Fantastic small but super cozy restaurant with such a great menu - everything was so well thought, inventive and delicious. The chef really takes Tuscan and Italian cuisines to a new level, while service and wine pairing were impeccable! I went for the tasting and couldn’t be happier :) A real must if you are in Livorno and want a more refined / sophisticated gastronomic experience. Reservation highly advised

I went to Azzighe Osteria a metà and honestly it was kind of a highlight of my trip, like one of those places you just stumble and then remember later. Inside is cozy, a bit noisy too but in a good way, like people enjoying, staying long, chatting, you feel it. The menu… not big, but feels like each plate is there for a reason, not just random stuff. I ordered seafood pasta, was full of flavor, the noodles maybe a bit softer than I expected but still very tasty, fresh, not heavy at all, I even finished all the sauce with bread. My friend had grilled fish, portion big, simple cooking but that’s what makes it good, not over complicated. The waiter explained the specials, he had a white shirt a bit wrinkled, and I remember thinking he looked tired but still smiling, and he gave us wine suggestion that really matched well, honestly I didn’t even expect it. Prices yeah not cheap, I think maybe a bit high but then again with that quality I didn’t regret. I repeat myself but I really liked that it didn’t feel tourist trap, more authentic, like a spot where locals come too. I would go back next time, for sure.

Had the tasting menu on a family trip to Livorno and it was a highlight of our holiday. The food was all fantastic, each plate was something quite different but all delicious. Service was also brilliant, took the time to explain each dish and the wine it was paired with in English which we really appreciated! Really nice atmosphere too, super chilled and nice decor and bits to look at. Overall 10/10, would definitely recommend!

All in all the food was good. Some dishes very good, some just okay. Given the other reviews we expected more. Wine list was not that great and the service was okay.

Wow wow wow! Worth every penny. A must go, it was one of the best culinary experiences of my life.

Thank you for taking us on a beautiful sensory journey. The food and wine we’ve tried left us emotional and nostalgic, and the gentle smile of the lady serving us calming. Highly recommended for anybody who’s not afraid of seafood. P. S. For future readers fyi we had the tasting menu
