommended!

PLEASE READ THIS. The drinks they serve at the bar are not the right Alcohol brand. I asked and paid for Grey Goose, and my buddy asked for whiskey. They did not taste right. Please beware! Fake liquor! Never again. Also, the place was empty and dead. Never again... what a shame.

We love this nice little latin gay spot. Not sure why all you queens are giving this place only one star! Very friendly bartenders, great drinks, shows and music! Great outdoor patio to chill and relax! Dance the night away!

DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE! Main reasons: why do you charge a cover, its a bar, not a club. This place rips you off in every aspect, The service and workers are super rude and arrogant. It’s a bar claiming to be a club - with tables in the middle of the dance floor, so no one dances at all. We asked 3 different servers the prices and they all gave a different one, first $280, then $250 and the bartender quoted $220. The drinks are watered down and they charge an automatic gratuity/tip for every drink order, what the hell, this is not an A-list locale in brickell. The drag show is a snooze fest and it’s their claim to fame. I recommend coming to Wilton Manors, you can see one of the same performers (teresita) and better ones at The Alibi, plus they don't charge cover and they have 2-1 drinks. This place is a death trap, but the cuban community seems fine being robbed literally in their faces. The crowd, cuba-landia gays with attitude, I got pushed so many times, no manners or common courtesy.

5 stars for the vibe. The place is a amazing , BUT The music is so LOUD it's illegal and will damage your hearing forever. Bring ear plugs. Also they could not make a mojito.

We had a great time.Show was really good.The drinks are price good nothing crazy. Parking is ok if you get there early.

Azucar has recently gone through yet another transition, with primary host/MC Marytrini departing after a few years here, and taking with her many of the same staff that have seemingly followed her to every club and establishment she's been involved with. We've come here a few times in recent weeks and the place is running nearly the same as it always has for at least a few decades, through changes in drag hosts, management and even changes to this venue's name over those years. We tend to come just before showtime so there's normally always a cover (worth it for the entertainment patrons get to see), friendly bartenders and a drag show featuring talented performers, with at least one normally interacting with patrons and doing comedy during a break in the performances, before opening up the floor for dancing once the show is complete. Azucar isn't located near much of anything else when it comes to nightlife, it's a bit divey - definitely nothing fancy or glamorous, and it's probably not worth the drive from the beach just to check it out, as at least one other reviewer mentioned. Also, all shows and entertainment, aside from lyrics to a few songs here and there are in Spanish with no English translation, so if you don't speak Spanish or have someone who can interpret at least some of the funniest bits that get the most laughs, you may not fully understand what's happening or may feel a bit left out. That said, if you're just looking for a solid drag show or appreciate Latin nightlife, this is definitely an option.

No era lo que yo esperaba. -Por una cerveza coloqué un dolar de tip, y me cargaron 4 más, o sea, terminé pagando 14 usd por una corona. Pésimo servicio. -El ambiente está lleno de "sugars", y nadie baila, solo van a verse las caras. -El DJ terrible, justo cuando la gente comenzaba animarse a bailar cambiaba de canción a una horrible. -Ponen demasiado "humo", no se podía ver a nadie hasta las 1 am que comenzaron a bajarle. -Los "bailarines" o "strippers"... uno baila dándolo todo (gran trabajo), y el otro solo se dedica a mostrar el D**K para que los "sugars" vayan a tocárselo y a darles dinero. -El show de drag queens comienza a las 3 am. Y deberían coordinar mejor con el DJ, porque la música estaba bien fuerte que solo me tapaba los oídos. -Les doy una estrella solo porque las drag queens se lo merecen. Y eso, que solo una sabe escoger buenas canciones e interpretarlas. Trata de evitarlo si no te gusta un ambiente así.

Hacia mucho tiempo no iba y mi experiencia no fue buena. La bebida muy mala calidad sobre todo los tragos preparados, son un robo y una falta de respeto, pedi una pina colada y jamas parecerse a una pina colada, falta de alcohol, y no se corresponde la cantidad ml con el precio. Deberian pasar inspectores de vez en cuando.

This place was a very fun and very stunning. It is a Celia Cruz themed bar with great music and the cocktails are very inexpensive and strong. If you are looking for a great night out, this is definitely the spot.

I was there with my friends .. we paid $10. Just to get in and if you are going to be sear in a table which we did.. big mistake they offer you 4/5 different bottles rum/ vodka/ tequila cheap stuff but they charge you $230. And they said picada and they only bring 3-4 pieces of cheese and ham . And we almost $300. For that garbage .. I will never go back over there .. the shows are ok . The worst and expensive place .

Only came here passing by from Virginia to an after hour spot I was recommended to so I've never been here to eat or sober but from what I see, this place gets real live and it's always fun. Everybody's always dancing with great music. I got an opportunity to meet the owner and he was sharing some of the events they have going on and some pictures. Definitely will come back when I visit Miami again. Very nice people and great prices! They have three bars in here and unfortunately due to the alcohol, I only got to get one picture LOL

We were on vacation and stayed near by and came to this nightclub 3 times, it was a good time but once we were ready leave on the third night we were waiting for our Uber where one of the securities implied to leave rudely kicking us off the property and just being extremely rude. This place is not bad at all but the security and the way they treat people made it a bad experience.

No place to dance costumers are the vip background terrible . Is like a cabaret even on Saturday. Like a sardine on a can. Terrible

I came here with a large group of people around midnight. the place was pretty dead but we hung out on the patio where it seemed to be a bit busier. cut to 230AM. suddenly a deserted stage area is transformed into a fully realized drag show. we had no idea this was happening and were fully shocked and pleasantly surprised when it did. most of the songs were in Spanish but there were a few Ariana grande songs thrown in there. every queen was giving it their all. this was not rookie shit. a few of us were brought up during an intermission for an impromptu dance competition which was embarrassing and hilarious at the same time. everywhere there barrrelllyyy spoke English and it was amazing. 5/5 stars I would definitely come back again.

I'm big on accurate information and came twice this month and closed. So much with wanting party with my peeps but I'm over it. Straight clubs has way better feel with music. Sorry guys till my next gay cravings but it will be in Wilton Manor ‍

Horrible !!!! This club should shut down.. its far from everything. Uber to this place was just a complete waste of $35.00.... Nobody was in the club and they had tight security for no reason!! I could have just came in pj and being my own party!!! PLEASE SHUT DOWN!!!

This place was horrible. Came here with a friend on a Sunday night, and each time we went to the bar to get a drink (both inside and outside) it took the bartenders 30 minutes to recognize us, even though they serviced people who showed up at the bar after us. The bartender outside kept coughing and wiping his eyes and face, and then served drinks, so don't know what was going on there. The club itself was just a long drag show. Being a Cuban gay club, I expected a lot more music and dancing, but all that happened was people standing around watching an old drag queen that should have retired years ago.

The last time I was at this club I tripped over a protruding cement block which was built into the wall by the club's owners, and I seriously injured my back. This cement block was right next to their emergency exit door and because there was no light in that area of the club, I therefore couldn't see that block, which i ended up stumbling over, and thus it resulted in my permanent back injury. A definite hazard, very dangerous!

The club just re-opened and was not good. The only good thing was that it looks more spacious the way it was re done. The sound system was not clear, too much bass. Drinks were expensive, of poor quality and cover charge with parking was 10.00 each by the time you have a drink and just listen to music, thirty dollars are gone. In the past they had drink specials for before midnight and this attracted people even from Fort Lauderdale who wanted to get out of town for a great time. Too much Reggeaton, if it's a latin club play all genres evenly. The salsa tracks were altered with an extra beat or rhythm which made it sound unpleasant and very fast. Merengue and Bachata were not played. The drag shows are good but should be spread through the night so all can enjoy. They already have an all drag show night, Sundays. Not planning on coming back, it was not a good experience. The music was old and nothing in English.
