I stopped by Azul Tacos and Beer for the first time while on the hunt for some good street tacos—and they definitely delivered. The tacos were flavorful and satisfying, and at around $4 each, they felt slightly on the higher end, but still reasonable for the quality. The meat was well-seasoned and everything tasted fresh. The service was decent—not overly attentive, but staff were accommodating when I had questions. Nothing memorable, but not bad either. The atmosphere is interesting. The space feels like a mix between a bar and a casual restaurant, with a setup that made me wonder if it turns into a nightlife spot after hours. It’s definitely more of a laid-back, bar-like vibe than a traditional taqueria. Overall, the food was the highlight. I’d definitely come back to try more of their menu options. If you’re looking for good tacos and don’t mind a bar-style environment, it’s worth checking out.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Charlotte. It is truly the most authentic. I go to Mexico quite frequently and this spots layout flavor and style feels like a typical taco shop in Mexico. they even have the typical authentic Mexican style salsa bar with onions & etc. This is a great spot for most diets meateaters, pescatarian, vegetarians and vegans. They have great options that you can change up to fit your needs. Also, they have the most consistent and authentic salsa and guacamole. My only suggestion would be that they get soundproofing because it can get really noisy in there when they play the music and there’s people talking and the open kitchen. My 11yo son can get easily overstimulated and in this environment it can be quite intense for him.

We ate at Azul for dinner on a Saturday night. The service was pretty good/fast but I was not impressed with the food. The Steak taco was pretty good but the rest were sub par. We will not be going back. Shocked that this place has such a high rating.

Google
WOWZA! The tortillas, the aguas frescas, the salsas, and even the CHAMOY is made in-house!!!! The quesabirrias are to DIE for, and they use real Mexican cheese! Whether it’s nopales, cachete, birria, margaritas, or arroz con leche, this place is the real deal. Take it from a Mexican. Hector and Alexis gave us the utmost attentive experience, and we were SO impressed by this local hidden gem. Gracias, gracias, gracias! Edit: We came back, and all five of us agreed that the tres leches cake was the best we have ever had. Period! One slice is enough for 4-5 people. It was DELICIOUS. Gracias, Hector!

If anybody finds their self in Charlotte NC stop by Azul Tacos & Beer . I was visiting from California. It’s Family owned with friendly faces. Where you can eat authentic Mexican food. Fresh corn tortillas made daily. A menu with a large variety of food to choose from. At least 6 different types of tacos. Birria ramen. Loaded carne asada potato or nachos. Or if you are feeling soup…try their pozole. Oh and don’t forget to try the ceviche. Trust me put a little mayo on the tostada and enjoy. I was visiting for 7 days and still didn’t have enough time to try everything on their menu. So if your looking for some good food for you and family? Or just to wind down and have a drink at the bar with friends. Azul is the place to be. I give ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. Food that is FIRE.

Google
Wow! Amazing tacos! We really enjoyed the food and service. Everything came out fast and hot. The menu offers great variety of dishes from authentic Mexican to Tex Max. Portions are great, prices are decent. Our favorite were Beef cheeks and tongue tacos. Highly recommend!

Google
This place is very authentic Mexican food. The atmosphere is so good, the people are so friendly, they have good music. The drinks are so good, my favorite is Mezcalito. Honestly best drinks I’ve had. They definitely don’t disappoint. The food portions are huge.

Google
I had taco Al pastor and a cantarito and everything was amazing. The pastor is straight off the trompo, tortillas were made in house and they topped my tacos with more than enough pineapple!! Service was also exceptional from the bartender to the cooks. I definitely recommend.

Yelp
The food and service were great! When you enter the restaurant, you order at the desk and then sit wherever you like. The staff was kind and helped us get the next available table (which didn't take long). We ordered the asada quesadilla, asada street tacos, and chips and guac. The quesadillas and tacos came with a lot of meat, very filling. The guacamole was fresh. Our favorite salsa was the pineapple one, so good! We came on Valentine's Day, and the sour cream came in little heart containers which I thought was so cute! They also gave us a free chicken quesadilla (whoever ordered didn't pick it up & it ended up being my favorite dish), definitely made our night! The overall atmosphere was nice and lively, highly recommend!

Yelp
Great, friendly service! The tacos were all pretty small, but the ratio of meat to tortilla was good. Pastor Taco (4/5): Nice bend of flavors with a bit of sweetness and citrus from the pineapples. Carnitas Taco (4/5): Good flavor, but a bit dry. Asada Tacos (4/5): Decent steak tacos. Mexican Street Corn (3/5): Not my favorite. Too much citrus for me. It was also very messy to eat off the cob. *Loved the horchata. It was very thick and a bit grainy (which I enjoyed). RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Yelp
Visiting our family now living in Charlotte after we all moved from SoCal - we hit the jackpot! This restaurant: wait staff, bartenders, chefs, and owners really love the people that come in. Friendly prompt service from the owner's nephew Adrian, very helpful for first time diners here, helping us with a high chair for our grandson. Then the drinks (outstanding house margaritas), chips, salsa, and guacamole -delicious!! The mains came: Cali burrito, carne asada taco bowl, birria tacos, street tacos (al pastor, carne asada, and carnitas). WOW!! Savory, delicious, made with care! The salsa bar has a wide variety of styles of delicious salsa's. One of the owner's, Hector, came and chatted and brought us a fabulous chicken tamale that was devoured by all of us. We rapidly texted our extended transplanted family of this true gem of a find! We look forward to our next visit, and are very pleased that our kids and grandson have a new favorite spot! Muy bueno!!!!

Yelp
We are in town visiting and went out to eat. We found that the pizza place was an hour + wait so we went to Azul. So glad we happened on to this place. We were greeted at the side entrance by the bartender who explained that food tables are first come first serve. So we sat at the bar. Ana greeted us immediately, provided us menu's and served us house margaritas in a few minutes. So glad we ditched the wait for pizza! House Margaritas are nicely tart and not sweet. We ordered and food was ready in a few minutes. The chicken bowl and the shrimp tacos were nicely presented and very tasty. The pricing is reasonable and the atmosphere is vibrant as the dj kept playing a good mix of dance music. In all this a no frills place with excellent service and great food. Thanks Ana for taking good care of us!

Yelp
Inside is very live, does not feel like you're in Charlotte. You can see the cooks preparing your food, big jugs of agua frescas, nice bar area with good drink choices. Salsa bar with choices of salsa, limes and picked veggies. Last time one of the cooks asked if I wanted some grilled onions and I'm glad I said yes. I can't say what to try because it's all good. I've tried all the meat choices they have and they all were amazing. Highly recommend, if I lived closer I'd be there more than twice a week.

Yelp
Taco Tuesday! Tacos are a dollar off on Tuesdays, which is a phenomenal deal because 2 to 3 of those babies will probably fill the average person up. I'm a big fan of Azul! My favorite thing is that they make their cocktails fresh, in-house and that really makes a difference. I think few places in the area do food and cocktails exceptionally well at the same time. This is definitely one of those places! I'm a big fan of the chips and queso as a meal of its own. It's actually become quite a problem for me and I need to go to chip-and-dip. All jokes aside, I recommend so many things on this menu: the burritos, the mulitas, the loaded nachos and more! There is parking on-site but, depending on when you go, it can be limited. Prepared to park in another lot or along the street and walk on busier days. I also feel that the food here is affordable. It really is a gem. I usually sit at the bar and the service is exceptional and the vibes in the place are overall fun.

Yelp
Okay, don't tussle with me about my review lol. I did not have the same experience as most of the reviews I've read. Starting with the positive, I can certainly see why some enjoy coming here. It is local friendly, and the vibe gives an authentic hangout. Bartenders were very nice and helpful with making the best drink option based on personal preference. Now for what I did NOT enjoy. The food! I had a taco, and my daughter had the chicken burrito. It wasn't good. It was soggy and undercooked. The presentation was not appealing, and I immediately regretted my choice once I saw the food. Typically, I don't back track so it's highly unlikely of a second visit.

Yelp
Cool to try a new place. We ordered one of every taco meat option (7 tacos total) and tried the chips, queso and salsa. We ordered two Tecates (cheapest beer on the menu) and finished with their strawberry shortcake tres leches. I would say for what we got, it was fairly expensive, the tacos were street tacos, so they were small and although they were good, there's a few other places to get better authentic tacos for less $. It's a quick service place, which we were expecting, but that's fine to order and pick up our own food. They have a salsa bar that had some good hot sauces, but we were a bit annoyed that when we ordered we were told if we wanted to try the salsa with our order of queso, we had to order the chips and salsa and then an order of the queso but the salsa was there at the salsa bar. Probably won't go back but glad we tried it

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic Mexican, this is the place! Upon arrival, I absolutely love the outside of the building. They unfortunately did not look like they were handicap accessible. (I could be wrong) I only saw steps leading up to the front door. Once you enter, you see the open atmosphere the bar, the kitchen, and in the back is where you order. You look over the menu and make your decisions. I would definitely choose this place again if ever in Charlotte because they are authentic! My partner and I got the steak California burrito and it was HUGE!! Definitely could have shared. It was so full of rice and french fries and steak. It definitely is worth the price. I had the Quesa Birria burrito and just like the California it was packed with birria, rice, beans etc. (another one we definitely could have shared). We finally then got 2 Steak street tacos and those were absolutely delicious. The food was absolutely amazing. I cannot speak more to that. As far as the service goes, we received our food within 5 minutes (definitely not more than 8) it was pretty fast. you pretty much order your food and that's the most interaction that you have until you are leaving and they come and clean up your table unless you need something they are at the hostess stand, at the bar, or in the kitchen. I loved the open concept, it definitely looks like it's family owned and that is one of the reasons I will definitely come back!!

Yelp
Best vegetarian tacos!! At Azul you order at the counter and choose your own seating. The woman taking my order recommended the hibiscus (yes, the flower) tacos when I inquired about vegetarian options. I had no idea what to expect, but they were marinated and prepared to perfection! I've only ever had street corn deconstructed, but enjoyed it being served on the cob. The fresca was sweet and refreshing as well. Service was fast & the decor was super cute and cozy!

Yelp
Today since we were in Charlotte we decided to stop for dinner at @Azul Tacos and Beer ! Super cute Mexican restaurant with some great menu options! We tried the California burrito, shrimp tacos, tacos al pastor, a chicken tamale, flaming hot corn and Mexican street corn and a Chicharrón plate! Of course we grabbed some Jarritos and Agua Fresca and horchata to wash everything down! This is a order and pick up spot no servers just a cashier, bartender and cooks so don't wait at the door to be greeted like we did. You order towards the back of restaurant and pick up your food when your number is called. Everything was great we even grabbed tacos for the road!

Yelp
Azul is such a great spot! Charlotte is so lucky to have this. Their food, service and atmosphere is just awesome, every single time we come. This trip I tried a steak quesadilla and it was massive! I mean to me lol. I couldn't even finish it all lol. I realized I absolutely love their green salsa. Like it's addictive. My boyfriend ordered it and I had to stay out of it because I almost ate it all lol. I really enjoy coming to Azul to try something new, because everything is always good!! The staff works so hard too, because it's usually busy when we come. Seriously legit authentic food! Love Azul so much.

Yelp
Very good drinks and tacos. The place is great ambiance and good bartenders! The bartender knew how to pour some liquor! And the tacos were very delicious. They even had a salsa bar. !!!

Yelp
Azul Tacos and Beer is currently my favorite restaurant/bar in Charlotte. No frills, fluff, grass walls or neon signs here - just SPECTACULAR, CONSISTENTLY DELICIOUS authentic Mexican street food. This place is super casual and right off Freedom Dr. You'll have to order at a counter - and pick up at a designated section just by the kitchen (so no servers waiting on tables). The absolute highlight to me of their menu is the Ceviche. It's arguably the best ceviche I've EVER had, anywhere. The seafood is fresh, flavorful and in my opinion a healthy option if you're conscious of that. It comes with avocado on top, a side of mayo and the most delicious, large tortilla chips in existence. 1000/10 recommended. I've had it more than 5x at this point and it's always been consistent. In regard to their tacos, all of which are authentic to the culture: Carnitas: 10/10 Pastor: 9/10 Lengua: 8/10 Finally, try their elote - it's YUMMY and a perfect side dish to try. If you're looking to have some pretty bomb cocktails - look no further. There is a very nice selection of tequilas and beers here. I would super duper recommend trying any of their different flavors of margaritas; my favorite is the spicy tamarind margarita! This is a great spot for a casual outing with friends, tacos and drinks if you're on date night or even solo and just hungry for a really good meal. Azul, you're my absolute favorite.

Yelp
My new favorite Mexican restaurant in Charlotte. Legit Mexican food instead of the typical Tex-Mex fare out here. Super friendly staff, delicious food and drinks, and clean space. The aguachiles was excellent as were all the tacos. The churros were burnt, which we didn't notice until we got home since we got them to-go, but I'll give them a pass on that this time. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Antonio M.

Yelp
The Mexican rice tasted off so I took a whiff. It smells like someone dumped an ash tray into the pot, I kid you not. I wouldn't have bothered with a review but that rice was offensive. Btw everything else I ordered tasted bad. The pastor & asada street tacos, a double stacked quesadilla and side of beans. Also the first Mexican restaurant I've ever gotten takeout from that didn't put any salsa in the bag.
google avatar

Caroline F.

Yelp
We were told these were the best tacos in town. We weren't disappointed! I love how many complimentary fresh salsas they have. The nachos we got with pastor were huge and delicious. I honestly could have done without my steak taco which was just okay. I tried a bite of my boyfriend's chicken taco and preferred it to the steak, but if I come back I'd just get the pastor nachos again. Also, the whole time we were wishing there was an outdoor patio as it was very nice out.

Yelp
Loved everything about our experience here. It is a counter service restaurant for food but has a bar that you can order at separately. My husband and I ordered dinner and sat at the bar for a drink. The Classico was great along with the Cali Dream. They make their own chamoy and use it to rim the drinks which was truly delicious. The California burrito was massive and the quesabirria was amazing. Cool vibe with lots of seating. First visit but definitely not the last!

Gerardo L.

Yelp
Their food was good I had a torta de lengua and rice had a chile rellenos burrito which was big. The service was good. The place was clean my only thing was no water bottles and no diet sodas.
google avatar

Omer G.

Yelp
Two words: Taco Tuesday. $2.99 tacos. Best bargain for tacos in Clt. Is the food compelling enough to try on a different non-discounted day? Sure. But just a once-in-while spot for me. Tacos may seem small, but fair ratio of meat. It's all about the protein.
google avatar

Natalie P.

Yelp
I ordered Azul specifically for their Cali burrito.. I have not found anything like the ones in San Diego since moving here 3 years ago. My absolute favorite Cali burrito is from La Perla (cost about $10 now) so that is where I set my standards against. This burrito packs some serious heft.. as it should for nearly $15 base price. The burrito comes with your choice of meat (no additional cost for carne asada). The salsa on this burrito has some spice to it as well which tasted great. What I did notice was that the fries to steak ratio was off.. there were so many fries! Although delicious, I wish there had been more steak. The homemade tortilla was great and kept everything neat and clean as a vessel for eating. Ordering online was easy and the staff were friendly during my pick up. Although definitely not cheap, I will consider indulging in Azuls Cali burrito whenever I have a serious craving for SoCal! Im also interested in trying other offerings on the menu- this place is good!

Yelp
Welcome to Wesley Heights, Azul! I'm so excited for your growth because the food HITS! The reviews have been strongly positive, and I see why. I was stuck between the quesabirria tacos or the taco bowl. I decided to go with the former. We got chips, salsa, and queso. Topped everything off with two different beverages: hibiscus agua fresca and a sangria. I've since been back for various menu items and brought friends along. Love it!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Saturday and glad we got there about 6 pm bc by 7 pm they were PACKED. Couldn't even find an empty chair. Got the birria tacos and they did not disappoint. They do have a little kick to them which I liked. They were super crispy on the outside with lots of cheese and filling on the inside. They given pretty large portions too. I had the mango margarita which was very tasty and not too expensive. Super reasonably priced and the owner gives everyone a personal interaction. Causal place to grab a quick bite and a relaxed atmosphere. Get the chips and salsa too!
google avatar

Yelp
Driving through Charlotte and found this gem off the highway. Full bar and walk up service was fast! Everything we had was deelish but the street tacos are especially recommended. Tried the Al Pastor and Asada -- both great! Small and independent, let's keep this business thriving!
google avatar

Chloe T.

Yelp
First of all, wow. When you walk in, there are blue flowers hanging from the ceiling. The ambiance is great! I'll admit I get confused if there's a separate bar and ordering station where I go, but we were greeted right as we walked in and I was able to ask and clarify that I could indeed order my drinks at the main station! Such a good spot for brunch, we also got mulitas and they were super good. If you're vegetarian, I'd recommend this spot too as they can do hibiscus or poblano peppers if you're more for the spicy picks like me :) I got the hibiscus mimosa + spicy mama (p.s. they know how to make their sips spicy!) and my mom got the horchata agua fresca. We loved *everything* we got and I highly recommend stopping by!!

Yelp
Tasty taco's and salsa. Came on a Sat night around 6PM and parking was a challenge. Once we got a spot, their wasn't that many people inside - so not sure why parking was such an issue. However, by the time we left - the place was packed! Beer menu is mostly Mexican (go figure) and didn't have much of a local IPA offering (only one from Wicked Weed). That's an opportunity. My bride ordered a chicken quesadilla ($12) and she wasn't impressed. I ordered three street tacos with chicken ($11) and they were really flavorful - caution for some as the sauce they put on the taco is spicy. We ordered the chips and salsa ($6) and the salsa was fantastic (also brought a little heat). Service was friendly and prompt at the bar from Marissa.
google avatar

Yelp
5 stars for the food! The owner greeted us because it was probably obvious we were first-timers. First you pick your meal type (nachos, taco, burrito, etc) then you pick your protein topping. You order at this small desk with a register, then take your receipt to the bar to get your drinks, then find a table. They'll call your number and you go up to the kitchen counter to get your food. A little wonky, but ok. Saturday night there's a live DJ and it's nightclub-loud. Just a heads up if you're looking for a quiet place to have dinner, this ain't it. You'll barely be able to hear the person in front of you, but, it's a vibe. The portions are BIG. Everyone working here was super nice, especially the owner. We'll definitely be back, but we'll probably pick a different night.

Yelp
Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs coming in. My friend and I came for a spontaneous visit and so glad we did. We ordered so much, thinking we were starving. We could have probably fed 6 people with what we had. Everything was delicious! The asada fries were especially good and such a healthy serving! That would have been a meal on its own, but why stop there? We also ordered the street corn that was covered in hot Cheetos and some tacos, because you got to. Everything was made soo well. I loved the corn tortillas. I'm still thinking about our meal. I definitely need to come back on another day with an army of friends so we can try it all, especially the California burrito. It's a tragedy I didn't grab it the first go. But honestly good ingredients, tasted delicious, and in a pretty cool growing location. Staff were also super chill. Would definitely come back to try more.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Azul Tacos and the food did not disappoint. My husband came home after trying them with coworkers and let me try their watermelon juice and I knew I had to get some more. Like insanely fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, they didn't have watermelon juice when we went together Friday night. We went in around 6pm and I was surprised to be the only customers there. We looked over the menu and decided on the chicken Quesadillas with Birria Consume to dip, chicken Asada fries, and street tacos. I did try the pineapple juice which was good but isn't close to the watermelon juice. All the food was really good but my favorite was the Asada Fries! The owner was there and even came over and chatted with us. I will definitely be back and hope I can get the watermelon juice with it next time.
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
Above all else: Friendliness! Every employee is super welcoming and very thankful that you chose to dine with them. However, the food was just OK. Nothing was bad, but nothing generated a "wow this is goooooood". Granted I didn't get everything on the menu, but I got pretty simple items and they just seemed to taste bland. Simple meal doesn't mean bland flavor. The space itself is plain. I like how the kitchen is not hidden, so all the meal prep is visible. There's also large windows that I imagine let a lot of natural light in (I was there at night). Plenty of breweries and eateries in the area so it should get good foot traffic! They DO have a parking lot!
google avatar

Lauren K.

Yelp
The Quesabirria tacos are delicious, featuring flavorful birria meat, cheese, onion, cilantro, and au jus. The meat is so tasty, you almost don't need the au jus. I've ordered them every time I've visited and highly recommend! The California Burrito was enormous and packed with steak, fries, queso, onions, and cilantro. It was so good - I couldn't resist snagging bites. If you're craving Quesabirria flavors in a burrito, this is a must-try! Packed with birria meat, fried cheese, rice, beans, onions, cilantro, creama, and salsa, it was simply amazing. Do not sleep on their margs... they're so good, you'll find it hard to stop at just one!
google avatar

Veronica C.

Yelp
I've been craving their tacos - so tacos Friday it is. They are so good. I was then also given the scoop on the new menu items like this amazing chicharrón (woah) and empanadas. And how can I ever forget their phenomenal horchata. Service is always on point, they remember us and my family. It's always a good feeling. The music, doors open and casual feel gives azul a fun ambiance. They also now have a salsa bar that had so many delicious options.

Idalis M.

Yelp
The owner immediately greeted my family and I at the door, he was very welcoming. The food was so fresh and tasty. They had a Dj present during our meal which was nice! We'll certainly be back!!
google avatar

Latavia C.

Yelp
After carefully reviewing their website, we decided to celebrate cinco de mayo here. We were definitely in for an authentic bold mexican experience with our taste buds. Yes! I had the loaded baked potato that was dressed with fresh ingredients, and as my protein, I did the pork. It was seasoned and marinated throughout the dish. We also tried the specials, the jello shot, and margaritas. The staff was very helpful in our food discussion. We even was able to speak with the owner, and she explained to us the concept for her business fresh import ingredients. Oh,boy, you definitely taste the love in the food. I can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Trish B.

Yelp
The service is great they make you feel like family. The food is good especially the wet burrito. The drinks are made with fresh ingredients and have good flavors. My favorite is the guava margarita. The corn tastes like authentic Mexican street corn it's addicting. This is not a fancy restaurant but it's a great place to grab casual food and awesome margaritas.
google avatar

Jerome P.

Yelp
Very good birria tacos! I arrived right at open and the owner was very friendly. The place was upbeat even at the open.
google avatar

Randus G.

Yelp
Food and service was fantastic. I ordered three tacos and my wife ordered the nachos, and we had a street corn. All were fantastic. The bar side had a very friendly staff. They need more non-beer options - not a cider or seltzer to choose from. The bartender made a fantastic Mexican mojito. It would be nice to be able to order some drinks when I order food and have my order sent to the bar, having to stand in 2 lines wasn't the most convenient thing. The salsa bar was also outstanding. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Being a CA native my family and I have pretty high standards when it comes to Mexican food and this place certainly exceeded ours. We were visiting the area and found this spot. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave some great recommendations. They too are from CA . I ordered the Cali burrito and it knocked me OUT . It was SO delish and the food came out piping hot. I also ordered the Aguachiles- shrimp ceviche like dish. Well seasoned and a great portion with fresh avocado (18$). The shrimp was very fresh. My family ordered the nachos, carne asada fries, guac(SUPER FRESH) and two burritos.. everyone gave their meals 5/5. Prices were not bad and the portions were huge. I couldn't finish my burrito. The inside was nice and we waited about 15 minutes for our food. Kitchen was open facing the dining room so it was cool to see them prepare everything. They also had some really great specials we didn't take advantage of. Bar was full so I know the drinks were good. I believe they offered horchata and another homemade Mexican drink. Overall 10/10 would absolutely come back and support this place.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was amazing!! Thank you Hector! I will definitely recommend Azul Taco and Bar.

Yelp
Love Azul Tacos! It's a smaller venue with a bar vibe. It is on Thrift rd which is very chill but up and coming. We like to go on Tuesdays for taco Tuesday (half off tacos). I look forward to their beef cheek street tacos. They're fresh, the service is quick, the food is hot, and it's always delicious! We have tried their juices too and I really enjoy their kiwi one when they have it. Drinks are good too! The staff is very friendly. I brought my parents here when they were in town and they enjoyed it too! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. So much more I want to try on the menu. However, the only thing they have for kids is a quesadilla and fries. I had the carne asada fries which were fabulous and my sister had the chorizo breakfast burrito and street corn. Soooo good! The staff was helpful and friendly.

Yelp
First time there, we had a plane delay overnight and found this amazing Mexican restaurant very authentic and the family were amazing. The best margaritas I've ever had. If I was ever back in Charlotte, I'll come back to visit.

Yelp
The food here is amazing, the drinks delicious. We had the regular marg and a cantarito and I'd definitely get either one again. Their loaded asada fries are delicious, the lengua tacos are my favorite! The lengua (tongue) is so soft and flavorful. It wasn't too loud with the tv and music going, everything here was great. Definitely a must try place.

Yelp
Today was my first time to visit Azul Tacos And beer . I ordered Tacos De Birria Presentation amazing but the taste was super Nasty the Birria was super salty and spicy ( I love spicy food but this type of spiciness took away all the flavor ) . 0/10

Yelp
Went to this restaurant on a Saturday night and it was hopping! There is plenty of parking and people are constantly going in and out so no problem there. Then you walk in there is a full bar, tables for seating, and the main cashier towards the back. Look up for the menu if you're in line or you can wait to get a real introduction when you meet Hector. He is very personable and helps you understand the menu and offers suggestions. He's like the unofficial host and makes sure everyone is having a great meal. Really appreciated his attention when we went. The Barria burrito is NOT, let me repeat, NOT to be missed!! They customized our orders according to our preferences, even switching the goat meat out for carnitas. They give you a number and then you find a table. When your number is called you go to the counter and get your tray of deliciousness!! Look to your left and you will see the salsa station where there are a variety of salsas for you to try at your leisure. I highly recommend it!!

Yelp
The food is tasty but a terrible value. Tiny two bite tacos. The staff is nice and vibe is good.

Yelp
Hector and team delivered impeccable service. There was also a dj there to set the vibes. I had two al pastor tacos, a side of cilantro rice, and refried beans. I washed it all down with a refreshing sangria. 10/10 recommend. I plan on patronizing this family owned business again. And I recommend the other Charlotte community members do the same.

Yelp
Burritos were HUGE, tacos were small and perfect. Could have probably ate 3 or 4! Pictured are the steak and Al pastor pork street tacos, which were absolutely amazing with so much flavor. Will definitely go back to try other things.! You order and then sit down until your food is ready at the counter. Seems very authentic with their spices!
