Azul Celeste Bar and Grill

My recent visit to Azul Celeste was a delicious experience. We went because I saw many raving reviews on Facebook so I had to give them a try. Boy, was I ever happy we tried them out. The ambiance was warm and inviting, a cozy atmosphere and with service that was attentive and friendly. I ordered the burrito which was made to perfection and absolutely delicious. I loved the presentation of the sauces and food. My boyfriend had the chicken mole, which he also raved about. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I don’t know why this place is not busy as it should be. Very hard to locate a place with good mole but this place made it perfect. Shrimp and steak tacos were amazing and the drinks were also perfect. Definitely recommended to go here.

Wow. I was in the area on business and stopped in because I saw the good review. The steak and shrimp tacos were totally amazing. I also ordered a steak burrito that was very good. They had great music playing also and live baseball games on the TV to keep me entertained. The service was very friendly. I totally recommend this place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was in the area and decided to try this place out, literally amazing food & conversation with the owner. We had the surf and turf tacos & we will definitely be coming back for those! Definitely give this place a shot

First off let me say I just tried this place last week and have already been here 3 times within the first week! The steak they make is amazing, super tasty and good quality!! I have tried the steak tacos, the steak and shrimp tacos, steak burrito and also the chicken taquitos! Everything I have tried is amazing and the guacamole is the best I have had! Service is amazing and I love the cleanliness of the restaurant! I will be back soon to try more things!! I am super picky with steak tacos, and this place is by far the best around!! No cheap meat here!! Can't wait to try more things!!

My go to spot for a great evening of drinks & food!!! The atmosphere is always welcoming, the customer service is always as it should be, on point! The prices are very reasonable and the quality of food and drinks is always top notch. If you’re looking for quality food, great service, welcoming atmosphere and great date night spot, this is it. They’re a great addition to downtown Joliet. Bring a smile and appetite and you’ll enjoy it here.

The steak tacos, Philly cheesesteak tacos, and guacamole were delicious. Our waitress was so friendly and on top of everything. We will definitely be back to try some more things on the menu. I highly recommend you come check Azul out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Phenomenal food here! We had the steak and shrimp tacos we loved every bite! Even the salsa before the food came out was incredible. Will absolutely be back. Whoever is married to that chef is certainly lucky!

Big Mexican population in Joliet so it's no surprise there's a lot of such restaurants in the city. It has many that are on the authentic side such as this. Azul Celeste is a fun gathering place for drinks as well as food. Has okay prices on most items. They have a not so big menu but there's still plenty of options. A kind of unassuming building. It's located downtown, which isn't pretty. The inside is a lot better, with fun things like slots. A lot of cocktails to choose from. It's about $10 for a margarita. A few flavors are available. I got it with the mango. A limited menu for food. It's $10 for guacamole. This is great for dipping chips and other stuff. Chill atmosphere early and later gets better. It's located in downtown on Chicago Avenue at Benton in a building that looks sketchy. The menu has cocktails, taco, and other things.

Outstanding food & good vibes. They have live music on the weekends, we'll definitely come back for that. Surf & turf tacos and elote were so delicious. Definitely a nice stop when you're in the area.

The food here is amazing! We will definitely put this into our regular rotation. It's a small family-run place. The owner was behind the bar and very friendly. I went with margaritas, and my boyfriend had Jack and Coke. The drinks were well-made and had plenty of the good stuff! The owner's wife is the cook. The menu is fairly simple, but everything tasted delicious and seems truly authentic. The steak tacos are wonderful, stacked high with flavorful steak, onions, and cilantro. My boyfriend ordered the steak burrito, and it was large and packed with steak, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream, and he devoured it. All the service was fast and attentive. The inside is very clean and simple, with a few tables and a long bar. There are several tvs, and it turned out to be a great spot to watch football! There are also some gaming slot machine things, if that's something you enjoy. I picked this place because we were going to a show at the Rialto and wanted to do dinner within walking distance. I have to admit, we almost left to find a different ambiance for a dressed up date night, but it turned out to be a perfect spot and a great experience. I can't wait to go back!

Would rank more than 5 stars! Went with 40 people. Owner came out in the rain to greet us. Staff couldn't have been nicer. They were ready for our arrival. We were seated right away. Orders were taken promptly. Management helped staff. Chips, salsas and drinks were delivered right away. Food orders were correct and delicious. Prices are reasonable. Drinks are excellent. Friendly and welcoming. A must go to. We will return!

My husband & I went to Azul Celeste On Wednesday. The margaritas were fresh & delicious! We had nachos which were amazing! I ordered the chile relleno tacos. By far, the most delicious tacos I've had in a long time. The pepper was cooked perfectly and just the right amount of cheese. My husband had a steak torta. Packed full of steak, fresh lettuce & tomatoes. The owner was friendly and very nice to talk with. Everything is made fresh! Super clean restaurant as well! We will definitely go back!

We went to dinner at Azul Celeste with friends last night and have found a new favorite restaurant! The food was wonderful - my steak burrito was filled with more steak than I've ever had in a burrito. I highly recommend trying the Cochinita pibil; this is a unique dish made from slow roasted pork that is hugely flavorful, and served with pickled red onion. While the food alone is reason to go, the family that owns and runs the restaurant is welcoming and charming. The ambiance is modern, clean and spacious, with a cute bar and delicious drinks. This is a new gem in downtown Joliet.

People say they are always looking for "authentic" Mexican food. Two words: Go here. A simple menu with simply delicious Mexican food. Tender steak seasoned just right. Shrimp done to perfection. Delicious Conchinata Pibil tacos. Chilaquiles with a wonderfully spicy flavor. And, to top it all, the owners are just as authentic as the food they produce. Honest and hard working. Go there: You will not be disappointed.

Food was delicious, went back the next day to eat again. Drinks we delicious! Everyone there was very polite.

I went with a party of 5 and everyone loved this place. The steak and shrimp tacos were amazing. Both the steak and shrimp were cooked perfectly. The rice came out piping hot. The speciality margaritas were fantastic. We all agreed we will be back soon. 4.75/5.

I have been to just about every Mexican Restaurant east of the river, having not yet found one worth a darn to the West, with few exceptions. This space is modern, clean. The steak and shrimp tacos outstanding, as was the chile relleno. Pilo and his wife a simply nice folks. Highly recommended.

Going to grade them easy since they have just opened and our waiter had only worked there for a few hours. The food was delicious, we tried the Steak, Chorizo, and Chicken tacos. The steak and chorizo were as good as any I've ever had, the chicken was good, but I will stick to the steak and chorizo going forward. Service was not great and there was an odor as you walked in that was reminiscent of bathroom cleaners, but all in all I will be back.
