12 Best Places to Eat in Lexington, Kentucky - Eater Nashville

"This European fine dining yet relaxed experience is anything but what you’d expect from its strip mall location. Start with Azur’s signature lobster crepes or Brussels sprouts slaw, before diving into dishes like the Azur ocean duo of pan-seared sea scallops and mahi-mahi served over creamy butternut squash and mushroom risotto with a smoked and grilled artichoke heart and rosemary honey mustard vinaigrette. Sushi is also available during limited dinner hours. On Friday and Saturday nights plan a night on the patio for live music, weather permitting." - Melissa Corbin

Long Flight, lots of options near my hotel, but Azur had the most interesting menu and I’m so happy I chose here to dine. The Pimento Cheese Fritters with the Peach Chutney were delightful and the Khan Khan Pork Chop (pictured) was one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time! Service is top notch…ask for Sarah. Chef Nate stopped over to ask how I enjoyed the meal which is always a plus! If your in Lexington, KY, don’t hesitate to dine here :)

Kayleigh was a fantastic server! We had truffle fries, a burger, woven shrimp and pasta di mare. Everything was delicious!! Such a great gem on Lakecrest Circle

Jerry Denman

Google
We started with the calamari fries which were very good and I order calamari almost everywhere we dine. I had the Original Bourbon Fried Chicken and was very happy with that choice. My daughter ordered the Seafood Risotto thought it was very good. My wife ordered the Sea Scallops which she often does. She thought they were amount the best she had. My son-in-law had the Grilled Angus Ribeye. He thought it was prepared very well. The service was excellent. Overall we were e Ty happy with this meal and will be back!

Great meal, perfect portion sizes. Awesome service

Google
Gale is an absolutely incredible bartender/manager. I found myself in need of some chocolate with my red wine, and (because the restaurant was unexpectedly out of their traditional chocolate dessert) she actually walked over to a nearby business and purchased me chocolate! Absolutely exceptional, dinner tonight was incredible. Wine class is truly amazing! Anyone interested in learning about wine should join.

Google
This is a great spot! They have done a nice job of utilizing their outdoor space. We each had a salad with grilled chicken (Chef's menu), the crispy Brussel sprouts, and calamari sticks. We happened to be there on Wednesday and it was wine night. The place was full and lively with an attentive wait staff.

Google
We had the crab cake appetizer which was AMAZING!! I had the shrimp entre and my husband ordered salmon. Very, very, good! I would like to come back and try something different. My dessert was absolutely delicious and the highlight of the meal for me!

Google
Azur has an innovative and unique menu which really piqued my interest. My wife and I had the pimento cheese fritters, grilled salmon, woven shrimp, peach cobbler, and a couple mocktails. The highlights were definitely the fritters and cobbler while the entrees were good, they did leave room for improvement. The lemon chive grits that were served with the salmon were almost overpoweringly sour. The woven shrimp were very unique but for 30 dollars three pieces of shrimp seems a little scarce, they were rather large because of the Phyllo however. Other than that the service was great and the mocktails were very refreshing.

Yelp
I've visited this restaurant only twice, with my first experience being a few years ago during burger week. While I remember enjoying the food then, I won't base my current review on that past experience. I returned recently at the request of someone craving their Monday Wagyu Burger night. Although I'm not typically a burger enthusiast, I decided to try the W.T.F. Burger cooked medium rare. It was by far one of the BEST burgers (and shoestring fries) I've ever had! They were busy so we did wait longer than we expected, but the service was still excellent. Unfortunately, someone in my group received their burger undercooked for their liking. However, the staff, including the chef, was incredibly apologetic and promptly prepared a fresh burger. The restaurant boasts a lively atmosphere, and I particularly love their patio area, which is perfect for colder months. I look forward to returning and exploring the rest of their menu.

Yelp
We gave Azure another chance and ate inside on Saturday night. Due to the heat, the live music was moved inside and it was not satisfactory. The food and service were both very good but the music will have us avoiding Azure on weekends.

Yelp
First time here... my husband & I joined a party of 11 to celebrate a friend's birthday. The server was nice but too young to offer alcoholic drink suggestions. She was attentive. BUT CAN WE PLEASE NOT BE GIVEN UNWRAPPED STRAWS FROM BARE HANDS!!!! Sangria was refreshing. Tried out truffle fries for our appetizer, delicious! Hubby got the Waygu bacon cheeseburger and fries, and he was pleased. I got the Seafood Risotto. Portions were huge. The presentation was a little sloppy. What I tasted was enjoyable, but I couldn't finish after the appetizer. No complaints from the table. The manager dropped by to check on us, a nice touch. My low rating is coming from today when I ate my leftovers...found a piece of ceramic in my food!!! After paying close to $100 for two (with automatic gratuity added...not a problem, server cannot be held accountable for kitchen errors) I'm extremely disappointed.

Yelp
The service was good, and I knew I was going to eat a special meal just from the ambiance provided. I was not disappointed. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the pork chop was amazing...best I've ever eaten. The Brussels sprouts were blistered with honey that made them taste incredible. I'm a mac and cheese conisoiur, and I have never tasted any better than theirs that was made with Gouda cheese. I look forward to eating there again.

Yelp
Came out for brunch - I was really disappointed this time. The service was great, but the eggs and fried potatoes were so salty that they were not edible. I never send food back and will pay for it. I did let the server know who was very kind as well as the manager. I appreciate their kindness and will try again another time.

Yelp
I went on a Saturday night around 8:30PM and it wasn't busy at all. They do have an outdoor section if you choose but I opted for indoors. My friend ordered a couple cocktails and found them to be decent but wasn't overly excited about them. I tried them and wasn't a fan BUT I rarely like any alcoholic beverages so take that how you will. I ordered the pork chop which they asked me how I wanted it cooked. Apparently it took me 32 years to realize you can order pork how you order steak (medium rare, medium, etc.). I chose well done for my ease of mind and even at well done it wasn't dry. The Brussel sprouts were crispy and could have used more seasoning but I was pleased. The max and cheese was good! The salmon was well seasoned and has this sweet sauce on it which went well with the salmon but I wasn't a fan of it mixed with the potatoes. I would have preferred the salmon with the sauce to the side instead of over the potteries but they potatoes were very good! The atmosphere was fairly quiet compared to a lot of other places but it wasn't busy. I found the service slow and I thought he food took longer than it should have. My mac and cheese was just barely warm by the time it got to me while other items were hot. Pork Chop 7.5/10 Salmon 8/10 Overall a good experience and good food. There were several items I wanted to try so I would return.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in here late on a Saturday night because it was close to our hotel. I'm so glad we did. The Leslie Ann's Salad is not only the best beet salad that I have ever had but may just be the best salad that I have ever had. I will travel back to Lexington for this salad. I will forever compare every salad that I ever eat again to this salad. The dressing and candied pecans added the perfect amount of sweetness to the beets and sweet potatoes. Our server, Stephanie informed us that the Leslie Ann's is named after the wife of the head chef. This made me love it even more if that's even possible!

Yelp
We went here last week to celebrate a birthday. We were served an amazing homemade sorbet sorbet was made from wine, berries, and lime. It was very refreshing we ate outside, which was wonderful and our server was amazing. It is one of our go to places in Lexington

Jenny W.

Yelp
One of our favorite spots in Lexington. Great food and love the outdoor patio. Had the Hummus appetizer topped with cherry tomatoes and good cheese, which was delicious. Seasoned just right. Would order again! Main course was the Woven Shrimp- dang it was amazing. Served on a bed of sweet corn risotto with a sweet and spicy bourbon sauce. I could not stop eating it! Partner ordered the blackened salmon sandwich with tomato chutney and goat cheese on top. Amazing. Cooked perfectly. Not too spicy and the chutney complimented the flavor of the salmon. Our server, Lillie, was sweet and attentive. Just a great dinner all around!
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
5 stars for an outstanding dining experience at Azur! I had the Woven Shrimp served over corn risotto (see photo). It was delicate and flavorful--and something I could never make at home. Others at the table had the Pork Chop (thick and perfectly cooked), Seafood Risotto (delicious and able to be customized) and the Pot Roast special. Our service was spot-on... And the atmosphere was lively on a dreary night. Highly recommend. We'll be back!

Yelp
I had a really nice time at Azur. The pasta Primavera was good. The service was great. The atmosphere is elegant without being stuffy. Make sure to wear your Kentucky blue if you want to blend in.

MJ S.

Yelp
We stumbled on to Azur Restaurant and Patio on our way to our hotel. What a fantastic surprise! They had a lovely covered patio with a wonderful musician to entertain us. The menu had some interesting items. My husband had the Grilled Chicken and Smoked Gouda Gnocchi and I had the very creative WOVEN Shrimp! The plate was beautiful and food was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Minda N.

Yelp
This is amazing! Lexington residents are so fortunate! If you are a vegetarian, so many wonderful options. One of the best meals I have ever eaten. The delicious sweet and savory combination s is the pimento cheese fritters. A wonderful beat and brussel sprout salad and then the gnocchi - just these wonderful pillows of deliciousness. Great staff too. Such a great place. When Im back in town, staying next door again.

Yelp
Azur is a place of class with phenomenal food and I wish I'd gotten the gentleman that waited on us because he is absolutely awesome!
google avatar

Marlene J.

Yelp
I know I am not an expert or anything, but I just can't stand the fact that its such a small space. Maybe I am just too fat haha. Otherwise I like this place bunches

Patty A R.

Yelp
Decent food although not sure it matches the high cost. My cesar salad was really Good and service was excellent. The ambiance is good for one person visitors. Conveniently located across street from couple hotels so I could walk to. Small, limited parking. Bartender was a gem and she took such pride in her restaurant and the service she provided.

Terry H.

Yelp
Azur has a relaxing, slightly upscale but very friendly ambiance with indoor dining and a very large outdoor dining area that is partially covered. The bar extends through the wall to the covered patio and offers wine, craft cocktails and beer. Most weekends you can listen to local artists like Ben Lacy, Matt Castle, Dion Sanders, and others play live. The regular menu has a variety of dishes including chicken, pork, beef and seafood entrees that are plated beautifully. Periodically, they have theme nights wherein the kitchen focuses on a particular region or ethnic cuisine. I've had their seafood special the last 2 visits; Halibut last week and Black Grouper last night. They have it flown in fresh. I don't think better seafood can be found in Lexington.

Douglas Z.

Yelp
The food here is totally unique, and their service staff is very engaging and personable. I could not recommend a restaurant with more enthusiasm.
google avatar

Christine G.

Yelp
Made a reservation for Sunday brunch, wasn't needed, they weren't busy at all. Hostess and Waitress were very nice and attentive. Food came out very quickly. My husband loved the peach French toast. I had the crab and artichoke omelette. The accompanying potatoes were great! The fruit was okay. The omelette was different. I like trying new things but wasn't expecting cold crab salad inside my omelette. I did eat about half of it. The hollandaise was good. Restaurant probably has a really great ambiance at night.

Mike A.

Yelp
Service - 3 stars - Polite and energetic but not very attentive. Drink refills of water had to be requested multiple times for a party four (4). Slow kitchen. Ambiance - 3 stars - Uncomfortable chairs and crowded seating. Live music in background was nice. Food - 1 star - Bland, tasteless. Absolutely no seasoning. I had the Sea Grits, a watery mess. Not worth your time, find someplace else.

Yelp
The food was amazing, I got the filet mignon and it was very tender and was great quality. The staff were very nice and welcoming, the decor was cozy yet modern, and the chef even came out and chatted with us (he was very friendly too). I definitely recommend this restaurant!!
google avatar

Karen H.

Yelp
Love this place! The grilled oysters are not in the menu, but are Devine! I wish I had not stirred up my salad before taking the pics... super flavorful! Greens, blue cheese crumbles, dried cranberries, red onion and balsamic vinegar dressing. The woven shrimp is also a fav and don't forget to try the lobster crepes!!! So much goodness here!

炎

Yelp
Very good food there, and the staffs are sweet and kind! I forgot to take pictures before eating!!! Perfect food! This is the most tender and juicy pork chops I've tried, and I do believe they can make great steaks as well!!! The environment is so elegant, the staffs there very respect customers! I definitely recommend this restaurant and I'll come back with my friends again!
google avatar

Yelp
If you haven't tried Azur at least put it on your list to try for a special occasion. It's actually best experienced with good friends and/or family. I know many probably look at the menu and feel it's a bit pricey. I can tell you that the price isn't just about the food, it's the experience as well. While at Azur you are treated like royalty with a casual undertone(in other words, not too stuffy). Whenever there's something you need the wait staff is right there. And the food! Oh wow! So unbelievably delicious! So go, sit, and enjoy a dinner that's planned from appetizers to dessert or go for brunch with friends and share dishes. One things for sure, you've GOT TO try the Azur Old Fashioned!!

Yelp
I have probably eaten here a dozen times in the last decade and I have always liked Chef Jeremy's menu and specials. Great patio. Those are the positive points. The atmosphere is nice but they put too many tables in a small space. The last few times we have been there we have been disappointed with the service and the execution of the meals. This time my wife got the Chop Salad with grilled chicken. The chicken had been reheated and burnt. It was like shoe leather. I was shocked that they would serve it. To their credit they did remove the charge from our bill. My meal was a special and it was okay, just very bland. I always want to see local restaurants succeed and have have liked Azur in the past but I don't think that we will be going there anymore.

Susan M.

Yelp
Great food wish I could afford to go more. As soon as the weather clears I'm hitting the patio

Truth R.

Yelp
We had a great server( sorry I forgot his name ) helped us with our choices since its our first time here. We ordered the herb crusted salmon - cooked well, salmon was juicy and seasoning was just right signature woven shrimp - this looked so good to eat, the only I didnt enjoy much was the coconut thing on the side, it was too sweet for me its like a dessert. But still giving it a for the shrimp lobster crepe - this was good! Loved the sauce The resto interior was nice though they had the tables set up so close, so you hear everything from the next table

Yelp
This place has a very "boomer but young at heart" vibe. White Bordeaux to drink that complimented everything throughout the whole dinner very well. Service was friendly albeit a tad slow at times--I assume they were busy and we sat out on the patio so I understand that can slow things down. The chef here seems to have some fetish for cauliflower as it appears over and again throughout the menu. If you can make cauliflower pop kudos to you as it is a rather bland vegetable--but I didn't really get much pop here. I had the cauliflower and cheese soup first, which was creamy and tasteful, but not amazing. Really, "good but not amazing" was a pretty consistent verdict for everything I had. The pimento cheese fritters were good but for apparently being one of the best things here nothing to gawk over. My friend got the Pappardelle pasta--cooked well but flavor was a tad bland. The woven shrimp was the most interesting thing I had here--great texture and layering. But again, this is supposed to be one of if not their most recommended dishes, and with that expectation it was a tad underwhelming. I'm really between three and four stars here, but because this ended up feeling rather pricey for the quality of the dinner I'm siding for three. I'll give it another go down the line, but it'll be a few months till then.

Haley G.

Yelp
Overall: Outstanding. Food: The smoked salmon picatta was award worthy. Notably high quality ingredients, top notch flavor, and cooked to perfection. The cheesecake was the perfect texture and delicious. Well worth the price. Service: The entire staff from waiters, to bartenders, to owners was excellent.

Fat Man Reviews K.

Yelp
Over the weekend, Fat Man Reviews ventured to Azur Restaurant and Patio in Lexington, KY. Azur is a chef driven bistro offering locally sourced food in a stylish American eatery. My fiancé tried the Lavender Ginger Lemonade, made with Tito's Vodka, lemon juice, lavender honey and ginger ale. It was lemon heavy, tart with a lot of soda. I had the Maple & Oak. This drink is made with maple syrup, orange peel and Reagan's orange bitters muddled together and Four Roses. It was all bourbon with a slight orange smell. We tried the Pimento Cheese Fritters, fried pimento cheese balls and bourbon peach chutney. The fritters were fried well, and the cheese was creamy. The peach chutney was ice-cold and tasted like peach preserves with a lot of cinnamon. It did not compliment the fritters when combined. My fiancé ordered the 12oz French Pork Chop. This was served with macaroni and cheese and sugar snap peas, not what is on the online menu. The pork chop was cooked and seasoned really well. It was juicy and very tasty. The peas had a nice crunch. The macaroni was overcooked, and the cheese sauce was grainy, it needed some seasoning. I ordered a Caesar Salad ahead of my entrée. This was made with romaine hearts, black pepper, Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan cheese and cornbread croutons. The dressing had a heavy lemon taste. It was good but very thin. The Parmesan was very fine and mixed with the dressing and became clumpy. The cornbread croutons were mostly burnt. For my entrée I had the Ahi Tuna. This is served with seared tuna, cooked to order(rare), Chinatown pork dumplings and chopstick spinach salad with a lemon-ginger sauce. The salad was fantastic as was the dressing. The dumplings were cold and lacked seasoning. The tuna was tough to cut and chew. It had a heavy pepper taste but required salt. There was an orange sauce served with the dish that was very orange, sweet and tangy, but it did not help the dish. Azur has a relaxed atmosphere and a great patio. They serve brunch on the weekends and have a full bar but no draft beers. The Fat Man says that Azur Restaurant and Patio is Not Fat Man Approved.

Yelp
The patio is the place to be at Azur. The inside is very basic and standard. This was our first trip to Azur . The pimento cheese fritters are delicious! The chutney was superb! Definitely recommend.

Yelp
I went to Azur earlier in the week for a business lunch. I tried their signature dish, woven shrimp, and it was delicious!! I just found the risotto to be too sweet but I guess that was to be expected with sweet corn n coconut in it. My colleagues ordered salads and they came in ample servings and looked delicious n fresh. As it's Restaurant Week, I wanted to try their menu so today I went again with a friend. We chose the following... ratings given in front: Starters: - Azur Signature Lobster Crepes ... 5/5 - Farmer Rob's KY Heirloom Tomatoes... 5/5 Main: - Flat Iron Surf n Turf.... 5/5 - Bourbon Fried Chicken... 3/5 Desserts: - Strawberry-pretzel Cobbler... 3/5 - S'mores Bread Pudding.... 4/5 So let's talk about the low scores... - The chicken had too much gravy and not enough mashed potatoes... plus the beans were limp. - The pretzel dessert was not very appetizing to look at... tasted ok, though a bit on the sour side... Service was great on my first visit. Today, though there were hardly any folks inside (some tables on the patio were occupied), it seemed there weren't enough servers there.

Yelp
I absolutely loved Azur. We were seated outside in the patio that has beautiful flowers surrounding. We started with dumplings and the pimento cheese fritters. Simply delectable. The dumplings had a beautiful sauce that was tangy and filled with umami. The pimento cheese fritters were like biting into paradise. We then had the fried chicken which was PERFECTION. the shrimp that is award winning makes perfect sense as to why it won an award. What a stunning dish with a sweet-ish risotto coconut based that paired perfectly with these crunchy shrimp. I was so happy to find some delicious dishes that lived up to their award winning!

Al G.

Yelp
Very very disappointed. Started well. Quickly seated. Very far away in the corner outside. After 10-15 mins I was waited on. Got a drink which came out 10 mins later. Ordered. 15 mins later cornbread came. Ate it over 15 mins. 35 mins later my food came out...cold. Ordered their signature fried chicken and a side of corn risotto. Not difficult items. They comped my drink. But the food being cold after 80 mins I was done to get two small pieces of cold chicken over mashed potatoes covered in cold gravy. I could not tell of it was server or kitchen until it took another 15 mins to pic up my credit card after getting the bill. Five mins later I left. Very sad. 2 stars for the corn risotto may be too much. So I reduced it a star. So disappointing.

Yelp
The food is amazing! Best French fries ever! I don't eat French fries but I tasted my husband's and then couldn't get enough! I had the salmon with pimento cheese grits. The craft cocktails were good. I had the New York Sour. I gave it a 3 because a restaurant like this shouldn't be in a strip mall. It lacks some elegance that goes with this high quality food. I think playing some music in the background would help with the atmosphere. I was hoping to eat on the patio but it was raining. It looks like a chill place to hang.
google avatar

Ace G.

Yelp
So we were in town filming a TV show, and our Executive Producer selected this place. We went dined on the patio which was beautifully covered while we are and it rained. We order a few different appetizers, but the crab cake on the fried green tomato with the hints of strawberries was a beautiful pair. The salmon and artichoke dip was phenomenal as well. We all had wine, I choose the spring pasta which was a beautiful end to the day! I highly recommend this place for those just wanting a place to enjoy your company, and possibly just treating yourself! Oh let me not forget to mention "Suga Mama Ooey Gooey Butter Bar" my goodness I can taste it now!

E S.

Yelp
Dinner at Azur is always first rate and that was no expectation when we dined recently. The staff is very attentive and the patio is lovely this time of year. The relaxed atmosphere only adds to the enjoyment of dining at Azur. We had the chopped salad and the crab and artichoke fettuccini and it was delicious. Of course we will be going back.

Yelp
I come here every time I'm in Lexington. Beautiful restaurant, great service, and delicious food. We got the baked brie appetizer, house salad, and the filet mignon. All amazing! I'll keep coming back!

Yelp
SERVICE NOT THE SAME - read below why Azure has been a staple restaurant for my family for over a decade. The food is ALWAYS DELICIOUS. My mom and I dined here Saturday evening 4/9/22 and our service was TERRIBLE. Mildly busy but not crazy. (I served for a year in college at a local fine dining steak house). I was so excited to be back in Lexington since graduating - food was still amazing. I got the pork chop entree for $38 & I would definitely order again - IF the dining experience improves. The food did not take long at all - it was everything else! We called two hours ahead for rsvp & told there would be a booth table available (we're very short ladies). We arrive and a host openly says "oh we gave that booth away to another couple right before you walked in" Lol dang okay, but also DONT REVEAL that to customer? He appeared young so probably didn't know/care. But the only table "available" was a high top even though 9 other tables were empty inside.. We get moved to a 4-top table. Bottom line, don't assure something is available & then it's not & then say "oh we have it away" ??? Integrity should matter (Integrity should matter). Secondly, the wine suggested to us was not anywhere close to Kim Crawford. The recommendation was far off. (Servers should have more accurate knowledge of wine menu if going to suggest). Took our server over 10mins to finally get our order. Mid waiting, they open the doors from the patio seating area on a day it SNOWED. So obviously it was freezing I witnessed on two occasions where food was brought out to tables then walked back to the kitchen for whatever reason (wrong table, wrong entre)? I had to wait for our servers attention for a water refill, to-go box, & the check the entire evening. Would be talking at the expo counter & overlooked our hand gestures politely waiting. (Servers should be attentive on their tables) Food amazing but Overall, 2/10 because staff needs better training & efficiency. I've served at a local steakhouse restaurant, when I was hired for the job, every single staff had to know the drinks menu, specials, & main menu front to back. We had a strict dress policy. Strict turn over table time. And ALL the servers were attentive as a team - IF ANY table requested extra, or sauce, or a side the first server available would put it in & make sure the kitchen knew. No server would ever be seen from the dining floor, just staring around & chit chatting. If we did - you do it in the back. Presentation matters. And lastly, each table / seat had a number that all servers memorized before hiring. That prevents wrong entre being brought to a table. Take a written test & if you fail twice, you're not hired. Simple as that. For a restaurant as high end, I want high end service. Took over an hour for dinner for what was supposed to be in/out dinner before a show. BEING ATTENTIVE TO YOUR TABLES = QUICK TURNOVER FOR MORE TABLES = HAPPY CUSTOMER = BIG TIP.

Yelp
I have eaten at Azur a number of times and it is always just as good as the last. This time things were a little different, due to the restrictions of outdoor dining. However, the outdoor dining atmosphere was great, and quite comfortable despite the cold, it was like boujee camping. The food was great as usual, and the staff very helpful in the wine selection and entrée selection. To start we had the lobster crepes. You all MUST order these, it's like a crab Rangoon but SO much better, it was incredible and I wish I could explain how good it was but you'll just have to try yourself. For dinner I ordered the salmon. I really liked the flavor and what it was coated in. It was different but good. The spinach it came with was also very good. It was a very proportionate, balanced meal and I didn't feel grossly full when leaving. My parents were both very happy with their meals as well As a recent graduate they congratulated me with a massive candle on our dessert. Very thoughtful and genuine during times like these. I've always been happy with the food and service here, it's located in a different kind of spot but you wouldn't even know it because the atmosphere is great. Get out and try Azur!!

Elaine D.

Yelp
Lunch with friends on the patio. One ordered the truffle fries for the table. While I can't say there was real truffle oil on them, they were hot and crisp. I had a taste of the Lobster Crepes with cream cheese and chives and a base of guava sauce. I'm unlikely to order it for myself. I ordered the Thai Crunch Salad with ginger-soy- peanut dressing. Visually nice and packed with Asian inspired goodies. A good, and hearty salad.

Yelp
Went to azur for Valentine's Day and ordered from their fixed menu - delicious!! Portions were great, food was delicious, atmosphere was cozy and romantic. Great job!

Lois M.

Yelp
What a delightful find! Azur was recommended by a client and I couldn't be happier. I sat at the bar where Savannah recommends the "Eat Your Veggies" with salmon and a beautifully paired crisp white. She offered a fabulous small block of cornbread while I waited for dinner. The advice and service were above and beyond. I may have embarrassed myself with the loud sigh at the first bite. I couldn't help myself. The flavors and seasoning explode in your mouth. Don't miss this restaurant, their wine tastings and ambiance. We'll done!!!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went to Azur to celebrate our anniversary and had no trouble making a last minute reservation. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming with Christmas decorations and a tree but the tables seemed a bit crowded. We were started off with cornbread with butter which was good, but I prefer a sweeter cornbread. I ordered the pork tenderloin, which was served with butternut squash ravioli and a Brussel sprout slaw. It was amazing and they also did a beautiful job with presentation. My boyfriend ordered the mozzarella chicken which included asparagus and mashed potatoes with chipotle sauce. We loved our meals, had great service, and were very pleased with our first experience here. I'd love to come back when it's warmer to be seated at the outdoor patio and hear the live music I've heard they have.

Yelp
To start the food we ordered was not hot and service was very slow. The $15 lobster roll appetizers had no lobster and very salty-overpowered by chili sauce. The woven shrimp were overpriced with nothing to justify it-$26 for 3 shrimp with chewy risotto. The environment and live music was very nice. Menu items were limited. Fish tacos filled with lettuce and tartar sauce with very little mahi. $20 for two tacos. Normally for this price point($125) you would expect very good food and excellent service, but what this restaurant had to offer was a disappointment.

Yelp
Our experience was a 1 for service and a 4 for the food. We had a reservation, but came early and they were able to seat us inside, which was our preference. Lots of open tables and booths, but they sat us at a table next to the kitchen. We asked to move to an open booth, but the hostess said she had to check. She came back and said sorry, it was reserved. We were disappointed and surprised, but she did move us to a better non-booth table which we appreciated. About 1/2 way through our dinner another couple came and took the booth. If they had reserved a both, I guess ok, but reserving a booth wasn't an OT option. Seemed random, but so be it. Our waitress was friendly and likely new, as she told us she was under 21 and could not help us on cocktails, which was no problem. Regardless of her age or newness, she was completely inattentive. We waited for someone to come by on several points during the dinner (e.g., to take our entrée order, see how our meal was before we finished, to fill empty water glasses, to pay). When trying to pay for a long time, I finally flagged down a manager, but he told me he would be with me in a bit vs. coming right over. To be fair, I saw he had to get the rest of an order to a table, so I understand he could not come right over, but he should have sent someone over immediately to see what we wanted. It can't be normal for a customer to be flagging down a manager. Once we ordered, the food came out on time and was reasonably paced. Great selection of alcohol and wine; and reasonably priced. The appetizers were exceptional (cauliflower, lobster crêpes)! The entrees were very good. Woven shrimp was perfectly cooked and unique. The Chef's special bone-in ribeye was perfectly cooked and the accompanying fries were exceptional. The ribeye had good flavor, but for $65 I would have thought prime, but was a bit tough in parts. It still was very good. Asparagus was very good. It's just a shame the service left a bad tasted. Hoping they work on that part and take these points to heart.

Yelp
Me and my team from work had a dinner cure and it was just awesome. The server was nice had a good sense of humor And the food was fabulous. It was a quiet Monday night so probably not typical but I enjoyed the chill vibe. We all had some thing different everybody had the meat and loved it, chicken lasagna was a win as well. I had the goat cheese spinach salad and I absolutely loved it. Also appetizers were crusted Brie and truffle fries. The Brie was divine, we ordered another when it was gone. the fries were yum fries. Very tasty but probably not what you're looking for at this restaurant with so much better options. Still very yummy though.

Yelp
Last night in Kentucky! Unique atmosphere and our server was fantastic, what I always imagined what a true Kentucky gentleman is! We started off with the crab cake appetizer it was very good aside from the mango chutney just a personal preference I HATE mango I would have ordered it without but I wasn't dining alone. Truffle fries with garlic aioli OMG sinfully good, I was tempted to grab the basket and take off down the street with fries falling out of my mouth! FRIED CHICKEN LO MEIN! So good who would have guessed they go together! The chicken was flavorful not dry at all and it was seasoned with chili flakes that gave it a unique kick I've never tasted before, scallions and "Thai drunken noodle sauce" amazing! Do you think TSA would allow me to carry on an overnight bag full of Parmesan fries, fried chicken and lo mein? I just might try it....

Yelp
I've only been here once but had a great meal And one of the best fried chicken dishes I've probably had in Lexington. I stole a few bites of my husband's Mac and cheese and would order that as a side - it was delicious and I love the corkscrew shaped pasta. The location is a little unassuming (suburban strip mall) but they have a great patio which is like to try on another visit. Overall, a good quality southern-food meal at a reasonable price.
