This was our first visit there. It now our new favorite Italian spot. My gazpacho was tasty and they did not skimp on the shrimp. My veal parmigiana was the way I like it, saucy and cheesy…delicious! My husband raved about his meal penne with some Gorgonzola cream sauce. I thought the Gorgonzola would overpower the dish but it was just enough of that Gorgonzola punch. The house bread was delicious. Warm and soft with crispy crust. It was hard to refrain from filling up on bread. I like that they had mocktails. We did not order dessert as we had birthday cake at home. Overall my husband enjoyed his birthday dinner and we are looking forward to going back. Our server was great!

We were here for team dinner. We ordered pear stuffed ravioli, pesto pasta and Mediterranean pizza for main course and zucchini fries, roasted aubergine for appetizer. Almost all of us loved their unique take on pear stuffed ravioli. The vibe was great and the staff was kind enough to click a picture of all of us at the end and arranging table for 10. Their Sicilian mule was also nice. Will revisit with other friends and family and introduce them to this wonderful place.

What a great first visit. Food was outstanding and the service delightful. Tried the Calamari and the beet salad off the specials. Chicken Francese was yummy too. Need to get back soon, many good things to try.

My daughter and I went to this establishment for the first time on 11/5. She loves trying new restaurants. I'm the hesitant one. First, I'm going to say this place is a hidden gem in that complex. The service was great. The employees were so helpful. I have nothing bad to say. I don't know the dish my daughter had, but when I say that it was good!🥹 I kept it simple with the salmon, scalloped potatoes, and a well seasoned broccoli. After that, we shared a nice pc of tiramisu.

Google
The restaurant looks amazing, it has a very cool vibe about it. Our server was amazing, in fact all the people who worked there were friendly and helpful. The food however was under whelming at best.. The 3 stars I gave it were all for the Staff. The complementary bread was great, fresh and tasty but that’s where it ended, the calamari starter was rubbery and bland, the mozzarella caprese was lazy at best. The shrimp risotto had more onion than rice, shrimp was very good though. The veal parm was the worst dish of the night. It was over cooked and drowned in bowls of over sweet marinara sauce, so much sauce that I could barely find the veal. After all the good reviews I read I was left with a bad taste. I would not return.

Google
Nice restaurant atmosphere and good Italian options. Unfortunately the service was weak. Neither the hostess nor the servers were very friendly and we had to keep asking for service (to order, to clear appetizer plates away, etc.,). Felt as if most are students from the University next door and do not have the motivation to offer customer service excellence. Its a shame.

Google
Azurro is a beautiful restaurant in a cute strip mall. The staff were incredibly friendly. I ordered the farfalle in cream sauce, and while it had a nice flavor, I found it a bit soupy and the sauce a bit watery. The tiramisu dessert was good. I’ve had better, but I’ve had a lot worse, too. On the other hand, my wife and I brought a pizza home for my son, and he said it was some of the best pizza he had ever eaten. Two glasses of wine, three entres, and a dessert ran us about $130 before tip, which was a little on the expensive side. Still, it was an overall pleasant experience, and I’d be happy to go back. I would probably just opt for the pizza over the pasta, though.

Google
Fantastic atmosphere! Had a milestone birthday celebration there with 14 folks and it was flawless ! Shannon, our server, was a rock star.. responsive, and had perfect timing for our needs. La cena e stata eccellente !!! Thanks for a memorable occasion and we will be back soon! 😊

Yelp
Azzurro 6221 River Road Richmond,VA This neighborhood-esque Italian spot gives comfortable, cozy yet upscale vibes and offers some of the best Italian dishes (one in particular- see below ) available in the Richmond area. This is a great spot for a quiet date night or dinner with a friend. Think linen tablecloths, candlelight, and twinkle lights. The patio is a hidden gem and is a really nice place to sip wine and eat, featuring a charming vine covered trellis and red brick pavers. I've never eaten a more delicious pasta (including in Italy itself) in my life than the Zachetti Di Pere. I could eat this dish every night and not be disappointed- I'm not exaggerating when I say I think about it at least once a day . This gorgeous dish is comprised of a generous helping of purse pastas (think wonton-shaped tortellini) stuffed with pear and ricotta and swims in a Gorgonzola and spinach cream sauce. The texture and flavor of each and every pasta purse is ‍ . Pro tip: add pancetta for a smoky, nutty, bacon-adjacent flavor

Yelp
Tried this place last week. The location is pretty cool, I like the area and the patio. The service was also really good here. They start you off with bread and butter which tasted great. We ordered pasta, my wife got the pasta stuffed with pear and ricotta, and I got the carbonara. We also go the zucchini fries and we were about to split a full sized salad but decided to just get two side salads. The zucchini fries were pretty good and we enjoyed them. The salads were extremely tiny and grossly overpriced. The full sized salad is 18 dollars and I seriously hope the portion size for the full sized salad is more than double what was on the 9 dollar side Caesar salads that didn't even taste good and barely had a handful of lettuce on the plate. The pasta wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. The pear pasta my wife ordered just wasn't our favorite, it was too sweet and the sauce was overpowered by the sweetness in my opinion. My carbonara wasn't bad but that's not carbonara, that's Alfredo sauce. The sauce was extremely white and milky and didn't taste or look like anything that a carbonara is supposed to look or taste like. The pastas were not inedible or bad, we still enjoyed them, but there is better Italian food that is better priced, more authentic, and tastes better. We will be back to try the pizza because their pizza looked really good but probably won't be back if it's pasta we are craving.

Yelp
Had dinner her with my son and thought the food was just ok. Had the mozzarella and prosciutto and thought it was very good. The calamari was over cooked. The table they put us at was unstable. My entree was ok but the service is not what I am used too.

Rich K.

Yelp
A very small space with tables uncomfortably close to one another-our waitress wasn't very friendly-the $50 lamb was the only lamb I've ever had that was totally tasteless - it was prepared medium rare and it looked medium rare, but it had no taste- the tiny Restaurant was full with no empty tables-this resulted in an atmosphere that was so loud it made it very difficult to have a conversation at our table -

Yelp
Went for date night and it was lovely. Ambience was a perfect date night scene. It's small inside but you can barely tell once seated. Service is friendly, helpful, attentive but not overly so. Food was good. Started with pizza (hubs loves pizza) and it was fresh and delish ( Prosciutto di Parma). Veal tre scalini for me and Pollo Genovese for hubs, both really good and not too hot to eat when served (like when we're in Italy). Nice wine selection that paired perfectly. Tiramisu and cheesecake for dessert, we were absolutely filled to the gills. We preferred tiramisu to the cheesecake but we hear the cheesecake is wildly popular. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and would go back to try other things.

Yelp
In Richmond and looking for some good Italian. Brother who lives local recommended Azzurro, it was great. Got a 7:15 reservation but showed up early and they took us in. Note - the portions are HUGE. If you see an entree you like, really think about if you need an appetizer or salad. We did not order apps or salads and each took half our meals home. Not a bad thing, a great thing because the food is killer. My Pollo Modenese was AMAZING! Chicken, prosciutto, mozzarella and marinara sauce. My wife loved the Chicken piccata. The risotto mixed seafood was great tooThe chicken dishes came with outstanding potatoes and spinach. Loved it. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
I had a nice dinner here with my mom on Easter Sunday. We had a reservation at open (5 pm) and were seated in a nice corner booth near the back. The restaurant seemed very clean and orderly, and our server was fantastic also. We had eaten some snacks at Easter on Parade, so we weren't as hungry as we anticipated we would be. We skipped apps and dessert, instead just ordering entrees. My mom had a risotto on special with pesto, mushrooms, and shrimp. She loved every part of it. The dish was right up her alley. I had the bucatini carbonara, and it was the carbonara I've been looking for in the Richmond area. Gosh, it was so good! It warmed up really well too the next day. I'd definitely return specifically for that dish, but also to try other items. It seems like a nice spot for a formal meal, a corporate meal, a date, or with family.

Yelp
This was my first time eating here after my parents went and enjoyed it. The service was amazing, everyone was friendly and attentive. For a Tuesday night it was pretty busy but they had everything under control. We made a reservation in advance and arrived a little early but were able to get seated quickly. The bread basket was nice and warm with room temperature butter (why can't everyone have this!) My mom and I shared the pesto pasta. We did not add any protein as we are vegetarians. It was delicious, but there didn't seem to be any salt in the pasta so we just added some which was no problem. I'd come here again, but not sure if I would order this exact dish
google avatar

Don S.

Yelp
This was my first time eating here. Service was outstanding. Attentive but not in your face. Food was delivered fast and hot. And, it was plentiful with a great selection. My advice...don't order a big appetizer or salad before your meal! Very authentic Italian food. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the tables are situated so patrons aren't overhearing each other. Highly recommend Azzurro as a first date or special occasion place.
google avatar

Emilie T.

Yelp
We had a great dinner celebration at Azzuros! They handled our large party with ease and the food was delicious! I wish I hadn't waited so long to try it. It's been on my list for a while!
google avatar

Rensom S.

Yelp
It is so unbelievably loud in this restaurant. Live the food and service but can't hear a thing. Even worse if there's a party table since it's such a small space. Bartender didn't know the difference between a Manhattan and an Old Fashioned, will be back though, neighborhood favorite.

Billy S.

Yelp
Only reason it's not 5 stars is that takeout orders aren't nearly as good as dine-in. Which is certainly not uncommon for upscale dining spots. Menu is great. Ambiance is private and warm yet social and inviting. Very clear that there's a strong regulars crowd, which says a lot about any restaurant.
google avatar

Beth P.

Yelp
The food is basic Italian and over priced so not much to comment on but the service at this restaurant is the worst. The waitstaff for dine-in service is so lack luster and if you call in a pickup order the staff is completely incompetent. They can't get credit card numbers correct and when you show up to get your food you have to wait for them to get off the phone with someone else to take your payment information a second time. For all of that inconvenience you get the privilege of an undisclosed 20% service charge. They are stuck in Covid days. Even their website says Covid under "Lunch Hours" whatever that means. Snooty and snotty is the atmosphere here.

Davis K.

Yelp
I went here on Valentine's Day for the second year in a row, and both times they shoved me in the same corner of the building crammed in between two other couples. I know that it's busy on Valentine's Day obviously, but this is a "nice" restaurant and it's hard to enjoy anything when it's loud and claustrophobic. The other time I went (not on Valentine's Day) I had the same spot and it was still kind of crammed. The first time we went our food took so long that they gave us a free appetizer and this time the couples who got there after us had finished and left before we even got our food and got no free appetizer lol. The waitress also kept asking everyone at the other tables how their food was and if they need drinks and never said a single word to us other than when we asked for the check and she said yes. It's clear their business model is to just shove as many people in there as they can and get them out fast. Which is completely unacceptable when you are paying $60 for two pizzas lmao. This place is a joke and the service is terrible I'm very upset that my Valentine's Day was wasted here. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME HERE IN TRYING TO SAVE YOU!!! Just go to Maggiano's or any where else if you want Italian with good service. Two pepperoni pizzas here is the same price as three sushi rolls, some tuna, mac & cheese, and a mixed drink at Red Salt. It's a complete joke for rich people who need to waste their money somewhere lol. I will NEVER be back.

Yelp
After a disastrous evening at a restaurant downtown (shall be nameless), Azzurro was a last minute decision because they had an open table on a busy Saturday night. Phenomenal food, exemplary service!! I rated 3 stars on the ambiance simply because our table was seated close to the beverage service which was a high traffic area. But understandably it was Sat night.

William J.

Yelp
Birthday dinner, food, service ambiance were excellent with a tasty Rockfish well prepared.

Yelp
A friend and I came on Friday for dinner and apps and Azzurro did not disappoint! We shared a wedge salad, calamari, and the bucatini carbonara. I love that they offered a carbonara as I don't often find it on menus. The wedge salad was on the specials menu and it was so good. The calamari was good, but just your average calamari. All of the food was delicious! We also had a great bottle of wine. The server was very friendly as well.

Yelp
This place has potential. My dish was delicious, pear and gorgonzola sauce with spinach. I was definitely skeptical at first but it proved me wrong. 4/5 for my specific dish and the wine was great. 3/5 for interior - this place is confused on the vibes it wants to give off. The front has a big painting of a sky on the ceiling to give off Italian vibes, which felt a bit cheesy. The floor is pretty gross. It would make it feel way more upscale if it had all wood floor. 3/5 for menu - too expensive and only 1 vegetarian pasta dish?! Weird for Italian. 3/5 for pricing. It was so expensive. My friend said the quality of her food was bad and underseasoned. I think my dish was like $28. The bread given at the beginning was too dense and not great. Again, Italian places should have better tasting bread.

Keanna K.

Yelp
While I was chewing my Caesar salad, I discovered a piece of plastic was in my mouth from the salad. The plastic was clear so it's hard for anyone to miss. However, the staff was not rude when I informed them about it, but I felt like since I didn't choke it was not a huge issue. I just didn't think they took it seriously especially when anyone could have chocked on it or have an allergic reaction. I was only offered a free cheesecake and of course I was not charged for that salad. A manager was NEVER sent over. And we definitely spent 300.00 there.
google avatar

Hieu H.

Yelp
Some of the worst Italian food I have ever had, the veal was so dry despite the fact that it was covered and drenched in a cream sauce, I guess that is why they need the cream sauce to cover the quality of the dried veal. Unfortunately, this place is more ambience than it is about quality of food. I have been here twice, and I have tasted the pizza, the pork chops, the ravioli, and the veal dish. Is edible, however, lacking in the quality of the price point. While only slightly better than the Olive Garden, it is twice as expensive and there is no free breadsticks and unlimited free salads. For better pizza I would prefer mellow mushroom. I left this place with regret of the calories consumed and the money that I spent. My wife was devastated and she vowed to never return .
google avatar

Ann K.

Yelp
Be aware that they automatically, charge ALL take out orders ......... a 20% gratuity. They should give us a choice like the other restaurants around them, 5%, 10%, 20%.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
Previous reviews of Azzurro by me have been full of praise. Previous visit they had dropped some in quality, but I was willing to write it off to Covid. This is no longer an excuse. Food was acceptable, not stellar. Review would have been three star but not for the attitude we got on our way out. They now have a time limit on tables of 1:45, but no indication of this was given till we arrived at the restaurant. When one of our party suggested at the rushed end of our dining period that perhaps notice might be given of the time limit BEFORE you get there, she was informed, with attitude, that most parties only take an hour. Please feel free to peruse their menu online and let me know if you think you can order, be served, and consume cocktails, appetizer, entree, and dessert in an hour. I think a two hour limit would be more realistic if you expect your patrons to fully enjoy their meal, and even that is expecting a lot given the leisurely pace of service. Most of the time elements were not under our control. Azzurro was my favorite Italian restaurant in Richmond, but it has crossed itself off my list. We will be looking for a different Italian venue for our birthday celebrations.

Yelp
Excellent food & service. Great atmosphere. Strong staff. Welcoming environment. The lasagna & ravioli are exceptional

Thomas S.

Yelp
Is there a fair and logical rationale for them to require a 20% guaranteed tip on all "to go" orders? I understand that there are some added packaging costs, but there is no waiter service and no seating requirements. When I asked to talk to the manager about this policy, I was told she was too busy. She was bartending and there were 2 people at the bar! I remember when the bar seats would be full with rows of people standing around the bar. I understand that the bar prepares drinks for the restaurant, but come on. Maybe this 20% guaranteed Tip policy is emblematic of the management style that is affecting the patronization of the restaurant. Just seems like a way to supplement the pay of the staff/management at the expense of the customer.

Yelp
We came here for dinner on Father's Day, and my entire family was so impressed with our experience! Our server was very knowledgeable and the service in general was quick and attentive. We ordered the Calamari and the Sea Scallops Gorgonzola. Both were delicious, definitely a strong blue cheese flavor with the scallops, so make sure you like that flavor before ordering. Our family ordered an array of dishes to try. I had the Zachetti di Pere, which was delicious; it had a nice flavor combination of sweet and savory. The Lasagna Amodo di Mamma was also worth mentioning. My sister had the Verdura pizza, and I haven't stopped thinking about it. So good- definitely the best pizza that I've had in the U.S.! We ordered a few desserts too, and I absolutely recommend the Tiramisu. It was a perfect portion to share and the perfect way to end our night. The ambiance outside was lovely, definitely hope to come back soon. Thank you!

Baylee N.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place for a nice dinner out! I've been a couple of times - the dining room can get a little louder in the evenings but it still has a fantastic atmosphere. Make sure to make your reservation. The pasta is always fantastic and you can tell it's homemade - the sauce on the lasagna is to die for. I package it up and eat the leftover sauce with bread the next day!
google avatar

Ira H.

Yelp
Had dinner here tonight. The experience was sub par. The Bombay and tonic had flat tonic water..twice. The calamari tasted fishy. Tomato sauce was bland. The wedge salad was good. The mixed salad wasn't worth it. The margarita pizza was ok with too little red sauce and bitter basil. The salmon with veggies was ok with bland seasoning. We wouldn't return.

Lisa P.

Yelp
We frequently order their pizza for takeout. I ordered a pizza three weeks ago and when my daughter arrived to pick it up, they said the over was broken. My daughter asked about a refund and they said 72 hours. Three weeks later, no refund. I have spoken to someone on the phone and visited the restaurant the other day and was told, "The manager will call you". Still no call. I will continue to pursue the refund, but will not patronize this restaurant again. My order and request for a refund is clearly not a priority. Very disappointing.

Yelp
I'm always shocked to see the lower rating on this restaurant because I have a truly wonderful experience every time I go. The ambiance is warm and inviting (got a great seat by the fire) and my server was attentive. They have numerous specials each night, a brick oven for their pizzas, the best pastas and a great drink selection. They serve complimentary bread and we got the burrata special to start which was delicious. I usually go for the mushroom ravioli (I don't like mushrooms but this is one of my top 5 favorite meals) but decided to take the waitress' suggestion and get the orrechiette and substitute the vodka sauce for the marinara which did not disappoint. The portion size is large so I even had leftovers for lunch today. The price point is a little higher but in my opinion totally worth the splurge.

Kandie S.

Yelp
Food was ho-hum. Not really any better than take out from grocery stores. Service was attentive but didn't quite get the entrees right. Table linens and cutlery were clean but Womens bathroom was a disaster. Ambience was noisy.
google avatar

Da'Vette J.

Yelp
My honey and I went here for date night earlier this week and it has made it onto my favorite Italian restaurants. Our waitress Veronica (I think that was her name) was SO inviting and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall will definitely be back. The food was so good that I forgot to take a picture, so that should say a lot.
google avatar

D A.

Yelp
20% automatic gratuity on take out pizza. Adding $3.80 to a regular cheese pizza not cool, makes total cost $24.90 for a relatively small pie. Been getting pizza there for years, but now done.
google avatar

Marissa A.

Yelp
Unfortunately, one of the worst dining experiences I've had in Richmond. The food was watery and bland and given the price point, we expected something totally different.
google avatar

Haley Alyssa J.

Yelp
Azzurro is an intimate Italian restaurant tucked in the corner of a shopping center next to the University of Richmond campus. The service is excellent, the menu is extensive, and the decor is beautiful, but the food, while decent, leaves something to be desired, especially at its price point. On my most recent visit one starter salad, two glasses of wine, and two pasta entrees set me back $95 before tip, and it wasn't anything to write home about. I ordered the linguine with sea scallops, which was garnished with garlic, basil, and white wine. The scallops were perfectly seared, but the entire dish had very, very little flavor. I could not detect any seasoning other than the fresh cracked pepper brought by a server. A clove of garlic appeared to have been quartered and placed on top of the pasta, but there was no apparent garlic flavor in the dish. I ate the scallops but took most of the linguine home to sauté in robust EVOO and minced garlic, and it was great! Too bad I had to do that myself after paying $30 for it. My companion similarly said her food was just "fine" but "not what I expected," and her pasta seemed to be missing the promised cheese. We also both thought it was a very odd that her Caesar salad starter came with very large wedges of tomato and oranges, but very little Caesar dressing.
google avatar

Karlyn W.

Yelp
Tuckahoe location in shopping center with on-site parking lot. Expansive wine and cocktail menu, bread service, nightly dinner specials, brick oven pizzas, homemade pasta dishes, salads, chicken and seafood. The calamari and pasta dishes were bland therefore I recommend ordering a pizza since everyone loves a brick oven pie. The customer service was friendly and prompt.

Yelp
Went to a pre-half marathon dinner here and had a great experience!! Loved the local ambiance in the restaurant and feeling as if most people are regulars. We split a variety of dishes that ranged from excellent to really good. My favorites were the lasagna (richer) and parpadelle with arugula/sausage (lighter). The pizza & vodka pasta were good but wouldn't order again. Wine bottle suggested by waiter was great to split! Whole meal was pretty affordable - maybe besides the $4 coffees at end of the meal that were tiny and not refilled, but overall great Italian & local experience in Richmond that I would return to again if back!

Paul T.

Yelp
This used to be a great restaurant. It seems that there has been significant turnover of waitstaff. And the food has not been as consistent.
google avatar

Greg T.

Yelp
Went there for our anniversary, actually had our rehearsal dinner there 25 years ago and I worked there at the time. I don't know what happened but it was not good. Calamari was the star of the show and it just went down hill. Wedge salad was horrible, pile of chopped up onions pile of tomatoes and a pile of bacon bits, they tasted like the ones that you buy on the shelf in the grocery store. Wife's tortellini had so much pancetta in it that all you tasted was salt. I got the veal azzuro it was a pile of chopped up crap on two small pieces of veal, not what it used to be. Wait staff had no idea what was going on. Waitress took drink orders and disappeared, after awhile had another waiter come up and try to take our drink order said it was already taken. Another waiter came up and say they were making more tea for us, ummmm we didn't order tea. Won't be going back

Vito M.

Yelp
Azzuro Ristorante exceeded our expectations! The chicken piccata and lasagna were simply divine, bursting with flavor. The homemade tiramisu was so tempting that we couldn't resist taking it home. We're already planning our next visit! Highly recommend!

Ann L.

Yelp
The best pizzas for takeout in the area. Delicious and fresh. Always a favorite for my kiddos.

Saundra B.

Yelp
Great ambiance and great service! My fiancé and I visited this restaurant for the first time today and it was an unforgettable experience. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners and they are amazing people. The food was top knotch. I had the lasagne which was very delicious. My fiancé had the chicken piccata and it was very fresh and lemony- very good! I couldn't help but notice the pizza oven as soon as we walked in the door. We're already discussing our orders for our next visit and I have to try the pizza! If you're on the fence, thinking about giving this restaurant a try, I highly recommend it. We're foodies and really enjoyed our meals, our server was very attentive in the best possible way, great place, A++ experience.

Yelp
The ebony night sky and Winter's chill had Mr. RVA, elated that he bundled up a little before leaving the house. The Hawk Was Out! "Oh well," I thought, as I blasted the heat, passing by the University of Richmond, while taking in Quincy Jones's classic jazz piece, "The Midnight Sun will Never Set." Entering the door, the gleeful chatter of Richmond's West Ender patrons saturated the atmosphere. Being lead to my table, I couldn't help but to notice the light blue, cloud filled, painted mural above my head. White linen cloth and candle ladened tables under warm lightening alerted me that this debonair locale had "Date Night" written all over it. Specializing in elevated, upscale Italian cuisine, and an international wine, are just a few reasons this spot received Diner's Choice of 2019. Ladies and Gentlemen of Discovering RVA, please grant me the distinct pleasure of unveiling, Azzurro. . This has been one of our favorite places to eat Italian in Richmond when we visit our daughter at college. Every dish has been excellent and the service as well.

Yelp
Started with a Godiva Dark Chocolate Martini, a Godiva White Chocolate Martini, Mozzarella Burrata wrapped in Prosciutto w/Red Onions, had the Veal Incappucciato, and Veal Picatta. OUTRAGEOUS FOOD, Great Prices.

Yelp
This was genuinely one of the worst restaurant meals I have had in a very long time. Not even close to authentic Italian at all, but I tend to let that slide if the food is still good - this was not. The bread they give to all tables was so heavy and dense - not freshly made or even decent quality. For dinner, I got the pappardelle dish... it didn't even look or feel like pasta. Most of their pasta is not made in house. The pasta was hard, and every time I tried to lift it with my fork, it would break in half. The sauce was like water; it looked pretty gross. I wish I had a picture to show how disappointing it was. The quality was shockingly low for an independently owned Richmond restaurant. The waiter was fine, pretty stoic and not particularly friendly which I also tend to let slide but it just added to the disappointment of the evening. I would not recommend this place to anyone I like and I will certainly not be back.

Yelp
I went to this restaurant a few months ago and it was a wonderful experience. The servers were great, atmosphere pleasant, and food amazing. I still think about the Zachetti di Pere all the time. I will be a repeat customer for sure!

Yelp
Hadn't been to Azzurro in years. I don't know why I waited so long to go back. The atmosphere was wonderful, our server was attentive. The food was excellent. Party of Four and we had Salmon, chicken piccata, scallops and ravioli. A wide assortment and everything was very good. I definitely won't wait long to return.

Yelp
It was just okay... I like the set up and the service was good. It's family oriented and semi-classy. But the food was just decent. We had the orecchiette and parpadelle pastas. They tasted like a slightly better version of a chain Italian restaurant. Not as good as Edo's Squid or other Italian restaurants in the area. Considering the atmosphere and service, it wasn't as good as expected...

Yelp
Every time I'm in Richmond I must eat at Azzurro. Last night we sat on the cozy patio and enjoyed cocktails, insalata and simple yet exquisite pasta dishes. Their stone oven pizza is quite amazing as well! It appeared our waitress was stretched among too many tables but she did the best she could so I won't let that effect my rating.
