Our experience was a 1 for service and a 4 for the food. We had a reservation, but came early and they were able to seat us inside, which was our preference. Lots of open tables and booths, but they sat us at a table next to the kitchen. We asked to move to an open booth, but the hostess said she had to check. She came back and said sorry, it was reserved. We were disappointed and surprised, but she did move us to a better non-booth table which we appreciated. About 1/2 way through our dinner another couple came and took the booth. If they had reserved a both, I guess ok, but reserving a booth wasn't an OT option. Seemed random, but so be it.
Our waitress was friendly and likely new, as she told us she was under 21 and could not help us on cocktails, which was no problem. Regardless of her age or newness, she was completely inattentive. We waited for someone to come by on several points during the dinner (e.g., to take our entrée order, see how our meal was before we finished, to fill empty water glasses, to pay). When trying to pay for a long time, I finally flagged down a manager, but he told me he would be with me in a bit vs. coming right over. To be fair, I saw he had to get the rest of an order to a table, so I understand he could not come right over, but he should have sent someone over immediately to see what we wanted. It can't be normal for a customer to be flagging down a manager.
Once we ordered, the food came out on time and was reasonably paced. Great selection of alcohol and wine; and reasonably priced. The appetizers were exceptional (cauliflower, lobster crêpes)! The entrees were very good. Woven shrimp was perfectly cooked and unique. The Chef's special bone-in ribeye was perfectly cooked and the accompanying fries were exceptional. The ribeye had good flavor, but for $65 I would have thought prime, but was a bit tough in parts. It still was very good. Asparagus was very good. It's just a shame the service left a bad tasted. Hoping they work on that part and take these points to heart.
