Héritage by Kei Kobayashi（エリタージュ バイ ケイ コバヤシ）

We chose this restaurant for our anniversary after reading that it holds two Michelin stars, and it is located on the 45th floor of The Ritz-Carlton. We had a wonderful lunch experience with top-notch, high-standard service. The staff were extremely attentive and professional, taking the time to explain each dish in detail as it was served. They do not offer a fixed menu; instead, they have a lunch course and several course options by price range (wine pairing not included). We chose the Lunch: Menu Découverte, priced at around 18,000 yen per person. The course included an appetizer, bread, a fish dish, a main course (beef), and dessert with tea or coffee. The portions were perfectly balanced—satisfying without being overly filling. To our surprise, they kindly offered a complimentary anniversary plate when they know it was our special occasion. At the end of the meal, a staff member personally walked me to the elevator and sent us off with a warm farewell, which I truly appreciated. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and I would definitely come back if I have the chance.

Exquisite presentation and thoughtful cooking. European dishes subtly elevated with Japanese techniques—dashi, seasonal ingredients, and delicate layering of flavors. The complimentary consommé made from free-range chicken was deceptively simple yet incredibly complex, satisfying, and memorable. Tremendous work from the kitchen. The only downside is the wine by the glass—very overpriced without a clear justification. Still, a remarkable dining experience overall.

I celebrated my birthday at Key Kobayashi and it was truly an excellent dining experience. The atmosphere, courtesy, and hospitality blew me away! ... 45th floor, great wine selection. While in Tokyo, I'll be back again!

Hinokizaka never fails to deliver a memorable experience! Our chefs explained everything in both Japanese and English, the quality of the ingredients was superb, presentation to match.

Wonderful experience at the 45th floor of Ritz-Carlton Tokyo. Christmas time with special set menu and jolly Christmas vibe, it’s a mixture of happiness and gourmet.

Ordered a three course lunch set with wine pairing and the staff were very nice in explaining dish by dish. We were given a window seat I think it is because of reservation by the view was great. The signature salad was so pretty and delicious. Ate the plate clean. Everything in the menu was great and well thought of, the flavours were all harmonious. Would recommend and would be back.

The restaurant on the 45th floor has a fantastic view of the entire Tokyo cityscape, and I had lunch there. The floor-to-ceiling windows were bathed in sunlight, which was very pleasant. The service was excellent. However, the ingredients and taste were rather ordinary, and the prices were quite high.

Heritage by Key Kobayashi in Tokyo is certainly a very nice experience. We tried a 5 course menu with wine pairing. The selection of wines was really high standard, starting with a Dom Pérignon vintage 2015 and other great selection of French and German wines. Food was probably more notable from an aesthetic point of view than from a purely gustatory one: while the aesthetic was always original, impeccable and super attractive, taste was more a kind of normal. The atmosphere is unique: the lighting of the room, the elegant furnishings and the incredible view create a perfect combination. Service is really nice and kind: however I noticed that when asking a few more questions about each course, probably answers were a bit hasty.... definitely a small detail, however probably something you would look at in a Michelin starred restaurant.
