I had my 19 yr old Non verbal autistic nephew excited about going and seeing DOC on Sunday 5-29-25. We showed up at 1:10 p.m. and was unable to get in. With that being said, he got vary upset. It put a vary bitter taste in my mouth. If I were able to give a half star, I would do it in an instant. After all the years I've heard about DOC and never was able to see it, I was extremely excited myself. Plus being able to see it flying for the first time, as a vet, gave me a heightened sense of pride. That was all destroyed when I was not able to follow through in letting my nephew see the aircraft. I thought the public was able to get a chance to see the iconic aircraft. I was not sure of an admission fee but was prepared to pay it. I understand the cost of the upkeep and housing of such a beautiful aircraft. In my eyes and heart, that thought has been destroyed. I wish nothing but the best for DOC, but have to say, thanks for nothing!!
